DIANNE - Thank you ♥ Congrats on your weight loss! U go lady!!! Can't believe what your ex said to your daughter!!

BARB - No, thank you ♥

MARY - I'll take it all ♥ And as far as your hair is concerned, I'm sure you're still as cute as hell lady!!

  3. Thursday Tim and I drove to Cedarburg for a drum corps show. I got to see one of the Moms I met last August. She and her hubby are so cute. They are from Texas and their son plays on the front line on the marimba. They are heading back today and I'm hoping to maybe meet them in Rockford for a late lunch on their way back to O'Hare.

Yesterday we had a cookout at my in-laws. My FIL's b'day is on the 2nd, so it was a combo 4th of July/B'day party! The boys wanted to go to the fair in the next town over, so Paul and I grilled steaks out for dinner. I had picked up some orange/mango juice to put in my Spotted Cow....yum!!! I'm still full!!

  4. Whoops look like we did miss the new blog. Thanks for alerting us. See why we need you young ones around...to keep us on our toes!!

Jodi, Tammy hasn't heard a word from her dad since...jerk!! Thanks but I doubt I'll keep 11 colonoscopy pounds off next week. I'm getting my appetite back ..darn it! Sounds like you had a nice 4th. We went to my ex SIL place and had a very nice afternoon. Your favorite person (my brother) even behaved. Did u get to have lunch with your friends?

Hmmm, what shall we do the rest of the weekend?

How are you feeling, Barb? Better? Hope so.

Interesting food, JL. I've never tried that before either. I would though

Mary, I'm sure your hair looks cute as a button. As we used to day. Looked cute in the picture.

Well, I'm off to bed. It's very late. Night all

  5. DIANNE - Shocked your brother behaved!! Ha! Glad u had a good time. I had actually seen the new blog yesterday, but ran out of time to post.

  6. HOdi You're gorgeous in first today. Thanks for alerting us to the new blog. I skimmed right past it yesterday and again today.

My dog was a nervous wreck yesterday. Hope their aren't too many more explosions today. Someone started in with them around 12:30 last night. I was not a happy camper.

  7. Dianne That was a lot of weight to lose in such a short amount of time. I need to do that a bunch of times over. Maybe then I'd get to a decent weight.

  8. JL, I did have a hair dreaser that knew my hair. She split last fall without warning. She is now working at another salon. I was tempted to follow her, but I have been with this salon forever AND they gave me 3 free hair appointments! They sure didn't want me to go lol!

Jodi,Jim turns 70 on Monday. Geeze! Not sure if it makes me feel older (I'm 66) or younger lol!!!

The guys are sealing/staining the new deck. Stinks to high heaven! I am glad there is a breeze out there!

Dianne, I forgot to tell you how proud I was of you for getting tested!! I am sure you are all pooped out lol!!

My long time friend, Sylvia came to our house Thurs. to fix up our taxes. Jim messed them up and instead of me getting $800 back in State taxes, they claimed I owed $1,600! He will no longer be allowed to do our taxes lol. It used to be easy for him, but now the laws are different and he refuses to do them on line!
I have known Sylvia since I was 6 yrs old. Thanks to FB, we reconnected. She is a smart cookie! She is still tap dancing, cycling, she is an accomplished pianist and French horn player and recently retired teacher. She is also a tax consultant. She keeps up on all the tax laws thank goodness!
    Have a great day all!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Mary Good tax advice is worth its weight in gold, literally. I used to do my own taxes but now my income is more complicated and tax laws different. I'd much rather pay to have an expert deal with it since he knows what he's doing and I surely don't.

    ReplyDelete
  10. JL, I totally agree! She would only accept gas money this time, so I made sure she had a good meal and gave her some of my strawberry jam :) I think I will send her someting extra anyway as she drove a long way.

We are going out to dinner, so I"ll bbl....

    ReplyDelete
  11. SLIN - You're welcome!! I hope the fireworks die down tonight....poor puppy :(

    ReplyDelete
  12. MARY - For the sake of getting your hair right, it might be better to follow the gal that knows your hair! Wish Jim a Happy 70th from me, and you're not getting older, you're getting better!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Paul and I are heading out soon. Jake and 3 of his friends signed up for the pig wrestling contest at the fair in the next town. YEE HAW!!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. DIANNE - It didn't work out to meet my friends today for lunch. I had to go to Madison to try and get my camera fixed. It's under 2 years old, so the guy said to find my receipt and he would send it in under the warranty. The only thing that sucks about that is I won't have it to take pics tomorrow night at the drum corps show I'm going to in Illinois. Oh well, I will still have my phone for up close shots :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jake and his teammates didn't get first, but they did catch the pig. GOODness!! So fun to watch, and what noise those pigs made!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Just watching the rest of The Sunway Show on Livestream, then it's bedtime for this HOoter!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks Mary...I was pretty proud of myself too as I've been putting it off for years.

I think I'd follow my hairdresser after all those years. It's like a marriage. How was dinner?

Jodi, I've never been to a pig wrestling contest. I don't think we get to have those in Denver. How fun to watch one with someone you know in it. I'll be the had to shower after all that mess bummer about the camera but our trust worthy phone is always available!

JL, I think I gained the 11lbs back tonight. We went to Steak and Shake and I had a hamburger, fries, and a salted pretzel Carmel Shake. I don't even like shakes but boy was this one good. I guess it as a short lived loss.

Barb, what r u what to today? Feeling any better? Hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Barb, meant to say what r u up to today duh

    ReplyDelete
  19. SLIN - It was hilarious to watch! And of course they had the "pit" full of water and muck!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. DIANNE - Only in Wisconsin...or maybe Iowa ;)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Best get prettied up for work. Heading to Illinois for one last "local" drum corps show this afternoon. It is somewhat close to where LOIS'S SIL lives, so I'm staying overnight with her!! She's the one that takes LOIS and I to the airport when we've traveled to Hawaii.

    ReplyDelete
  22. DIANNE - I will and thank you ♥

    ReplyDelete
  23. I had the dog on a leash when I took her out tonight for her last potty break. Good thing, too, since we saw the skunk. She really wanted to chase it. I guess she has a short memory.

  25. SLIN - Thankfully you don't!!

  26. Just got back about 45 minutes ago from my adventure in Illinois. The show was fabulous last night!! I didn't get back to Kim's until after 10:30. Makes for a long day when you've been up since 2 am. We had a couple of beers and passed out. I slept like a rock. Didn't even hear the thunderstorm that passed thru the area. Went and watched the Madison Scouts rehearse for a wee bit before I made the trek back to Wisconsin. What I thought would be a quick stop "on the way home", turned into over 6 hours of driving today. I should've consulted a map. The gps said it would only take a little over an hour to get there, but it took almost 2. It was about 30 miles out past the exit you would turn off of to get to LOIS's. OY!!! Oh, well. It was a lovely day for a drive!!

  27. I have not been feeling better and today I really felt worse, so I called Kaiser again and I talked to a doctor. He diagnosed me over the phone - bronchitis! Amazing how they don't even have to see you. He heard me cough but he couldn't listen to my chest. He asked ME if I was wheezing. I said, "I don't know." I did tell him I am feeling very weak and I get out of breath just walking to the bathroom. So his choices were pneumonia or bronchitis. Last time I had pneumonia they had to X-ray my chest to be sure and I had no fever. Anyway, he said I didn't have pneumonia because my fever is only 100. Anyway, he prescribed a Z-pac for me and a new cough med that's a tiny capsule like my Vitamin D pill. I hope all this stuff works, cause I am exhausted from coughing and not sleeping.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Barb Gee, I'm sorry you are still feeling so poorly. I sure hope the Z-pac helps you. Another friend of mine was just prescribed a Z-pac, also, for symptoms sounding just like yours. Until then, I'd never even heard of it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think z-packs work pretty good. That's what they gave e before my cruise. Your lucky they will prescribe over the phone, Barb. I'd much rather do it that way. Sorry you aren't any better. I've never heard of a pill for coughing.

Boy, things have been quiet on her for a couple of days. I had to check to make sure I wasn't missing a new blog again.

I'm trying to once again pack for a short trip to Durango with my daughter and granddaughters. Were leaving Friday and coming back on Tuesday. It's about seven hours from here. Down by Mesa Verde. So far I have packed my bathroom bag and my alarm clock!! Grrr

Not much new around here. Had to go to the dentist today for a cleaning. Not excited about it.

Just wanted to drop by and say hello.

Jodi are you all rested now? Hope so.

Mary, looks like you are getting some painting done at your house. Check in girl.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dianne Sounds like you're going to have a fun girl's get-away with your daughter and granddaughters.

    ReplyDelete
  31. BARB - I hope that Z-Pac does the trick! Feel better lady!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. DIANNE - As rested as I can be! Today is my auditing day. I'm meeting Joann at the first store, then traveling ahead of her when she chats with the managers about out of stocks and ordering. It will save time because I can load her 4 price guns before she gets to the next store and we can keep going! I will also get paid mileage today :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. DIANNE - P.s. Have fun on your girls trip!! Hopefully it's what you all need ♥

    ReplyDelete
  34. I picked Sam up from work yesterday and took her to urgent care in Madison. Her ears have been plugged for some time and is having problems hearing. (Seriously I think she and Jake are related to Shrek!!!) The nurse used 2 bottles of peroxide to clear out the wax, but couldn't get it all. She was referred to an ENT because they think the buildup is pressing on her ear drums.

    ReplyDelete
  35. SLIN - Waving a wing at you pretty lady!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Today I replaced a couple of halogen lights in the recessed lighting in the kitchen. No big deal but I really am not fond of being on a ladder.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Today I went to WW and gained some of that colonoscopy weight back...boo. That's what happens when you eat ..dang it

I'm half packed for my for day trip but no clothes yet. The kids don't want to be in the car for seven hours and would like to fly hmm. Hope they sleep maybe I will give them Dramamine.

JL...I don't think you should be on a ladder ...too scary and dangerous. Get your son to do that or a neighbor. We don't Ned sny broken wings in here

Jodi..glad Sam is better and going to a specialist. I'll bet she is going to hear a lot better

    Barb, any better yet?

    ReplyDelete
  38. SLIN - That is on my "to do" list today, but first must make a run to Wallyworld for bulbs!! Glad you didn't break anything ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. DIANNE - Just take a bottle of Jack....that should knock them out! lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Starting today I have 5 days off. Going to get some running and laundry done today. Tomorrow I'm taking GOLDIE'S Mom up to the campground. Her whole family is up there including her son that lives in CALI, the Grandkids and their parents. I haven't seen any of them for so long!! Saturday Jake has a Tug of War tournament, and I might drive back down to Illinois on Sunday for one last drum corps show. There are a couple of really big corps competing that night, including the DCI World Champs from last year!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. P.s. ITEACH is meeting me at the show Sunday night!

Have a great day HOoters ♥

    ReplyDelete
  42. HOdi Sounds like you have an activity-packed 5 days off. You are so full of energy. Wish I had half of it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Dianne Teenage girls don't always get what they want, now do they? They may end up enjoying the ride more than they are willing to admit.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Jodi..oh, I thought the Jack was for me!! Well, I'm all packed for my five day excursion. Now we shall see what time my daughter can get over here in the A M to get a somewhat early start. Jodi, have fun on all your days off. Sounds like you have a lot of plans.

JL, no they don't and if I were raising them the would get even less of want they want than they do!!! They wouldn't like me very much.

Barb, check in. I'm getting worried about you.

    Mary....?????

    ReplyDelete
  45. Dianne Safe travels tomorrow. I hope you all have an enjoyable time.

I think Barb and Mary are on the infirmary branch.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hello HOoters.

I think the Z-pac is working. I feel a little better and am getting more sleep. The coughing still wakes me up but I get more sleep between the attacks. I still have zero energy, though!

    ReplyDelete
  47. J/L, I have a claw-like thingy that I put on the end of a broom handle to change my recessed lights so I don't have to get on a ladder.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dianne, riding in a car for 7 hours with teenagers that don't want to ride in a car? That sounds like loads of fun! I hope it turns out well.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Jodi, It sounds like your new job is keeping you busier than before! Are you liking it?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Mary, How are you doing with the boot? Did you find a shoe that would even you out?

    ReplyDelete
  51. DIANNE - Hope you have a good trip! And I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em....lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. BARB - Glad you are starting to feel better. Give a couple more days and I bet you will get your energy back. Until then just keep doing what you're doing!

    ReplyDelete
  53. BARB - P.s. I only have 2 more days that I will be auditing with Joann. I knew going in that it might be a "temporary" situation. But I've learned so much and will be better able to help my store leader with tags and signage!

    ReplyDelete
  54. SLIN - One word.....coffee!!! Shocking, huh? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Well, we have arrived in Durango and the drive was nice. No whining by the girls..they actually talked. They slept and used head phones to listen to their music. It's very hot here.

Now we are going to Walmart to get snacks and a swimsuit for Em as she forgot hers.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dianne I'm glad you all arrived and with no drama. Yay! Hey, did you remember your bathing suit?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I took myself out to dinner and my plan was to take the dog for a walk when I got home. That plan went out the window when I drove by my neighbor's house and saw our neighborhood skunk smelling the wheel of his car!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dang it...forgot my bathing suit. Guess if I want to go in the pool I'll have to go skinny dipping. I wonder if that would embarrass the girls? We are trying to decide what to do that isn't a lot of walking. Monday we ride the train to Silverton for. Lunch then back so that's a full days trip. Sunday they are going to go to mesa verde. We are going to find a place to sit me as I've been there and I don't think I want to be climbing ladders to look at the Indian homes There's a lot to do but they aren't interested. In a melodrama or chuck wagon dinner. They want to swim tomorrow, shop and go to the movie and dinner. Maybe that's when I'll surprise them with my "suit"

    ReplyDelete
  59. P s keep the dog and new collar away from that skunk. Can't u shoot it or something?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Dianne At least you always have your birthday suit. I think you should wear it. It will really top off your granddaughter's vacation experience, don't you think?

I don' want to kill the skunk. I just wish it would stay up on the mountain. It's a small one so it must be young.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hellooooooo!
I did find a shoe that came close to the height I needed. I asked the lady if I could by just one lol! They were $55. I used my $20 off Macey"s coupon, $10 I won at the VFW membership pool and $25 I won on the VFW's monthly calender money drawings (nationally). not bad eh?

Barb,I got tired of dragging the dam ugly boot around the house, so I have been wearing my Crocks. After my pain started coming back, I put it back on :(

Dianne, I think Whabby was thinking of going "bear-nekkid" too lol! I hope your drive back goes as well as the drive there! I can't imagine traveling with teenagers...that far!

JL,PU!!! Something keeps attracting Pepi La pue!! I don't blame you for back tracking!

Hodi!! Slow down little Bunny!! Have a spotted Cow and relax this week end!

I am worried about my neighbor Jim. He called me earlier and asked me to keep an eye on his cats in case he doesn't make it back home from the Emergency room. Seems both of his legs went out from under him! He has been doing so well! Now this!

    Later....

    ReplyDelete
  62. Mary, oh no. I hope your neighbor is okay. I know you said he'd finally recovered. Let us know. You'd better keep that boot on.!!

Today we went to see the movie Tammy. It was really funny. We had a good Italian dinner. Tomorrow it's Mesa Verde. Kind of rainy today but not so hot. Planned on the kids swimming but they ended up not doing that anyway. Kind of a laid back day.

Ok JL..don't kill the skunk but stay away from it. I should jump in that pool in my bday suit. Wouldn't they just die? I embarrass them enough every day. Won't let them listen to their bad music either so they use earphones. Mean nana

    ReplyDelete
  63. Dianne, thak Goodness for earphones lol!!
BTW, I found out that neighbor Jim's infection has come back in both knees! He sounded so scared when I talked to him earlier. I am afraid his Dr is going to insist on amputation! Jim has been trying to avoid this for so long! Keep him in your thoughts and prayers please.tyvm!

We are expecting a bad storm to come through during the night. We are also in the path of a possible tornado! It's going to be a long night for my Zoie! She is already petrified from neighbors shooting up fireworks earlier! Here's hoping we sleep through it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. 69. woopie!!it's been a while ;p

    ReplyDelete
  65. Mary, you had to buy a shoe(s) to even you out? I just used one of my Sketchers walking shoes. Not too classy, but it worked perfectly. And you shouldn't be walking without that boot! If you don't keep it on, it will take longer to heal!

    ReplyDelete
  66. J/L, good plan not to walk the dog with that skunk around.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Dianne, sounds like your girls getaway is going well.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Jodi, I hope Jake does well in the tug of war.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Barb, you didn't tell us how you were feeling now.

    ReplyDelete
  70. MARY - I had a couple Spotted Cows on Friday when I was with GOLDIE and her family!

    ReplyDelete
  71. MARY - Sending a prayer for your neighbor. He has been thru so much.

    ReplyDelete
  72. BARB - Jake's team did really well! And the timing was perfect. It started sprinkling right at the end. Poured like a mutha on the way home.

    ReplyDelete
  73. SLIN - Glad you and the dog didn't get another dousing!

    ReplyDelete
  74. DIANNE - Glad you are having a good girl s weekend! Tammy looks hilarious. I love Melissa McCarthy!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Mary Congrats on getting the right height shoes and using all those discount coupons, too boot. No pun intended. I agree with Dianne that you need to keep that boot on, as annoying as it may be.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Dianne I think it would be hilarious to embarrass the kids that much but of course they wouldn't find it funny at all. Anyway, it sounds like you all are enjoying your time together so I guess you best not mess it up with any outrageous antics. Besides, we may not have enough in the bail jar.

    ReplyDelete
  77. HOdi The tug-of-war would have gotten real interesting if it would have been raining cats and dogs, too. Oh, the slipping and sliding! Could have been almost as fun to watch as the pig wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Barb I'm glad you're starting to feel better, finally. I am on quite a kick with that red wine we discovered that we like. I've been having a glass most every night. I hope that isn't going to turn into a problem. I worry about stuff like that. Anyway, I also discovered that I like to drink my red wine the way Diane Keaton does; in a tumbler with a lot of ice. Very refreshing.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Oh, my Wi-Fi router died today. Rats! Now I have to go get a new one.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Made it to DeKalb. Just waiting for ITEACH and her boy to get here!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. SLIN - Not a fan of red wine, but a nice chardonnay on ice i could go for!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Today was mesa verde. I sat in the cafeteria while they went on a 2,5 mile hike thru some dwellings. They were pooped and hot when they came back. I worked on a new phone book and people watched. Tomorrow we leave at 8:15 on the train to Silverton for an all day trip. We will be back at 5:00. It's a very pretty trip and I think no cell service ...yay!! We will be there for two hours.

Jodi, sounds like u and Iteach are having fun tonight. Drive safe.

JL...I just can't get a taste for wine. I wish I could as I think it would be nice to have a glass at night.

    ReplyDelete
  83. JL, I love red wine! I especially love red wine, not to dry. What is the name of the wine you have been "sipping"? :)

Dianne, the pictures of the dwellings are awesome! I would love to go there! The train ride sounds like fun! I love ridding trains!

Jodi, the tug-0-war vid was cool! Love that you shared! You sure are getting around lately lol!

Barb, yay, on your getting better! I am being a good girl and wearing my boot. I have to admit, it is feeling better.

Tomorrow I am meeting with my comp lawyer. General Motors wants me to take a settlement. I have been putting it off because, frankly, I have been getting good money weekly, but they are threatening on cutting it more and possibly making me get a job with less pay. I know I can't handle being on my feetwith my bad knee, or using my hands with my having had surgery on both, so I think I will take the settlement. We just need to get the papers in order and see how much the lawyer gets out of it, prolly 10%. I will still have my retirement from them and Chrysler with my SS, so I should be ok.

Time to check on my farms and get to bed....

    ReplyDelete
  84. HOdi and Dianne I have never been a big fan of wine and not much of a drinker at all, actually. This is the only red wine I have ever tasted that I actually like.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Mary It is Roscada Rosso Dolce. Barb and I discovered it when we went to the Olive Garden. At the restaurant they charge $25 a bottle but I can get it at my grocery store for $10.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Good Morning HOoters.

I'm still hangin' in there. My cough is better, meaning I'm not coughing as much, but I still have no energy and I still feel weak. My legs almost gave out from under me yesterday, but I didn't fall. I am afraid to drive, so I didn't go to Church yesterday. I hope this doesn't last much longer. I am not getting ANYTHING done!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Mary, From the voice of experience, the more you wear that boot, the quicker your foot will heal.

That wine J/L was talking about is really good, and it isn't dry at all. I don't usually like red wine that much, but I like this one a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Dianne, it sounds like you're having fun on your girls trip. Sharon and I have talked about taking a long train ride someday, like starting in Vancouver and riding all the way to the East Coast of Canada. When Sharon, J/L, Lynn and I were were in Sedona, we took a train to the Grand Canyon. It was just a day trip, too. I loved it!

    ReplyDelete
  89. J/L, I am all set for the Bachelortte tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Jodi, That is a great pic that you posted of you and Jennifer and her son. Her kids are getting so big. You should tell her to get back in the nest!

    ReplyDelete
  91. DIANNE - The competition was awesome! We had gone to a marching band competition together years ago. It was great seeing her son get excited! I didn't realize, but he is taking drum lessons. He saw some of the top drumlines in the country last night :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. MARY - Glad u enjoyed the video! I had 5 days off, so yeah, gonna pack as much in as I can!

    ReplyDelete
  93. BARB - I didn't even think to ask her, but I will!

    ReplyDelete
  94. SLIN - My body finally said "whoa" today. Took 2 naps! Ha!! Just hope I can sleep tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  95. 100!

    Good night HOoters 💜

    ReplyDelete
  96. Mary I mistyped the name of the wine. It's Roscato.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Barb I'm ready for the Bachelorette, too, and that's including the wine.

    ReplyDelete
  98. HOdi Well, dang, girl! You are running yourself ragged. No wonder you had two naps today.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Happy day! I didn't have to get a new Wi-Fi router, after all. I just had to shut everything down, unplugging the router, too, and then wait a while. When I hooked everything back up, voila! Everything is working like a charm!

    ReplyDelete
  100. SLIN - I guess I needed the sleep, I got a solid 5 hours after I last posted! Glad u didn't need to get a new router! Sunday before I left for Dekalb my phone was acting wonky, and wouldn't pick up a GPS signal. So I restarted it and it was fine!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Thanks JL, I wrote it in my phone notes so I won't forget the name. Yay on fixing your router. My son always suggest to reboot anything before panicking lol!

Jodi, I remember losing my GPS around Chicago last year on my way to Texas. We took the wrong exit and wound up going the wrong way down a one way! We finally figured out about turning off the phone. WHEW!

    ReplyDelete
  102. MARY - Nothing worse than losing your signal in an area u don't know!

    ReplyDelete
  103. DIANNE - Looks like u had a wonderful trip! I especially liked the pictures Tammy posted of the train ride. What a beautiful state u live in!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Mary Once in the middle of crossing the San Francisco Bay Bridge, I temporarily got someone else's GPS directions. Here I am only half way across the bay and the GPS lady tells me to turn left. Ha! That would have been quite difficult to do. One second later, I had my own signal again.

    ReplyDelete

  106. So Sunday night, Tim used my car. All was well until he called and said my passenger side front window wouldn't go up. He has a friend that is rather handy with cars, so he suggested replacing the switch on the drivers door that controls all the windows. That did help, but not for the passenger one. He also has a friend that works at Firestone. Shane extended a great friends and family discount to me last year when I needed new tires and a couple of other things done on the car. So I took it in today. Had the pleasure of paying $55 to have it diagnosed, and it would be over $350 to have the motor replaced on that window. No discount this time. The part alone was going to be almost $200. For a REMANUFACTURED ONE!!! Thankfully I texted Tim and he called a local scrap yard. They have the part I need for only $75. AND my son can install it for nothing!!

    Ok, rant over....thank you :)

  107. JL, oh my! lol! I used my GPS to meet friends of mine for lunch. It took me straight to a cemetery lol! Funny what one leeetle number, put in wrong, can mess up your directions!

Jody, WHEW! Glad you didn't have to pay the higher price!

It has been kind og cold the last few days. I had to drag out my sweats lol!
I went to visit my late Brother Tony's Gr Grandson today. He is visiting from Tennessee. I want to make sure he knows who his Grandpa's family is, and that we love him :) He is almost 4 yrs old and a doll. I am picking him up and taking him to our County Fair next week. Should be fun!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Well, dang! Tim tried, but it's still not working. He and his friend thinks it is something to do with the wiring. Guess its time to whip out the clear plastic and duck tape. Grrrr!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. MARY - I've been enjoying the cooler temps, too. Although I'm also looking forward to a warm up for the weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  110. A friend of mine is recovering from knee surgery. Tonight I am going over to her house for dinner. Her husband is going out to get us Vietnamese sandwiches. I've never had them before but they sound very tasty.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hi Everyone...I'm home and all unpacked and doing laundry tonight. We had a really nice time. The kids were good and everyone got along. We only annoyed them a few times. They had their ear phones 3/4 of the time. It was fun spending some quality time with Tammy too. It was so beautiful everywhere we went. I wasn't quite ready to come home yet.

Barb, are you well now? I hope so. It takes so long to get over that junk. The train ride was fun and I've done it a few times but the girls were getting bored by the end. It was 3-1/2 hours one way, two hours for lunch and then back. We had an outside car. Boy were we filthy with soot from the steam engine when we got back...gross!!

Jodi, that's crazy how much to fix a window. What did you end up doing? Btw, my bronco tickets arrived in the mail this week. Time to take out the shirt. Have you ever been to colorado?

JL, hmm, interesting sandwiches. Tell us all about them. Glad you didn't have to get a new router. You're pretty darn smart.

Mary, I used my GPS and I'm kind of new with it. I just got it for Xmas. It was pretty helpful. Once in a while she had us turning at weird places. Glad you had fun with your family. Those little ones are so cute. Get a funnel cake at the fair..all that yummy food. Have fun and wear that boot.

Well, my dryer is buzzing and calling me. I went to Sonic for dinner tonight it was buy one hot dog get one free so I bought four. Louis was so excited to have dinner.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Dianne I'm so glad you all had such a nice time together. LOL @ Louis being so happy to have dinner.

The Vietnamese sandwich was quite good. The beef is called Shaking Beef. It's very tenderized. There were marinated onion, shredded carrots, cilantro, and cucumber in it also, all on a very good French roll. Oh, and raw jalapeno peppers! OMG! These were extremely hot so we took them out and put in jalapenos out of a jar.

  113. Stopping by to say HI :-) I'm so sorry I dropped the ball on coming in here. I keep forgetting. But I have now put a post-it note on my computer so that I remember to stop by and see how all you lovely ladies are doing. Dianne and I had a great visit at lunch today. It was really nice to see her again! Hope all of you are having a wonderful day :-)

    ReplyDelete
  114. Barbara Love the new pic. You're "glowing". :)

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yea!!! Glad to see you Barbara. We've been missing you. Thought you forgot us..sniff. We had a great lunch and visit today. It's always nice to see you and especially since we got to know each other so much better on our Chicago trip.

Hi JL ...you behaving today? I had a dentist appt but they canceled it. I think I was the last for the day and they wanted to go home. Ok with me.

Did I tell you all I went to see the movie Tammy? It's so darn funny. I recommend it if you want some laughs with Melissa McCarthy

  116. DIANNE - I put clear plastic over the window for now. You know, from one of those window insulating kits. Works like a charm! Next week I'm taking it to a mechanic I trust. He will do the job right, and not charge me an arm and a leg.

    ReplyDelete
  117. DIANNE - P.s. No, I've only flown over your state.

    ReplyDelete
  118. BARB IN WA - Nice to see u here! How nice to be able to have lunch with DIANNE! I hear it was rather aerobic 😁

    ReplyDelete
  119. So what is everyone doing this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hello HOoters.

So yesterday I was feeling much better and I thought I was finally on the road to recovery. Then I had a very bad night and decided I should call the doctor again today. I had to resort to having my sister take me because I was really too weak to drive. So they did all kinds of blood tests, x-rays and an EKG, as well as a physical exam and the bronchitis has turned into pneumonia. CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  121. I hope everyone else is having a good day.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Wow Barb, that's bad. What did they give you? Maybe they should have put you in the hospital for a few days. You've been sick for awhile now. Are you okay to be alone?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Barb Well, damn! So sorry you are so sick. Let me know if there is anything I can do. I can come up there. I'd have to bring the dog with me but she's a very sweet girl.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Dianne I'm glad you and Barbara had a nice lunch and visit but didn't you miss the rest of us? *sniff*

    ReplyDelete
  125. HOdi I hope the mechanic will be able to fix your window for you. Poor pimpala!

    ReplyDelete
  126. BARB - So thankful that you went back in! Hopefully they gave you something to get you better....STAT!! Love u lady ♥

    ReplyDelete
  127. Thanks SLIN - Poor Pimpala, indeed! It's looking a little rough around the edges, but it still runs great! Love that car ♥

  128. Up early on my day off. Jake has a Tug of War Tournament down in Monroe at the Green County Fair. It's the "Nationals" and a qualifier for the Worlds Tournament that will be in Madison, Wisconsin at the end of August. I imagine the competition will be fierce today. Everyone is vying to get a spot on Team USA!

Later today is my 30th Class Reunion! Really looking forward to it. We did it up big for our 25th, so this time we are just gathering at Christy's Landing on Lake Waubesa. Our classmate Eric Christenson's family has run this bar/restaurant for over 40 years. He has reserved the upstairs and balcony for us. Plenty to eat and drink and 80's music blasting. Should be fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Jodi, I'm taking another round of zpac and I also got a bronchial inhaler, which I have never used before. I've been told to REST! That's pretty much all I have been doing. I go back in two weeks for another x-ray to see if the fluid in my lung is gone. On the one hand, I am tired of doing nothing, and on the other hand, I am too tired to do anything! My energy is totally zapped!

    ReplyDelete
  130. J/L, Thanks so much for the offer to help. I'm spending my days taking naps and that's pretty much it. I have been eating soup and drinking orange juice between naps. Very boring! My son has been checking on me. I don't know how long this is supposed to last, but I hope it clears up soon!

    ReplyDelete
  131. HOdi Hope you're having a ball at your reunion. Should we get the bail jar out?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Barb I sure hope you start feeling better soon. Are you reading a lot? Have you watched any good movies? I hate when I'm bored but too tired at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  133. BARB - Keep doing what is prescribed. Sending healing prayers for u my friend <3

    ReplyDelete
  134. SLIN - A good time, and no we made it home safely! Not quite the turnout I thought we would have, but it was good reconnecting with the ones that did come :)

    ReplyDelete
  135. J/L, the TV has been on almost constantly and I have started watching a few movies, but I have not been able to stay awake to see the end of any of them until today. I am watching Anna and the King with Jodi Foster and I think I'll make it to the end. This version is much closer to the book.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Jodi, I'm glad you had fun at your reunion. It's so nice to reconnect with schoolmates.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Good Morning Ladies :-)
Barb...So sorry you are sick. I hope the meds and rest kick in quick so that you are feeling better soon :-( Is this the same crap that some of us brought back from HOFest? Mine lasted about 7-10 days. Wish we lived closer to you. I'm sure all of us would be over there taking care of you!

Sounds like Jodi had a great reunion! Will be checking FB for pics of her dancing on the table top :-)

Dianne, we were going to go and see Tammy this weekend, but ended up not going. Spent Saturday getting caught up on laundry and then went to the German Fest for dinner and some Ooompa music. Sunday we went to Sam's No 3 for breakfast again, then drove out to the house. We have been given a signing date of Sept 30th! WOOHOO!

J/Lin......I'm "glowing" because I'm tipsy in the pic! But I think you knew that from FB ;-)

    Have a great day Ladies!

    ReplyDelete
  138. BARB IN WA - No pics of that....dang ;)

    ReplyDelete
  139. BARB IN WA - P.s. Congrats on the signing date! It will be here before you know it!!!

  140. Our thermostat's battery died about 3 weeks ago. I replaced the batteries and nothing. The whole system wouldn't work. The heat wasn't too bad, so I kind of stalled on calling our repair guy. After work today I called. It was over 80 degrees in the house. Thankfully it was an easy fix. He replaced the thermostat (the connections were bad) and also topped off the coolant. Yay!!! I will sleep well tonight!

  143. Hello HOoters.

I am still among the living, but not totally well yet. However, it is getting better every day. Thanks so much for all the good wishes.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Awe Barb, so sorry you are still feeling poopy! You scared me when you wrote about how tired you have been! Please take good care of yourself!

Hodi,Pimpalla, feeling "poopy" too? Good luck to Jake and his team!

Barb in WA, I know you are getting excited about your new home!! I am loving all the pics you show on FB, especially the new furniture and pillows :)

JL, you are sweet to volunteer to help Barb.
I am thinking we should put her on skyp or 24 hr vid, like the Kardashions reality! Then we could all keep an eye on her! I think I will look into getting a few cameras in her house, even the bathroom (don't want her falling down and not be able to get up!).
I'll get right on it lol!!!

Dianne, did you miss me at lunch :(

    ReplyDelete
  145. We missed all of you at lunch. We especially missed you Mary because we were hoping you would pick up the bill lol. It would have been nice to have some help to get Barb off that table too when I got there. She's certainly not shy!!

Barb, I'm glad you're feeling a little better. It's scary being that sick and for that long. I think the idea of Mary putting the cameras in your house is a great idea. We could watch you every second. I'll bet you would love it.

Jodi, glad you have air again and that it wasn't too expensive. How many did you have in your class? How many at the reunion? Mine will be the 50th in a couple of weeks so I'm curious to see the turnout. We only had 200

JL, you're so sweet. Next time I'm sick I ant you to come here. Actually, do I have to be sick. Can you just come and whip up a few meals and visit?

Barb in Wa,..I'm glad you finally got a signing date. Very exciting. What did you have to eat at SAMs this time? Maybe you can go see Tammy next weekend.

Mary, how's your neighbor? What are you up to this week? Lots of fun things planned?

I went to a submarine regatta Saturday with Louis. He's now into remote control subs and bought a huge one to play with somewhere. He went to this little convention and looked at subs and he talked to other dub guys for four hours. It was up in the mountains and we went to dinner. I sat in the ski lodge and worked on a new phone book and actually finished it and people watched. I can entertain myself easily.

  147. Mary, you would not like watching me 24/7. The most exciting thing I have been doing is sleeping. I suppose you could watch me snore, that would be exciting! Every time I am in the shower, I pray that nothing happens to me and if it's my time to go, please let me finish my shower and get dressed. I would hate anyone to find me nekked.

    ReplyDelete
  148. MARY - Will be taking the Pimpala in later this week to get the window fixed. Until then my "quick fix" is working like a champ! Jake did really well on Saturday! He was on a novice (less than 2 years experience) team and pulled anchor for the first time. They placed 2nd!! He had never anchored before, but he totally did a great job!!

    ReplyDelete
  149. BARB - Glad you're still among the living! One day at a time lady ♥

    ReplyDelete
  150. DIANNE - We had just over 220 in our class. I would guess that there were under 30 classmates there. Have fun at your reunion! Wow...50 years!!!

    ReplyDelete
  151. DIANNE - Just a fun fact. You graduated the same year my parents got married!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Barb So glad you are starting to feel better. My life is about as exciting as yours and I'm not even sick!

    ReplyDelete
  153. Dianne Next year will be my 50th class reunion, too. I doubt that I will go to it. There are very few people that I would care to see again and those that I would, I am already in contact with. I guess I'm kind of anti-social.

    ReplyDelete
  154. HOdi Congrats to Jake on doing such a good job.

I hope the mechanic can fix your window without too much muss or fuss or $$$.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Barbara in WA I don't enjoy shopping but I sure am enjoying the shopping you've been sharing with us. It must be fun to start fresh with a new house.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Mary That was a great idea about rigging Barb's house with cameras. LOL

  157. Dianne2 My daughter and I just booked a 4 day get-away cruise on Princess. We've both been on that cruise line many times before and had great times so hopefully we will not get a lemon like you did last time. Anyway, it's in October and we have a mini-suite for only $369/ea. It goes out of Southern California and just goes to Catalina and Ensenada. We've never been to either of those places. Odd that I grew up in California and never made it to Catalina. Anyway, we're flying down to Long Beach a day before the cruise and staying at a hotel that night. The hotel peeps will provide us with free transport between airport, hotel, and ship both before and after the cruise.

    ReplyDelete
  158. JL, how fun...a cruise. You are so lucky that you live so close to the water to hop on a ship. It sounds like fun. Great price too. I've been to Catalina a couple of times but not for a long time. I want to go...sniff I'm already ready for another vacation and I just got back. Louis says I want to be on the go too much.

Jodi, now you have made me feel really old. I know I'm old enough to be your mom but I try to pretend we are the same age. That was a small turn out for a reunion. I wonder why?

JL, have you been to any of your reunions?

    Barb, how's that cough today?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Dianne Yes, I've been to 3 of my class reunions.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Good Morning everyone!

Dianne.....Ya know, if you keep it up with telling people I dance on top of the tables, one of these days you're gonna show up for lunch and I WILL be on top of the table! Oh....At Sam's I had a breakfast burrito. Way to big. Only ate half.

J/Lin....I am having fun with the shopping too :-) I still need to get a floor lamp, one nightstand, and 2 guest room lamps. When I changed out the pillows in the guest room, the lamps in there no longer go with the decor. So I will probably pick up a couple lamps at IKEA. They had some cute ones. When you are ready to get your furniture, let me know and I'll help! LOL! Have fun on your cruise. We did a 3 day cruise for Robert's work several years ago, and there was a stop in Ensanada. We made some purchases. Just a few small things. If we didn't give them exact change, if there was a coin change that we were due back, say $3.05, they would give us the $3.00 but the .05 cents would come back in the form of a pack of Chiclets. If we were due .20 cents, we would be given 4 packs of gum. Robert would just shake his head and walk out. It was crazy. Not sure if they still do that, but most likely they do. There were also several small kids running around selling hand made necklaces and bracelets. We bought from several of the kids because I'm a sucker for them.

Jodi....Hope you had a great time at the reunion! Mine was pretty fun. There were probably 150 or so. We had a pretty good sized group photo, and then all the guests.

Barb.....Hope you are feeling better today :-(

Mary....Get out here and pay for lunch! I promise, Dianne and I are cheap dates :-)

I need to pack some more and make some calls about RV storage. We moved the trailer 2 months ago to a spot closer to the house, and we just got word from them that the city of Golden won't let them store RV's on their lot. Only semi trailers that move frequently. So now we have to look for some place else. Blah....

Hope everyone has a great day!

    ReplyDelete
  161. Barbara in WA That's a bummer about needing to find another place to keep the RV. Hope you find something soon and that it isn't too pricey.

My daughter and I both enjoy the cruising experience so it's nice to have someone who can go with me once in a while now that my husband is deceased. Oh, and we like the casinos. LOL That's why they make that Ensenada stop. As long as the cruise includes one out of country port, they can keep the casino open during the entire cruise except for when they are actually docked at a port.

  162. Yesterday I bought two new bras but I didn't try them on at the store as it is a brand and size that I know fits me. Anyway, I tried one on this morning and the strap snapped off! I had to return that one today and of course they didn't have another one just like that and in that color in my size. I will have to check it out on the internet. It was an expensive day, though, because I ended up buying new luggage. I bought a Samsonite set that was on sale 50% off and I had a 15% off coupon so at least it wasn't as expensive as it could have been.

    ReplyDelete
  163. SLIN - Your cruise sounds like fun! I've only flown over your state, too. Too bad about the bra. I hate it when you know something is going to fit and they only have ONE of it! And congrats on the score of the new luggage! Love me a good sale and coupon :)

    ReplyDelete
  164. DIANNE - You can pretend that...I don't mind! I know a few more showed up after we left. After being up early for Jake's pull, I was done at about 10:30!

    ReplyDelete
  165. BARB IN WA - The reunion was fun! I kinda wish we had done a group shot! The only pics I've seen are the few that I took and a couple more. But it was a lovely night by the lake :) Good luck finding storage for the RV. How frustrating! I've enjoyed all the new touches you have found for the house! I especially love the bright colors!

    ReplyDelete
  166. Hi...Not much going on around here. Going up in the mountains for lunch tomorrow with Louis, my brother and SIL. Usually it's a boys lunch so I don't know why we were invited but I'll take a free lunch in the mountains.

JL, sounds like you got a great deal on your luggage. Now you'll have to travel more!! I like the casinos too more on a ship than land for some reason.

Jodi, you need to make a trip to California and Colorado. Just kind of make a circle of the states.

Barb in Wa...that's not fun to have to find a new rv place. You were just telling me what a good place you had the other day.

It sure seemed hot and humid here today. I'm ready for fall and football

    ReplyDelete
  167. Well, I found the bra I was looking for at a different store today so I bought two in different colors. Penney's is having a nice 50% off sale on Egyptian cotton bath towels and there is a color that I really like. I managed to not buy them today as I don't really "need" towels but I received a $15 Reward coupon today so I may end up going back and using it on the towels.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Dianne Enjoy your lunch in the mountains. Smack your brother upside the head for me. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  169. HOdi I got my bras at a different store but now I'm looking for new luggage tags.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Barb How are you feeling today? Check in, please.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Mary Where are you? Sorry about your neighbor. Any more news about possible amputation?

    ReplyDelete
  172. Barbara in WA I saw a throw pillow the other day with a bird on it and thought of you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  173. DIANNE - Have fun at lunch.....pop your brother in the arm for me ;) I would love to make that trip, but I'm saving my pennies for my friend Angie's wedding next summer. She's the gal that is from my hometown who I go visit in Kauai!

    ReplyDelete
  174. SLIN - I love that we had the same idea for Bruce!!! He does love to stir a pot, that one ;) Good luck on the hunt for new luggage tags!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Morning Ladies :-)

Dianne....Have fun in the mountains! Not sure when I will get up there before October. Have too much to do. We were going to go for a drive last weekend, but ended up sticking around here.

J/Lin....Awww...You thought of me! Thanks! LOL!

Jodi....I can't wait to go to Kauai again. Such a beautiful island. Not sure when we will be going back to Hawaii. I may be taking a trip to Costa Rica with my sister next year. She is dragging her feet a bit. I think she is a little scared to take a trip like that without our husbands, even though we would be with a tour group the entire time. I'm sure I will be able to get her to go. I hope!

Everyone else....Hope you had a great day yesterday and an even better one today :-)

I'm off to go to Kohls. We have a function to go to later this afternoon and I want to get a new blouse or something. Tired of wearing the same tops over and over.

Last night on FB, one of the local news channels that I follow posted a picture of a man who supposedly lives in Florida, holding a cat by the scruff and pointing a gun at it. Needless to say, hundred of people were saying horrible things in the comments. "Shoot the guy!" "I want to kill this guy myself!" Now I'm not for what the guy was doing at all. It was a disgusting picture. But people were so violent in the comments. Like it was perfectly OK to kill a guy over a picture. Turns out he took the picture as a joke. Not funny at all, but he posted pictures of his cats on his FB page and said that people need to lighten up, it was a joke. Still, not a funny picture at all. Before I found out it was a joke, I posted in the comments that I thought the picture was horrible and that I delete people from my friends list who continually post graphic photos like that. And I said that I don't like to see that kind of stuff. Some woman jumped all over me and told me to get over myself. My only response to her was "O.o" People hide behind their computers and are so cruel to others. I don't get it. When did we as a society become so violent and mean? I for one am tired of being given the sharp end of the stick. Last month I almost deleted my FB account. Was very close to it. Then I thought maybe I would just start a new account with just family and use that one to post my pictures and life updates. But then I couldn't decide which of my friends I would add to that account, and then it just got too much again. So I still have just the old account. But with less people. I still have someone on there that after I post a picture of something I have bought for the house, or if I post that I just did something fun, they will post a meme or make a statement about "Money can't buy happiness" or something similar. I ignore the digs, but it hurts. I'm at a good point in my life, and I'm away from my family & friends. So sharing on FB is my way of letting them know what is going on in our lives. Do any of you have people who continually pick at you? I don't know what to do anymore. I'm just tired of the crap.

    **sigh**

    Thanks for letting me vent.

    ReplyDelete
  176. HOdi Oooh, saving for Kauai! That will be fun!

    ReplyDelete
  177. Barbara in WA, now CO I don't have any "friends" who pick on me like that but I rarely post anything personal on there. I guess I'm just not good at sharing. Apparently, one of your "friends" is very jealous of you. Sad, isn't it, that they feel the need to pick like that.

    ReplyDelete
  178. BARB IN CO *there, it's official*! SMH at your situation. Let me tell u, before our last trip to Hawaii, I ended up deleting my brother because he constantly was judging me and thought I only posted pics of us to portray a "happy family". After the first time I went to Hawaii, he couldn't even be happy for me. His question? What is the social/economic background of the people I went with. Who the f*ck asks a question like that?!!? (Answer: his controlling 2nd wife....she has big freakin' balls!!!) And as far as me posting pics of us, it's because I love my brother and wanted to preserve a memory. Period!!! As far as the people that "pick"....block or delete them. Not worth the hurt feelings and bringing you down. You are an awesome person and they definitely are showing signs of the green eyed monster.

Have a beautiful weekend my friend ♥

  179. Thanks for the words of encouragement J/Lin and Jodi. You guys are the best, and I missed the daily interaction with everyone. Being in CO, I'm away from all my friends and family. Thank God I have the lovely Miss Dianne to meet for lunch once in a while! I seriously have her and Robert here. And my kitty. I'm not really complaining, I'm good on my own, but sometimes I do get dang lonely. That's why I end up on FB so much. It makes me feel like my friends and family are right in the room with me. It's hard to call people during the day because they all work. And then when Robert comes home, I just want to be with him. So the days can get kinda long.
    OK...enough of the whining.
Back to my cheerful self :-)

  180. Jodi....Its hard when its family doing that. One of my sisters can be that way, but we think it comes from her boyfriend. We wont refer to him as her husband until he actually marries her. And then we still wont refer to him at all :-) I'm always happy for people when they get to go off and do something fun. People save and save for a great trip, and then the ugly green monster comes out from some who just cant stand it that other people have a life.

  181. Hey HOoters. How's everyone?

I am doing better but my energy level is still low. I have had pneumonia once before and it didn't take me this long to recover. I guess age has taken it's toll.

  182. Barb in CO, Life is too short to put up with negative people and people who can't accept another's good fortune. I agree with J/L, they are probably jealous.

  183. J/L, Thanks so much for the card and checking on me so much. I'm trying to get some things done around the house, but it's going very slowly 'cause I run out of steam fast! I hate that!

  184. Dianne, How was your lunch in the mountains? Did Bruce pay?

  185. Jodi, How fun to have a friend in Kauai that you can visit, not that anyone needs an excuse to go to Hawaii. Kauai is my fave island.

  186. Barb I don't think it's age so much. You had just been sick right before that, then traveled to San Diego when you probably weren't 100%. You got sick soon thereafter as I think your resistance was still down. Last summer, my friends, John and Jane, went back to NY to visit relatives and John got sick near the end of the trip. It took him months to get over it so some of these things can really hang on. I'm not saying it will take months for you to be all better but telling you to not push it and when you're tired, REST! Your body is telling you what it needs.

  187. HOdi I'm so sorry about how things are between you and your brother but you tried and reached out to him on many occasions. You know the Serenity Prayer, right? Some things you just cannot change.

  188. BARB IN COviaWA - I get done at noon most days, so if you ever want to chat, I'm here!!!

  189. BARB - Kauai is definitely my favorite island. A little more laid back than Oahu. Although I am torn...with so many friends that live on Oahu :) Glad you are slowly getting better. Listen to your body. It will let you know what you can and can't do ♥

  190. Barbara in CO via WA You may want to cut that person loose that wants to keep raining on your parade. It's nice that you have so many friends back in WA. At least you can go back and visit on occasion. You'll make new friends in your new town, too.

  191. SLIN - I'm very familiar with that prayer, and you're right. I just keep sending him love. Whether he accepts it or not is his choice.
