Never Ending Fib

thank goodness its Saturday, i am free for a
whole day, i can do as i please, with no worries
of my office, i can get out and about and smell
the weekend air, see the trees in their greenest
of green, and watch the flowers sway in the breeze

that all sounds so good, however it is going to
rain today, i so needed the sun to shine
today, that i just made up a perfect Saturday
i somewhat fibbed, which will bring me to what
is on my mind

today, my manicurist looked very different to me
as i stood there and watched her, i realized it was
her hair, it was very long, she does not have long
hair, her hair is medium length, i stared in disbelieve
and asked "what did you do to your hair" she said
"oh, i got extensions, don't ya love them" I replied
very quickly "oh, extensions, you hair looks beautiful"
she then went into a 20minute description on how
they put the extensions in, i listened as much as i
could, however all i could think about was how
much I did not like her hair, i thought her hair looked
awful, however i kept telling her how great she looked
i continually checked my nose for growth, but it was
not to be, so i was not found out!

amy winehouse kept surfacing in my mind (as that
is what her hair looked like) and all i kept repeating
in my mind was.... ♪♪ no, no, no ♪♪

i fibbed, and just got deeper, and deeper in it, so deep
that she gave me the womans name who did it and the
location of her salon, i thanked her and took the
information and placed in my pocket only for me
to throw it out when i got to my office

i still can't believe this fib of mine, and how i did not
have the nerve to tell her how i really felt, even the
length of time i know her, which is about 15yrs now
did not sway me a bit, i stuck to my fib like glue

she went to a sweet 16 party on Thursday night and
got her hair done for the party, she will be bringing
in pictures next week for me to see, and i will fib
again and tell her how great she looked

now the fib is in place, i can't take it back, i just
have to go with it, i have to continue to fib, till
probably the week after next, when this will be
a past topic

i only have to hope she never gets these extensions
again, as then the fib will resurface, i have to hope
she sticks with her medium length hair, so i can
be free of this fib, i just have a feeling tho that
this fib is going to continue, as she loved
her hair so much, she will probably do it again

so now i am stuck with this fib, i would love to give
it away, and then be honest, but that is not going to
happen, unless someone on blogville wants it, i will
be happy to hand it over!

just goes to show you, a fib can be never ending!

  3. Carol: I totally understand your little white lie. My cousin has the most atrocious hair and I feel like I'm lying by omission by not telling her. (It's not like she's ever asked if I like it.) EVERYONE knows it's not a normal look. I mean EVERYONE! But no one ever has the nerve to tell her. One has to determine if the truth is really worth hurting someone's feelings.

  4. The hair extension story makes me think of all the times my second grade boys have ever come to school with a new pierced earring.

I just say, "That is interesting", with a smile.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Good Morning iteach! We have a few boys at our elementary school who get mohawks and I say the same thing as you..."That's interesting."

    ReplyDelete
  6. AWWW, Carol lol...Being honest when someone asks "does this look good?" etc., is VERY hard to do..I wouldn't have wanted to hurt her feelings either! lol

Iteach: I understand guys that are teens and older getting ears pierced...no problem, but these young boys..just all sorts of wrong! LMAO

It's beautiful here this morning...Sorry you're gonna have rain Carol..I already went for a walk and stopped by a garage sale! I got some cute new candles 25 cents and a pair of speakers for my laptop(my others just bit the dust lol) for $3.00!! WOOHOO!

    Have a great Saturday y'all!

  8. Morning Glories!

Bebbi got first!! Very happy to read that your tests came back with good news. I do hope your knee gets better soon!

Carol you spared her feelings and sometimes we have to do that. It is just a hair style and obviously she loved the extensions. So the little fib was not meant to be mean but to boost her self image.

Why steal her joy? Who knows next week she may have it all shaved off. LOL

Good Morning Donna Hart and Iteach!

  9. oops missed Joey Hiya! I read your post and I am obviously half awake because I thought you posted you bought sneakers for your computer! My brain did a huh wha? Ohhh speakers!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Morning LynnD and scirish!

    ROFLMAO@y'all reading it as 'sneakers'

I do that all the time with words lol

    ReplyDelete
  12. Scrishy and Joey the worst part is in that few seconds my brain was trying to figure out what sneakers for a laptop would do! It flashed red on the bottom of the computer like a non-slip grip kind of thing! Hey maybe we should invent something!

Okay yeah I may need more coffee also!

Scrishy have you got everything squared away with moving your Mom???

    Good morning Tinka!!

I spoke too soon about the weather..HORRIBLE storm here:(

So much for "Steppin' Out"(arts, crafts, music, food) that my Aunt and I were going to attend! lol

    ReplyDelete
  19. Maybe the storm will pass Joey, and you can still enjoy your day of outside activities.

Doing well, Tinka, how are you?

  20. No Hart, I don't sleep at all! I am Superwoman!! wooo hooo!

Tonight I go to a tie die party. It should be fun!

I hate fibs. I hate to have to continue them and I hate them because I am a terrible lier and I wouldn't be able to stick to it.

Pierced boys in 2nd Grade?? I think, "Goodness Gracious" and then I realize, I got my daughter's ears pierced when she was an infant so I could take care of them properly and she wouldn't have to go through the pain..lol! Can you say, Double Standard!!!!

I am glad that we are becoming a more unisex society. Equality for all!

Well, I am going to Factory Card Outlet with my daughter. Her boyfriend moves back from Chicago today because he graduated from school. She is going to get him a little congrats card.

    See ya all later, gaters!

  21. Congrats on 1st, Bebbi!!

Good morning to ALL owls, love seeing you here!

Carol, very interesting blog. Lying over something that is not a fact is ok in my eyes. You did not want to hurt her feelings. Something like that is a matter of opinion. If she asked you if her partner was stealing from her, and it was true, then you would have to tell the truth - the important stuff. That would hurt her a lot more - but that would help her in the long run. I hope I made myself understandable. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  22. I just checked my pick4 lottery ticket and am trying to find out if I won something lol

I rarely play..so not sure..I matched 3/4 numbers!! I had a weird total at Kroger yesterday(same forward and backward), so I played those numbers!

Off to check my mega million ticket!

If you HEAR me all the way from VA, you'll know we won lmao

  23. Lynndeeeee...I am so stressed about Mom's move, I don't know where to begin. She got a dumpster yesterday so we are moving the crap out of the garage of the new house and throwing away the stuff she doesn't want in the old. There is still some work to do on the new house, not to mention cleaning all the construction debris up and wouldn't ya know my back is being really bad....arrrrgg I need about 10 workers...Anybody wanna help???

  24. Good Morning Grandma Moses. My 'babies' are fed. I have my juice and I am ready to read the blog. I should copy and paste that previous sentence because I say the same thing everyday. How tedious!!!! I hope owls just scroll past my early posts.

  27. Scrishy you took on a major project! It will be over soon. If I lived closer I would come help!

Donna Hart: LMAO Can you handle the truth?

GM: I agree! Hair is just well hair. Personally if my hair looks like crap keep it to yourself! Lie to me so I can get through the day. Now if my boyfriend was stealing from me you better let me know before Mr. Lynn D finds out. LOL

    Hi Tinka!

Well I really should start planning out my day. What I thought was going to be on the agenda is not working out! Funny how that works.

    BBL

    ReplyDelete
  28. Scirish and Lynn - I read 'sneakers' too. Isn't that the strangest co-incidence? Back to reading comments.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not a problem Tinka. I didn't even notice that you stepped on me. I'm so out of it this morning that I'm numb to the pain. Need some more Diet Dew!

    LOL @ lynn d's boyfriend!

  30. Thanks guys for asking how I was today. I feel my age today and that's not a good thing. I remember a time when I would wake up on Saturday morning so excited that it was a week-end with so many wonderful things to do. Ah those were the days.

Scirish - I wish we could get a gang of Owls together to help you. Together, especially with strong guys like Joey, we could get the job done so quickly. I feel for you today my dear.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Good morning!

Hi and congrats on first, Bebbi!

Carol, I agree with everyone else--those kinds of lies are kinder than the truth. And, it's not like she's your best friend, right? You are too kind to have done anything else!

Joey, don't ya just love a good yard sale??

Hi Donna, iteach, Lynn, Scirish, Tinka and Grandma Moses (what you said made perfect sense!)!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I need some of those strong guys here to help me put my basement back together. Our finished basement flooded on June 4th and it's still a mess. Cleaned out but not put back together. Matter of fact, everything from the basement is in our garage and our cars are out in the driveway. Just can't get motivated to move all that stuff again. Hubby isn't motivated either.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Scirish, all my best to you in regards to your Mom's house. I really feel for you as we had to clean out my MIL's house several years ago when we moved her to an assisted living home. She kept everything, and I do mean everything! I've never seen so much stuff in a house in my life. It took weeks and was so stressful. I try to remember that and clean out our stuff every year so that my kids never have to go through that.

I hope it all goes smoothly for you!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Good morning Sandie! When my outlaws are gone, their house is going to be h*ll to clean out. My husband's mother keeps buying stuff and says, "This will be for my auction after I die." Why would someone deliberately make more work for their children?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Joey - If you win the mega millions will you take us all to a Paradise Island, a pink one please?

Carol - I agree with all the posts which say that your fibs came from a desire to not hurt her feelings. I don't think that's a sin at all. How badly she would have felt if you told her the truth. Years ago when I wrote a long list of lies my "ex" had told, my lawyer looked at it and said "Well that all adds up to one lie". Think of it that way. It is just one fib, no matter how many times you tell it.
Lies, however, are a different matter. When someone tells a lie, especially when it involves someone else, he or she, in my opinion is despicable. I think she is going to have to answer for that either on this earth or the next. Lies can do so much harm and cause so much grief. This is where Karma comes in.
I am off to have breakfast. I will be back later. Wishing everyone sunshine, warm with just a light breeze, not hot sunshine. Have a great Saturday Friend Owls.
"Friend Owl", that reminds me of the movie "Bambi". I can almost hear Thumper saying it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good Morning Sandie - We had so much cleaning out to do also when my mom went into "Care". We looked at the bright side of it however, and thought how much easier it was to do than if we had to do it after she passed. Then, not only would it be work but it would also be very sad. At least my sister, niece and I had a lot of laughs while doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Back. I need to find something to tie dye! I am going to a tie dye party tonight, and I don't know what to bring. It has to be 100% cotton, I might have to go and buy something.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Bebbi - Don't you have old white t-shirts in your drawer? If not that's what I would buy. Have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Going to go and look and get me some lunch. Take care all!

  40. Happy Saturday!!

    Good Morning, all....

    Bebbi - congrats on first!!

howdy to Bebbi, Hart, Iteach, Joey, Lynn D, Scirish, Tinka, Grandma Moses, and Sandie - and whoever else lands...

cpgem - great blog - you did the right thing.

Joey - I think I heard you screaming, but it was not a happy scream.

Bebbi - Michael's sells plain white t-shirts that are perfect for tye dying!!

Iteach - have fun getting your hair colored -

Scirish - good luck with the move -that is NEVER fun.

I hope everyone has an excellent day!!

    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Tinka, that's a good way to look at the cleaning out of the house.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well, I've procrastinated long enough--got lots to do before my book club tonight (thank goodness it's at someone else's house!).

    Have a wonderful day, owls!

Oh, and Hi Moweenie if you fly in! I miss seeing you! Hope you don't have to work all weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Happy Saturday Owls.

Carol, I don't like hurting anyone's feelings, but I don't like to fib either, so I usually say something generic like,"Well, it's different." I saw an acquaintance the other day who had her baby grandson with her. She was so proud, but this was one ugly baby (sorry). She was fawning all over him and she finally said the dreaded words.."Isn't he cute?" All I could say was, "he is very special" I felt like the Church Lady. The other thing about me lying or fibbing is my memory is getting so bad, I am afeared (that was for Zona) I wouldn't remember it, to keep it up. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good morning to all the Owls that have landed.

Bebbi, congrats on being the early bird.

Joey, did ya win?? did ya? did ya?

Iteach, I hope you get the hair color you want at the beauty school. And if you come out with no eyebrows, there is always eyebrow pencil.

Scirish, Bribe a bunch of strong kids to help you.

Waving a wing at Hartldo, LynnD, Tinka, Gma Moses, Sandie, MEK and everyone who lands after me.

I am going to call HP again, so I may not surface before dark. Have a good day everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  45. flying through again!

Bebbi how bout a pair of the Mr.'s underwear? Usually they are cotton! hehehehe

Sacbarb: Church lady??? I always prefer in that situation...oh isn't he or she sweet.

Sandie: have fun with the book club! What ya reading?

    Hi ya MEK!

Ok I think I have my day planned out and it looks like I will be in the car. LOL

Hope everyone has a day filled with fun!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Good Morning Mek and SacBarb-
I am now in my kitchen with my Mac Book and I am procrastinating too. This is our long B.C. weekend so I will probably have a lot of company. I should make some fresh bread. Then at least I could make sandwiches if I can't find anything else to feed the relatives. Actually I think they will all be here Monday - hence the reason for putting things off.

SacBarb - LOL @ feeling like the Church Lady. That brings back memories of SNL and Dana Carvey.
You are right, it's better if you can think of something innocuous but sometimes that's hard to do. Carol would have found it hard to just say "That's different" because in the time it took to do the manicure she was probably asked quite a few questions regarding how she felt about the new hair-do. The Church Lady didn't have too many different lines. My favourite line is one that Barbara Walters uses when she sees a new baby. She tells the proud parents, "Now that's a baby!"

Mek - That's what I was thinking - a plain white cotton t-shirt for Bebbi.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ok gang I am getting ready to head out for the day!

Everyone take care! See later taters!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Tinka, I agree, it would have been difficult for Carol since she had to sit there for so long. Plus, you need to be careful what to say to someone who has sharp implements and is using them on you. LOL Those files can really cut, too.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Good morning Owls!

Bebbi Glad to see your sunflower first thing today. It goes perfectly with the blue skies we have here today.

Carol Ah, the little white lie. I'm pretty good at skirting the issue if my answer is not the one the other person is looking for. Mostly I am honest to a fault. However, in your situation I probably would have gone with something like, "Oh, hair extensions! How fun! Did it take long for them to do? I really like the way you usually wear your hair. Did you just feel like doing something different?" When you get older, like me, you'll get better at doing the side-step. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have gotten through to HP and I asked to speak to someone who is local (Thanks DonnaJean) and I got my email problem fixed in 30 minutes. YAYYYYYYY!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Oops! Had to change back to my owly owl. :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Bebbi
    Congrats on first and second.
Donna congrats on third and fourth. I think you two just scored a home run!
    Carol
I think it is best to tell a fib if the fib means that you are not hurting anyone and that the fib is actually making someone feel happier about themselves. My opinion is that your fib was an act of kindness. I am guilty of those also. Sometimes honesty can cut like a knife. There is a huge difference between fibs which are harmless and lies or gossip that have no other purpose but to be destructive and nasty.
Good afternoon to all owls above me. I haven't had a chance to read comments. Sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  53. JustLin
You are very wise at how to skirt fibbing!
    Sacbarb
Your take on fibbing was amusing!
    Sandie
    Nice to see you again!
    Skirish & Tinkatia
I hope you both feel better soon. Back pains are no fun.
Well, I am off to e-mail Joey and brown nose him extremely just in case he did win the lottery!

  54. Good afternoon feathered friends!

BEBBI...congrats on first! And I am glad your mammo was clean. Hope the knees feel better soon, too.

CAROL...your blog was very interesting!! Just kidding...great job on it. I agree, that sometimes a little fib to save someone from uneccessary hurt is ok. I know if someone asks me if I like something and I don't, I have to be very careful in my wording of my repsonse so as to be supportive yet not out and out lie. I like the advice JUST LIN offered up!

Then I think (to myself!) if they asked they should be ready to hear the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!

LYNN...I promise if I find out anyhting your boyfriend is doing behind your back to tell YOU first, before MR. Lynn finds out!!! You really are an M&M peaNUT!!

    JOEY...didja win?? didja? didja?? LOL

    SANDIE...aw, thanks!! **waving** at ya!

I am off to feed my friends cats, do some laundry and then to meet up with some high school friends for dinner. No, they are not currently in high school...that would just be wrong on soooo many levels!!!Friends I went to high school with (one friend went to Jr. Hi with me)

SACBARB~ You and I MUST be on the same wave length today! I was just about to post my comment regarding "The Fib" and you literally said just what I was thinking!

Especially the part about ugly Babies! Now all babies "are special" but some just are NOT cute! I always try the generic phrase too, "Wow, look at all that hair", or "She/He certainly has blue eyes" or SOMETHING that cannot be mis-construed. Most people just want you to acknowledge their happiness over their bundle of joy. And sometimes the ugliest babies, turn out to be the most adorable toddlers and gorgeous adults!

About the hair thing though. That's a tough one. Bad color jobs, horrible haircuts, etc. Sometimes I just ask a question back, like "Well, what do YOU think?"

I judge myself too harshly, so I try to never ask anyone about my looks, my outfits etc., because when they say how nice I look or whatever, I ALWAYS have to disagree and say something negative about myself. My daughter (the oldest) gets really angry at me for this.

I am especially critical about my pictures. I HATE the way I look in photos. I think to myself when I am getting ready and I have finished my make-up, my hair etc, "Hey, not bad today" and then I take a picture and I think "That is NOT what I saw in the mirror this morning" and I feel crummy all day long.

Low self esteem, I know. I need to GET OVER IT! But, it is not as easy as it seems. I am trying!

Just posting avatars of myself was a HUGE step for me! And the Graduation picture, well, I don't know how I talked myself into that!

I kind of got off track of the Theme of the Blog today, but do any of you feel this way also?

SACBARB~ I am so glad you followed my suggestioin and your situation was resolved with HP!

DIANNE~ still sending out prayers, positive thoughts and ((HUGS)) to you and your daughter and family!

Miss Laurie and I are having mani/pedis this afternoon. NO Carp Pedicures though for us!!!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Make it a fun one!

  67. Good Morning Donna Jean, Just_Lin, Maureen, Dreama and Mary - All those owls who flew in while I was working (LOL I actually have been on the phone).

It's a hard life this retirement. I am now going down for a nap. Shirley didn't leave out any Slim Fast so I hope I have some in the cupboard. I will see you all this afternoon. Waving a wing at all the owls that fly in while I am gone.

  68. Good Afternoon Owls! What a wasted day! I was sitting on the couch watching some design show, trying to motivate myself to get up and clean house, and the next thing I know - 2 1/2 hours had passed. I had been asleep that whole time! My daughter has a friend over and they stayed quietly in her room playing. My husband was working in the basement (finally), and lazy me, asleep!

    ReplyDelete
  69. DONNA JO~ How wonderful you were able to have that restful time all to yourself!

A nap is never a waste! Think of it as a "respite" from all your never-ending chores and duties!

I am happy you had that rest!

  73. I love naps too, but I didn't even mean to take one today. And I never thought I'd sleep that long just sitting up! I guess I really needed the rest. The sad thing is, I still feel tired. Yawn!

    ReplyDelete
  74. ****whispering*****
    I tiptoed so I wouldn't wake anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Just_Lin: You're hilarious! Congrats on your very quiest march to 100!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hi, Hart! I hope I didn't wake you.

    ReplyDelete
  77. LOL Just_Lin! Nope, I'm awake now. Just trying to catch up online while Mr. Hart is away at his weekly poker game.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Joey, I forgot to tell you that I absolutely love going to garage sales. I'm so glad you found a good deal today.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Bebbi, did you have fun at the tie dye party?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Donna Jean I don't like how I look in photos either, but I need to get over it for sake of my kids.

I don't want them to forget what I look like when they were young.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I put up pics from the party. If anyone wants to see them. I forgot to have someone take a picture of me though. :(

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hello

Oh my, I had such a busy day, some of my family came over to see my dad and it was non stop.... Everyone was fed, they had plenty to drink, we had fruit and then of course dessert.

They just left.. and my back hurts.. However I did not do as much as mother did... She did not complain once, she amazes me...

And we have to do it all again on Thursday, as my dad turns 84.. I think we will order a tray of sandwiches and such.. I don't want her to have to make a big meal again....

I did not read the comments as of yet....I have to prepare tomorrows blog, which I will do now.. I will be back...

Hope everyone had a good day

    ReplyDelete
  83. Glad you had a nice day with all of your family together Carol.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Carol that sounds like a fun family day!

Bebbi, I'm glad you had fun. Your pictures were cute.

    ReplyDelete
  85. It does sound like a nice day. My mom does that too and I don't know how she does it! Sorry to hear your back is hurting.

I put up a video on MS (along with the pics) of the Tie Dye.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Just got back inside from roasting some marshamallows and making s'mores with MR. JODI and the youngest!!! FUN!!! Except that our state bird....the misquito, is out in full force....so we're back inside now.

I hope everyone has a great night!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. iteach, thanks for the comments too

    ReplyDelete
  88. Jodi, you are making me droolllllll.

So now I have to go change my shirt. I'll be back.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Darn that state bird Jodi! ;)

Carol: I hope your back is better by morning. Try a warm bath.

My mom is also like yours. Never stops and never complains. I sure didn't take after her!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Carol, OMG!!!..you have never had a s'more?? Wow..I never knew anyone that never had one before.

    ReplyDelete
  91. My theme this year is going to be camping and I plan to have S'Mores at Open House.

Just thinking about it gets me all excited.

    ReplyDelete
  92. CAROL - I saved a s'more for you....but that JOEY beat me to it!!! Damn....he's quick!!! And I make mine with DOUBLE the chocolate!!!

ITEACH - Sorry about the shirt!!! :P

BEBBI - Yes, and they're freakin' huge this year!!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. So sorry.....that should've been a comment to DONNA JO about the misquitoes!!! My bad.....:(

    ReplyDelete
  94. Jodi, I figured as much, didn't figure you had extra huge s'mores this year. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Just got back from my book club--it was fun, even though I didn't enjoy the book. Oh well.

Did someone says s'mores?? I think they're actually best in the microwave! Everything melts just right. Love 'em!

Jodi, LOL@the state bird! I HATE mosquitos!! I don't hate many things, in fact I try not to hate at all, but I HATE mosquitos!!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Speaking of mosquitos, every time Matthew is bit by one, they swell huge on him. I feel bad. I try to keep him sprayed, but some darn mosquito finds the part I missed.

    ReplyDelete
  97. BEBBI - And no....I wasn't referring to your "monsters" either!!! :P

    ReplyDelete
  98. I hate mosquitoes too. They are so annoying! I always heard that if you use some Avon product it will keep them away, but I cannot remember the name of it!! sheesh..going to look on google. ... found it! SKIN SO SOFT!

    ReplyDelete
  99. LOL jodi, I thought of that too but figured it would be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off topic, but of course, you could be obsessing over them (ewww)..just kidding. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  100. ITEACH - A couple weeks back at Jake's baseball game, there was a little girl (only about 2) that had gotten bit by the outside corner of her eye. Her whole eye was swollen shut....I felt so bad for her. It looked like someone has smacked her.

    ReplyDelete
  101. BEBBI - I'm not, but like I told you before.....they put my "girls" to shame. LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sandie: I like S'mores in the mircrowave too. I went to a Girl Scout Leader training last fall and we made them in tin foil over a fire, instead of just melting a marshmallow on a stick, the good old fashioned way. They burnt and were disgusting! I'm not a very good Girl Scout. I'm more of a "sleep in a real bed, use a flushing toilet, have AC, and microwave my S'mores" kind of gal.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm with you, Donna. No sleeping in a tent for me, no thank you. I was a cub scout den leader for years--thank goodness cubs don't go on campouts.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Goodnight HO's!!! I can hardly keep my eyes open.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Good night, Jodi!

Sandie: I was a Den Leader too, and my husband was the Scout Master. Our Cubs DID go camping! Luckily, I sent my hubby to those events.

    ReplyDelete
  106. HA! Donna, my husband was the Cubmaster! How funny. Our cubs went camping on occasion when it was a area wide cub camp and then my hubby went, also.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Sandie: I hope book club was fun! :)

    ReplyDelete
  108. The kids wore me out too, I'm going to head for bed.

    Good night everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Me too on the head to bed..good night iteach and goodnight everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  110. It was fun, Bebbi. The book was a little weird but we quickly got off topic and had fun talking about a lot of other stuff! LOL

    Nite iteach and Jodi!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Goodnight, Bebbi!

    I'm heading that way, too.

    Goodnight, Donna!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Goodnight iteach, Bebbi and EVERYONE! I'm hitting the hay too. Mr. Hart is home early from his poker game. YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  113. I did not prepare tomorrows blog yet,
"Houston we have a problem" as I really need to that, or we will be staring at a blank page..

    ReplyDelete
  118. Donna:
Thanks I am on my way to solve that problem right now...

Just a few more charleston chews.....

    ReplyDelete
  119. Carol: I have an idea for a blog. Since I'm new here, I don't know a lot about people. Maybe we could have a get-to-know-you blog? A refresher course for the rest of you?
    Like...Where do you live?
    How many children? Grandchildren?
    Occupation?
    Whatever someone wants to share.
    What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Donna:
Perfect! Tomorrows blog will be just that! Thanks...

    Whew....

    ReplyDelete
  121. I hid the box of charleston chews, as I seem to be eating them all, they are little suckers, so you just kinda pop them in your mouth, they are hidden now, and I am the only one who konws where they are ;o)

    Really, Really going now...

    Donna:
    Thanks again, Great idea...and Kudos..

    ReplyDelete

Jodi - sorry your campout got ruined by mosquitos - they are ALL over here - and OFF does NOT keep them off!!

Bebbi - you are correct about the Avon lotion - it really does work to keep them away!!

all this talk about s'mores is making me hungry for some chocolate!!

    cpgem - :-)

well - back to Nanny McPhee!!

howdy to all that flew in today..

I hope everyone has an excellent Sunday!!
    :-)
