  2. I was so happy the Giants won! YAY!
In yesterdays comments Donnajean was talking about the commercials, here was my response....

have not read any of Sunday's comments, but I saw yours about the Bowl Commercials. I liked the squirrel one too, but I laughed most at the baby eTrade ones. The one where he spit up and then the one where he made so much money he hired a clown but then said he had underestimated the clowns creepiness! Laughed hard at that one!

  3. and another repost from yesterdays comments!

Good morning everyone! I don't know if anyone already posted this but MEK asked me to let everyone know that she has limited computer access at the hotel so she will try to just blog everday on her myspace. She would love for all her myspace friends to go and read her blog and leave her a little comment!
I'll post this again to today's blog when it goes up.

  6. Good morning!

Barbara in Wa, you rock! Way to go this morning! One of these days I will be first! haha

What a great game! We had a party here yesterday, all were having a wonderful time, and our power went out with about 5 minutes left in the game.

Half of our guests went out to their cars to listen, and my huz found a battery powered radio for those of us who stayed in the house.

It was funny, cause our whole neighborhood was dark, but there appeared to be lots of parties going on, and you could see people streaming out of the houses to their cars, to listen to the rest of the game.

You could hear the collective screaming when the Giants scored near the end!

I need to finish reading yesterdays comments, so will do that and be back later!

HI to MEK! I will write you a note today!

  7. Good Morning barbara and Lovey. Thanks night.owls.sb

I didn't watch the game but it sounded great.

Lovey - Did you get the American commercials or the Canadian ones? We have always got the Canadian commercials out here and they are so boring compared to the others.

I just talked to my family in Hawaii for an hour. You could hear the birds singing in the background. Sure sounds like fun.

    Congrats on #1.
    Morning ---
    Lovey.
    EBJ.
    Tinka--

CPGEM---Cograts on a great win/... Being a Redskins fan we were rooting for the Giants... You Know... they are in our division..
Hope you all have a good day...
Does everyone else miss MEK as much as I do!???

  9. GIANTS WON!!!! Loved it!!

Carol: That must of been some party yesterday!!! LOL

DonnaJean: Do not do too much or it will knock you back on your ass again. I am finally feeling well enough this week to go back and do my volunteer work on Wednesday. It took 3 weeks to get to this point!

BarbinWA: Yahoo! First! Thank you for the update on MEK. I will leave her a message later today! My favorite commercial was the Toyota one with the Badgers! LOL I guess I was the only one.

East Bay J: The power went out at the last 5 min. Holy Camoly! I bet there was alot of screaming about that!!!!

    Good Morning Lovey and Sacbarb!

Ok back to chores love ya guys!

  12. I love it when the underdog wins!!!

I watched the game as I Im'd a friend in the midwest. It was funny as all get out. I am sure if you had the transcript from that IM conversation it would have to be HUGELY edited!!!!

And....I was lucky enough to win the pool I was in.

    Carol: Congrats!

    Barb: Woohoo your first.

EBJ: Too funny, I was crossing my fingers here in paradise, as their have been storms and flash flood warnings all weekend.

Tinka: Your family must be in the only dry part of Hawaii today. I hope it stays that way for them...

OK my day just started here at work, so everyone have a great day.

Oh....and my pick is the Clydesdale/dalmation commercial.

    ReplyDelete
  13. goldie - Oh Sweetie. I meant to give you hope not torture you. Snowdrops always pop their little white faces up in February. I wait and watch for them. It doesn't mean it's spring however. We can have some nasty weather yet. It just means that 'spring will come'. Stay warm.

K-Girl - It had been raining when the plane arrived in Maui but it was beautiful there yesterday. They are having so much fun. I hope we can get some night owls there next year. How about Spring Break /09? That would be great and then maybe VIG could go because she would be on school holiday. It took my kids a long time to get there - about 12 hours but it was worth it. My other daughter flew direct but there were plane troubles so she and her companions took just as long.

Donna Jean - I am so sorry you were sick. That bad flu is a killer. I have only had it a couple of times in my life but that is enough for me. I have been getting flu shots now for 40 years and it helps. You can still get the flu but only if it is a different strain. Did you have a flu shot?

lynn d - I can't believe your power went out at the last 5 minutes. That must have been awful.

east bay j - Good Morning. Have a great day.

EastBayJ I laughed out loud at the badger. It was my favorite.

Barbara in WA I missed the baby e-trade. I would have laughed at that, too.

    DonnaJean Thinking of you.

  16. I just heard the funniest comment on The Today Show. They were discussing the peanut commercial during yesterday's game and someone said:

"The rubbing of nuts. It's just distasteful."

    ROFLMAO

  17. DonnaJean: Still wishing you all good things~!

Anyone who missed the superbowl ads and wants to see them again, go to myspace/superbowlads.

  18. Good afternoon, owls!

Carol, I'm so glad your team won! That was an exciting 4th quarter!

Tinka, Yea! You got to talk to your family. I'm so glad they're having a good time and you don't have to worry so much--at least until the ride home! (You shouldn't worry but I know you will!)

DonnaJean, you're sick? I hope you're better straight away!

Lynn D, you take care and don't get sick again!

I just got back from the vet. Luc has been sick all weekend, throwing up and not eating. It seems he has eaten a rock. I know he does that because he has thrown them up before. This time he wasn't so lucky. He's really sick. The vet gave me mineral oil to try to slide it out and if it doesn't come out by Wednesday, they will have to operate. My poor baby. Why do dogs eat rocks????

Well, I hear him up-chucking again--'m off to clean the floor ... for the 20th time in the last few days.

    Have a good day.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh Sandie - First Remy and now Luc. I don't know why dogs eat rocks but I know some big dogs are famous for it. I had a black lab and it said in the 'Black Lab' book to be careful because they will eat rocks. (I didn't know poodles did). Mine never did but my nephew's Lab had 2 different operations. They are expensive operations. I don't think they are dangerous ones but you will still worry if Luc needs one. Hopefully he will get rid of it 'the right way'. Let me know please.
Yes it was good to talk to my kids. My other daughter is staying with friends at another condo there so she should be phoning me next.

Amicus - I think my computer problem might be myspace and not Safari. I have been on myspace for 2 hours, going back and forth sending comments on many other people's pages and receiving and sending many messages. I have not been knocked off once. For the last 2 days the longest I have stayed on without being knocked off was 10 minutes. I hope it's fixed. Bon Oregon is having problems with myspace today and she will be getting in touch with you. I think they are solving problems constantly.

K-Girl - Thanks for giving out the link to the commercials. I was hoping someone would. I would like to see them. They don't show them in Canada. They show Canadian ads. I also didn't see the show so I really appreciate the link.

  20. Sandie:

Here's hoping that your pup passes that rock without any troubles. I had to take the rocks out of the yard with my English Cocker as she did the same thing as a puppy..... luckily she never ate big ones!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh Sandie---
I really hope the mineral oil works...
and your baby does not need surgery...

    ReplyDelete
  22. That was a very exciting football game. OMG.
I have given this information before but I will repeat it incase it can help one person more. If you get the flu then call in for a prescription of Tamiflu ASAP. Tamiflu will work within 48 hours perhaps 72 of getting the flu. Also request a prescription for zofran which will stop any vomiting. I use aspirin and drench myself with rubbing alcohol for fever.
    I wish you all well.

    ReplyDelete
  23. dreama, I smiled when I read your advice. If only it was so simple. Maybe in your neck of the woods- but not here. You have to drag your sorry sick ass to see the dr. Which of course exposes everyone else.
There is no such thing anymore as getting a perscription over the phone (or rarely)unless it is for something that is ongoing.
I do remember the days of calling in and getting an antibiotic for one family member becasue another had already been perscribed.

Tink- I will try to see the optimism in the flower!

Sandie, I really did not know dogs ate rocks. Don't fowl do that??
I hope your baby is ok and doesnt' need the surgery. Hopefully the mineral oil with work and things will just slide out....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks everyone for the congrats on 1st today! It's fun!

Sandie....I have never ever heard of a dog eating rocks. Oh my. I hope he passes it without any more trouble. Please let us know. My mom's cocker used to eat bees in the summer. Good lord she would get so excited running around eating the bees, which always ended up stinging her in the mouth and she would shake her head and then go eat another. Weird dog.

I don't remember a badger commercial. I will have to watch when I get home. Must have been when I was making tacos.

  25. Inner Peace.

I am passing this on to you because it has definitely worked for me and at this time of year we all could use a little....calm! By following the simple advice I read in an article, I have found inner peace....the article read:

"The way ti achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started." so I looked around the hosue to see all the things I started and had not finished....and before coming to work this morning I finished off a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine, the Bailey's, Kahlua and Tia Maria, my Prozac, some valium, my cigaretts and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freakin good I feel....You may pass this on to those you feel are in need of Inner Peace!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh Barb, I ROFLMAO at that! Damn, and you didn't save any to share?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sorry about the typos but I had someone very irratatingly sitting there waiting for me to leave for lunch even though she came back from lunch 10 minutes early. So I kept on typing but did not have a chance to proof it. Man....she gave notice but she is NOT leaving soon enough for me!

  28. Eastbay~What caused the outage?

Tinka~So glad family is having a ggod time. I'm glad they keep in contact with you.
A Hawaiian trip sounds grand to me!!

IBB~Yup I'm missing MEK too! I left her a comment on her myspace blog.

LynnD~ I'm glad you are feeling better. Don't over do!

Kahunogrl~ I won on our pool with that last touchdown. I almost pulled my hair out on that one!!

Carol~ I am so happy for you and your team!!

Sandy~ I will be keeping an eye on our Lab! I didn't know they did that! Best of luck with Luc.

Barb~ I will strive to reach my "inner peace" after my VFW Aux. meeting tonight. I always need a drink when It's over lol!!

I'm off to make some lasagna. I will leave a pan of it on the counter along with salad & garlic bread. Oh, and a couple bottles of wine. Later all...

  29. No rock yet!!

Thank you, Tinka, K-girl, ibebold, goldie, barbara_in_wa and mary/mi for your good "please pass the rock" thoughts.

Yes, apparently lots of dogs eat rocks, according to my vet. He said he has no idea why a rock is appealing to them. He said he has taken so many interesting things out of dogs--from socks to thongs! You all know I cracked up when he said that--I thought of you owls! He said he just recently took four golf balls out of a golden retriever.

When Luc was a puppy he chewed the remote and ate a "AA" battery so I guess a rock is no surprise. He has come inside with a frog in his mouth, too. And I thought poodles were smart.

The hard part is watching him go through this--he is so sad and sick.

I'll be back later--I'm on poop patrol.

  33. barbara - I bet you feel real peaceful. Good for you for finding an easy remedy for stress.

Sandie - Any luck yet. Maybe extra food might help. I don't know I am just guessing. Tia in her first year always ate plastic toys and straws but she threw them up luckily. Tango never did that. I guess they all know what they like.

Mary - That lasagna sounds good. I will have it with a diet coke. Thanks Hon. Would you consider an Hawaiian trip with a bunch of Night Owl's?

  34. Hi everyone..city is quiet again. We just had a big rain storm, but that's ok cuz everything smells so clean and fresh. It's 50 degrees though, so on with the slipper sox.

BIRDEE: I watched 'Pan's Labyrinth' with subtitles. It was a little distracting..and like GOLDIE said, you have to really commit yourself and hope your bladder cooperates! ;)

AMICUS: Praying for your dad to have a successful surgery and recovery. Also sending support and {{HUGS}} to you.

DONNAJEAN: Keep hanging on!! Glad you're feeling a bit better--that's moving in the right direction. Hello to Laurie Elizabeth!

BARB/WA: Thanks for the info on MEK. I subscribe to her blog, but haven't checked my Myspace yet-I'm going there next.
Congrats on FIRST you lovely owl! ;)

IBB: Miss MEK tons--but ya know, we have YOU here! HUGS to you both! :)

KGIRL: I'm with you--hooray for the underdog!! Probably cause I can soooo identify. ;)

SANDIE: It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that I hope Luc will be ok and not have to have surgery. Nikki plays with rocks, and I am always afraid she will eat one. She also plays with bugs--and I know she eats those. Then she gets sick as a..well..dog. I think it is all a big game to her.

SACBARB: PLEASE come help me clean out my closet! I can't seem to get motivated.

    LOVEY: Didja like it? Didja?

TINKA: Unfortunately, the only thing popping up in our front yard are weeds..I'd love to see a flower or two. Love you lots! Glad your My----- issues seem to be resolved..that's in case it's listening! ;)

LYNND: Your owl just cracks me up every day!!

HI's and Hello's to EBJ, DREAMA, JUST_LIN (and her Cowboy Stud), MARY/MI...anyone else I missed a HUGE Arizona smile and wave! I have to post this quick as the house is rockin' and rollin' with an approaching thunder storm. Have a good one everybody!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh checking in real quick and then I have to run errands!

Thanks Sandy and Marry me! I am hoping that the flu has left for good! The only good part was that I have lost 14 pounds total in the last 3 weeks! LOL I needed to.

BarbinWA: How did you get my stress relief receipe???

Sandie: I am hoping good thoughts for LUC. We have a lab shep mix. I haven't seen him eat any rocks but I have seen him play with them. I will keep an eye out from now on!

Kgirl: I am still amazed at how much money you won on football!!

    IBB: I miss MEK too.

Dreama: I agree with Goldie. I have an HMO. Please you don't drugs unless you see the doctor and that is if you can get an appt. within 2 days! A miracle. If it ain't a refill get in line. Then I would have to be throwing up a major organ to get Tamiflu! LOL

Tinka: Spring flowers starting to show!!! Hooray!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Regarding the Quote of the Day: Turtle, how will you get the pool home since you won it???

Thanks to all of you who sent get well wishes. Lynn D you were so right about this one being so bad. I felt like I had been hit by a fast moving freight train.

I am on Tamiflu, and so is Laurie, as a precaution. Can't let her get sick. We had to re-schedule one of her Cardic appt's until next week. She seems to be fine, so keep your fingers crossed, ok??

The sun is shining finally after about a month of rainy grey gloomy days!! I think I will go stand in the rays for a bit.

Love to all, Donna and Laurie

  38. Hi All, Carol, that was a GREAT game yesterday. I love football and was cheering for the Giants the whole time. I was so glad to see Eli win. There is just something about the Pats coach that I don't like..he is kind of grumpy too!! I like the Clysdale commercial the best. I didn't like the one about the battery charger guy...gross!!

EBJ: I would imagine your power company received a call or two yesterday. We had that happen to us once when we were getting ready to watch the Tonya Harding deal. We had enough time to run to a sports bar!

IBB: I was wondering the next time you bring pizza by, would you mind bringing some anchoivies? I love them!!

AMICUS: I sure hope your dad does well today for his surgery. Keeping you in my thoughts all day.

DONNAJEAN; Get well...it does take awhile. I am still not feeling myself yet (and I am not milking it Tina).

BIRDIE; I completely agree with you yesterday with the cable guy. I would have called the company too. I hate bad customer service. BTW, tell me if I am crazy but didn't you and I have some conversations about a blimp almost in your yard awhile back? Please tell me I am not making this up.

I finally went to an E/N/T specialist today as I can't seem to shake this dizziness. He scheduled me for some tests but gave me valium in the mean time..guess a little valium never hurt :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wanted to make a comment on the blog regarding secrets yesterday. Have any of you had someone just be chit chatting in conversation and then later you might mention the conversation and find out later that it WAS a secret? It has been something so small you would have never even thought it to be private. Talk about feeling like crap...

    ReplyDelete
  40. DIANE
Yeah, I know what you mean. My sister told me that I repeat stuff that I'm not supposed to sometimes and I'm like do what?? My sister likes to be so very private though and sometimes I might say something to a cousin or our parents and then find out that what I thought was trivial to my sister was a big deal. Just stamp the word clueless on my forehead sometimes. :0)

    ReplyDelete
  41. DianeDenver~ Did you say your STILL not"feeling" yourself? LOL! OK I'll get my mind out of the gutter!

My meeting was canceled. Our weather is acting very weird today. We had about 5" o snow last night. It is thundering lightening enough to drive our dog crazy! We are getting rain & fog to boot!

Tinkatia~ I would go to Hawaii with BBs in a New York minute!!

DonnaJean~LMAO!! I was slow on the uptake (pool)!

  42. Mary - That's one more for K-Girls luau next year, maybe spring break or another time. Anyone else interested? I need more than one person to hold my hand.

Zona - Are you tired or invigorated today? Maybe a little of both. I have my little snowdrops (I picked only 3) sitting on my kitchen window sill. They make my heart sing.

Lovey - I wondered if it was all across Canada that they showed the Canadian ads. I couldn't get on that site but I will try again.

Well I think myspace is fixed. It has been 7 hours and I haven't been knocked off once. Thank you myspace techies whoever you are.

  43. Well see DJ I am a crafty little Turtle.... 8-)

I simply find the nicest beach with the most amazing house perched just high enough off the ocean crash the party, plop in the pool and then wee in the pool.. I win it everytime!!!!

  44. Mary/Mi: You are naughty!! Here I am taking valium, feeling dizzy and you are "thinking" that I am having a party!!! NOT!!! You are such a loving and caring friend :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I should have added that my doctor does see me once every 6 months and has my blood work and all up to date and I have no health issues. Maybe that is why I can call in and ask for prescriptions. Last year I did not get a flu shot and I asked my doctor to write out a prescription for Tamiflu. He just asked me if I knew when/how to use it. I said yep. I live 3 hours from Mexico and I used to go to Mexico and get prescriptions. I'd make a list of anything I thought I might need and then they'd give me a 3 month supply of refills and just write out a doctor's prescription to carry back across the border. Health care costs in the USA are out of control, but I don't want to get started on that topic.
I just realized that I'm hungry. Lets eat. Who's cooking? I cooked 2 days ago. TINKATIA hmmm, I think it might be your turn to cook.

    ReplyDelete
  46. DREAMA: I think it is Tink's turn to cook. She always only brings the buns. Now.....I think Tink's buns are great but sometimes we need something to go with them...and remember Tink, we are all not getting weighed in at the end of the month!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ok Tink...I will help you. I will bring the butter and for happy hour...anchovies and crackers...any takers?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dreama - So it's my turn to cook. Since I no longer have my International students I really have forgotten how. I think someone else can have their turn and I will go and study some cook books. It's amazing how fast you can forget. I will make Hot Cross Buns for Ash Wednesday. I am famous for my hot cross buns too. They really are good.

    steamed broccoli
hot buttered corn on the cob
tossed salad or cole slaw? hmmm..

Someone else is going to have to make dessert. I have my hands full.

  53. Hey all..if you didn't get any dinner I am serving home cooked vegetable lentil soup, (with fennel to ease tummies and french red lentils..the veggies are all organic..broccoli, onion, carrots, green beans and a handful of corn. Glad for the buns, especially Tink's. Desert is either lemon sorbet or blackberries with a dash of whipped cream. Tonights wine is Kenwood Cabernet.

    All aboard?

More later when kiddo is in bed.

Amicus..lit a candle for you and
    Donna Jean today.

    pull up a chair...and a soup spoon.

  54. Dreama..you go girl! The soup will be warm for the late shift..butter will be soft for the buns or we also have ciabatta bread. HUNGRY NOW..dd is peering over shoulder as I write..I think she is hungry too after violin practice, homework and a day of middle school. She loves you guys..except when I take time away from "us". (She doesn't read much..I read to her so your secrets are safe) hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  55. Dreama - I am getting a lot of mileage out of my threatening to faint from hunger the other morning. Your dinner sounds delicious and so does nowmercy's. I will have both ending with lemon sorbet with whipped cream. MMMM Good.
This is such a nice place to be.

    ReplyDelete
  56. No rock yet ...

Thanks Zona, Lynn D, and Lovey! I do not have high hopes of this stone coming out because Luc won't eat a thing and hasn't since Friday morning. So, why would he have to poop, right? Unless the mineral oil just makes it slide out? Anyway, he's showing no signs of pooping. The vet said he is not dehydrated and looks healthy--that's why he wanted to give him until Wednesday to try to get rid of it. He just has the saddest eyes when he looks at me--I feel horrible!

DonnaJean, I will pray that you get better fast and Laurie stays well.

Amicus, I'm praying for Dad's surgery to be easy, too.

Found out why we had the power outage 5 min. before the end of the game yesterday, a car hit a power pole, so about 8,300 people in my city did not see the end of the game.

I'm sure that PG&E (our power co) got more than a few angry calls, even though it wasn't their fault.

They got the power back on in about 2 1/2 hours which was fast (for them).

I went to the vet clinic today to get special food for Paula, and I have to take her back on Sat. for more blood tests.

She seems to be doing good, except runs from me when she sees me coming with the antibiotics, or the iv bag.

    I miss MEK too!

I ended up working on taxes all day, so still need to finish yesterdays comments.

Thanx for the delish food today, dinner sounds yummy!

  61. Wow, I leave to cook dinner and come back and you gals are already up to your elbows in desserts.

  62. No we have gotten between 1-4 inhes in parts of Oahu, but the Big Island has been slammed! Alot of damage, mudslides and flooding.

Luckily Maui where Tink's family is sitting between the two storms and is not being affected like Kauai, Oahu and the Big Island is.

Bumms me out a lil bit, wanted to ride the motorcycle into work (mainly cause it's far less expensive when gas is $ 4+ a gallon) but I don't like riding in the rain.....

Thanks for thinking of me and Tink's family tho, much appreciated.

    j/lin ((((((((just because)))))))

  63. Hi Everyone!!
Sorry I've been gone all day. I missed you all.

Barb/wa, Congrats on being 1st today.

Carol, Welcome back! Glad you had some FUN!

Amicus, Sending out Good Thought's for your Dad & You.

Sandie, Sorry about your dog. I hope that stone passes. My Ruby eats stones too. So far I've been out with her when she picks one up. So, I've been able to make her drop it. I think they eat them because they taste salty to them. Remember the old story about "Stone Soup"? She also eats dirt. Not sure on a theory about that one though. have you tried to see if she will lick on a ice cube? That will help to keep her hydrated. She may not feel up to moving. Don't want to alarm you, I'm kind of a nervous nelly about this stuff. Not sure I would wait until Wed. I sure hope he will be ok!! ((((HUGS))))

Diane/denver, YES! It was me that had the blimp practically land in my back yard. I still think it was so neat to be so close to it.

Tink, I saw you said you watch DOOL, I do too. I like tht they have brought back some of the old cast. I get bored when it's all about the teenagers!

Hi Lovey, Eastbay/j, Mary/Mi, Dreama, K-girl, ibb, LynnD, Goldie, Just-lin, Zona, scirish, nowmercy, Donnajean,

Did I see Dawn/ncroc in area 51 early this morning? Or was that last night? ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  64. All right ladies, lets getting moving here. I can't go to bed until someone gets to 100.

    ReplyDelete
  65. iteach!!! hi!! I think everyone is beat from the game last night.

Not sure about all of them...but..I was a good girl alst night!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. East Bay J: I hope you get good news on Paula's blood work this weekend.

Birdee, I hadn't heard that about stones before, it makes sense. I know, I was surprised the vet said to wait but he said Luc looks healthy and is hydrated (he is drinking water, thank goodness) so he wanted to see if we could avoid surgery. He said surgery on intestines has its own problems because intestines are full of bacteria which can enter the dog's blood stream during surgery and could have fatal effects. He said they do everything they can to keep that from happening and he has never had it happen to him but he had to tell me that surgery is not the first option.

Thanks, owls, for your kind words about Luc. I'm off to bed--really tired.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I was too! It was my son't birthday last night, so I just did all his favorite things with him.

He is only five and watching football is not one of his favorite things, yet.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Think I amy make some hot chocolate...with REAL milk..

    ReplyDelete
  75. One time I watched them do that surgery on a little dog, to remove stones she ate. She had alot of them. I felt so bad for the pup.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Birdee does hot chocolate with real milk really make you tired?

I thought that it was a myth.

You know what could really make you tired? :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. iteach, yea it does..
    what makes you real tired?

    ReplyDelete
  78. ebj - Isn't it sad when we have to give meds to our cats? They are always so trusting until you start shoving pills down their throats and then they start to become afraid of you. I just hate it when my cats need meds. It's not so bad with dogs somehow. I hope Paula will be fine soon.

K-girl - Thank you for explaining how Maui is between two storms. I hope they stay in the good weather. They save to go on these trips to Maui every two years. It will be sad if they get washed out.

goldie - Thanks for your concern for them too.

Birdee - One day when we both have lots of time will you catch me up on DOOL? I watched it faithfully until my sister got sick and then I missed a lot. I just couldn't take much drama. Now I am ready to fill in the spaces.

Sandie - Let me know how Luc is doing in the morning. I am worried about him. I keep thinking of his sad eyes.

iteach - I was going to write you all day to tell you not to feel badly about missing a weigh-in and now the day is almost over. I am sure you will do well next time.

Dreamatexas - Thank you for the lovely dinner.

Nowmercy - The dessert was wonderful.

I have a 'Ghost Whisperer' calling my name.

  128. I am tired and all I did all day was play on the computer. I think I will shut it down for the night.

night.owls.sb - Did you see that I defined your word? Glad you are back.

iteach - Isn't GW fun? I have only a few episodes left and I am trying to stretch them out as long as I can. Zona might get Season two for me.
I am always leery of seeing lights. When my sister's mother in law was dying she said to the family in the room, "Hold that light straight for me". She was pointing to the bottom of the bed. She died a few minutes later so it sounds like it's true.

Birdee - I followed the Natalie story for a year but I didn't see what was on tonight. If you have time will you send the info to me on myspace? I am very interested in it.

I am off to bed. I will be saying prayers for Donna Jean, Amicus' dad and for all our friends with the flu. Take care. Love, Audrey

  143. TINAKTIA the stories about going into the light as one passes away I think are true. There is a pastor in Houston who died in a car wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He went into the light and to Heaven. He said that there were many people who greeted him and the most beautiful music. He beleived it to be Angels singing. He was pulled back to earth and back to life. He kept the story to himself for 2 years. He felt no one would beleive him. He has now written a book about his experience into Heaven's light and his grueling recovery. The book is called 90 Minutes In Heaven. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it.
