A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A pretty, young, student nurse appears to give him a partial sponge bath.
'Nurse', he mumbles, from behind the mask. 'Are my testicles black?'
Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, 'I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet.'
He struggles to ask again, 'Nurse, please check. Are my testicles black?'
Concerned that he may elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worry about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his testicles in the other. Then, she takes a close look and says, 'There's nothing wrong with them, Sir!'
The man pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly: 'Thank you very much. That was wonderful, but, listen very, very closely......
'A r e - m y - t e s t - r e s u l t s - b a c k ??'
DIANNE - O M Geeeee!!! I guess it pays to listen closely!!! I seriously snorted my coffee on that one!
ReplyDeleteWell, yesterday was a wake up call for our store. Loss prevention has decided that because of our ongoing cash problem, Milissa and Adam (store leader and asst store leader) will be the only ones to do books. I'm trying to not take it personally. According to Milissa, they are just trying to eliminate the problem. Quite frankly, it is not me. AND during this process, I can't help them complete books in any way. The people higher up will soon find out that the leadership in my store do not have the best bookkeeping skills, and I will just sit back and watch. I guess they will get the practice they need. But I can guarantee that there will be a whole lot more that the home office has to fix with them doing the books. I also went back and fixed our cigarette counts from the beginning of November. Not good. We are missing over $300 in cigarettes. Hopefully our auditor can show us what is wrong with our #'s tomorrow during our inventory.
ReplyDeleteI didn't share this with you last week, but I reached out to my brother on Thanksgiving. I called him on the way to my in-laws. He actually answered his phone, but I kinda wish he hadn't. I wished him a Happy Thanksgiving, and told him that I loved him. He thanked me for the well wishes and said take care. THAT IS IT!!! I don't know what else to do. I keep sending him love, because that is what my Mother would want, but I can't keep getting nothing in return. With all that is wrong with this world, why can't he just love me back? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteSorry to be a Debbie Downer, but I just needed to vent. Again, this is why I am so thankful for all of you!!! No judgement and you love me as I am. THANK YOU!!! ♥♥♥
Dianne Thanks for the blog today. That was cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's very windy here today. I'm hoping some rain comes with it. Hunkering down and staying home today.
HOdi Sorry about your brother. Maybe he's just that kind of man that can't say those words. His loss.
ReplyDeleteAs for the work situation..... Don't take it personally. It's an appropriate move on the part of the loss prevention people. It's going to be fun to know that Melissa and Adam will be struggling with the numbers, don't you think? And you will no longer be called in to bail out their butts, especially Melissa's. He he he.
SLIN - The thing is, he is. It's his whore of a second wife that has filled his head with horse shit. And he ain't man enough to take a stand. With me or his son. And you're right, it's gonna be a shit show at work ;) pass the popcorn. Ha!!!
ReplyDeleteHello HOoters. Sorry I've been MIA again. I've been busy with a sick kitty. Tara, the grey and white kitty, has had diarrhea, This is the second week. I took her to the Vet on the third day and I got pills for her. Giving a cat pills is very tricky.I tried pill pockets, which is soft food bits with a hole for the pill, and she liked the pocket but spit out the pill. So, I called the Vet and was told I could use a pill pusher which is a plunger like thing (not a seedy guy on the corner) and that worked. So she had the antibiotic for a week and it looked like she might be OK. After two days off the meds it started again, so I took her back on Monday and she had lost three ounces, which is a lot when you only weigh 7 lbs, and we got another round of antibiotics in a stronger dose. She is being so good at trying to get to the litter box, but a couple of times she started dripping right before she got there and finished in the box. She gives me this sad 'I'm sorry' look and it just melts my heart. Her little behind is all red and I know it must hurt. I feel so badly for her. The Vet called me today and from the labs they did on Monday, she suggested I give Tara a nutritional supplement called FortiFlora, so I picked it up and will start that today. I hope it helps.
ReplyDeleteJ/L, It was windy here last night and it is raining today. When I left the house today it was a steady rain and halfway to the Vet's, which is less than a mile away, I went through a downpour like someone was throwing buckets of water on the car. The wipers couldn't even handle it. It only lasted about three blocks, but it shocked me and it made me laugh at myself for being such a sissy! We are all very happy for the rain!
ReplyDeleteJodi, I'm so sorry you brother isn't more receptive to your reaching out. His wife must really have a hold on him! I have a brother that doesn't communicate with my sister and me unless he wants something, usually money. I have resigned myself that we will never have a relationship. He is nine years older than I am and I idolized him when I was a kid, but I can't say we were ever close. My sister and he are only three years apart and were much closer growing up, so she is much more emotional about it. It is sad, though, and my heart hurts for you and especially his son. His son is lucky to have you to fill that void. And P.S. we love you!
ReplyDeleteDianne, Did I read right? You have mailed your Christmas cards? I am so jealous. Mine aren't even finished yet. If all goes well, they will get finished Sunday. I pray that your bladder procedure will fix whatever it is supposed to fix! Bladder issues are not fun!
ReplyDeleteMary, If you are at the Casino, I hope you are winning big!
ReplyDeleteBARB - Thank you lady! Especially heart breaking since we truly only have each other left in our immediate family. I can tell you if my Mom was still here, her size 9 would be up his ass!!!
ReplyDeleteBARB - P.S. I hope your kitty is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteBARB - One last thing. I always look forward to your cards! They are always beautiful! Need to get a family pic done, but haven't been able to nail down a day that can happen. I may just use a pic of Paul and I from our trip.
ReplyDeleteMARY - I have to go to bed before the game starts tonight. *ducking* GO PACKERS!
ReplyDeleteHi all.
ReplyDeleteYes JL, I have a lot going on and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed tonight. We got my new car tonight and I have put the registration for the old somewhere and I can't remember where. I thought I had it with me tonight but had wrong one. While I've been searching, I found my Christmas stamps I lost and had to replace 100 of them. It was in my filing under S for duh...stamps. Had my pre op today and now I'm all ready for that surgery except I really don't have time. Heck, I still have my temp bridge from six weeks ago.
Jodi, I'm so sorry your brother acts the way he does to you. It's terrible when the wife rules. I have a little of those issues with my DIL and son. I know how you continue to try, thinking of your parents....I would too. You just can do what you think is right and what your heart directs you to do. I'm sure his son appreciates and loves you so much. I'm also sorry about your work situation. Let them see what goes on there and don't you give one bit of input!! You are such a good employee.
Barb, sorry about your kitty. I hope she gets better. Yes, my cards are mailed. You should be getting it any day. It's about the only thing I have organized and done. Yours will take longer because you are making such great ones. You have double duty on yours....making them and then sending them out too.
Mary, missing you.
Btw, I got a bright red RAV 4
DIANNE - Waving a wing from break!! Love that you got a flashy red Rav4! Perfect match for your hair! Sounds like you need a good secretary. Can I come work for you? I know James appreciates the relationship we have. I love him like he is my own.
ReplyDeleteMARY - I had no idea we had won, until my friend Kelley called from Hawai'i to share in the excitement! She filled me in on the game. Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteHelloooo! It is almost 1:00 am. I didn't realize I hadn't checked in, in a while!
ReplyDeleteI have been busy running around getting stuff for my sons Birthday yesterday. I went to pick up his cake and couldn't find the store where I had called to order. They had moved since my last order, to the next town! Their website needs updating! The gal at the counter said it was too hard to change!
Today I rearranged the furniture to accommodate the tree.I went back to my artificial tree and half the lights were out! Back to the store I go! My neighbors have a tree farm with many beautiful trees, but I just didn't feel like having to water the dam thing all month!
Dianne, you are way ahead of me on cards! I have been mailing out a handful every day! Tonight I did 20 more, just 20 more to go. We have a large family on both sides lol! I will be thinking of you and hope all goes well with your surgery.
Barb, poor Kitty! Made me sad reading your post :( No Casino this week, although I am seriously contemplating it in the near future lol!
Jodi, I am so sorry about your Brother's wife alienating him from you! I know my Sis and I have had our ups and downs, but we always make the effort to mend things.
Our family (siblings) are getting fewer. Life is too precious to waste on nonsense!
Have a great week end all!!
Jodi, that was some game. I'm sure you've seen the end. The news played it several times. That was an amazing catch!
ReplyDeleteDianne, I got your card today. Thank you so much. I wish mine were done already. I hate getting them out late because there is so much going on the closer it gets to Christmas. Plus, my Grandson has decided he will walk in his graduation ceremony from the U.of Davis. So next Saturday we will be driving to Davis, which is about 45 minutes away, at 8:00am. The ceremony is at 10:00am, but Dean said we need to get there early because it will be very crowded and he wants to get a good seat.
ReplyDeleteMary, My kitty seems to be getting better. The Vet called yesterday and suggested that I give her pro-biotics with her fooe since the lab rests did not show anything that would cause her diarrhea. So I went to the office in the pouring rain (yay) to pick it up. I must taste good because Tara really likes it.
ReplyDeleteJ/L, Waving a floppy wing and hoping all is well with you. :)
ReplyDeleteBarb, awe, I am so glad he is improving! I take pro-biotics for the opposite reason lol! Our Doxie has to have grain free food. Thank goodness she is small, because the stuff is not cheap!
ReplyDeleteTime to hit the road... Laterr
Barb Well, that's a break for the home team that Tara likes the taste of the pro-biotics. I hope she's back to normal soon. Is the the same one that was sneezing not too long ago? I don't know if you are using the very lightweight litter, but there have been a few issues with cats getting upper respiratory problems with it. Don't know how prevalent that is. Just giving you a heads up.
ReplyDeleteDianne Congrats on the new car. How fun! I'm still driving my 2005 Prius.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ finding your Christmas stamps while looking for your car registration. I guess you'll be sending out bills or birthday cards or whatever with Christmas stamps for a while. Or you could save them until next year. If it was me, by the time next Christmas rolled around I would have forgotten that I already have stamps.
Mary I've been undecided about putting up a Christmas tree, especially since it is only me here. I keep contemplating about getting a really nice artificial one but I haven't done that either. Plus, artificial trees can be quite expensive and having just paid to have the house painted, I'm not too thrilled about the idea of spending money I don't really need to. I didn't have a tree last year for the first time and I felt fine about it. I did have other decorations up so it wasn't like I was a complete Scrooge.
ReplyDeleteHOdi I'm glad you have such a good relationship with James. One day he'll have his own kids and they'll come and visit their Great Aunt Jodi.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping when you go home from work you can really leave work behind now. No more "help me" calls to interrupt your time off. Yay for that!
JL, how about a small artificial tree? We have a small pre lit one. I would never remember I had stamps next year. I'll just be using them al, year.
ReplyDeleteWe went to our HOA Christmas brunch today. It was very nice and we sat with some new people we didn't know ...very interesting to talk to.
I then came home to wrap while Louis went to give blood for our dentist's father. We both did more wrapping tonight until more arrives. I now realize I'm short on gifts for my youngest grandson and have no idea what else to get him.
We are in for beautiful weather until Friday our weather girl is telling us. I'll try and send that now Jodi and Mary.
Barb, glad kitty is better and hopefully no more poop on the floor! That's exciting your grandson is graduating and you will be there.
Kayla's group won first place in state for cheer today. She is so excited and that was out of 16 teams!!!
Dianne, Congrats to Kayla's cheer group. That some accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy I am going to my Grandson's graduation. He only had two tickets left to give to Dean, so Dean's wife said I should go instead of her. It was very nice of her. She is much nicer than her mother. Dean's birthday is Dec. 14th and I'm having dinner here for him the day before, so I called his MIL to invite her and also for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 'cause I am cooking both days. All she said was "I'm going to decline" with no thanks for asking or a reason why. I know the reason - she is a witch and she hates me and she isn't too crazy about Dean! When Dean's wife, Deb, goes to her house for a holiday, Dean is NOT invited. We'll see if Deb comes to my house on Christmas. Dean won't put her in the middle between him and her Mom, so he never says anything. I feel so badly for him. But she is a 'good Christian woman!'
Goodness! Sorry for the rant!
ReplyDeleteJ/L, I'm going to put up my artificial pre-lit tree and see what the kitties do. I won't decorate it for a few days and it they don't try to climb it, I'll put a few ornaments on it, but not on the low branches. If they decide it would be nice to climb it, I'll just leave it as is. If they knock it over, maybe it will scare them into not messing with it again! HA! That's wishful thinking!
ReplyDeleteBarb, my DIL is a good Catholic girl. Goes to church, raises the kids in the church(for that I'm glad) but practicing seems to stop when she leaves the church. She is not a "do unto others" person. She told me "not to play the Jesus card with her"...nice, huh?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard, I imagine for your DIL and how rude she doesn't invite Dean over. What a position to put her daughter in. I just don't get people.
Boy, you are going to be busy cooking both days. What are you cooking? I've been asked to bring pies to Christmas. First it was going to be stuffing and then my daughter changed it to pies.....so Village Inn....here I come again.
I'm doing the 18th with the kids here but having Olive Garden provide the food and they deliver. It's pretty reasonable too including dessert. It comes out to,about $13 per person, less than if I took them out, especially if they had a drink or two!!
Dianne I'm sorry but LOL @ your DIL saying not to play the Jesus card with her. Well, if you can't play it with a self-professed Christian, who the hell can you play it with? How, pesky to actually have to act like a follower of Jesus, right?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Kayla and her cheer team. Good for them. I know it took a lot of very hard work to make that happen.
I didn't know Olive Garden delivered. I wonder if they all do. The last couple of years we have gone to a resort in Napa for a very grand buffet on Christmas Day. I think we may be doing that again this year. I'll have to get everybody's input about that soon so we can make reservations.
Barb I'm very upset on your behalf as to your son's lousy MIL. You are an angel for even inviting her to your house considering how she has treated your son.
ReplyDeleteHave you put up that tree yet? I think they will love it but maybe they won't get as excited as they do with a real one that has all those good outdoor smells. Good luck!
Yesterday I finished addressing my cards so I should get them to the post office soon. I also made a pan of fudge last night. If I'm up for it, I might make some kind of cookies tonight.
ReplyDeleteDianne & J/L, Dean's MIL does put his wife in a bad position, however, I feel she could have some control over it. If I were in her position I would tell her to back off or she will be spending her holidays alone. Especially since she isn't even that nice to her daughter. It seems her son is the 'golden child' and he lives in Phoenix. She should go live there! I only asked her so she can't say I never invite her. I knew she wouldn't accept! She wasn't this bad when her husband was alive. I think he reined her in. Now she doesn't have to worry about that, so she has gone crazy, imo!
ReplyDeleteJ/L, I forgot to answer you about Tara's sneezing. She has been doing that since we got her. The Vet said it's probably an allergy, but I don't think it is the litter, since we didn't use the light weight litter when we first got them. It has slowed down quite a bit. I wonder if the diarrhea is due to an allergy? The Jennifers and I worked on our Christmas cards again and we thought we would finish, but there is still a little bit left to do. I took all the stuff hone and will finish them tomorrow or Tuesday. One of the Jens has a lot of experience with cats/kittens and she and her Hubby take the ferals to be spayed/neutered and finds homes, etc. like you did. We were talking about Tara's problem and she said they had success feeding pumpkin and yogurt mixed together to the kittens with the same problem. I think I will try that. I don't think it can hurt her.
ReplyDeleteBarb, I agree your DIL should say something to her mother. Grrr...family sometimes!!!
ReplyDeleteJL, good job on getting your cards done. Now time to go get that tree. Olive Garden if you over $125 as a catering deal.
I sure like the Frank Sinatra special tonight. I love his music. I wish we had music like this today. It made me kind of sad watching the old days. I also like entertainment music shows. My mom would have loved it. She was a young girl swooning over him in her day.
Went to a small Bronco party today. We women didn't really watch the game. We ended up sitting in the dining room yakking. I hadn't met the other lady and she was interesting to talk to, but I do know we beat Sand Diego....again with a back up quarter back. I love ven drank a little ameratto. Hadn't had it for years and it tasted as good as it used to taste.
As of this moment, my wrapping is all done but I do know I have more Amazon arrivals. It sure feels good. I can even mail packages soon.
You will laugh at this...tomorrow night my friend is taking me out for my bday and another on Saturday. I really stretch it out!!!!
40!
ReplyDeleteMARY - Thank you....I guess Eric hasn't learned that lesson yet :(
ReplyDeleteBARB - I did see the end of the game!!! Waving a wing back!
ReplyDeleteSLIN - Yeah, right. When I went into the store on Saturday, she already was having trouble. Partly because I didn't fix a couple of shift tapes before I left on Friday, so I did take the time to help her. Just a little. Unfreakin'believable what a mess she makes of things. I had the worst time today. I need to "let it go"...but I still feel like I should be babysitting. I texted Alex last night. He said I don't have anything to worry about. It's just so frustrating when I know I would be doing a better job than she and Adam. UGH!!!
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - Sounds like my brother and his wife....!!!! They sit in that pew every week, but what they are doing is the LEAST Christ like thing I've ever witnessed. Thank you for the card! I got everyone together for a pic yesterday, but truly need someone to take the pic for us. Tried using the timer on my camera, but hard to zoom in without someone holding it!!! Take 2 soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to bowling tonight. I don't need to bowl, but I need a beer!!! It will be nice that I don't have to work until 10 am tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteHave a great night HOoters ♥
Barb The pumpkin/yogurt mixture sounds like a good plan. I also found that chicken baby food works and they love it. I think the idea is to remove fatty stuff to give her digestive system a break and time to recover. I once had a defective little cat (named Small) that had diarrhea for the first 8 months of her life. It cleared up when I put her on a dry food meant for weight loss. I know that seems counter-intuitive but it was the reduction of fats that helped her immensely. After a while, she was able to go to regular food with no problems. I hope your kitty is better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your DIL is under her mother's thumb. Maybe she makes her feel guilty because she is a widow now.
Dianne Hey, keep celebrating your birthday for as long as you can get away with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the card. I got mine in the mail today. I have some leftover Christmas stamps, too, but not 100. LOL
HOdi Just remember that they don't pay you to be someone else's supervisor, baby sitter, or rescuer. They need to figure out who it is that they've got working for them.
ReplyDeleteHave fun bowling!
SLIN - Thank you for that gentle reminder. Love u pretty lady 💟
ReplyDeleteP.s. I only came for the beer tonight! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi....nice bday dinner tonight...good food and good company.
ReplyDeleteMy son is irritating me again. He can make me feel so bad sometimes. How I'd like to respond but I won't as I'm not a arguing person and I'd like to keep seeing my grandsons .. even if it's at games. Sorry to be a whiner!
No Amazon in the mail today, so no new wrapping.
Hope you enjoyed your night, Jodi. Keep tough Jodi at work. Just do what they want you to do. It's hard to not want to help because you are a great employee.
JL, did you make your cookies?
DIANNE - Thank you. It's hard letting this go, but I will move forward doing my best. Glad you enjoyed another birthday dinner! You deserve all this celebrating!
ReplyDeleteBig news! Jake did a "wrestle off" and will be wrestling on the Varsity squad tonight! So excited and proud!
ReplyDeleteI best hoist and rinse. It was kinda nice relaxing at home this morning.
Have a great day HOoters 💚
Hodi, Yay for Jake! Did you enjoy your beer non bowling night?
ReplyDeleteDianne, this Birthday is going to run into your next Birthday! LOL!!!
Tomorrow is our UAW Retirees Christmas dinner. It will be a bit weird. Our pres. passed away today. She didn't look so good last month at our reg luncheon.
Sad to say I never liked her. I tried, really I did! There aren't too many people that I don't care for, she was one of them. She would chastise people if they did or said anything she disapproved of, in front of everyone! One time one of my friends brought her young Niece to our luncheon and was told out loud that only members should be there.Kind of embarrassing. They pic numbers for which table goes to buffet first. Yay, we were picked first! We stood up and were promptly put in our place She said (first time ever) that we should sit down and let the slow ones go first! Mind you, most are over 70 and no one was going to run them down lol!
I feel bad for not feeling bad about her passing. She was a strong voice in our union and bled union!People were too afraid of her to not vote her in every year.
Health wise she should have stepped down years ago.
Oh well, may she RIP!
HOdi Oops! I forgot you were only drinking and not bowling. I hope your numbers didn't rival your bowling numbers. LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jake. I'm glad he is back to wrestling and doing so well.
Dianne Keep on celebrating for as long as you can get away with it. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your son made you feel bad. I know you want to keep seeing your grandsons but I don't think that would be in jeopardy if you told your son that he hurts your feelings. He may need a reality check on how he behaves toward you. My son has probably given me every gray hair that I have. He's very loving to me but I swear there is always some kind of problem he's having or something going on with him that makes me worry. My daughter always has all her ducks in a row, thank goodness.
Mary It sounds like the woman who passed away was not an easy one to like. Talk about bossy! Thank goodness she didn't pass away at your Christmas party. Talk about a buzz kill. Is that bad to say?
ReplyDeleteI really didn't get too much done today. I did go into SF with my friends, Jane and John, to a hole in the wall place for an excellent Philly cheese steak. Otherwise, I just did mundane stuff like laundry. Ho hum, boring!
ReplyDeleteYesterday I bought to bags of coffee specifically so I could use a coupon I have and then I forgot to use it. I hate when that happens.
ReplyDeleteTwo bags..
ReplyDeleteWell. My surgery for tomorrow was canceled at 4:30 today. The hospital called to tell me insurance hadn't approved it. I immediately called dr office and was told that the person in charge "forgot to send paper work in". It will now take ten days to get approval. I was beside myself being upset. My ins ends the end of the month and I gave to get it done. Nothing could be done. They were sorry. The dr called me apt 6:30 tonight and apologized and said she promised she'd get me in this month. I hope it's not at Christmas or on my kids day here. I had an amaretto to drown my sorrows. I'm not even much of a drinker!!!
ReplyDeleteMedicare sent me my card but now they think I haven't had prescription care for three years so they want to charge me a penalty. Grr I've had it my whole life. One last thing...had a hot water heater installed a month ago and county was supposed to come for inspection. I call plumbing company and "we fell thru the cracks and they forgot to file a permit". Now see why I drank??
Congrats Jodi on Jake wrestling. Very exciting. How did he do?
JL, I can't predict what my DIL would do about kids if I said much. I just am not comfortable rocking the boat. I do tell my son he hurts my feelings and then he's sorry and thinks I'm too sensitive. He just different around his wife.
Oh well...time for sleep. Night
Jake lost his match, but fought hard. Had a bloody nose through most of his match, too.
ReplyDeleteGood thing it's my Year End Meeting day. I get my bonus, but about 2/3's of it will be spent on a new hot water heater. Water is leaking out of it, and we haven't had hot water in about 24 hours.
I best get dressed because I'm not sure when they will be delivering the new hot water heater.
HOdi Sorry about your hot water heater and it's a bummer that you have to use most of your bonus to replace it. On the other hand, isn't it nice that you have extra money just in time? Hot water is important, especially for bathing. Brrrrr!
ReplyDeleteDianne How disappointing to have your surgery cancelled at the last minute. I hope the doctor can get your surgery done within the month. It's frustrating that there's nothing you can do to expedite this and it was someone else's fault and you can't change that. Meanwhile, relax and pour yourself another drink.
ReplyDeleteSLIN - So the tech came over this morning to check our hot water heater out. We did not need a new one, he just had to do a manuel reset of the gas valve! I almost cried.
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - I hope they can fit you in, and soon!!! It's a good thing you are so far ahead in your Christmas game!
ReplyDeleteHOdi Well, wasn't that a nice Christmas present? Glad to hear you only needed a reset.
ReplyDeleteDianne, I was pissed just reading your post lol! Does that "person in charge"" work part time with Hodi? js lol! We changed our ins. from traditional BCBS to "Preferred" starting Jan.It allows for free membership to any gym, plus better deductibles. I hope we like it, if not, we can go back to traditional in 2017.
ReplyDeleteJodi, sorry Jake lose. Bloody noses are the worst! I used to get them when I worked at General Motors. All the dry air and nasty dust!
JL, I love a good Philly steak sammy!! The lady that passed away had recently stepped down from he position in the union and was training the new gal. She died before she could do that. I felt so sorry for Marta (new pres) today. She was in tears trying to get things going at our party. I hugged her and told her she was going to be a fantastic replacement! She smiled and relaxed a bit. It's a lot for her to take in at once I'm sure! It involves a lot. I wish her well!
69!!!
ReplyDeleteMARY - Looks like you had a nice turnout for your party! lol @ Does that "person in charge"" work part time with Hodi? I know a part time co-worker that is on very thin ice. She got shopped by a "sting" by our lovely village. Didn't even card the kid. She got suspended and fined $375!!! I actually felt bad for Milissa this week. She was asked to attend the Village Board meeting Monday night and got blind sided because of this incident. Like she doesn't have enough on her plate already.
ReplyDeleteMARY - P.s. Thank you for the lovely card!! Still hoping to get a pic soon for ours, but I may just have to "piece" pics together. Individually of the kids, and one of Paul and I together.
ReplyDeleteNew Blog
ReplyDeleteDianne, I am sorry you have all that to deal with, especially during this busy time of year. I hope they get their act together so you can have that surgery before the end of the month. Someone should get fired! I used to be a Dental Assistant/Receptionist and the only people that had dental back then (1964-65) were people on Welfare and those authorization requests were a high priority so the patients could get their work done. We were told on the first day of work how important that was and we made sure to get them processed. Maybe you need to threaten a law suite!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any documents that prove your Medicare drug coverage? Can they really make you pay for the last three years? OMG, I DO see why you needed that drink. I need one just reading your post! LOL
