man wonders if
having sex on the
Sabbath is a sin because he is not sure if sex is work or play. So he goes
to a Priest and asks for his opinion on this question.
After consulting the Bible, the Priest says, 'My son, after an exhaustive search, I am positive that sex is work and is therefore not permitted on Sundays.'
The man thinks: 'What does a priest know about sex?' So he goes to a Minister, who after all is a married man and experienced in this matter. He queries the Minister and receives the same reply. Sex is work and therefore not for the Sabbath!

Not pleased with
the reply, he seeks out the ultimate authority: a man of thousands
of years tradition and knowledge.
In other words, he goes to a Rabbi. The Rabbi ponders the question, then states, 'My son, sex is definitely play..'

The man replies,
'Rabbi, how can you be so sure when so many others tell me sex is
work?'
The Rabbi softly speaks, 'If sex were work, my wife would have the maid do it.'

DIANNE - Play on!!!
ReplyDeleteI made it to the funeral on time. It was a beautiful service. Very fitting for a dear lady.
ReplyDeleteI've been on the fence for some time about getting a newer car. It will probably happen sooner than I wanted.
Have a beautiful Sunday HOoters!!
ReplyDeleteUgg...car troubles. Hate them as we all do. Time for you to get a nice little sports car!! Hope you made it to the funeral in time. Nothing like a little stress, huh?
ReplyDeleteWorked on cleaning the top of my desk and was successful. Did lots of filing. I'd like to get a wooden file cabinet and chair in there. I have a futon now that the girls used to sleep on but they are too big for it now. It's really a small room so I'll be glad to get that out. I'm a shopping fool!!
Going to the movie again tomorrow with my movie buddy Barb that I brought to the Hofest.
Only about a week and then Louis is off for the summer. He's counting the days. It's his first summer off ever!!!
Barb, how are you doing? You are probably counting the days too nail you are pain free! I. Glad your son is coming to stay. He's a good son. You raised him right !!
JL, hope you are having fun on you weekend trip. You behaving or do we need the bail money out? We ha e to get it from Shirley...I think she was in charge of it.
We went to dinner with my brother to a little home cooing place. I had a turkey dinner. It sure tasted good without it being a holiday. My SIL and I split apiece of pineapple coconut cream pie. It as just the right amount. That pineapple in it was really good.
Well, that's my day. Oh yes, got some new shoes too. That's not too exciting since I have walking issues the shoes are expensive and not very cute...oh well.
Night all ...
Ps the ,movie was really good
DIANNE - What movie did you see?
ReplyDeleteDianne, what movie did you see? With my back so out of whack I haven't been to a movie in a long time.
ReplyDeleteJodi, I've been thinking about getting a new car, too. I want to get one that gets 1,000 miles an hour like on that Jay Leno commercial! LOL
ReplyDeleteJ/L, You are probably on your way home now. I'll be watching DWTS in case you get home in time for that. I loved the pic you posted of your view. I could live there and look at the view everyday. It looked so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteBARB - I'd love to get a little better gas mileage without going really tiny. Kinda thinking about a Malibu.
ReplyDeleteHeading out soon to have dinner with Angie and her family. She is flying back home on Wednesday. It's a beautiful day here, so I'm hoping that we can eat on the patio of the restaurant we are going to.
ReplyDeleteHi....I went to see The Age Of Adeline with Blake Lively and Harrison Ford. It was such a good movie. Barb and I loved it. Another one I'd recommend. It just came out on the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI want a new car but mine is only two years old. We lease so it's not time for a couple of years. I want the same kind I just want a red one!! Guess I need to be happy with all my new appliances.
Jodi, hope you had a nice dinner with Angie . It's been raining here for three days so glad you are happy nice weather. I'm just happy it's not snowing. We had a blizzard last year on Mothers Day.
Not much going on...went to lunch and had my nails done. I'm trying to plan out nails and hair so it works out for my cruise. Ahh, such issues!! Lol
Barb, are you getting any relief? I feel so bad for you. Are you passing on being an usher this summer? We went to see Motown a couple of weeks ago. Is that out there yet? It was really great with all that old music.

ReplyDeleteHi, Hooters! Well, here I am back safe and sound from my little trip to Oregon. It was a nice time hanging out with a couple of friends. It's about an 8 hour drive from here and a beautiful one at that. My dog sitter had brought the dog home in the afternoon so she was here to greet me when I got home.
ReplyDeleteDianne When I was in Oregon, we went to see the movie "Woman in Gold". It was very good. Have you seen it? I bet your ring turns out beautifully. How long until it will be done?
ReplyDeleteHOdi I'm sorry about your car. I'm glad you made it to the funeral okay. Nothing like adding extra stress to an already stressful situation. Poor Jake is probably getting tired of his situation with his foot. Maybe there will be a cancellation and he can get in earlier. I'll keep fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteSacBarb I'm sooo glad your son will be able to be there for you during your recovery. These adult kids are coming in handy, aren't they? Maybe I should have had more. LOL
ReplyDeleteI was disappointed with DWTS last night. Maybe they shouldn't let the audience vote. There's no way Willow should have gotten the boot before Chris or Noah or Robert, in my opinion.
Mary Waving a wing at you. My daughter will be in Vegas in early June for business. I might meet her down there and spend a couple of days. Too bad I don't have your luck at the one-armed bandits like you do. I still keep trying, though. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks SLIN - Cross your boobies, too....couldn't hurt ;)
ReplyDeleteGood morning HOoters!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you all doing today?
I work at 11 am (Wednesday is my "late day"). Tim and I went out for breakfast before I had to take him to school. I'm sipping coffee and working on some laundry. I'm really enjoying having one morning a week where I can kinda take my time.
J/L, I agree about DWTS. That young lady was better than those you mentioned. Noah is doing well considering his limitations, but if they are truly judging on a competitive scale rather than a sympathy vote, Willow is much better.
ReplyDeleteJodi, how nice that you get to have some Jodi time each week.
ReplyDeleteDianne, I want to see that movie. I've seen Blake Lively on a couple talk shows and she is very funny. She's married to Ryan Reynolds and she told some funny stories about him.
ReplyDeleteMary, how was the ride home from LV?
ReplyDeleteBARB - Thanks....just me, my coffee and laundry. lol!!
ReplyDeleteBARB - Thanks....just me, my coffee and laundry. lol!!
ReplyDeleteHa!!! I guess I REALLY enjoy my coffee and laundry ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a good day HOoters! Time to hoist and rinse :)
