A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with
her five and six-year-olds.
After explaining the
commandment to 'honor' thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, 'Is there a
commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?’
From the back, one
little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, 'Thou shall not kill.’
ReplyDeleteHi all......Been busy like everybody else and trying not to sweat myself silly!! I'm to old for this poop!
Barb I'm so glad you finally got back on the blog. I'm sure it must have been frustrating as heck.
Mary I loved the picture of baby Zoie in her new super mobile. She's so dang cute. Is she enjoying the ride?
Dianne...........What's with all the stories about cold hearted kids? Just wondering.
Did you finally decide on which of two pretty outfits you're going to cruise with? I really like them both. I think you should take both of them and wear them at different times. What about Louis? Which one does he like best? When are you two cruising next and where are you going? I'm sure you've said but I forgot. Typical for my P-brain Lol
JL Did you feel our earthquake last week?? Holy poop scared me crazy! It was centered about 30 miles from my house and it was a roller. Went back and forth about 4-5 times. I was glad I wasn't walking around or standing up. I got up at 4:30am, and had just sat down watching the news when it hit at 5:05. These people that have lived in California for ever that go Oh it was just a little shaking, no big deal, drive me nuts. I've lived here my whole life and it's not something I can get used to. No no no π£
Bebe Been thinking of you and wondering what fun stuff you've got planned for you and that adorable granddaughter of yours. A lot of summer time fun I hope.
I've got chicken boiling for my baby and it's just about done. At least she thinks and keeps telling me it's time to eat!
Sending ya all hugs and lots of love too ππΆπΌπ°
ReplyDeleteMary, no doggies here. Sorry. You will have to leave Zoie with Jim! When r u going to Vegas again? It’s bee n a long time for you both . I’m hugging and shaking hands with dr so hope I stay safe …both of us
We went to lunch with a cousin and husband today. It was nice as it seems like I just see her at funerals. Tmrw is Ww day…don’t look forward to it. I think I’ve decided to keep the navy blue dress. I like the eggplant color but they don’t have the blue one in that color. They r already running out of them and that’s why I bought them now. I guess I never figured they’d both not only fit but that I’d like them both too. I just don’t have a need for two dressy outfits. I can even wear this one if any grandkids get married. Btw their whole family all left for Cabo this am. They will be there for about seven days. I’m glad we didn’t go , although it would be fun but they call me the alcohol police. I just don’t care to go and watch those kid especially drinking so much. I’d probably ruin their trip.
JL, r u in Oregon now? I can’t remember the dates. Hope you r enjoying yourself.
Barb, hi..what do u have planned for summer? Did u decide to go to San Diego? I wish we had some summer plans. Boring until Labor Day week. .
Seaside, we go on Texas tenors cruise Feb 12.
Bev, have you tried to get on like barb did the other day? Missing you
Seaside, I don’t know what you mean about, bad kids. if you’re talking about blogs. I’ve sent these to Tina over a year ago. They’re always new to me too after so long. If you any send them to either me or Tina and I’ll forward them. Haven’t had any for awhile.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a cute blog. I’m the youngest of three, but my sister and brother were 12 & 9 when I was born, so as far as I know, they never wanted to kill me. My sister liked to take me to the football games because I used to cheer with the cheer leaders and attracted a lot of attention. Apparently, I knew all the cheers and choreography. I was 3 & 4 years old. Even the football players liked me and by extension, liked my sister, too.
ReplyDeleteSeaside, nice to see you there on the first branch. I agree with you about earthquakes. They freak me out, too, no matter how small they are! We’ve had several that I never felt, and even they freak me out when I hear about them!
Dianne, I like both of the outfits we voted on, but the one with the lace edge edged out the other one by a hair! LOL when do you leave? Are you going to wear a mask when you aren’t eating? I guess it’s not required anymore, but now that the covid numbers have risen again, I would wear one. I realize it’s hard for you to breathe with a mask on and we do want to keep breathing! :-)
Mary, I love Zoie’s new mode of transportation. I didn’t know they had such things for pups! I wonder if my kitties would like to ride in one of those? I would probably have to somehow use something to tie them in or they may escape. I’ve never had them outside except to go to the car when we have vet’s appointments. I’m kinda afraid they would like it too much and would run out the door. They are so used to being inside only, they will stand at an open door and just lookout. I went out to get mail one day and the door kinda opened a little. Mellie just stood there looking at me and meowing like she was telling me to get back inside! It made me laugh!
JL, are you still watching Courtship or has it ended? Did she pick a beau?
Seaside How nice to see you here in this little nest. You know, I didn't even feel that earthquake. I just slept right through it. It is always disconcerting when you feel one, though. It would have been more noticeable to you as it seems it wasn't too far away from you.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of disconcerting, I spotted a skunk moseying along my back fence yesterday. I hope he doesn't make a habit of it.
Dianne Lucky you to order two fancy outfits and both actually fit and you like them both. My luck would be the opposite. Whichever one you choose, you'll look great.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for not going on the Cabo vacation with the family group. You'd feel annoyed with the drinking situation so why put yourself in that position? Hopefully, everyone will have a safe time while still having fun. Here's hoping no injuries for Tammy.
I leave for Oregon in the morning. My friend Jane is going to Seattle for her granddaughter's college graduation and leaves around the same time and on same airline as me. A friend of hers will take us to the airport. We both come home on Sunday but she comes in in the morning and I arrive in the mid afternoon so Jane is going to come back to the airport and pick me up. It's nice to have good friends. It looks like it will be raining for several of the days that I'm there but it won't be cold.
Barb I'm so glad you are back on the blog. Do you think you used to be on the web version and somehow got off of it? Weird.
ReplyDeleteI did continue to watch The Courtship until it's conclusion and she did choose someone. He was one of the frontrunners from the beginning, at least with her. By the end, her family really liked him, too. I tried to get info on their status now but it seems they want to keep their relationship private. I can't remember if he was from New York or New Jersey but he planned on moving to Seattle to be with her. It will be very different for him.
Mary Waving a wing at you. Tomorrow will be my first time flying since the pandemic. Although we no longer have mask mandates, I do plan to wear mine in the airport and on the airplane. No reason to take unnecessary chances.
ReplyDeleteJustLin, Oh how I envy you flying... somewhere...anywhere lol! I know you will be cautious!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels! Oregon will be beautiful even in the rain.
SacBarb. Zoie loves her buggy! It is made for any animal type under 40lbs. It's not made for children or heavy dogs. The bottom would tear out! It has a screened fold over cover that snaps in place. Some are zippered, but the fold over and snap is easier from all the reviews I read. I looked at quite a few. I think I got the best, for the price. Welcome back!!!
Seaside, Yay on being first on top-o-the-branch! Crazy about your quakes! I don't think I would get too used to them either! It has been cool & rainy here for the last few days. Do you take Gidget for walks when it is so hot? Zoie loves her ride! She looks so cute laying there enjoying the scenery :)
Dianne, Well poop on the no dog thing! Are any animals allowed there? I am surprised cats aren't sneaked (snucked?hee hee) in lol!
The all inclusive trips I have been to have always had a lot of drinking. I usually try a few of the local "umbrella" type drinks, but I really don't drink much anymore. I had a room mate once who drank terribly! She would come in late and talk my ear off. She was funny thank goodness! I let them have their fun as we don't worry about drinking & driving. She has a stressful job, so I am sure she really lets go on vaca lol! If she was a mean drinker I would have asked for another room.
I sure wish I could go on the TTT cruise! 7 days is too long to leave Jim with Zoie. Matt helps, but I know they would mostly ignore her :(
I had two open houses and a wedding the last 2 weekends. Lunch with friends today Funeral tomorrow, Dr check up & Chiro appt Fri., and an 80th Birthday party Sat! Gas is $5.19 here! Good thing most events are close!
