THESE ARE ACTUAL COMPLAINTS RECEIVED BY "THOMAS COOK VACATIONS" FROM DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS:
1. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."
1. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."
2.
"It's
lazy of the local shopkeepers in Puerto Vallarta to close in the
afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time -- this
should be banned."
3. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food."
4. "We booked an excursion to a water park
but no-one told us we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it would be included in the price."
5. "The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room."
6. "We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more
yellow."
7. "They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax."
8. "No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared."
9. "Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers."
10. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish."
11.
"The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read the local guide
book during the bus ride to the resort. Because of this, we were unaware
of many things that would have made our holiday more fun."
12.
"It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the
Americans only three hours to get home. This seems unfair."
13. "I compared the size of our one-bedroom suite to our friends' three-bedroom and ours was significantly smaller."
14.
"The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the resort.' We're trainee
hairdressers and we think they knew and made us wait longer for
service."
15.
"When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The
receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that
there would be so many foreigners."
16. "We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was no air-conditioning."
17. "It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel."
18. "I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes."
19.
"My fiancée and I requested twin-beds when we booked, but instead we
were placed in a room with a king bed. We now hold you
responsible and want to be re-reimbursed for the fact that I became
pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room
that we booked."

Dianne Thanks for the morning chuckle.
I can't believe those are real! But the are funny. Thanks.
DIANNE - I would NEVER complain that a beach is too sandy. Bwahahaha!!!
Thank God it's Friday! Even though I had a couple of short days, today is my 7th day in a row. Not sure what we are doing for Mother's Day, but probably something with my MIL.
Have a beautiful weekend HOoters ♥
Hi...still raining here. I'm about over it. Dun peeks in and out.
People sure complain don't they ...about the sand. Funny.
JL. Your meals sound great. Tomorrow is my half bday and each year I try to convince Louis it's a day for celebration and presents. I never convince him!!
Boy Jodi, I imagine you are pooped. Glad you have the weekend off.
Hi barb and Mary.
DIANNE - I say go ahead and find a little something at Coach! I can forward a 30% off coupon if you like.
HOdi I bet Dianne's eyes about popped out of her head when she saw you offering a 30% off coupon for Coach. LOL
Thanks again for the birthday song!
Dianne Another friend took me out to dinner last night. I ended up having bbq ribs and brought half of the rack home for dinner tonight. It's the gift that keeps on giving. After all these special birthday meals, it will be a while before I get on the scale.
Happy Half-birthday!
Barb Waving a wing at you. Can you see me? So far, it's a beautiful day here today.
J/L, It was a beautiful ay here, too, but I only saw it through the window. Yesterday it rained for about two hours but everything is still very dry!
Dianne, Happy half birthday. Hire yourself a male stripper! :)
Jodi, Relax for the weekend and enjoy Mother's Day.
Good morning HOoters!
BARB - I slept in this morning. I just painted my nails and will be going out in a bit to get a few things for the Going Away party tonight for my asst store leader.
I just remembered that today is Paul's Sobriety Anniversary. 9 years!!! I'm so proud of my hubby ♥
SLIN - Her eyes evidently didn't see my offer. She hasn't responded yet.
Barb So far today, it is overcast, cool and gloomy. I hope it burns off this afternoon. It reminds me of when I was a teenager in southern California. They didn't have all the freeways that they have now and it used to take us a long time to drive to the beach and sometimes when we got there we would find it to be cold and grey. It was so disappointing. You had to be careful, though, as you could still get sunburned through the clouds.
HOdi Yay for sleeping in! That's one of my favorite things. I'm glad you got a chance to do it. You get up so early normally that I have a feeling your idea of sleeping in is my idea of getting up early. LOL
Mary Where are you? My daughter is going to Vegas in early June on business for two days. She's decided to extend her stay for a couple of days and I'm going to meet her there. Woo hoo! Send me some of your good gambling juju, please.
Dianne Maybe I should wear those tassels you sent me when I am in Vegas. I'd fit right in, right?
Barb2 I was just looking at Area 51 to see if Mary was there and saw your late night posts. Thanks for the invite but I wouldn't want to horn in on your time with your son. Anyway, between my birthday and Mother's Day, I've gotten an abundance of gifts and flowers. Besides the flowers that came from my son, more flowers arrived from my daughter yesterday. I will post a pic when more of the buds have opened.
SLIN - I'm afraid that's probably right. I slept in til 6!!
Just getting back from lunch and shopping with Tim. He treated me to lunch and I scored big time on supplies for the going away party at the dollar store!!
Hello all....Jodi, thanks for the coupon. Unfortunately, it expires tomorrow and I can't get there. Maybe I should just go online. I even have a gift certificate. So you slept in until 6!!! JL is right...we call that crack of dawn. Glad you had a good lunch with your son. Big high five to Paul.
JL, you are celebrating a lot. You're my kind of gal. My half of bday was uneventful. Louis did remember to mention it. Glad you have another fun get away.
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms. We are having a blizzard tonight so no bbqs around here tomorrow. Tammy changed hers to a taco bar. We are supposed to have 10" by morning. It is a very heavy wet snow. Trees are breaking and roads are flooding. It poured all day. I think I'm ready for Spring.
I had all my new appliances arrive today. Our house looks like a different place. Now I have to read manuals to see how things work.
Barb, have a great day with your son tomorrow. Dinner for two sounds really nice and you don't have to cook.
Mary, you are MIA again. What are you up too?
Louis is bringing in the suitcases tomorrow as I need to start packing for Friday. Wish it was all packed.
Again, a Happy Mothers Day.
