  1. Good morning, HOoters! At least it is morning here for a little while longer. I slept really well last night. Nyquil type gel caps really help. It's a beautiful day here; clear blue skies and about 60*.

Funny blog, Tina. Thanks for the laughs.

  2. Um, I'm probably not contagious anymore.

  3. J/L LOL. I'll take a brownie! It was beautiful here too. I'm glad you got some sleep and you're not contagious anymore.

  4. I made about 300 dog biscuits today. I got some cookie cutters in the shape of dog bones and used them to cut them out. I gave about 50 medium sized biscuits to my neighbor for his very sweet medium sized dog. The rest are small and are on their way to San Diego for Todd's smallish pup, Sakima. I got a recipe that was posted on Facebook, using brown rice flour and pumpkin.

  5. Barb One of my Christmas gifts from my daughter was a recipe book and cookie cutters to make dog cookies. I baked any yet. That was nice of you to give some of the cookies to your neighbor's dog.

  7. BARB - We had 3 days in the 40's last week. Now back on a downward swing with overnight low's below zero later this week :(

  8. Just got back from Jake's wrestling tournament. I left early because I feel like a piece of rat crap! I hope he does better than he started. He got pinned his first match.

Gonna go lay down. I hope everyone has a good day ♥

  11. HOdi I hope you aren't getting the flu. You def did not get it from me.

  12. That was hilarious Tina!

We got one owl on the mend and another going down :(
Jodi, do like JL and rest up!!

JL, Brownies and a bath, you are def on the mend lol!

Barb, I have never made doggie biscuits. I bet Zoie would love them. Did you have to use "pure" pumpkin or reg canned pie baking stuff?

I am soo sore and pooped! Our long driveway is a sheet of ice. You have to walk on it because the snow banks on all sides are to deep to walk on. My neighbors is the same. It takes me forever to take his mail to him.I look like a penguin walking short slow steps lol. I haven't fallen yet (knock on wood). This coming Tues. he has another operation on his knee, so it will be a while before he is back home and able to get his own mail.

    Where are you Dianne??

  13. SLIN - Not the flu. Just a head full of snot :-(

    ReplyDelete
  14. MARY - Be careful!! Ice is my biggest fear after falling 4 years ago and breaking my arm.

  15. Got a good nap this afternoon. I'm now catching up on the new Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that I dvr'd. I've been a fan since he was on SNL!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Mary, I used canned pumpkin, not the pie filling. Neighbor's dog liked them.

    ReplyDelete
  17. J/L, The neighbor does a lot for me, including lending me his rolling pin so I could make the biscuits. It was the least I could do. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  18. We will have to buy you a rolling pin. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  19. Waving a wing!! Got up an hour ago to use the bathroom and saw Sunway was on livestream. How fun to watch her and the boys perform!!

    Laying back down. Good night!

    ReplyDelete
  20. J/L, I had a rolling pin for years and it looked brand new when I gave it away. Probably only used it once or twice. I gave it away when I had the kitchen remodeled because I didn't have any place to store it.

  21. Just waiting for Sam. We are having breakfast this morning :-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hope you had a good breaky with Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks BARB, I did! With her living and working in Madison, I cherish these times with her.

  24. I had leftover tuna casserole for breakfast. It was yummy! I still have some congestion and even though I got dressed, did my hair and makeup, all I really wanted to do was go back to bed. I didn't, though, but I didn't accomplish anything today, either.

    ReplyDelete
  25. JL, I haven't had tuna casserole in years! I am the only one here that likes it so I don't make it. :(

Jodi, I love that you connected with your daughter. She is growing up eh?

Barb, I would be lost without my rolling pin! I used it today to make tortillas.

Monday I am having a physical. I am over due. I have been worried about my upper leg since I came back from the long road trip to Texas.I have some sharp pain once in a while and I scares me that it could be a blood clot waiting to happen. I guess I am just a little paranoid lol! I'm not even sure a blood clot hangs around for 2 months. I guess I just need some assurance from my Dr.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Mary It's good that you are going to the doctor to have it checked out. Too bad I don't follow my own advice. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi all...Mary, what did the dr say about your leg? Is all okay? How did things go? I'm full of questions today.

Jodi...how are you feeling? I hope better. We are getting snow tomorrow so be ready in a day or two...you too Mary.

JL...I like tuna too. I just never think of making it. I guess that would require turning on the stove. I have all the ingredients.

Barb..How nice that you made all those dog biscuits. You are a busy lady. Btw, we finally received our new schedule for the next year of shows. We have Pippn and Kinking Boots and Motown for three of the shows.

My Tuesday lady moved into assisted living and her schedule changed so now I guess I'll visit on Mondays and she has dialysis on Tuesdays. Didn't know that until tonight so need to adjust this week.

Well, nothing new. Did find out from FB that a friend of mine added away suddenly this weekend. Thank goodness for FB. Very sad as she wasn't sick and not very old either.

    Everyone have a good night

  28. Dianne, I would love to see Kinky Boots. I saw the movie and I really liked it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Barb, I really meant Kinky Boots not kinking ones

    ReplyDelete
  30. DIANNE - Feeling better. I can finally breathe thru my nose. This is the first morning I haven't woken up with the dreaded "leather tongue" from breathing thru my mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  31. BARB - Kinky Boots? Do tell ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. SLIN - I was able to get away with making Tuna Casserole when the kids were little. I called it chicken casserole...lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Mary How did it go with the doctor. I'm actually supposed to do some leg exercises for trouble I have with my left hip but I never do them. I totally forgot about them, actually. Sometimes I'm not a good patient.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dianne I'm sorry about your friend. (((HUGS)))

    ReplyDelete
  35. Barb It's so neat that you get to see all the shows that you do. Good thinking to become an usher so many years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  36. HOdi Glad you're feeling better. This flu has really kicked my butt. Yesterday I changed from Dayquil to Mucinex and I think it helped quite a bit. I still took Nyquil at bedtime as it really helps me sleep through the night.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Dianne, I knew what you meant. Sorry about the loss of your friend. It's a shock to learn something like that on Facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  38. J/L, I know how lucky I am to be able to see all the shows I do. My Hubby and I started ushering because we couldn't afford tickets and a sitter. This way, we only had to pay the sitter. Actually, my Hubby only did it for me because he wasn't all that thrilled about seeing the shows. He was more of a John Wayne movie kind of guy. He got to like it after a while, though.

  39. Well that was an interesting day. I went for my physical and leg check up. They took blood,BP and ekg. I asked when I would see the Dr.. The Dr assistant didn't know anything about my wanting my leg checked. She kind of snickered and said probably the new help. I had to go back this afternoon to see the Dr. My reg Dr was on vacation. I was very happy with his check up. He was very thorough. He doesn't think it was a clot thank goodness. I may have damaged a nerve or muscle when I drove to Tex and back in such a short time without stopping except for gas. I did a lot of driving and my right leg (gas peddle leg) was plenty strained. He can't say for sure, but there is really no other explanation. He put me on a prescription anti inflammatory pill. Hopefully the dang thing will settle down because the pain gets pretty harsh at times.
I was told my next physical includes having something rammed up my arse after drinking nasty shit bleck!!!

Dianne, sorry about your friend :(

I dropped off my recyclable stuff today. I forgot my gloves! No kidding, my hands got so cold that they actually hurt! The wind was blowing so hard that I had all could do to keep my papers from getting air born!
Well, I almost wrote a novel lol!

    later...

  40. DIANNE - Sorry about your friend ♥

    ReplyDelete
  41. BARB - What a sweet thing your hubby did for you ♥

    ReplyDelete
  42. MARY - Hoping your legs settle down. And hoping this is the last of the Arctic air. Only 3 weeks til spring....yay!!

  43. SLIN - Love me a good Nyquil snooze! ;)

  44. Good morning, HOoters. This morning I was drifting back off to sleep when there was loud banging on my door. The plumber guys are here to install the new sewer pipe even though their office people told me yesterday that they would be coming on Friday. There seems to be a communication problem.

    ReplyDelete
  45. J/L, How RUDE! Did you answer the door in your sexy nighty? That would teach him to show up on the right day!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Barb Well, actually I was in my robe but not looking too sexy. Also, I later noticed a message on my land line. Their office had called at 8:17 to ask if they could come today. I guess the rain was so loud that I never heard the phone. It rained hard all day with occasional 50mph winds. There were 6 plumber guys working in that all day long. It is basically done now but they will be back tomorrow with a city inspector to check things out.

    ReplyDelete
  47. SLIN - I wouldn't have heard our land line, either. We hardly even use it!! Usually just telemarketers calling that one!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Waving a wing at BARB! Are you getting more rain like SLIN?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Just checked our weather and it seems like there is no warm up in sight. Windier than a mofo right now driving wind chills down to -30*. Really can't wait for spring!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Good evening!
Bur-r-r-r-r-r. Tonight we are breaking a record for the coldest night in eons!! Jodi, please push back the dammed Polar vortex before it gets to us!!
I wanted to see my great nephew yesterday. He is on his way back to Tennessee tomorrow. I only got about 15 miles from home and turned back. Too much wind blowing around causing white outs and black ice. Part of the road was already closing from drifting snow.
So far over 110" of snow this year! My trip can't come soon enough!! The weatherman just said we will have record lows all next week AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Well, at least you Cali. peeps are getting much needed rain!

JL. about your getting banged so early in the morning....
Did it really take a village to take care of you lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Mary, Wow that's a LOT of snow. I am so glad I don't live where it snows. We have snow close enough that we can go if we want, then leave it and go home to NO SNOW! It rained last night and this morning. It's supposed to rain again by 3am. Everyone is very happy about it. We are on 25% water restriction. The city council was meeting last night to raise it to 40%, but decided to wait until after this rain to re-assess.

  52. Sharon and I went to the movie theater to see a live performance of War Horse from the London stage. They have been advertising things like this and we were going see a live opera at the movie theater a while back, but it fell through. It was really very good and before the second act started, they showed a short documentary about how the horse puppets were made and the people that work them. It was so interesting. We are planning to see La Boheme in April. During the intermission they are going to show what goes on backstage.

    ReplyDelete
  53. MARY - We are getting another round of snow this weekend, but only up to about 3 inches! Just watched the local weather and it's gonna be below average temp-wise until at least the end of next week.

    ReplyDelete
  54. BARB - Wish I knew if any of our local theaters did that. Sounds like fun!
