This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
LMAO Well, that was enlightening. I have watched "So You Think You Can Dance" and I did wonder how they name their movements/steps in order to remember them. I took tap lessons as a kid and our teacher would give us a routine with the steps written on a paper we could take home so we could practice. I especially liked the 'seriously, get your damn hands off of me' move, although the 'pewp' move (pun intended) was very nice, too. ;) Thanks Tina.
SLIN - I have that book on my Nook. I really should take the time to read it. We are in for some cold weather again next week, so maybe that's what I will do!!
Morning...I was awake late and awake early ..hmm, Probably will need a nap I have to drive to the other side of town for breakfast with a friend. We don't get to see each other much and she's helping her mom out with shopping etc., so to save her time...I just drive up there. I seem to have the time.
Going to see Lone Survivor Monday. It's a holiday for some of my friends so off to the movie we go. I seem to have a busier week me t week and I'm for sure going with Tammy on Tuesday. And have a physical on Thursday. Those are always fun when we get to discuss weight and why I haven't been in for to get my colon checked. Ah the joys of drs
No zits in bronco country. Mary and Jodi ....get those bronco things on and send pictures and yell loud We do not want those sneaky Patriots to win.
I downloaded that book you all were talking about. It's looks like a good suspenseful novel.
Hope everyone is back to feeling healthy again. We are in this house..no more coughing. Now I just have to forgive what I'm going to do with seven cans of low fat progressive soup! Blah.
DIANNE - Could u return the soup, or better yet, donate it to your local food pantry? Pretty excited for the games tomorrow!! I definitely will have the same outfit on I did last week :-)
HOdi I'm going to be rooting hard for the 49ers but it will be a real miracle if they win. They were not selling tickets to anyone with a California address. What's up with that? That seems like bad sportsmanship to me. Plus, I watched a segment on TV about their stadium and how it was purposely built to amplify the noise their fans make. The noise is actually dangerous. Glad I won't be there. I wouldn't want to damage my hearing over a football game.
J/L, I read Gone Girl and I really liked it. Lots of twists.
Chad said Seattle is a sea of blue and green. I saw that the 49ers are going to use hand signals and Harbaugh said they are even going to try to lip read. I'm sure they will also have some special 'hand signals' to use! ;)
Jodi, LOL @ master of the jazz hands. We didn't learn that in our class, probably because I took tap lessons before Bob Fosse was born! CRAP I am really OLD!
Dianne Congrats to the Broncos. I feel like the officials really screwed over us in regards to the hit on our kicker. Rules say they should have given us 15 yds (not 5) and the ball would have remained with us and it would have been a first down. Instead, the Seahawks got the ball and it turned the game around.
SLIN - I would have to agree with you on that call. It totally changed the tide of that game. Although I would have to say that I'm so proud of Russell Wilson. He is a Wisconsin Badger alumni!! So now we have two former Badgers playing in the Super Bowl. Pretty exciting for this gal from Wisconsin!!
Good morning, HOoters! It's a beautiful day here. Clear blue skies and a temp in the low 50's. What's everyone up to today? I'm having Dish Network come out this afternoon to move the dish. It is currently mounted on the frame of a wooden structure that is part of the front porch/deck. I'm having that taken out because of wood rot and termite damage so the dish needs to be moved to my roof.
Todd will be turning 40 in March and they are having a big party to celebrate. Sooo, I have begun his scrapbook, hoping I can have it done by the time I have to leave for San Diego. I have gathered everything and it's an overwhelming task. However, I thought the same thing when I started each of the other two, so I just have to keep remembering that.
Barb There are no termites now but evidence that they had worked on the wooden planter. I'm having all of that taken out, anyway. As for the dish, it's not actually on my roof, as it turns out. They have a type of bracket now that actually anchors to the underside of the eaves and is horseshoe shaped, curving and rising up higher than the gutters and then the dish is on that uppermost part. No nailing into the roof. I actually have mine attached to the eaves over the attached garage.
Wind chill advisory again here til noon with wind chills in the -20 to -30* range. We will rebound somewhat over the weekend. Highs in the low 20's and teens. But another cold blast will hit on Monday and Tuesday with highs in the negative single digits. Here we go again!!
Thanks for the good thoughts. Yes, I'm very relived ..we all are. It's been a hard week.
Jodi...you got the 69!!! Congrats. Lol
Barb you are going to be a busy gal the next couple of months. I think it's really nice that you make those albums for your kids I wish you'd come here and make some. Maybe in your spare time?!??
Mary, very sorry for your loss. Hugs to you.
JL...come visit Jodi or me and see how great the cold is...it will refresh you. Aren't you glad you're not going to the Super Bowl? Looks like it's going to be lenty cold there
That was hilarious! Thank you Tina! I think we should all learn these dance steps.
ReplyDeleteOkay, since when are zits contagious? I woke up with one between my eyebrows. Knock it off, Ladies!
ReplyDeleteLMAO Well, that was enlightening. I have watched "So You Think You Can Dance" and I did wonder how they name their movements/steps in order to remember them. ReplyDeleteJ/L, I'm so sorry. I had no idea zits were contagious. I would have stayed on the top branch.
ReplyDeleteWell Tina, that's a few minutes I can't get back! It would have been funnier if you had been in it~ ijs lol!!
ReplyDeleteMy zit is all better :)
Mary Of course it's gone because you sent it over to me!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm going to go to bed and read "Gone Girl". I'm really, really liking it a lot.
Good night.
TINA - O M GEEEE!!! Can't breathe!!
ReplyDeleteSLIN - Well that sucks...kinda like a 3rd eye ;)
ReplyDeleteBARB - Never took a dance class, but I was in our swing choir in high school!! So I am the master of "jazz hands" ;)
ReplyDeleteMARY - Glad your zit is all better!!
ReplyDeleteSLIN - I have that book on my Nook. I really should take the time to read it. We are in for some cold weather again next week, so maybe that's what I will do!!

ReplyDeleteDianne Could the low fat sups be why you lost 8 lbs? If so, I should get some. Then again, I'd probably have buttered bread with it. LOL
ReplyDeletesoups, not sups

ReplyDeleteDianne, Have you tasted that soup. I like the Progresso low fat soup.
ReplyDeleteMary, so generous of you to share your zit with J/L. ;)
ReplyDeleteBarb I wonder if the 49ers special hand signals will include jazz hands. Bwahaha!
ReplyDeleteSLIN - I'm sure the 49'ers "jazz hands" will be more like Mama Z's "bouquet" of the birds!!! Lol!!!
ReplyDeleteSLIN - p.s. that's just stinky about the tickets...imho.
ReplyDeleteBARB - No jazz hands in your tap class? That just seems wrong!! Maybe you just didn't have a name for it yet ;-)
ReplyDeleteJodi & J/L, LOL @ 49er jazz hands.
ReplyDeleteJodi, Yes, just wrong! I just thought they hadn't been 'invented' yet. I am OLD you know!
BARB - You're not that old!! Good grief woman. I think I've seen moving pictures with Shirley Temple doing the before mentioned "hand" ;)
ReplyDeleteGO BRONCOS
ReplyDeleteHere we go....GO BRONCOS!!
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - Looks like a gorgeous day in Denver :-)
DeleteDianne So far, so good.
ReplyDeleteWoot woot!! Broncos r Superbowl bound!! What a great game DIANNE!!
ReplyDeleteWoot woot is right. Perfect football day. Very exciting city right now
ReplyDeleteSorry JL for your loss. Right down to the wire.
ReplyDeleteDianne Congrats to the Broncos. I feel like the officials really screwed over us in regards to the hit on our kicker. ReplyDeleteSLIN - So will I!!
ReplyDeleteGood...thanks JL and Jodi. Get the tassels ironed and ready to go.
ReplyDeleteWent to see Last survivor. Quite a movie and so sad to see what our men go through. Terrible
ReplyDeleteUp early tomorrow as I'm going with Tammy to appt. hopefully to visit my lady in the afternoon.
Good night all
DIANNE - I washed them, but not sure I would iron them ;)
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - Sending big love to you and Tammy today <3
ReplyDeleteDianne Sending love to you and Tammy today, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the love and hugs. Haven't heard anything and probably won't for a day or two. Tam went back to work after test but was pooped by 5.
ReplyDeleteKeep the prayers coming and thank you. Xxoo
Dianne, Thinking about you and Tammy today. Please keep us posted when you get results. ♥

ReplyDeleteSLIN - I just got off of work. Heading home to eat lunch and do some laundry. Pretty exciting, huh?
ReplyDeleteJ/L, YIKES!! Termites? Isn't that an expensive fix? I used to have Dish Net but now I have DirecTV and the dish is on my roof.
ReplyDeleteTodd will be turning 40 in March and they are having a big party to celebrate. Sooo, I have begun his scrapbook, hoping I can have it done by the time I have to leave for San Diego. ReplyDeleteDianne, I'm so happy everything turned out well for Tammy.
ReplyDeleteMary, I'm so sorry to read about your loss. Memories of Cecilia will always be in your heart. ♥
ReplyDeleteJodi, What an exciting day! I hope you found $$$ in the pockets, at least.
ReplyDeleteHOdi I guess doing laundry is as exciting as you make it. ;)

ReplyDeleteHOdi There must be an upside to your cold weather. Maybe there are anti-wrinkling properties? LOL
ReplyDeleteMary So sorry about your sister. Sending love to you. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteDianne Yay for Tammy!
ReplyDeleteBarb Every journey starts with a single step, right? The scrapbook will be great when you're done with it.
ReplyDeleteSLIN - I wish. But for some, I'm sure there is "shrinkage" ;-)
ReplyDelete68
