There are only ten times in history where
the"F" word has been considered

-- Mayor Of Hiroshima , 1945

8. "Where did all those @#$%ing Indians come from?"

-- Custer, 1877

7. "Any @#$%ing idiot
could understand that."

-- Einstein, 1938

-- Picasso, 1926

5. "How the @#$%
did you work that out?"

-- Pythagoras, 126 BC

on the @#$%ing ceiling?”

-- Michelangelo, 1566

3. "Where the @#$% are we?"

-- Amelia Earhart, 1937

-- Noah, 4314 BC

  1. Dianne Thanks for the funnies today. Are you all the way packed? When do you leave?

  2. Is everyone else as lazy as I am today. I think having to set my alarm 3 days in a row really got to me. LOL

  3. J/L, you are not the only one. I had plans to put some stuff away today, but it still sits where it has been for a week. Maybe tomorrow! 😏

  4. Barb I'm sitting here promising myself to get moving tomorrow. I have just been a lump today. No energy for anything. Oh, I did go down in the backyard and pick up after the dog and then play fetch with her. That was the big activity of the day. Otherwise, reading and playing on the computer. That's about it.

  5. Last night before heading off to bed I was petting the dog and felt a small lump on her side right behind her front leg. Yep, it was a tic. It wasn't very engorged so I'm sure she picked it up here in my own yard. I get a lot of squirrels, we have a neighborhood skunk, and I hear raccoons going over the side gate at night before I fall asleep. I removed the tic with no problem; grasp firmly near the head and pull out slowly and steadily. It let go and then got flushed down the toilet. I'm glad I found it before bed because she sleeps on my bed at night. I have her a good once over and there were no more tics.

  6. The trouble with getting up early is that I eat breakfast and then am hungry for lunch when lunchtime comes around. I did take the dog for a walk around the neighborhood. My crappy hip wasn't too happy about that but the rest of me was and the dog always enjoys catching up on the neighborhood smells.

  7. J/L, I got a chuckle out of Ursula enjoying sniffing the neighborhood. Our cocker spaniel loved doing that, too. We would take him for walks on the levee and there was so much to smell there, depending on the time of year. Lots of flora and fauna. What luck that you found that tic before it got imbedded. I remember when you told us about the one that got on you. I hope I never have that experience!

  8. Where are the others? Are we missing out on some fun activity? I hope it wasn't something I said!

  9. I think Dianne is on her road trip. I don't know what Mary is up to.

Tics don't really get embedded exactly. Sometimes the area of skin around where the tic has bitten can get a bit swollen and it's then hard to see the tiny head. Pulling out steadily and slowly makes the tic let go. It doesn't really want to have it's head ripped off so it lets go instead. Yanking or twisting is likely to tear the body away from the head.

  10. Hi....here I am in Columbia, Mo, for the night. Last night was Hays, KS. It's darn hot here. The air conditioner is acting a little weird in the car too....not good news. I went to a cute store in Kansas with s lot of Wizard of Oz things. My office at home is kind of a WOZ room. They had some really cute things. We went by a military school in Kansas that my uncle went to as a child and wanted some pictures ...that took about an hour. It seems like long driving days but we are going about 400 miles a day...plenty for me.

Wow JL, glad that tic didn't get on you. I remember once when we were kids my brother got one in his pee pee area. He was about three and my mom had to burn a match to get it out. Shhh, that's a secret. Ouch!!'

Wonder what Jodi is up to do? I see her pictures on Fb. I can't post too much as I'm afraid robbers will go to my house!!

    Well, time for dinner.

  11. Dianne Here I am up early again. Boo. The handyman should be finishing up this project today. Yay. So, how much cute Wizard of Oz stuff did you buy? It sounds like you really liked that shop. I agree that 400 miles is plenty to travel in one day, especially when the trip takes more than one day.

  12. Helloooooo!!

I had a late morning Chiro appt. I was a little late due to ^&%*$@# stuff!!
I went out to the road to get our daily paper,, which I like to read first thing each day, you know, to see if I made the obits. lol! Anyway for the umpteenth time the carrier didn't put the paper all the way into the paper thingy and the cars flying by spread them into the ditch and wheat field! I was so *(^%#@ mad! I called circulation AGAIN,and vented, after being on hold for 15 minutes! I left my cereal on the table, grabbed my keys and headed out! After the Chiro I decided I needed to head to the Casino since it was 45 miles out of my way lol! I stopped and treated myself to breakfast and gambled a bit and came home to find my sweet Zoie gagging all over the place and looking awful! I was about to call the Vet when she seemed to perk up a bit. It was hot today and Jim took her for a walk. She may have gotten too hot. Jim has a bad habit of pulling on her collar to make her go where he wants her to go. That and maybe she was a little over excited at having me home lol!
I made a big Mex. meal & cleaned the kitchen. Now I can relax a bit.

  13. Mary, maybe Zoie ate your cereal!!! I think the blog helped you with words today. When it was posted, I was laughing at them not realizing I sent it in one day. I had already forgotten how funny some of them were there. Did you win any $$. I think we might go on a boat in the Ohio River to gamble when we are visiting Louis's daughters on the weekend. I get to have lunch with Beverly on Friday!!

We are in Nashville tonight. It felt like we were driving into Disneyland with things on every corner. We are right down the street from Dukes of Hazard museum. We went to a good steak place tonight. Louis had the bbq shrimp with hush puppies. I wish I would have planned an extra day or two here. The drive was so pretty every state except not Ksnsas so much. It's just so green and all the trees!!

We woke up in Missouri this morning, had lunch in Illinois, drove through Kentucky and now we are here all in a day. We've gone 1200 miles so far. Louis and I have been splitting the driving and the kind of music we listen too. So far so good!!

  14. Mary I know how annoying the newspaper situation can be. I ended up cancelling mine because I was so sick of the problems. You can get your dog a harness so Jim won't be pulling on her neck when he wants her to go in a certain direction.

  15. Dianne I think I would like to visit Nashville, mostly for the restaurants. Certainly not for the music. ;)

  16. JL..it is really nice here. Looks like I could spend a good week. Food is yummy. Had carrot cake with coconut and pineapple with Carmel drizzle and warm with ice cream for lunch. My tummy is very full and I didn't even eat it all. Louis got jack Daniels pecan pie to go. We went to a place Barbsra told me about when she was here a few weeks ago. Weather is warm but not awful. I'm dealing with it plus some breeze. Tonight is grand old opry. It looks so cool when we drive by it. Can't wait.

  18. My handyman finished up with the project today. So glad I will not have to set my alarm for tomorrow morning. Anyway, I paid him almost entirely in cash but I did need to write him a check for a part of his fee. I found out his last name is Ratuniwailevu. Yikes! He's from Fiji.
