~ Happy Halloween ~

  1. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

So what's happening tonight in your neck of the woods? I am assuming there will be no Trick or Treaters because of the virus. I have a porch light that goes on automatically when someone comes near so I need to remember to take the light bulb out of it, just in case anyone comes to my door. The word on my street is that these neighbor kids will not be going out tonight. I did buy some little Rice Krispie Treats and will take some to the neighbor kids that I know. I already gave some to the two kids from across the street as I knew that family was going down to SoCal for the weekend. Some households have gone ahead a decorated their households for the holiday but I didn't even bother putting my plug-in pumpkins in the window, let alone decorating outside. I did put some fall decorations on the mantle and the coffee table for my own spirits. Oh, and I have one miniature pumpkin with a cool, twirly stem I got a kick out of so it's one of the things on the mantle.

I know we are all thinking of Dianne and worrying about her and sending her love, prayers, and all the best wishes we can conjure up.

  2. The kids in neighboring towns are trick or treating. Homes aer making up bags of candy and either tossing them or leaving on tables outside. There is also what they call "Trunk or Treating" where cars all park in a lot and exchange bags of candy.

Out here in the country we never get kids.
I hate that Dianne is having more health problems. I will keep her in my prayers, like I do all of you xoxoxoxo

  3. Hi all......
It's actually been quite a while since any trick or treating has gone on here. Years back people got scared of all the weirdos coming to their door and weirdos answering the door. Bad things into candy. It pretty much stopped and they just did candy fun at schools and churches. There was not a thing
going on here last night. Kind of sad.

I've been thinking non stop about Dianne. I keep talking to her saying....Come on girl, you can do this! So happy the covid test came back negative, that's a good thing. Keeping her in my prayers and hope she gets stronger everyday.

Nothing exciting here.....did laundry today....oh boy!
Although-----RAIDERS win!!! YAY!! Now I'm watching SEAhawks and hoping they beat those stickin 9ers πŸ˜›

Counting blessings and moving on........and I will tell ya, I'm not going ANYwhere on Tuesday. And probably not the next few days after either. I'm hoping for the best but honestly expecting the worse when that election is over. Here's h o p i n g for good.

Thinking of ya all and sending hugs πŸ’›πŸ˜ŽπŸΆπŸ§‘

  4. It is cold and windy here in Mich. I still go out on our patio and do all my stretches, exercises and Tai chi. I have a fear of losing movement as I age. I even do 5 lb wt arm lifts. Yesterday I did a bit too much lifting (outside work) so my sciatica started acting up. I am all good today after a bit of stretching.
Zoie and I need to get our toes did soon. I can hear Zoie's nails on the kitchen floor. Mine, not yet lol!
Time to get a few gross-eries and make dinner plans. I try to make up a schedule for a week before buying food.
I hope I didn't over stimulate you with my boring days lol!!

  5. I’m so glad Dianne is doing well enough to be going home. I’m still praying for her and Louis. She said he hasn’t had his echocardiogram yet. I actually pray for all of us and our families every day as well as for our country. I worry that, mo matter who wins this election, there is going to be civil unrest afterward. That’s all I am going to say about that!

We haven’t had any trick or treaters for many years. There are not many kids on our street and we didn’t even see any dressed up. Halloween was something we always looked forward to as kids and also as parents of little kids. On of my friends has two daughters who are the same age as Chad and Todd and for about six years we made costumes with the same theme and took them out trick or treating together. The first year my boys were Raggedy Andy and her girls were Raggedy Ann. They were three and five and so cute. I still have those costumes. Todd and Vicki rigged up a chute from his front door with a bell at the bottom, so kids rang the bell and Todd sent candy down the chute. They had 40 kids. We used to get over 200 kids in the day.

Thank you again for all the birthday wishes. My birthday dinner was really nice and I had leftovers for two days. Yesterday Chad made corned beef and we have leftovers for today.

Mary, you cracked me up with your “overstimulating” comment. I admire that you use 5 lb. weights. I have arm issues and use 2 lb. weights to try to strengthen them. I don’t feel like it isn’t helping much. I probably should try heavier weights.

SEASIDE, our Raiders did well yesterday. Chad gets really loud when watching Raiders and A’s games. I always wonder what the neighbors think because I’m sure they hear him!

JL, We have to wait until Thursday for the Bachelorette this week because of election coverage. This may be Claire’s last week.

Dianne, Hopefully you will be home today and doing much better. I’m so happy that the COVID test was negative. I hope Louis is doing better, also. ❤️U

  6. SacBarb, I lied,. the weights are 2.5 lol! They just felt like 5lbs!
I have been watching "Hoarders" I know it's a sickness, but how they can stand the smell is beyond me!! My home is far from perfect, but I hate clutter!
I made enchiladas tonight and a pile of nacho chips along with Spanish rice.
This is the first time I have had the tv on today. It feels good to sit. The day just flew by.

Dianne. I sure do miss you! You just take it slow & easy and you will be back on the road soon :) .

JustLin, Time to take down the pumpkins and prepare for the Turkey...wait! Pumpkins are part of Thanksgiving too! . I didn't put up too many decorations. I bought tiny pumpkins to put on the patio and on my small rock garden. I put a wreath by the front door that can go from Halloween to Thanksgiving.

Seaside, Are you into the Holiday spirit? I think we should just jump from Halloween to a NYE party and forget 2020 lol! Praying next year is kinder to us!

  7. Yaaaaaaaaaaaay Dianne is home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Prayers answered but continuing for good complete recovery. Smooches Dianne.

Mary Cracking me up with your nails not clicking on the floor---yet! LOL!! You silly goose. My Gidget needs her nails clipped too and I always dread having to take her in for that. She will let me check and squeeze and push around and stays completely still. But man when she sees nail clippers she goes crazy. I always feel so bad they have to go through that with her.

Barb Memories of Halloween past is a lot of fun I know. Sounds like your little Raggedy Andy was adorable. I even remember when I was little, it was so fun. I also remember being COLD!!! Not anymore. Went out on Halloween and was sweating, now into November and still sweating. Sure hope it get cold soon and hope we get more than 4-5 days of rain this year/next year.

JL I can't thank you enough for keeping me in the loop with news of Dianne. Hope you're doing good and looking forward to the holidays. Do you travel or stick around around home? I don't think I've ever traveled anywhere during holidays. It always looks really maddening when you see all the crowds at airports and stuff. I like being home actually.

Dianne Holding you AND Louis in my heart. You better take it really easy and not over do anything. Get yourself stronger but slowly. SO glad you're home!!

Ok we got to get one thing straight. Die-hard RAIDER fans never fail. It's in the DNA and in our blood. I could care less where they go they will always be my Bad Boys. One more thing.....they did not abandon the bay area. The bay area lost them. Goof ball Libby said she would do EVERYTHING to keep them here and did nothing! I was also really upset with past and retired players because they easily could have made it happen. We're talking pocket change! They did try but waaaay to late. And as far as Mark Davis goes he's just a #(*)& @(*#) @)(!****(*(!!!! It's all about the money.
    Looooove My RAIDERS...always πŸ˜˜πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸˆπŸˆπŸˆπŸˆπŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ€—

We had a few problems around here, not super close but close enough. Election day caused some business to board up windows and some closed all together. A couple places had a ton of trucks/cars caravanning around with their flags and non stop honking. Lots of streets were closed with cops redirecting traffic. But thankfully nothing real serious. I so hope it stays this way because I've been expecting it to get bad after the outcome is revealed.
Please be safe and take care.

    Love to ya all....😎🐢

  8. Seaside After my mother died, I was traveling to SoCal to spend a week or so at Thanksgiving time to visit with my brother. Until last year, my daughter still lived close enough to keep my dog while I was away. Now she lives in Oregon but she'll be coming down here for Christmas. I don't have a dog now but I don't want to fly during the pandemic, especially during a holiday time when there will be more travelers than usual. I will be alone on Thanksgiving and that's fine with me. I'm hoping to find a turkey breast to roast for the holiday as I don't like dark meat but love turkey dinners.

I don't really care enough about football to be a die-hard fan but I do enjoy watching the Niners. When my husband was still alive, we'd plan out what snacks to have while watching the game and we'd make an occasion out of it. That's how I got into watching football at all. I have nothing against the Raiders, it just seems to me that there can't be a Bay Area rivalry if both teams are no longer in the Bay Area. Whatever.... For whatever reason, I have negative feelings about the Seahawks. Don't even know why, anymore.

  9. Mary This is the time of year when my house is in the shade of the beginnings of the Montara Mountain range and it is literally colder inside my house than outside. I'm in the shade and while the sun is shining on the street right below me. I've been turning up the thermostat lately. If I'm sitting on the couch, I'll have a blanket throw over me.

My little pumpkin will stay on the mantle with the other fall decorations until sometime after Thanksgiving. I also have a ceramic green pumpkin on the coffee table which I picked up at the local Rite Aid. It has a wooden tag tied to the stem which reads "Thankful". I didn't buy it when I first saw it but I kept thinking about it so went back for it. I'm glad I did.

I made chicken piccata two nights ago and will be eating it for the third time tonight. I also have leftover rice pilaf. I had oven roasted asparagus with it the last two nights but I'll have to come up with something else tonight. On second thought, I'm kind of tired of the chicken piccata. Maybe I'll take a break from it tonight. Lots of leftovers is the main problem with cooking for one. You probably don't have a leftover problem in your house.

    LOL @ clicking toenails.

  10. Barb So what will be find out first? When Clare leaves Bachelorette or who is the president? LOL As you know, I was binge watching a Danish show yesterday in order to keep my mind occupied and away from election stuff. Well, I am paying for it today with my sore back. I need to sit on the couch to be close enough to read the subtitles and after a while, I tend to start slouching. When I do that for a long time, I pay for it with my back.

Today I went out and about. I went to the post office and then went to my local coffee shop and actually ate there this time instead of getting the food to go. It was after lunch time so there was only one other customer at the time. I had my lunch and read my Kindle just like the good old days. Afterwards, I decided to go to the nail salon next door to get a gift certificate for my friend whose birthday is coming up. I forgot to put my mask back on when I first walked in. Oops!

My front door has a thumb operated latch and it would NOT open when I came home! It has been getting tougher lately to push the thumb latch all the way down but this is the first time that it really wouldn't open. I had to go around the side of the house to the back yard and come in through the back door. When I test the door latch with the door open, there is no problem at all with it. Maybe I can get some graphite into it and see if that makes a difference.

  11. Dianne You were cracking me up with your Coach bag comments. I know we all have our priorities and I'm sure you'll get it worked out.

I hope you continue to feel better every day and Louis, too. I hope the cortisone shots give him some relief. I know you are being very careful regarding the pandemic so I'm wondering what you plan to do for Thanksgiving. You can probably get a nice dinner delivered or for pick-up if you don't want to be around other people.

  12. Hi....We are staying home for thanksgiving. Barb is going to come over as she’s alone. I’m not comfortable going to Tammy’s or anywhere this year. A person from tams work has covid do she went in for test yesterday. It takes about two days. My dr is getting a rapid one that is only 15 min turnaround. The girls have people at the studio getting covid too. It’s just safer to not be in someone’s house. I’d be more comfortable at a restaurant...not such close quarters. The kids dad had a major double bypass last week so tam has been busy checking on both of us. Her dad finally goes to rehab today. We will pick up a thanksgiving dinner somewhere for us. Louis can watch football and barb and I will just talk! I was kind of sad about it but after being in the hospital I’m not as sad. I will miss them but safe is safe.

I’m hoping Louis’s shots will help as that shoulder has been giving him fits. He goes to PT too.

Thanks to you all for checking on me. It really means a lot

  13. JustLin. We do have some leftovers, which Matthew usually eats. Jim isn't much on left-overs. It is hard for me to cook small amounts lol! I always make sure Matthew has a few enchiladas to snack on later.
Awe, your little green pumpkin sounds cute.

Dianne. How nice that you are sharing Thanksgiving day with Barb.I'm pretty sure we there will only be the 3 of us here for dinner. We usually go to Raquel's or Lena's. I will miss them , especially Myla. She is always such a delight.
Wow, I didn't know they had COVOD test that were so fast!

Barb, I use to have a Raggedy Ann. I think she finally got too raggedy lol! My favorite childhood toy, was a tea set. I remember playing with it for hours in our back yard under a huge Maple tree.

Seaside, I hope things are going well with you. Do you and Gidget go for walks in your neighborhood? Zoie loves her walks although some days seems all she does is sniff things and turn around and wants to come in lol!

Today I trimmed some evergreens and cut back flower bushes. It has been so beautiful here. Low 70s. Next week the temps will drop like a rock :( Bound to happen, but I don't have to like it lol!
Gottah go. My all time fave. movie is on TCM (The Ghost & Mrs Muir.

  14. Hi....I’m feeling kind of sad tonight. I’m a group text about thanksgiving plans and we’ve opted to stay home this year as I had mentioned. They r all going out to dinner for Andy’s bday next weekend and again we’re not going. I feel like we live in a state all alone! The two girls have a few people at their work that have tested positive so they've been exposed so I don’t feel,ok for that unless they are tested. It’s just depressing plus I still am so breathless when I walk even with the oxygen. My numbers are good but I can’t catch my breath. I thought with oxygen that would go away.....it hasn’t at all. Positive thing....I received beautiful flowers and balloons from my friend pat. It was a surprise for sure. Ok... enough whining.

JL, did you get your new water heater? You r so lucky it was in your garage. A pain to pay for but still no mess to clean up. We’ve been eating parmesan chicken that a friend brought over. Tmrw she’s bringing pulled pork and potato salad. Barb is bringing chili. It’s so nice of my friends. I need to do some research for our thanksgiving meal. I just want to get individual ones. Btw, the oxygen and coach are not working out.

Mary...we eat leftovers here too. I don’t mind them. Our temps have been in high 70’s but get ready cold and snow the beginning of the week. I can live with the cold but not snow. We r going out to a 4pm dinner tmrw for my bday. It won’t hardly have anyone there so early. Barbs going with us as her bday was last Friday. I’ll have steak! Not much else planned. Bronco game in morning ..ho hum.

Barb...are you having turkey and all the fixings on Thursday? Is it just the two of you? Did you make any cards yet? I should do mine..at least the labels. Heck, I just got my November and December bday cards done. It’s Todd’s bday next week. I just send money. I’ve done a lot of Christmas shopping but who knows if I’ll ever see anyone to give them out. Whoops...whining again.

Seaside...who do you play tmrw or is it a bye? I wish I got as excited as you do about the games. I sure used to up until a couple of years ago. Have you done any shopping yet. I love to go to craft shows but they are all canceled this year. I’ve always like going to them. Not much else new here. Started listening to some Christmas music last night.

  15. JL, I am feeling much better this week. I made more peanut butter cookies yesterday, but I ran out of kisses. Chad said it’s because I made the cookies smaller and there are more cookies. He’s probably right, because I’m sure he didn’t EAT any of them! NOT! So there are some that are just peanut butter! 😹 Did you fix your door latch? That has to be a bummer to have to walk around to the back to get inside. Did you make the chicken piccata from scratch? I made it once and used a packet of spices, etc. and I remember everyone liking it. I don’t know why I never did it again!
Well, Social media folks continue to trash Clare and even Dale a little. Some are still in her camp, but many think production knew about her and Dale from the beginning. Tayshia indicated she only had a few hours notice and was there in quarantine like the rest of them. She wouldn’t answer Kimmel when he asked specifically when she arrived at the site. Soooo ... we surely don’t have the whole story.

Dianne, we are not having anyone here for Thanksgiving, nor are we going out. Chad will cook a turkey and I will be his sous chef. I saw on FB that Barb said she was going to make pumpkin cupcakes or muffins. Maybe she’ll bring them for Thanksgiving. I am not crazy about pumpkin spice stuff, except pie! I do love the pie, though! I hope the shots have helped Louis and his echocardiogram turns out well!

Mary, when the family was all living here, I cooked a lot and always made more than everyone ate, so we always had left overs. My hubby and the kids liked having leftovers to take for lunch and sometimes even ate it for breakfast. I have a hard time cooking for one and apparently Chad takes after me! Or, he does it intentionally so he doesn’t have to cook every day! Anyway, it works for us!
By the way, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is one of my fave movies, too. I also liked the TV show based on the movie.

Seaside, Looking forward to watching our Raiders play tomorrow. Win or lose, they are our team!

  16. Dianne, I just looked on you FB page and I guess it’s pumpkin cookies that Barb said she was going to make, not cupcakes or muffins.
Happy Birthday. I hope you got the card I sent. ❤️

  18. Thanks for the bday wishes. Barb, didn’t get the card yet...probably tomorrow. Broncos doing terrible as usual. Yum on barbs cookies. She’s a good baker and loves doing it. Guess I’ll watch some more of the boring game.

  19. Hey ya all..........Happy FOOTBALL day πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸˆπŸˆπŸ–€πŸ–€

Dianne My RAIDERS are playing now....RAIDERS 14 Steelers 7 but it's only in the 2nd quarter so I still have a lot of yelling to do. Those dang Broncos...was yelling for em but those lousy Falcons took it over. I hope Louis's shoulder is doing better after getting those shots. I know how painful that is. I'm so so sorry you're not feeling good and feeling a little down. It's hard not being able to go and do everything we want to. The holidays will be different this year for most people. I know you're going to miss going out but you have to be well and safe too. I always loved going to all the craft fairs at Christmas time. I'd get all my little reminder post cards in order and go out hitting one after the other. You're right, that is something to miss this year.

JL How nice that your daughter will visit for Christmas. I totally agree with you about flying. I wouldn't want to do that right now either. I used to be flying somewhere every week or two for several years. Don't know what I'd do if I had to do that now. I was laughing SO hard when you said you never liked the Seahawks but can't remember why! You silly----doesn't matter because we all have our favorites and for what ever reason those we don't really like. Makes it more fun that way LOL

Barb So good to hear you're feeling better. Are you watching the game? Sure hope RAIDERS hold on and keep the lead. I do wish I could see your cute face all the time but at the same time I'm glad we don't live close. If we did I'd have to come over and steal all those goodies you're always making. Still getting the giggles with you and your missing kisses. Sounds like a fun problem to have.

Mary I need a favor....could you please text me sweet Karina's address? I used to be good at keeping up with her and her changing address but the last time I sent her a card it came back. I don't know how I did that because I thought I had the right one. I FINISHED my Christmas cards today! YAY! They're all ready to mail, but not until day before Thanksgiving. My Gidget and I go for walks all the time. Usually at least 2-3 times a day. BUT I carry her in my arms. She's just so so little and I'm over protective. Lots of people think it's ok to walk around with their babies off leash. Some really big babies come running and though I don't get scared, I worry what could happen if they didn't like Gidget. Plus we have a lot of big birds and three times (over several years) I saw little babies carried off. I would simply die and gives me nightmares just thinking about it. Whenever I'm outside and see someone across the street at the park with their baby off leash I come in the house. Don't ever want to see that again. But we have fun walks anyway. Whenever somebody stops to talk Gidget thinks they're just there to love her. She is the silliest girl!

Well ya all I think I'll give my hand a rest after all that writing and go yell at my RAIDERS for a while. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend............

  21. Seaside. I sent you Karina's info. She will be there a while since they bought their home. I am so glad she no longer has to move around for her hubbies job.
    My Lions lost again :(

Dianne. I forgot to mail your card on time. It has been sitting on my office desk for days. It has been so nice out that I have not been in there for a while.
Jim & I cleaned all the gutters on the house from all the leaves. It is a bit tricky to do with an a-frame roof on the house & lower garage. I had to haul 6' and 12' ladders around after Jim pooped out on me. It was fun putting them back up in the garage! Jim was amazed that I did it on my own. I wasn't even panting lol!! I think all my arm exercises have paid off.

JustLin, What is a "thumb latch?" Glad you were able to break into your own home lol! I am so glad you are getting out a bit. It can be a downer staying home too much. All I have been doing is getting groceries and getting Zoie and I groomed lol!
I didn't even go to my GM friends luncheon last month. I will be going next week. They are meeting at a Mexican restaurant :)

SacBarb. I had completely forgotten about the tv series of The Ghost & Mrs Muir.
I am trying to remember who played her. I am going to see if I can find a cd series on it.
Today Zoie and I went for a long drive. We visited a friend who had moved out of our area. On my way back I stopped at my son Tony's home. He was in his man cave/garage watching football. I asked him if he had any venison steaks in the freezer from last year as we had run out. He said why yes! I just cut up a deer I shot yesterday, (bow & arrow). They looked good. Nice and lean the way I like them.

  22. Mary A thumb latch doorknob....You wrap your fingers around the handle (like holding a coffee cup handle) and your thumb presses down on the release lever to open the door.

I'll come back tomorrow to write to all of you. I'm so tired right now that I can't concentrate. I've been up since 5:30 because of my back and sciatica pain. This has been going on since Tuesday and I'm so over it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Dianne I sent you a card, too. If you didn't get it yet, I hope you get it tomorrow, at least.

    ReplyDelete
  24. JustLin, I have been having trouble with my sciatica for over a week too!
I try to do specific sciatica stretches at least in the morning.
It would help if I quit lifting heavy things and putting pressure on my knees and hips.
Today I spent most of the day in my home office, cleaning and sorting. I can't believe how many cables, cords, and doo dads I have accumulated! Thank goodness I was smart enough to put labels on most of them! I even had old land line phone cords.

We get one more warm day tomorrow. I have plans to put some sealant on a corner of my bedroom window..outside. I bout the stuff a while ago, but no one seems want to do it, sooo. I will!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mary You are so disciplined with your sciatica stretches, tai chi, and other exercises. Unfortunately, I am not. I did pretty good with keeping up with the PT for my shoulder to the point that there's really just one that still causes me discomfort to do. Not that my shoulder is all okay, it is not. I don't think it will ever be 100%. I will always have to be careful how I use that arm.

I definitely have not been doing anything strenuous or even mildly active since my sciatica reared its ugly head a week ago. I do have to go the post office today and then to the drug store for more Tylenol and Salonpas lidocaine patches. I am sitting at my computer now with a heating pad against my lower back.

I hope that sealant you need to apply doesn't require you to get on a ladder. As much activity and exercise you do on a regular basis, you are probably the fittest one in your house. LOL

  26. Seaside I happened to watch the last few minutes of your Raider game last Sunday. Wow! That was an exciting ending.

Things will definitely be different this year as far as many people's Christmas traditions. I used to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping when the kids were little. Now that they are adults and even the grandkids are young adults, it's just better and easier to give gift cards so they can choose their own present.

Congrats on getting your Christmas cards done. I'm sure I've never been done with mine before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is about the time I start panicking to get they addressed and stamped. At least I have cards and stamps sitting here waiting for me to take action.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dianne I'm sorry you were feeling down. I hope you are feeling better now. How was your birthday? I hope you got the card I sent. I find that birthdays just aren't as fun as they were when I was young. There was no big parties or anything when I was a kid but I always got a special gift and mom made whatever kind of cake I requested. That would usually be devil's food cake with chocolate frosting. It was nice to feel special for a little while.

I hope you are following up with your doctor regarding the shortness of breath. I'm hoping it is just a question of needing to build up your endurance. You have a lot to be thankful for, nonetheless. You are home with Louis and you have such nice friends to friend you dishes that they have cooked for you. I have a friend that loves to cook and I was at her house the other night for dinner. She made minestrone soup and Caesar salad and garlic bread. Oh, and she made me a Bloody Mary, too. She sent me home with a quart of her soup. Lucky me! I was especially grateful for it yesterday because my back and sciatica are really getting me down and I didn't want to cook for myself.

I'm used to being alone so this pandemic is probably not as hard on me as it is on you. I'm thankful that you will stay home and stay safe. That's the important thing right now.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Barb The chicken piccata I make is very easy. It's the WW recipe and it's very tasty. I like it a lot.

It was a pain to be locked out of my house. My house is on a slope so the back yard is approximately one story lower than the front. From the backyard, I have to climb up the twelve steps to the deck to get to the back door. It was very inconvenient but at least it wasn't raining. I cleaned out a tiny bit of debris from the opening on the strike plate and the door has been opening easily since then. Knock on wood!

It was downright cold here yesterday. I kept turning up the thermostat. I had to keep a blanket throw over my legs in order to feel comfortable. My daughter who now lives in Eugene, drove with a friend to a beautiful area to hike that was a couple hours away. When they finished their hike and started home, they discovered the windy mountain road was now covered in snow. The lights from their car were shining off the snow and blinding them and they had trouble seeing where the edge of the road was. Yikes! Scary!

I'm looking forward to our Bachelorette show tonight for the shear escapism of it. It's nice to have a break from the world and it's problems for a little while.

  29. I've been up since about 4:00 a.m. once again because of sciatica. I'm so tired of this and just plain tired.

  30. JustLin! I am so sad you are hurting! Any chance of your going to a chiro? If mine gets unbearable, I get an adjustment. Have you ever used a tennis ball to sit on the side that hurts? I use stretch bands in the morning when I am feeling lazy lol.

I did get my window corner sealed. It was just.. within reach! It was causing problems, especially when the snow and wind start flying. I see a bit of the drywall on that corner in my room, has started to break away. Hopefully I will get that repaired next spring.

I was a bit irritated today! I drove over 6o miles to our luncheon restaurant and no one was there! I drove back to Lansing and did some shopping. I was out of printer ink. Almost $70 for both color and blk & white!
Anyhoo, come to find out, the group changed their place to eat and I somehow got left out of the email explaining that! Gr-r-r-r. Evidently The gal that sends the emails was trying a new way to contact us, by group text and forgot me.
    She felt bad.

  31. Hi.....well Mary that’s rude to forget to tell you they changed places. Long drive to not find anyone. Grrr. I’ll bet that lady felt bad forgetting you..she owes you a lunch! Did you get our cold weather? It’s been nice this week and sunny. Mary, sorry your having pain. We are all just a mess! Mary, I’m glad you weren’t on a ladder. You are the handy woman around there!

JL, I’m so sorry you’re feeling bad. Have you ever gone to the dr recently about it? Maybe at least you could get pain pills to help during the night. Do the pains go down your leg too? It’s hard to get any energy when you aren’t feeling great. My energy is low to do things I think I’m just lazy though. Do those patches help? Boy, how scary for your daughter and her friend. I hate driving in the snow especially since I’m older. My breathing is the same so the oxygen isn’t doing much. I’ll just wait until I see dr in December. It sure sounds like a hard way to get in your house the back way. Too much climbing.

I got your card today, Barb. It took a full week to get here. That seems really long from your house to mine! Did you and JL enjoy your show last night? I was watching the country music awards show. I love those two shoes each year. Pretty weird without much of an audience. I think we are going to start ordering our groceries again with covid numbers getting worse. We don’t really get too much but Louis’s breakfast things. I went to eye dr today. I guess I have to for sure go in dec for a consultation to get my eyelid lifted...again. It’s affecting my cornea. I’m tired...real tired...of dr things.

Seaside..well, you are beating me with Christmas cards. I’m not even close to starting them. I’m kind of not in the mood this year. This time last year we were vacationing and having so much fun! Who would have thought how things change in a year. Well, I see Gidget gets a lot of exercise on your walks .lol. I’d be nervous with such a little dog getting hurt too. Do you cook a turkey for thanksgiving? We are going to order a meal from a local place. Louis will watch football all day. My daughter texted me tonight that she wants to bring our dinner over on thanksgiving but she’s hosting a few others and I think it’s too much for her and we live a good 30min apart. I will talk to her about it tmrw. It’s very sweet of her.

That’s about it buys. Hope we all feel better tmrw!
