~ Warning!!! Scam Alert!! ~

Be on the lookout for these two guys! They are hanging out around the Wal-Mart parking lots. When you are putting your groceries away they ask you for a ride to McDonald's. They are very convincing and very hot! Once in your car one takes his clothes off and starts climbing all over you. While he keeps you busy, the other one takes your purse. I've had mine taken on the 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th and twice yesterday. Probably will happen again two more times tomorrow. Wal-Mart has purses for $9.99, but I found some at the dollar store for .99¢ so I bought all they had. These two guys not only take your purse, but you never even make it to McDonald's so I've already lost 11lbs. Keep a lookout for them (I find lunch time and around 5:30 the best times.)

  1. Ha! Now if that would only work. That would be a pleasant way to diet.

  3. Yesterday was a busy and productive day! I found a dress for the wedding at Kohl's. It's a Vera Wang. Black with v neck in the front and back with pretty white and bluish purple flowers. And it's short. Good grief all the maxi dresses i found looked like i was dragging a train behind me. I also found a couple new tankini tops at Wallyworld. Score!!! I watched the Scouts online last night at Shari's condo. While we were watching the competition, I found a hotel for us to stay in for next weekend. It's only 10 minutes to where the boys will be rehearsing and a 30 minute drive to Lucas Oil Stadium where they will be competing on Friday and Saturday night! Score #2! I also found a hotel for Paul and I to stay in Waikiki. With Sue's continued heart problems, we decided to get our own place. It's only a block to the pier in Waikiki and walking distance to Sunway's gig on Thursday night! I hit an awesome deal. Better than if Sue had made the reservation and had used the "local" rate. Can I just say I love Hotels.com? Score #3!!!

  4. Wow Jodi, you're on a roll. Better buy some lotto tickets!!! Glad you found hotels for both your Events. Tell me again the date you leave for Hawaii? I want to go on another trip....anywhere. I'm sure not a home body person.

Barb, hope you're doing better. Miss seeing any updates on you. Maybe I'm just missing them.

JL. I'm here. What did you do over the weekend? I went to see the movie Vacation today. It was predictable but still funny. Only five of us in theater. A young guy came in with a backpack in front of us and I have to say it made me a little nervous. The management came and talked to him twice during the movie. I don't know what that was about.

Mary, you have not been on here forever. Everything ok?

  5. DIANNE - We leave on the 18th. We are spending 3 nights on Oahu, and fly to Kauai on the 21st. The wedding is on the 22nd, and we leave late on the 24th to come home. We land in Chicago on the 25th. Whew!!!

  7. Last night I went online and ordered the dress I got in a size smaller and a slightly lighter color palette. I love the dress I got, but it just seems a bit "sloppy". I wanted to try on a smaller size, but none of the Madison or Janesville stores had a large in stock. With free shipping, I thought it couldn't hurt. I also took advantage of the friends and family 20 % off and earned another $20 in Kohl's cash!! They also had a pair of white thongs that would look great with the dress. They are made my Birkenstock and will look great with my dress!

  8. HOdi It sounds like everything is falling into place for you in preparation for your upcoming trip. Don't you just love when things come together like that? Shopping online is so handy when you know the size you're looking for. Did you get your tickets yet for the flight from Oahu to Kauai?

  9. Dianne I would have been nervous about that guy in the theater, too, what with all that's been happening lately. So many wackos out there that get bad ideas in their head. I am not particularly a fan of Tom Cruise but the new Mission Impossible movie looks good. He always gives it 100% and the reviews are very good for it.

Mostly, I did nothing this weekend. Saturday was a nice day and I just kind of puttered around the house, had lunch out, and ran a few errands. Sunday was a waste as I woke up with a painful back that seemed to be threatening to seriously go out on me at any minute so I did very little. Once my back went out so bad that my husband had to help me put on my underwear. I do not want that to happen again! I had been very good with eating lots of salads lately but last night I was bad and ordered a pizza. I'm sure I will pay for it if I get on the scale today.

  10. JL, good thing you took it is on your back Sunday. You don't want strangers coming in to put your underwear on. I'd have to make a caretaker visit. Are you better today? I had pizza fir lunch today too. It did come with a salad..does that count?

Jodi, sounds like you are going to have a great time. Glad you found the dress online. It will give you a choice between them just to be sure. The 18th is just around the corner....better get suspender guy out in the sun again. I shop online a lot. I hate to mail back but sometimes you just have to pack things up. I like my one store because I can return to the store I'm lazy to do that even sometimes.

I hate that we can't go to the movie without being scared. Crazy world.

  11. Drooling here! I need to go purse shopping lol!

Jodi, how cool is that to get all those deals!! I envy your going to Hawaii! I love it there, but mostly want to check in on Sue! You will have to do that for us!

Jim & I will be going to Vegas next month. It's the only place he will fly, so off we go lol!!
We had a pretty bad storm come through Mich. last night. luckily we only got the wind and rain in our area. Up north of us there was a lot of damage with tennis size hail! Some people were caught on the sand dunes near Lake Michigan and were pelted by sand. I guess it was a painful experience!

Dianne, that back pack guy would have freaked me out too! Crazy times eh?
I will try to check in more often you sweet little nagger :)
    Later........

JL, sorry about your back. Jim would be so bad at dressing me!! I am sure things would be inside out, cockeyed and backwards lol!!!

    Dianne

  14. Booked our inter island flights! All I have to do is book our car rentals. Thankfully I can get a corporate discount through Kwik Trip!

  15. SLIN - I don't know what my problem is lately. Have an awesome trip coming up, and all I want to do is eat!! Starting today....salads, water, walking. STAT!!! I also have to work on my tan!

  16. MARY - I will be giving Sue plenty of love from all of us!

  18. Dianne My back is still touchy today. I thought I was doing okay yesterday so did some things around the house that required a lot of bending over. Now this morning my back is letting me know about it. This getting old sucks! I know it would be better if I lost a significant amount of weight.

  19. HOdi All you want to do is eat? That sounds like me on a normal day. LOL I've been eating more salads than usual lately. That's probably due to the warmer weather we've been having. This will be Paul's first time to Hawaii, right? Fun!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Mary There you are! We've been missing you. You've been getting some crazy weather this year. I'm glad you got through it all okay. What do you like to play when you're in Vegas? Will you see any shows? The Absinthe show at Caesar's was very good and very unusual. You enter the tent through a phone booth. Ha! Not for delicate ears....a lot of R rated language.

    ReplyDelete
  21. SLIN - Yes, Paul is a Hawaiian virgin. Lol!! I just reserved our car rentals. Ended up going thru carrentals.com (connected with Expedia). Cheaper than both using the corporate discount with Enterprise and hotwire.com!

  22. JL, I am not big on all the newest fancy dancy cartoonie slot machines. I stick
to the videopoker and older machines if I can find them! I also play the table game of "Let It Ride" my fave.!!

I went to my oldest sons home today to take him his Birthday gifts. He turned 49 yesterday.
I made at least 7 stops today mostly shopping. I like Wallys fresh French bread, Meyers, coupons,my fave. fresh veg and meat market, patio chairs for son at Menards, gas station for lottery tickets, and a lemonade stand for a sweet little girl raising money for our local Animal shelter, then drove 30 miles to drop off B-day gift, made supper, walked dog cleaned kitchen and that's about it! I hope tomorrow is a bit more relaxing lol!

  23. HOdi You will have a lot to show Paul in Hawaii. Good job on finding a deal for your car rentals. I recently went online and ordered my 2016 wall calendar and my Christmas cards. They arrived today. They were all on sale and I'm very happy with them. I should start addressing the cards now. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary I've never heard of Let It Ride. I've never played any kind of table came at a casino.

  25. Wow JL, you are ahead of me on Christmas. I have a couple of gifts bought but don't order cards until September ...BUT...I bought my Christmas card stamps! I was ordering some online and they had them out already so I bought them. I think that makes us close to even on our buying, right? You should start addressing them...boy, would u be ahead!!!

Jodi, glad you have everything all booked now. I guess you are just waiting for the dress and all will be done. Fun times ahead.

Mary, I've never heard of that Vegas table game either. I'm not crazy about the new slots. I have a couple of stand by ones. I like one called Hot Shots. I play slots on my iPad for hours here. I lose then too.

Jodi, I'm glad you feel loved when I nag....could you tell Louis that too? I don't think he feels the same way. Lol

  26. MARY - You never cease to amaze me! I hope I have half your energy when I'm your age. BTW, your son just caught up with me. Happy 49th to your boy!

  27. SLIN - Wow! You are ahead of the game. Hopefully we can get a nice pic of Paul and me for our card on our trip!

  28. DIANNE - I'd gladly tell Louis, if you tell Paul. Lol!!
