We Are Here~~

Alstromeria, The Friendship Flower

it is quite amazing how our emotions
are constantly up and down, how each
day is so different from the next, how
the need to reach out in words is just
so profound

yesterday was quite emotional for all
involved, yet it really effected two very
special people the most, the situations
were different, yet the same, the sadness
that they bore, we felt just the same

i could have literally reached thru this
computer and grabbed on to Mek and
Glynis and held on, my words would have
been simple "we are here" three simple
words, however so strong they are

in life there are times when we just feel
we can't do it anymore, it is just to hard,
we loose the fight

once in my lifetime, i was ready to give up
i just could not fight anymore, i told this to
"him" and he replied "you don't have to fight
anymore, i will do it for you, for the both of us"

and he did!

so i say to all:
its ok, you don't have to fight, we will
fight for you!

today is a new day, look to the sky
breathe, let go, "we are here"

  5. So very true. It is a new day and I hope the sun is shining for everyone. Yesterday was very emotional for all of us. Mek and Glynis were always on my mind. So was my little Naomi and family. I was so worried about their driving over the Malahat to see me and then didn't want them to leave. I was so relieved when I knew they were home safely I was too exhausted to get back on the blog. It was some day.
I know this morning will be hard to Mek and Glynis and my heart goes out to them. Yes Carol I would like to hug them too.

  10. Carol - I will put my pictures up soon.
Last summer my friend Brian was here at a party when word arrived that his mother had died. We made a circle around him and prayed with him. I feel we did the same thing for Mek and Glynis yesterday. Yes we are here.

  11. Congrats on 1stTinka!
Morning everyone. This was sent to me so I thought I would share it with everyone. Have a good day. ((HUGS)) to Mek and Glynis.

    Girlie Wisdom!

Women over 50 don't have babies because they would put them down and forget where they left them.

A friend of mine confused her Valium with her birth control pills... she has 14 kids but doesn't really care.

One of life's mysteries is how a 2-pound box of chocolates can make a woman gain 5 lbs.

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

The best way to forget your troubles is to wear tight shoes.

The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you are doing, someone else does.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends.

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Sometimes I think I understand everything, and then I regain consciousness.

I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knicker's.

Amazing! You hang something in your closet for a while and it shrinks 2 sizes!

Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like...'You know sometimes I forget to eat!' ....Now I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name and my keys, but I have never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat!

The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing and then they marry him.

I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That's my idea of a perfect day!

SEND THIS TO 5 BRIGHT WOMEN YOU KNOW AND MAKE THEIR DAY!!!
    LIVE SIMPLY.....LAUGH OFTEN....LOVE DEEPLY

    You are so right...
three simple words to MEAN SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Good Morning Ibebold. What is your weather like where you are?

Carol - Please send us some of that heat. We are so cold here for June it is unbelievable. We have never had the furnace or fires going after April. The furnace with all that expensive oil in it is pumping out the heat here this morning. It is 50 degrees outside and I don't think it was much warmer in the house. Oil has doubled in price this year and I tried wearing more clothing to keep from putting on the furnace but I gave up yesterday. I had to have the house warm for the baby. Now that I have it on I am just not going to think about the cost.

  25. I told my "babies" I would feed them when I got to 25. I have never made them wait before. I will have to make it up to them.

I would like to thank all those sweet owls who left comments on the blog and myspace for my my Naomi's 1st birthday. I am printing them off and putting them in a scrapbook for her along with photos of the picture comments that came in. I know she will appreciate them some day.
I must feed my little ones and get my Tropicana. I will be back in ten minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Jennifer - Before I go I have to say how beautiful you are. I didn't have a chance to say that after your identify was announced. I can see where your daughter Katie got her beautiful looks. I will be writing you later.

  27. Wow, I was # 30 too. I had better leave some room for others. See you all later.

  28. Good morning~

Carol~ I love the blog today. I would like to share what my mother would say to me (after I was grown) when I would have a really sad or unpleasant day. "Just go to bed and all will be new and different tomorrow". She was pretty much right. I guess there is a reason someone wrote the song 'What A Difference A Day Makes'

Congrats Tink on first and looking forward to seeing Naomi's birthday pictures. Stay warm...what a weird thing to be saying in June.

ibb~My dear friend...we keep missing each other. Hope you are doing well and staying out of the bears way.

Shirley~OMG...the words you shared are just so true, see what you younger Owls have to look forward to? You're so funny.

Well, I've come to the conclusion that the majority of the Owls live in an Easy-Bake-Oven. Damn, it's already getting hot this morning.

  29. Good morning Mek...

  35. Mornin' ibb,

Are your beautiful flowers doing okay with all this heat?

    ReplyDelete
  36. cpgem - wow - what a POWERFUL blog.

I am literally in tears again - but in a good way... Yes, "we are here" - and, boy, that couldn't have been more real yesterday..

cpgem - I have "been there" when i just didn't feel like I could go on - but yet, I'm still here - so i must have a purpose in life. As do we all!!

Ronnie - no, not much sleep again last night.....

Has anyone heard from Glynis? She has been heavy on my mind...

  40. OMG, ibb...did you say "Pull"?

Mek~ Misery loves company, where the heat is concerned?

  41. Good morning!

Hey, Pinkatia is first this morning, yay for her!

Carol your blog was really good, and it's true, you may feel alone, but there are always people who will help you and be there for you.

MEK, new Bachelorette phrases to count:

    "Putting youself out there"
    "Here for the right reasons"

She used those almost more than she said AMAZING.

I was shocked she sent Fred home. And surprised at sending Brian home too.

She sure is a drama queen sometimes.

Shirley, thanx for the laugh and the breakfast this morning!

Hope everyone has a nice day today!

    ReplyDelete
  42. The flowers are a little wilty!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Mornin' ebj~

    ReplyDelete
  45. Good Morning Mek, Ibebold, Ronnie and East Bay J. Nice to see you filling up the nest.

Mek - I agree. A nap for you today. Be good to yourself. I was worried about how you would feel when you woke this morning. I always think that is the worst, waking up after a tragedy and a wave of emotions rolls over you in those first few seconds. It is overwhelming. ((((Hugs)))))

    ReplyDelete
  46. I can't believe it. I was #50 today. This has to be a good day for me.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Morning Glories!

Wow the nest is jumping this morning!

Congrats on first Tinka! I thought you would be sleeping in after the big girl bash for Naomi last nite.

Yes it is a new day. A day to try to get it right or at least to make an attempt.

Shirley I think this is the one that applies to me from your funny post this morning!

Sometimes I think I understand everything, and then I regain consciousness.

Bebbi: Clean up this TP mess! Good lord girl do you know how much that costs! Wait I will clean it up and save myself some bucks at the Grossry store.

Ok I am on the run this morning it is food pick up day. I will try to be back this afternoon.

    ((((Hugs)))) to MEK and Glynis!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've got to jump in the shower and get on with my day. Need to get my son and son-in-law's father's day cards taken care of.

    Have a good day everyone.

  49. Good morning to my favorite M&M...

I just love being greeted by your morning glories. I'm glad Mek didn't eat you.

Have a good day and wishing you many smiles.

    ReplyDelete
  50. EBJ - I had the utmost respect for Fred last night - he made a very gentlemanly exit.. and YES, I was bummed that Brian went home - I really liked looking at him - I know she didn't connect with him - and he was right - he bonded with the guys, cuz that was the only "one and one" time he got!!

and I agree with you and Ronnie - she does like the "you really put yourself out there".... :-)

    Good morning, Lynn D..
Tinka - congrats on FIFTY also!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. In Tucson today, they will be holding the funeral service for the Police Officer that was gunned down last week.

All local channels will broadcast it live - I believe I am going to find something outside to do today as I don't think I would be able to watch.........

Zona - if you are wondering why all your flags are at half mass - Gov. Janet ordered it done state wide for Officer Hite.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Mek - Yes 25 and 50. I will choose either one of those for my age. Both sound good although I don't think I would want to be 25 again. It's too much work being 25. I think that was the busiest time of my life.

Ronnie - I agree with your mother. "A new Day" does make a difference. I was so full of different emotions yesterday I was like a yo-yo. Today I feel strong and determined to live each moment with enthusiasm.

Shirley - Thanks for breakfast. I have missed my 'Shirley Breakfasts'. I will have blueberry pancakes, bacon and tea please.

East Bay J - Maybe I should try watching Bachelorette. I have never seen it but you make it sound interesting.

Lynn - I just had a visit with Naomi yesterday. She had a party on Saturday with all of her mother's friends and my ex and his wife. I wasn't there. We are having a party for her here this week with all my family. I am really looking forward to that. One can never have too many birthday parties I always say.

I am jealous listening to so many owls who have heat. I think I need to go and stay with my daughter Zona for a week or so to warm up.

VIG - Looking forward to you coming home. Please phone me on the weekend.

Zona - I am off to myspace to write you.

    ReplyDelete
  53. MEK: Was officer Hite married to Shere?

Sorry... thought a little attempt at humor would be good this morning...

Hope Glynis checks in soon... and congrats on being 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Tink!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Good morning Hooters! Congrats on 1st Tink.

I loved your blog today Carol. I really never thought that I would care so much about people who I never "met", but I really do.
I also feel the love sent my way too.

I believe the motto of our little nest should be "you are not alone, I am here" from this day forward!

Shirley- breakfast and a chuckle, what a great way to start the day.

I hope everyone has a great day. Busy at work, but I'll check in later.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Good Morning Whabbear and Goldie - The nest is a busy happy place today. I love being here. Yes Goldie, "you are not alone, I am here" should be our motto from now on.

Whabbear - How are you feeling now? And how is Huz feeling? I would like an update please.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I have been gone a half hour and the nest has emptied out. I am marching alone Mek.
I am off to have breakfast. Then I have a ten o'clock hair appointment. I don't know where these grey hairs have come from but I will come back looking gorgeous ( I wish ). See you all this afternoon. Good Morning to all owls yet to arrive. Remember our motto, "You are not alone, I am here". Have a great day everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The last few months I have thought a lot about whether I should be alive or not. I'm not looking for sympathy I am just sharing my thoughts. I am still here so I guess that says something. I just wonder if I had never been born would the world be any different? I usually answer no.

Thinking about Chris yesterday I realized how much one stupid act (drinking and driving) has dramatically changed life for so many people. Not only the driver and their family and friends but also Chris's family and friends. And what about all the people who will never get to meet Chris and share what Mek was so privledged to have shared with her.

Jennifer left this comment after reading one of my poems on myspace - "You never know how you affect someone else or the impact you have on their lives (no one does)." This place...this nest...this blog...whatever it is has made an impact on me. You all have made an impact on me. Almost every day I come here to see what adventures you are all on. The banter back and forth between the hos and the crackwhores make me smile. The weather reports, the movies, books and TV reviews, the travell updates and commentaries, the husband and children woes, the good, the bad, the ugly...all of it. It's like a soap opera only real and I am part of it. I can interact whenever I want to. I can provide a cyber breakfast for everyone or a smile with my sunshine happy face.

Today I feel like I matter.

Off to make a pizza and watch some soccer. BBL.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Shirley - you DO matter and it's important that you have realized that...

    It's a new day!!

I am going to meet an acquaintaince for a day of paper crafting...... I have NO idea what I am going to work on - but I've got my bag packed up and off I'm going - it will be really good for me to get out and take my mind off of life for a few hours!!

    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Good morning sweet owls.
I have been unable to post the last 3 days due to bad weather. Last night I managed to jump into myspace for a few minutes before being knocked off again. Our skies were fine, but neighboring states weren't.
I may not be able to post before I leave for Europe(Italy & France). I wanted to let you all know that I will try to send an occasional email to Carol, as hers is the only email addy I have. I'm not sure If I can connect to myspace overseas. Tina may be able to answer that.
As you may guess, I have a lot to do today, mostly making sure the men folk I am leaving behind have food so they don't starve to death before I get back! LOL!!
I picked fresh strawberries and made jam last night. Not too smart on my part! I had a terrible back ache all day! I new the strawberry season would be gone when I got back, so I kinda sorta had to lol!

MEK~You are still in my thoughts. I love yah girlfriend.

All of you..be gentle to yourselves. Life can be challenging I know. I have lost Mom ,Dad and most recently my friend Mike. I am taking them with me on this trip. I will hold all of you in my heart too. :+) au revoir!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Good Tuesday Morning Everyone!

SO much to do, but had to stop in for a bit, especially to share a hug with MEK and Glynis. Glynis just might be shoveling snow this morning! I awoke to bright June sunshine. The only problem is it's 45 degrees! And our Glynis lives at the base of Snoqualmie Pass where it is snowing. But, I can't complain after watching all the floods, tornadoes and oppressive heat elsewhere. Word for the day....Moderation....please?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Shirley~ I couldn't leave without telling you that "you matter to me".
When I get "down" I go outside no matter the weather, and look around and marvel at mother natures great gifts. Everything from the sky, blade of grass, sounds around me etc. and the fact that I can hear, feel, & see them!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Glynis~{{{{HUGS}}} We are here.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Shirley~

You DO matter so very much and I'm glad you realize it. We're all in this big ole world together, and when we need to 'lean' for support, we need to do so, and not hold back. I firmly believe that God gave us arms, not only for daily tasking, but for giving comfort to one another. We were not created to live life alone, and if loneliness arrives, whether emotionally, or physically, reach out.

I think we all learned so much about ourselves yesterday, and re-counted our blessings because of the gifts and lessons given to us from the ones who have, or will be, meeting our Creator. That's quite a legacy to leave behind the knowledge to live each day to the fullest, which makes each of us richer than any wealthy Fortune 500 person on the list.

I'm offering you my hand, once again, because I love you, my sister.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Mary~
Have a wonderful trip. When you arrive safely and start unpacking, look in the left hand corner of your suitcase and you will find all our love that we tucked in there for a safe trip.

Have a great time, and we'll be here when you get home.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Tinka~~Grats on 1st. You've certainly turned into quite the marcher.

MEK~~Hope you have a wonderful and crafty day!

ITEACH~~Healthy hugs to the whole famdamily!

Shirley~~Nothing better than an early-morning chuckle, unless it is to finally 'hear' you say "Today I feel like I matter." What a great new mantra for you!

Mary/MI~~Enjoy your adventure! Je parle francais, un peu. M'écrire une lettre...S'il vous plaît Envoyer des photos !

  69. We really have some pretty Owls in our nest. Gorgeous thick hair, and those lips are just ready to say something funny.

Even though her head wasn't pointed back then, I think this is our own precious ChickenOwl, Birdee.

    Am I right, am I?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Could it be a little 'Birdee' up there?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ronnie~~JINX, you owe me a Coke! (actually, could you make it a Diet Pepsi?)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hi Bon, Goldie, and Amicus.

    Coke it is, all around...

I just love this guessing game.

  74. Hi Barbwa~

Now I have to go back and look again. Tina? Could be...

    ReplyDelete
  75. For once I really have no idea...but from the hint i will say Birdee!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well, one thing's for sure...those lips are ready to say something profound or funny.

It really could be Tina, but I'm going to stick with ChickenOwl.

Barb~ Do ya think Eunice has a graduation picture, too? I'd like to see one....

  77. Good Morning Owls! I am here, I am here.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes... and to those who sent me cyber Black Eyed Susans on MySpace! I loved them. It is so nice to know that you are not alone.

My husband came home from work yesterday so that I could just take it easy and go out for lunch with a girlfriend. He is just the best!!

I talked to my daughter yesterday after school about her grandpa and she sobbed. I ended up taking her to talk to our pastor and good friend. While we were talking, there was the brightest rainbow that appeared outside the window. Very cool! Then we got home and the power was out. So we all sat around and talked and then snuggled in bed. It was nice, but I was worried that the phone call about my dad was going to come thru and I wouldn't be able to get it.

This morning I phoned the hospital in B'more... and Dad is still fighting. Now I know where my stubborness comes from (as if I ever had to wonder!) I guess it just isn't time yet.

Thanks again for all of your prayers. I am doing much better today. However, I know the ride is going to have highs and lows.

    Tinkatia~ Congrats on 1st!!

    ReplyDelete
  78. OK, now that made me feel a little happy too! hee hee

    ReplyDelete
  79. I just deleted my guess, because I'm apparently wrong again. No more guesses from me! I would make a terrible crime witness, because I'd pick the wrong mugshot. ;)

    Hi Owls!

    Have a great day!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Glynis~

I'm holding your Daddy and your family in my heart. You're right, he really is a fighter, and is he ever setting a good example of his strong manhood.

    Love to you...

    ReplyDelete
  81. OK....I was trying to read the comments backwards from 100. I think I should actually go read the blog and then read the comments from 1 down! I just got so excited when I saw the pic today!

And good morning back at ya Ronnie and everyone else!

    ReplyDelete
  82. OK, I just went back and read all of your posts from yesterday and it brought me to tears. Thank you all for such care!

Now my nose is running. Great! ;0)

BTW, yes it was snowing this morning at Snoqualmie Pass, but I live about 25 minutes from there and at a much lower elevation. So I just have lots more rain. Considering how hot it is everywhere else though, I'll stay right where I am. I have a sweater on and the fireplace is ablaze behind me. I love the PNW!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Amicus~~What's with the delete?? You might be the only one who's right so far! And isn't that why it's called 'guessing'? I second-guessed my choice, thinking it might be Sandie??? But, the cheekbones still say Birdee, so--right or wrong--I'm sticking with that!

((Glynis))~~I just heard that Willamette Pass near me is re-opening for snow skiing!!! ENOUGH ALREADY.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Shoot, I need to change my vote.

One more little thing I wanted to share, which I'm sure you might know is...

We care about You, and not just your breakfast making capabilities.
It's all about you, and your meals are just a bonus.

    ReplyDelete
  93. BonO: I made the mistake of checking Goldie's MySpace page AFTER I posted my guess. We were in high school at the same time, and long bangs weren't the hairstyle trend then. That's why I don't think it's Tina either. :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Wow, we have a very busy nest this morning. I haven't read the comments yet because I think that picture is Tina and I don't want to be influenced by other guesses. Whoever it is, she is beautiful and I wish I had her hair.

    Off to read the comments

    ReplyDelete
  95. Tinka....Soooooo cold down here to. One of our weather gals kept calling it Junuary! So funny! She was having to report snow in the passes! In June!!!! She kept saying January, and the anchor was lauging at her saying it was June not January, so she said well then it's Junuary!
This morning it was raining and 46 degrees. IN JUNE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I'm sticking with Tina. I told her once that I think she looks like Emma Thompson, the pretty version of Nanny McPhee!!!

  107. Good Afternoon All My Lovely Owls and Owlettes!

Carol, what a wonderful blog today. It touched home quite literally.

I want to send my love, prayers, and support to Glynis and MEK. I wish I could have posted yesterday, but Miss Laurie is sick again. Just a stomach virus, but she does not deal well with illness of any sort, and needed me constantly.

So, I am here today to share with all of you in sending that love and support to our dear friends in this time of their sorrow and pain.

I hope you both can remember the good times, the laughter, and the love you had with both your beautiful friend, and your father.

Memories are the one thing that will remain with us, forever.

I could tell by both MEK's beautiful blog, and by Glynis' post how very much love you shared with your loved ones.

I so enjoyed the pictures of Chris. You could tell just by looking at her lovely face what a kind, gentle and warm woman she was. My thoughts are with her family also.

I too, have experienced the horror of a drunk driver killing loved ones, first my dear Mother-in-law, and then 4 yrs later, my husband. Such needless and senseless deaths.

Shirley, my dear friend, you matter SO much!!! Not only to each of us here, but to yourself! You are such a dear woman. I was so happy to see you posting more positive thoughts. I so hope you will continue believing in yourself, and keeping up with whatever therapy is aiding you to overcome the negativity. I care about you so much!

On lighter subjects, I see many are watching the Bachlorette. I just couldn't get into it this time around. I did catch Nashville Star though, last night. I wasn't happy with Charley getting the boot so soon, when a few of the others were really bad, in my opinion. I thought he was pretty good! This does look like a fun show, and Laurie was enjoying it, in between bouts of getting sick! The girl at the end was AWESOME! I could see her singing Wynonna songs, and the Bonie Raitt song was fabulous!

And, I taped the Army Wives Marathon on Lifetime and have been catching up with the first season. It is a very good series, and I am looking forward to Season Two which just started.

Well, as usual I typed a novel!
Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon and evening, and Congrats to Tinka on # 1 today. You must have been up very early!

Peace and Love to all, Donna Jean and Laurie Elizabeth

  108. I'm back and I've read all the comments and now I think Ronnie may be right...It does look like Birdee...oh hell I don't know.

Shirley: LOL @ the girlie wisdom. Remember girl, we love you and you do matter to us.

Tinka: You are the marching queen today and congrats on #1 too.

    MEK: Paper crafting is a good distraction, I hope it works. Congrats on 75. {{{HUGS}}}

    Mary/MI: Have a great trip.

Glynis: {{{HUGS}}} to you too and congrats on 100.

LynnD: LOL at picking up the TP. Are you going to re-roll it or just keep it in wads???

Goldie" I love the new motto for the nest.

EBJ: I got really tired of hearing those phrases last night. And like anyone would tell her if they were NOT there for the right reasons! She is a drama queen all right. I was hoping she would send Twilly home.

Our last sorority meeting is tonight and I have stuff to get ready for the meeting, so I'll try to check back in later. Waving a wing at all the owls.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Jennifer - You are welcome. I loved that picture.

Barbara - Isn't this cold weather becoming annoying? Usually we have had 2 months of warm weather already. I guess I have to remember what others are going through and be thankful our houses aren't floating down the river. I agree with you about the picture too. I think it's Tina.

Amicus - I know what you mean about not being a good eye witness. My record of guessing is in the bottom 10% I think. Tina is always right and she hasn't guessed yet.
    hmmmm!!!!!
Whoever it is you are beautiful. I will check back later and see if I am wrong again.

Glynis - My prayers and thoughts are still with you.

    ReplyDelete

  132. TINA - Do you think your Mom will charter a flight for me to go to dinner in Hawaii?!!?

    ReplyDelete
  133. Tinka - you bring a smile to my face. Trust me, I would rather just lay down and pull the covers over my head - but I made a promise to myself and Chris to make everyday a NEW day!!

SO - I'm trying to do that!! Heck, i don't think it has really actually HIT ME YET!!

    :-)

  134. OMG - THe news just has the FINAL CALL for Officer Hite - crap - now I'm bawling..

    ReplyDelete
  136. I want to hitch a ride with you Jodi! Beam me up Scotty..

    ReplyDelete
  137. Mek - Well you certainly did well today. You will find the days will vary. Just when I thought I had my grief under control when I lost my sister I would "hit the wall" again. It is two years this summer and I still have bad days. Fortunately I can see more beauty around me this spring than last. The pink blossoms help.

    ReplyDelete
  138. LMAO - just reread my post.

what in the hell is JUKE food!!

    I meant JUNK food!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  142. Owl has been revealed! and guess what, you will never guess...ok I will tell ya...She is amazing

    ReplyDelete
  143. Mek - Me too. I wanted you to describe juke food to me. I thought it must be American. I love breakfast for dinner. Bacon and eggs at night tastes much better than in the morning. I wonder why that is?

I just looked up the word "juke". It is a verb which means dancing to to the music of a jukebox. Now I have learned something today.

Barbara - I agree. That can't be Birdee. I think Tina is throwing us a curve ball. She had to because she is always right. She couldn't say. "That's me". Now just watch Tinka be wrong again.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Thank you everyone for all your words of encouragement today and everyday. Mek, Mary, Ronnie, Bonnie, Goldie, Dreama, IBB, EBJ, Barbara, Jennifer, Carol and if I missed anyone I'm sorry.

Iteach I don't really have a favorite in the soccor tournament. I don't get to watch it enough to really know all the teams. The second half of the Spain/Greece match today was quite good. A lot more action than the Russian game earlier. Do you have a favorite?

Goldie I saved you a piece of pizza...it's in the frig.

Yesterday our temperature was in the mid 20's (80's F) with the humidity making it mid 30's (90's). Today I don't think it got past 12 (60F) and I had to close my kitchen window.

Mek I'm glad you found a little distraction today. ((HUGS))

Glynis I know how difficult this time is for you. I lost my Dad 8 years ago. I'm glad you got to talk to him yesterday. That was a wonderful thing for the doctor to do. (((HUGS))) for you and your family.

Ok I'm going to check out the basketball game. I hope LA wins.

Mary I hope you have a wonderful trip.

  145. I could just delete my comment since it was written after the name went up but I won't. It would ruin my record. I am sorry but Birdee that doesn't look like the pictures in your myspace. Did you steal one of Tina's pictures just to fool us? Anyway you are lovely my dear.
