Hearts Live On!

my saturday night consisted of flipping
channels, and i am so glad i did, finally
on WE a movie that caught my interest

"Celine"

upon looking up the guide, my assumption
was correct, a movie about the life of
Celine Dion

i adore her, and really never knew much
about her life, so i was curious to learn
how this once little girl, from Quebec
became a huge star

she came from a musical family, they all
sang, and played instruments, her family
foundation was tremendous

and then there is Rene, a true love story
oh my goodness, it bought tears to my eyes
he was and is her one true love!

i saw her in concert at Madison Square Garden
several years ago, its a memory i hold dear to
my heart, when she sang the song "My Heart
Will Go On" i felt like i was numb, i remember
staring at her in awe, and wanting time to stand
still, her presence on stage is overwhelming
as i sat there, i saw Jack and Rose holding
hands, grasping so tightly, not wanting to let go,
and then the inevitable, she had to save herself,
she had to let go, but you knew their hearts went on~~

so i share with you, a video of one of my favorite
songs, from Celine Dion!

enjoy her amazing voice!

  2. Sorry, That posted twice. Good Morning want2sleep. How are you this lovely morning?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Now where did you go? Back to bed??

    ReplyDelete
  4. I love Celine. I have all of her CD's. To think she is the baby of a family of 14 and made it so big is a fantastic story.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think want2sleep said "Wake Up" and then went back to bed.

  6. It is going to be our second hot day of 2008 here in Victoria. We are going to make the most of it.

  7. Amicus - When you read the blog and see the problem I have by ending up with 3 slideshows instead of one, would you please help me?

  8. I am talking to myself so I will come back in half an hour.

Want shows up and wakes everyone up and then leaves again? LOL congrats on First!

    Hi Tinka!

I love Celine's music very nice to hear first thing this morning.

I am on the run again this morning. An Aunt called that lives in the next city over and we have a visitor from out of state another Aunt.

She is visiting from AZ so I have to get on the ball this morning and get ready to run in and visit with them.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!

  12. Good morning want(congrats on 1st)
Hi tink and Lynn, and everyone who comes in after me.

Just popped in to say hi- heading off to nephew's soccer game. He is playing in a tournament near here, and his folks are out of town this weekend, so Mr. Goldie and I are the family cheering section! Went to 2 games yesterday too. Is it awful to say I hope they lose so I don't have to go again this afternoon???

    have a good day Hooters!

  13. Happy Sunday!

    Goldie you are tooo funny!!

Congrats Want on being first today!

    Hi Tinka, Lynn and Shirley!

OK I'm spoiled now, Shirley what's for breakfast? :)

I am probably in the minority here, but I am not a big fan of Celine.

I like a couple of her songs.

And I loved Titanic! The theme song has to be one of her best.

I'm on vacation this week! Starting it off today with laundry, and tomorrow a mammogram.

We continue to have horrible air here, it's smoky and heavy. Have not seen blue sky in over a week now and it seems there is no end in sight. Great for the lungs!!

  14. Good Morning Shirley, Goldie, and East Bay J. So happy to see you at the nest this morning. I thought maybe everyone was at church or sleeping in or just plain busy.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Shirley - Tango still has a very sore mouth. They both miss the morning ritual of having a 'chewie' while I am on the computer. Tango is on soft food for a week.

Goldie - Have fun at the soccer game.

East Bay J - You must come here for a few days. Our air is so clear. It looks like we could walk to Mt. Baker. The mountains are beautiful.

  18. Oops I almost forgot to comment on the TOTD. Great blog Carol.

I love Celine Dion. The fact that she is Canadian is even better. Her voice is so pure. It doesn't matter what song she sings...it's how she sings it that gets you. Awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Morning Iteach! How was your family visit?

Thanks for the update Tinka. ((HUGS))

    ReplyDelete
  20. Good morning Iteach!

Shirley thanx for the good food, and as always the beautiful flowers!

Pinka I'm glad your baby is doing good. Lilly always had a sore mouth after her dental work too.

  21. Family Vacation went fine.

We went to the St. Louis Zoo, went to the top of the Arch, and played at the Children's Museum.

  22. Good morning! Thanks, want2sleep, for the wake up call! I heard it!

Hi Tinka, Lynn, Shirley, Goldie, EBJ and iteach!

Carol, I love Celine, too. Her voice is just amazing.

Thanks again, everyone, for the nice comments about the blog yesterday. Goldie, I'm glad it got you reading!

Tina, so glad you're enjoying that book!! I knew you would. I laughed out loud reading that book and my husband kept saying, "WHAT are you reading?"

    Thanks for breakfast, Shirley!

I'm off to the store--we're having some friends over to swim today. It's HOT!

  23. Good morning feathered friends!

WANT...congrats on 1st. I heard you all the way over here!

TINKA...enjoy your day in the warmth. Just don't get too overheated.

ITEACH...your vacation sounds perfect. I bet the kids had a great time.

EBJ...I hope the air clears up soon in your area. Same wishes for all the Northern CA. owlettes. Have a great vacation!

LYNN...enjoy your visit with your Aunts today. I love catching up with relatives when they come to town.

GOLDIE...have a few brownies before the soccer game...will bring a whole new perspective to it for you ;)

SHIRLEY...yummmmmmm! I woke up hungry again! I think I will just graze thru the breakfast buffet and sample it all!!

SANDIE...what time does the pool party start? If I leave now, will I get there in time? LOL! Have fun.

CAROL...I do enjoy the music of Celine Dion, too. She really seems to sing each song from her heart and soul. But the woman needs to eat something! She needs SHIRLEY'S incredible meals!!

    I hope I didn't miss anyone, and if I did, I apologize!

  27. So Maureen, how's the weather?

    ReplyDelete
  28. The weather is fine, thanks for asking! It is breezy and low 70's. A lovely day to get things done. If I get off my big fat ass and get started.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hmmm...not as much fun when I didn't even need to don marching attire. No steel toed boots, shoulder pads, helmet, knee pads, shin guards. nothing, nada, zilch, zero, zippo.

reminds me of the Billy Idol song...Marching With Myself.....

    ReplyDelete
  30. I guess I will go thru the buffet line again

    ReplyDelete
  31. Good morning! Want! I knew someone was telling me to get up (and congrats on #1 today)!

Morning Tinka! Glad the fur-babies are doing well. I'm sure Tango is enjoy the extra attention!

Shirley: Thanks again for the great breakfast! I'll have my usual cheese omelette, toast and hashbrowns (with a side of ham). YUMMY! I have a LOT of work to do today outside, so that will help!

EBJ and ITEACH: I am with you too. Never been a huge Celine fan. (But I'm sure many of you guys wouldn't care much for my musical tastes either)! ; )

MO: How's the weather?! We are having similar weather. I just hope the clouds don't open up this time while I am trying to get my yard work done! We had 4 different rain showers while I was trying to pull weeds. I never did get the lawn mowed because of the wet grass!

Saying hi to Lynn D, Goldie and Sandie (and everyone else who flies in later)!

Today is the last match for the Euro 2008 and it's Germany vs. Spain. I am hoping for Germany!

Gotta go! Need to get my work done so I can watch the match!

    ReplyDelete
  32. BTW: Iteach! I hope you read the papers. Some crazy man is on the lose in Sterling/Rock Falls! He killed an old man and robbed him. He also killed a Keefer man (hope he's not related to the Keefer's from our school)! The police can't seem to catch him! Katie has been so freaked out that she has been sleeping with me every night!

Make sure you LOCK YOUR DOORS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ok kids I am getting ready to run out the door!

EBJ I love to hear Celine sing but I really don't like watching her perform! Does that make sense? LOL

MO: Low 70's??? Sheeesh I just took a shower and I am already sweating and need another one!

Iteach: So glad you had fun on your family get away!

Ok have to go gather up my things will be back later!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hi EBJ and JENNIFER!

JENNIFER...be careful and lock your doors, too. So many sickos running the streets, it is scary.

    ReplyDelete
  35. LYNN..that makes perfect sense about Celine.

It was hot and sticky yesterday, so today is a nice respite from it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good Morning Iteach, Maureen, and Jennifer. I thought by the time I hung my wind chimes on my deck more owls would arrive. I know we have had this discussion before and some owls hate wind chimes but I am very considerate with mine. First of all there are no homes that can hear them because I checked. Secondly the first heavy breeze and I tie them so they can't chime. I collected one from each city I visited so they bring back a lot of memories. I usually hang them May lst but this year it was cold until yesterday.

Shirley - Thanks for breakfast. I will have hard boiled eggs, toast and tea. Of course I will take a chocolate Slim Fast and have it while I am visiting my mom.

Maureen - Thanks for your concern. I won't get too hot. By that time of the day I will be napping with my babies in my A.C. bedroom.

Jennifer - Watch out for that bad guy. Keep Katie close.

Iteach - I am happy your vacation went well. I always found that most times they did but sometimes -----

Amicus - Last but NEVER LEAST. Thank you so much for fixing the slideshow on myspace. I so much wanted to do it on my own but I was very happy to know you were just in case, and I did need you. Thanks again. You are wonderful.

We are off to sit in the sun with my mom. See you all this afternoon. Stay cool.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Maureen and East Bay - Great marching. You are going to be losing weight and getting strong.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey Maureen it's 14C here and showers. Well 57F. How come America never went metric? Whabbear? Hmmmmmmmm.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Happy Sunday!!

good morning- it looks VERY busy in here this am.!!!

Heck, it's afternoon for you east coasters!!!

Want2 - I was awake VERY early this a.m. - congrats on FIRST!!

Mr. MEK and I were at Target WAY too early - ended up being third in line for a Wii Fit!! - so - i feel I have put in a full day already!!

    Alot of marching going on!!
    :-)

EBJ - I can think of alot more fun things to do on vacation than get "squeezed"!! LOL

MO - thanks for the shout out!!

cpgem - I have always enjoyed Celine and love her life story!! I have never seen her in concert - would love to though!! thanks for sharing her with us today..

I need to go take a nap!!

I hope everyone has an excellent day!!

    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hey Tinka enjoy your time with your mother. Tell her someone from Nova Scotia says "Hi".

Maureen and EBJ don't you think the marching by yourselves is a bit "tedious" !?! Lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Tink: I LOVE wind chimes!!! I think that is funny that there are a lot of people that don't like them! My Polish friend (Mirek) that I've mentioned before does not like them either. In fact, he's know to have gone on someones roof top to take them down! LOL!!!

    Morning MEK!

Well, it looks like more showers today, so I don't think I'll get any more yard work done yet today! I think I will shower and get ready for the soccer (football) match today!

    Have a great day everyone!

ITEACH: I forgot to say "welcome back"! I also still have your senior picture (that you gave me to scan). Let me know when I can bring it over to you!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jennifer I almost forgot to tell you I will be watching the soccor match this afternoon and I am hoping Spain wins. They haven't won in forty years so it would be good for them.

    Hi Mek!

    ReplyDelete
  43. We lost the game :( and no I really didn't root for them to lose!
They played up in a 19 yr old bracket (they are 17) so it was impressive that they really played as well as they did.

It is 63 degrees here and cloudy! At the end of June- crazy weather.

EBJ- Son who lives in San Fran flew home last night after a week here in Chicago. He said you could tell the air quality was awful the minute he got off the plane. Also said his roomie told him things had been delayed all week and called off and it was a very strange time out there.

Brownies? Did someone say brownies??? ok- I'm in!

Mr. Goldie is firing up the grill (he got a new charcoal one yesterday)and we are going to have corn on the cob on the grill, porkchops and Jacobson Bros potato salad (NOT NEARLY AS GOOD as JODI's). Perfect summer food- if it felt like summer out!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have always marched to my own drummer....

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hey Shirley you and I are the tedious ones today! Dontcha just love it?

My parrot has gas today, he is burping and farting non stop.

    He is sooo funny.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks for letting me know Jennifer, I have not read the papers, yet.

Heck, it is probably someone I use to date.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hey Goldie your son is right, it's been terrible here and lots of flight delays.

Guv Arnold was on tv this morning and said there are over 1,000 fires buring in Calif. Not good for tourism or more importantly, our health!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Happy Sunday, Owls!!

want That was naughty of you to wake everyone up, then go back to sleep! LOL

Tinka How lovely that you have wind chimes to represent the different cities you've visited.

Shirley LOL at your tedious march! Thanks for another spectacular breakfast. I'll just have coffee until I wake up a little more.

Carol Thanks for the blog. I am not a Celine fan myself. I'd have alot more fun seeing Bette Midler's new show in Vegas. A hairdresser I sometimes use, recently returned from Paris and she went there specifically to see Celine perform in Paris. She has seen her before, in other cities. She and her husband and another couple rented a houseboat docked on the Seine in the middle of Paris. Beautiful, impressive views all the way around. She had a great time.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Happy summer Sunday everyone!

Nice blog Carol. I am with some of the others that I have never been a huge fan of Celine. But I am very proud that she is from Canada!

Another hot day in Victoria..no complaints here after the crappy weather we have had up until this weekend. But the fair skinned, red-headed Luke and I will be staying out of the sun today!!!!

Wishing you all a day filled with yellow!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Shirley Could you please add Shredded Wheat to the breakfast menu today in case Tina has to fix her hair? (see Area 51) LOL

    ReplyDelete
  51. Goldie when will the porkchops be done? Do did say we were all invited right? Better put extra on for Maureen. She already went through the breakfast buffet twice! By her picture she looks real hungry!!Lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. UPDATED BREAKFAST MENU

Special order of shredded wheat for tina.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Shirley, I do believe Spain WILL win...(but I still have to root for Germany...as I have German roots...among others)!

I'm glad you will be watching with me all the same! : )

    ReplyDelete
  54. 112....gotta go....LA Galaxy is playing and that means DAVID BECKHAM!!! YUM!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Happy Sunday Owls.

Carol: thanks for the Celine video. I love that song. A great way to start Sunday.

Want: You were the early bird, then you went back to sleep? LOL

Tinka: I hope your baby feels better.

Shirley: Thanks for breaky. I love crepes with apples & cinnamon.

EBJ: Are you going away for your vacation? Try to get out of this crappy air. It's going to be around for a while. LOL at your farting bird.

Iteach: welcome back. It sounds like you had a good time.

Sandie: Thanks for the great book list. There are many on there that I would like to read.

Mo: You weren't looking for me, but I am here anyway.

Jennifer: Are you cultivating your weed...no, wait, that's Tina.

MEK: I hope it is cooler in AZ today.

LynnD: Did your Aunt go to the PNW to get out of AZ heat?

Goldie: At least you can stay home and rest this afternoon.

J/L: Good that Custard saw the error of his ways. LOL

VIG: What are you and Luke doing today?

    ReplyDelete
  56. SacBarb Yes, why is it that we women have to constantly re-train the men? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  57. J/L: It is our lot in life. :0)

    ReplyDelete
  58. J/L: I am watching the Witches of Eastwick on Oxygen. Maybe I will learn how to conjure up the perfect man.

    ReplyDelete
  59. SACBARB...omg, I missed you on my list. I am sooooooooo sorry. It wasn't intentional, I swear. Glad you are here. {{hugs}}

SHIRLEY...I resemble that remark! However, pork chops sound damn good! I'll be waiting by the grill with my plate!

I am off to get my errands started. I know, it is already 3 pm! See ya later gators.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Ok, the chops, corn and tater salad are on the table- enjoy, I sure did!

Speaking of burping, farting pets... I have never before or since heard a dog belch with the gusto that our black lab Pepper does. She eats, drinks and then sounds like a 400 pound trucker letting loose. Her farts on the other hand are silent but deadly (most of the time).
But I remember when she was a puppy and sitting very pretty by my feet on the hardwood floor. She farted (loudy) and she jumped up and circled trying to figure out who put the firecracker up her ass. I still laugh when I think about it 4 years later!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hey hooters!

SacBarb nope not going anywhere this week. We have to clean up the other house. The lawyer says we "get it back" next Monday the 7th, in the meantime we are allowed to put all the stuff that was abandoned in the garage.

We are having new carpet put in so need to get all the junk out and into the garage, then get it rented out asap.

The power was shut off recently and the PG&E left a notice on the front door. They owe $3198 (yes that's three thousand one hundred and ninety eight dollars) for unpaid gas and electric bills.

We found out they were "growing" in the garage, had it all set up, and also in one of the downstairs closets.

Goldie, my Lilly (10 lb. Shih Tzu) burped so loud and so often, it was hysterical!

No one could ever believe the loudness coming from such a small dog.

My bird does some very nasty burps and farts. His previous owner taught him all the lovely bodily sounds he makes. He can be VERY graphic, if you know what I mean.

    ReplyDelete
  62. EBJ: So glad to hear you finally get to move that stuff out. There were a lot of rental houses here where they were growing inside the houses. No one really lived there, but they had the whole house filled with plants and a very sophisticated watering system. Apparently they were rented by a ring of dealers. I think they did arrest a few people.

Goldie: LMAO @ your puppy with a firecracker up her ass.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Shirley: Well, you must be celebrating! Germany did not play well at ALL today! : ( But, I do like rooting for the under-dogs too, so I guess it's OK that Spain won. They did deserve to! : )

    ReplyDelete
  64. 122...

OK...now I have to get moving...

    ReplyDelete
  65. Jennifer I thought it was a pretty good match. I don't get the chance to watch that much soccor so I really don't have any favorites. I was kind of hoping Germany would get an equalizer and send it to extra time. I enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  66. EBJ you don't have to pay the $3198 before power can be turned back on do you? They would still be responsible for that bill, right?

Goldie thanks for the chops, corn and tater salad!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Shirley, no the tenant is responsible for that bill thank god. The water bill is also their responsibility.

However, I had to pay their outstanding garbage bill to have that started up again. The city that the house is in has a deal with the garbage company, that if a tenant does not pay the bill, the homeowner is stuck with it.

So I am happy to pay the $80 rather than their 3k+ gas and electric bill!

We have learned the hard way and will be a lot more careful with the next person we rent to. It's been an expensive mistake!

They owe us almost $6000 in unpaid rent, and that isn't counting the damage to the house and the cost of cleaning up the mess they left.

The back yard and side of house have literally thousands of cigarette butts. It's so bad that we need to shovel them out.

I guess I should be thankful that they didn't smoke in the house.

I will try to remember my camera when we start cleaning up this week.

We're having enchiladas and Spanish rice for dinner tonight if anyone wants to come and join us!

    ReplyDelete
  68. ebj- I hope you saved some of the "growing" in the garage for our brownies!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi Everyone and thanks Mo for looking for me!! I love Celine and was lucky enough for my 60th bday to get a trip to Vegas from my husband and kids to see her in concert. It was so worth it! We saw Liza Minnelli that same few days. What a fun trip that was and a present on top of it all!

GOLDIE: When my grandson wrestles it is all day unless they don't win all of the matches...I feel guilty sometimes not wanting to stay the whole day myself!

EBJ: I was just going to ask you who taught your bird all those sounds..now I see you are blaming it on the previous owner!! :)

JUSTLIN: What a great trip your hairdresser was able to take. Do you think maybe you are giving too big of tips?

SANDY: Great blog yesterday. I have made a copy of all the books you listed. I really like Mary Higgins Clark. I have found reading this blog each day has become my reading material lately.

SHIRLEY: I have a great idea. Tina said her husband is out of town this week, so I think you can go and get the roses for our breakfast table tomorrow. Absolutely nobody will know and I can keep a secret!

I guess I will have to try and get in on the marches more often. My doctor wants me to exercise..I hope she will think it is as good of an exercise as I think it will be..especially when marching to the buffet table!

    ReplyDelete
  70. 129..I feel the inches melting away!

    ReplyDelete
  71. 130...I'm done...time for a rest! whew!

    ReplyDelete
  72. EBJ I think I watch too much Judge Judy, but I would really like to see these people in her court. I bet she would have a few choice words for them!

    Dianne-don't-tell-anyone-in-Denver, I think that's a great idea. Let's just keep it between us though...ok?

    ReplyDelete
  73. LMAO Dianne! You gotta start out slow!

Goldie they took all the "herb" but left everything else!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Shirley we LOVE Judge Judy and MR. EBJ said he wants to take them on her show once we find them!

I would be too embarassed I'm afraid.

We once saw a woman my mom and dad were friends with on JJ. She was suing a guy who she had lent money to.

    ReplyDelete
  75. EBJ - I really feel for you guys - thinking of you and just SO happy that you get your own house back.

jennifer - there are some really cool windchimes and some really not so nice ones - we are NOT allowed to have them in our community - HOA and covenants say NO to windchimes!!

Dianne - marching on - in Denver - yes, baby steps... we've been doing the Wii Fit all afternoon - I'm about to die!! LOL

    Goldie - :-)

if anyone didn't get any of Goldie's chops or EBJ's enchiladas - we have ribeye steaks, french fries and salad happening here!!!

This little gal is exhausted - who thought you could have SO much fun with a Wii!!!
    :-)

zona - when are you going to come down here??!!

I want to wave a wing to everyone today!! ((((WAVING)))

Hope everyone has had an excellent day!!
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Dropping off air fresheners because of all the belching and farting animals in here! LOL

Shirley and Dianne-the-conspirator-in-Denver Don't worry. We'll keep your "secret".

    ReplyDelete
  77. MEK Sorry, meant to wave a wing back at ya!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Dianne_delusional_in_Denver I don't think your doctor would count our marches as exercise. It couldn't have been fat melting, maybe you were drooling. Bwahahaha!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. okay.....i'm going to have to agree with Zona....it's a little warm in PHX!!!.....okay....it's fucking HOT!!!!!

  80. A late Sunday "Hiya Hooters"! Anybody still home? Geez, if I'd known there'd be so many dinner invitations I'd have stayed closer to the nest today!

We decided again to pass on sitting in the mid-90's sunshine to watch the Olympic Trials, since we can catch all the highlights at 7pm on NBC. Opted instead for an early hike and an odd little movie, My Blueberry Nights, starring Norah Jones & Jude Law.

There's been no news of major fires in Oregon, so I'm thinking the California haze has worked its way north now. It was very hot and hazy. Can't even see the foothills around town. More thunderstorms forecast for tonight. Last night's were SO refreshing, but (for MEK & Tinka) I was outside at 1:30am taking down windchimes! :o)

It's been fun catching up with YOUR weekend activities...hope the new week brings you happy moments and some fresh air!

p.s. as I was previewing this just now, the severe weather beeps on TV scared the crap out of me! The red scroll across the screen is telling me I'm probably done here for the day....wish us luck! :)

  81. Good evening all!

Well I thought yesterday was warm! Not! Today is worse! Even my aunt from AZ was having problems with our humidity! Our porch thermometer says 98!

I am melting! No seriously! My makeup is sliding down my face and even my ankles are dripping!

Had a great visit but I am exhausted!

I will check back maybe before I go to bed!

  82. Bon Batten down the hatches and be safe!

    ReplyDelete
  83. LynnD I'm sorry you are melting. I guess your thin candy coating isn't helping much.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Thanks J/L! I think the current storm's passing to the east of us, but there are more to come. Since I check MS more often than the tv, I even put a weather thingy on my profile. When the border changes from blue to red, I know it's time to pay attention.

*lol* @ thin candy shell...bet she's melting in Mr. LynnD's hands before he can get her near his mouth!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Just Lin - lol at thin candy coating!!

Bono - I don't mind windchimes - some of them I REALLY love- but we can't have them here - I hope your storms subside soon... and we have plenty of leftovers for you!!

Tina - don't get her TOO drunk!!
    :-)

It has started to rain - Mr. MEK is in the hot tub - I should NOT be on the computer!! bummer!!

We'll watch the Olympic trials tonight!!

    see everyone later!!

  86. OMG- what is it with the medical helicopters? 2 crashed together in AZ- my heart just goes out to everyone there. It still is raw here because of the tragic accident a few months ago.

    MEK- ;)

Oh, and windchimes- I HATE THEM! used to live by an old half-deaf couple who had tons of them. They never heard them, but I didn't sleep when there was a breeze. I grew to hate them...

    ReplyDelete
  87. Goldie - WOW, I had not heard about the crash - just looked it up on line!! tragic...

  88. Thought I better get a little marching in today!!

  94. To All:
I am heading to the Jersey Shore for the weekend on Thursday night. All the blogs for the four days are ready to publish, they should publish automatically. I do not have a laptop, I am hoping my nephew brings his so I can at least say Hi to all of you..

I want to thank a couple of owls who sent me blogs, a couple of weeks back, I asked them If I could save them for the July 4th week, and they said sure...

I spent most of my night, coping and pasting all the blogs, so I won't have to worry about doing so this week...

  100. Gosh darn it. I take a week end off and Shirley serves crepes which are my absolute favorite!!!!
You guys cracked me up with your burping and farting pets. My little Pekingese eats too fast and it never fails that she waits to come jump up into my lap and is right in my face when she lets out her huge belch. She always belchs on guests. She looks adorable but her manners need perfecting. Both of my Dobermans farted stinky silent huge bomb farts. It's so embaressing because it's like they hold in those smelly farts until guests arrive.
Celine Dion has an amazing voice but I'm more of a Cher fan as is Wabbear! Ask him about listening to Cher, Beavis & Butthead over and over.... That's our Wabbear for ya! :0)

  101. CAROL - You have gmail!!! Oh, and I love Celine! Especially the song from Titanic.

  106. OK, I know I have not been here in the comment section all day....

What the heck did I miss.

    Is Tina at Zona's?????

    ReplyDelete
  107. I am off to bed but first I would like to explain that my wind chimes are not out where the wind can start them 'chiming'. They are hanging from the ceiling of a deck that can have open sides or it can be completely closed off. On a warm sunny day they are very still and reflect the sunlight. If a breeze comes up or if it rains the deck is closed off. My wind chimes are little memories of each place I have visited. The deck is outlined with beautiful flower planters and coloured lights. I practically live out there all summer. I love it.
    Good Night All.
