Way to much "stuff"

by Zona

This is one of my favorite George Carlin routines. I can identify with it, because I know I have way too much stuff. Not only do I have my own things saved in boxes, there are all the things Mr Z and I have acquired in the 24 years we've been married. Then...there is all my mom's stuff. When it comes time to clean..I sit down, exhausted, before I even get started, just thinking of moving and dusting all the stuff we have. I can't seem to get rid of anything...and we keep accumulating more. Where does it end? If the 'Stuff Police' came to my door one day..and said I had to get rid of all but five things...or they were going to trash it all...I don't know what I would do. Do you have too much stuff?? Or could you easily pare your stuff down to just five things??

  3. Morning Bebbi! Congrats on 1st!

Great blog Zona! I haven't listened to George Carlin much but that was a funny and true video!

Of course I have too much stuff. Why am I keeping socks that have holes in them and that I haven't worn in five years? I have bills from the 80's and 90's (paid by the way...I think). When I use to smoke my cigarette brand stopped being made so I saved the last package. I also kept the cigarette package I wrote on when my ex-BIL called to tell me his daughter was born.

I think the only people who don't have stuff are the dead! Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Actually they don't have stuff because they left it all to us!! Lol!

  5. LOL Shirley, that is funny. Yes, then we have more stuff..and it's other people's stuff so it's their old shit.

  8. Bebbi don't stuff your stuff too full of stuff. You might want to buy more stuff. So leave room in your stuff for more stuff. Have fun getting your stuff together and have a good weekend!

  9. Morning Glories!

Hear Ye Hear Ye, All Rise it is another Parliment in Session! Hehehehe Thanks Joey!

Congrats on first Bebbi! Have fun visiting your Dad!

    Hi Shirley!

Zona oh boy you had to do a blog about stuff! LOL I could never pare things down to just 5 things, are you freaking crazy????

First of all I would have to decide if those 5 things would be underwear or books! HELLO, books would win so I would be naked and that would be that! Gives a whole new meaning to feeling exposed!

I have stuff. Last winter I went through and cleaned out one room. It took 5 car loads to get it to the thrift shop that I donated to. Guess what??? In that room I have added more stuff!

I can't figure out where the hell it came from. I am seriously beginning to think that it breeds like the laundry. You know you have one sock and pretty soon there is a whole pile of washing to do, except there is no mate for that one damn sock. So you go out and buy more socks, but some how that lone sock still ends up in the laundry. You know you threw it away but it keeps showing up.

Like you I look at all the stuff and by the time I think I have worked up the energy to deal with it, you know the clean the stuff out Pep Talk, you head there and then you get a fresh look at the stuff and have to sit down. Since I am sitting down there is the book I am reading, well lets just take in a couple of chapters and clear my mind and then I will work on the stuff. Pretty soon you have finished the book and it is time to make dinner and the stuff moving can wait until tomorrow.

You know I am sitting here in my computer room looking at a glass fish bowl and thinking, Why the hell do we still have that? That fish died in 1997, I was at the funeral! Ok time to go get some coffee and think about getting rid of the other stuff with the fish bowl. Oh hey, there is a book I wanted to read again next to it.......

  10. Yay it's Friday! Defintitely TGIF!

Good Friday morning, Owls! Wishing a fabulous day to Bebbi, Shirley, Lynn_D and those that fly in later.

Zona...my wonderful, much younger niece....fantastic blog!!!!! Well done!!! I love George Carlin...may he rest in peace. And he is so right...the whole meaning of life is just trying to find a place for your stuff! In 1999, I went back to university and as a student I moved out every spring and moved in to a place every September for five years and then I got a job that meant I moved for a year or so, until it was decided where I would be based...so for seven years, I moved every year. And it was amazing how the amount of stuff I had got smaller and smaller and it was all about just having what I really needed and wanted around me and didn't mind moving. I had a lot of garage sales back then. Now I have lived in the same place for three years and I have recently noticed that the stuff has returned! My storage cupboard is bursting at the seams! I think it may be time to move!

  11. Top o' the morning to ya, VIG, Lynn D, Shirley, and Bebbi!

Zona: I don't have too much trouble with "stuff" per se... a few too many knick knacks cover the available real estate in my living room, courtesy of my soon-to-be sister-in-law... but my problem is paper.

I ALWAYS have an accumulation of paper somewhere around, and I can never seem to get a handle on it. The mail comes in, and I just seem woefully unable to process it, store it, and throw out the junk. Then, as the stack(s) accumulate, the task gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger!

I'm trying, though. The first step has been to get a new filing cabinet, so at least there is a PLACE for all the paper I have to keep (bills for here, bills for Palm Springs, tax documents, bank statements, etc. etc. etc.).

    Yuck!

From A51: Hart: Almost! It stands for Bay Area Bloggers Barbecue!

    Can't believe it's tomorrow!

  18. Congrats on first, Bebbi! Have a great time visiting your Dad!

Zona, thanks for the funny blog! I'm still laughing. I have spent the last three weeks trying to clean out stuff. I'm working on my office and Aubree's room right now. Boy does she have stuff!!

I'm pretty good about cleaning out stuff. When I have too much stuff, I start to feel stressed and have to get rid of it. If only I could learn not to buy new stuff.

Lynn, you're as funny as George! You should take that show on the road--and don't forget your stuff! Seriously, you always make me laugh--thank you!

Shirley, you always make me laugh, too. Do you really still have old bills?? And, I know you have all those water balloons sitting around.

VIG, moving does force you to clean out your stuff! I actually enjoy moving--I love getting rid of stuff!

Whabbear, yes, papers are a pain. You reminded me that I need to clean out our filing cabinets, too. Yuck.

Tinka, good morning! Your stuff is in the form of Teddy Bears, right? You have very cute stuff.

Have a great day everyone! The weather is so beautiful here today. And I'll be cleaning out stuff. **sigh**

  19. Good Morning Hooters! Congrat on 1st bebbi

Great blog Zona- I love George Carlin.

Stuff?? Stuff is like a boomerang- it just keeps coming back and filling the spaces you emptied.
    Especially your kids stuff.

I raise them, send them to college, they move far away and then I am asked to keep their 'stuff'.
"Mom, I'm moving from London to Chicago so I need lots of stuff". We get said stuff. "Mom, I'm moving to San Fransisco, I need you to keep my 'stuff',I can't afford to ship it." So 'stuff' is back in my house and multiplying like kittens.

Shirley- I am sure that my sweet revenge will be that when I croak my kids will get not only my stuff- but hot damn- their own stuff to store too!!

I am off to the weekend getaway place- so everyone have a great weekend and see you all on Monday night!!

  20. Ah - Sandie has arrived. Good Morning my dear.

Great blog Zona. I love George Carlin and this is one of my favourite routines that he does.

I think if George made a tour around our two countries, I may get the first place ribbon for having the most stuff.
I have a 6 bedroom home for myself and my three pets and it is far too small for the stuff I am still collecting.

I have a doll room full of dolls ranging in age from brand new to 60 years old.

I have a teddy bear room where I can't squeeze in any more bears. Besides bears, I have anything that pertains to bears, like bear bookends, bear mobiles, bear Christmas ornaments, bear candles, bear rugs. I have wooden bears, bears banks and I think I should stop there naming the stuff. There are two things I still have not found. That is a "bear" cover for the light switch and a "bear" light fixture for the ceiling. Does anyone know where I can find those?

I have a collectors room where I have my 230 dalmations and all the McDonald toys, my Elvis memorabilia and all my photograph albums.

I have over 500 videos which are now obsolete and a DVD collection that is catching up.

I had better take a break and see who is in the nest.

  21. Vig,Vig,Vig moving does make you get rid of stuff! We moved ten years ago and I tossed stuff like there was no tomorrow. We have now lived in this house 10 years and I have decided it would be easier to burn it down with all of the stuff! The thought of moving just strikes terror in my heart and saps what little energy I have. LOL

Sandie you like to move are you crazy??? I used to be the supreme queen of getting rid of stuff when the kids were little. Everything in it's place and all that. Until I drove my family crazy and I became the supreme bitch of a queen on cleaning. Those names were the endearing titles my family dubbed me. Then I relaxed about it. I relaxed so much you may have to clear a path to get me to the funeral home. What is a happy medium?

Whabbear paper and I have a love hate relationship. Have you ever been audited by the IRS? Well we have! I am now a paranoid paper saver! I also have a hard time recycling anything that has my name on it because of those damn identity thieves! It is a sickness really.

I believe the same theory applies if you have one receipt and a post it note you should have tossed, they breed and become a pile of paper as long as your arm. I weep when I look at that pile and grieve for the trees that gave their lives. My conclusion is pragmatic however all is fair when you are battling with the IRS!!!

Now if I could get Mr. Lynn D to throw out his shit I could get on board and throw out my stuff! Notice like George said his stuff is shit and my stuff is stuff!

This book I found has me spellbound be back in a bit!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good Morning Goldie - Nice to see you this morning.

Continuing with the boring list of my stuff, I have a guest room. It looks pretty nice but as George says, if anyone stays there, they will not find much room for their stuff. I have filled this room with all my mom's stuff. When my mom went into 'Care' she could only take a few of her precious things with her and my sister and I divided all my mom's stuff between the two of us. Now I have all of my mom's stuff in the guest room. Her stuff mainly includes pictures and ornaments and the furniture I had when I lived 'at home'. I go in there and it feels a little bit like a shrine to my mother.

Zona - I promise you when you visit I will clear a lot of Mom's stuff out of there to make room for your stuff.

  24. Hello sweet Tinka! I would love to see all your stuff! It sounds like much more interesting stuff than I have.

Goldie, I'm just starting to understand what you mean--my college son has stuff here, there and everywhere.

I know, Lynn, I'm weird. I do like to move. I enjoy setting up a new house--I love decorating. I know what you mean about relaxing as the years go by. I have done the same. That's why I'm still sitting here instead of cleaning out my stuff!

Just/Lin, if you're reading today--just wanted to say have a wonderful time with Custard! I hope you get some good stuff!!

  31. Good Morning Sandie, Donna and Dreama.

Sandie - I described all my stuff I love. That is only half of it. I still have all the stuff that my three children couldn't find room for in their new homes but didn't want to give up. So Mama stores it here. Some of it is big like my son's pool table and Dawn's old water bed. We have the first television, stereo combo stored in the garage because my son wants to do something with it someday. Unfortunately someday never comes. My basement, second garage and attic are full. Of course I have kept all their school papers and favourite cards from different occasions. If I get to the point of having to scale down, my kids will have one fantastic 'garage sale'. I won't have it but Cara loves to have 'garage sales'. The result is her house is not filled with stuff like mine is. Once a year they clear every out and have a garage sale. Even the grand children sell their old toys. I usually end up buying them and adding them to my stuff.
The result is the fact that my daughter has a very uncluttered house and that's the way she likes it. I like my home just the way it is, as long as it's tidy when company drops by.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Good Morning Tina - When you and Zona visit me you will have to be the judge and see who is the "Queen of Stuff", Zona or Tinka. Please bring a prize for the winner. Then I will add the prize to my stuff.

  33. I love George Carlin. I love the routine he does on "Last". If anyone can find it on U-tube, (VIG, you are the expert googler), please let me know. He talks about what we would do if we knew when something we did in the past would be the last time we would ever do it. He says "If I knew the last time I saw Aunt Kate was the last time I would ever see her, I would hug her so tight." It is very touching. I have watched it on TV and it made me try to remember when was the last time I was on roller skates or the last time I pushed my children on the swing at the park. I can't remember them but I know if I had known it was the last time I would have enjoyed it so much more.

In our case we have it at the same house but everyone takes turns bringing food. Each person brings money (whatever they can afford) and it's put into a bank account. Sometime in November the money will be withdraw and given back so we can all go Christmas shopping. The club is usually started in January and each meeting is a food and gossip session. 86. Donna Jean - I am so happy you get to go to the BBQ. You need a break from all your stress this summer. We will be waiting for reports from you. Stay safe.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Bebbi:
    Congrats on First!

    Zona:
Loved your blog today, I am not a George Carlin fan, however when I saw this video, I cracked up. All he said was so true, Great Blog! Thank You Zona! Happy Blue for you!

  88. HA! How about the pick for VP by McCain (or his people), I was floored, what a surprise, it is clear to me now, that this election will be a hell of a race. And to surprise the world on the day after his opponents nomination.. Wow...

We are in for a couple of crazy months.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Shirley - When you are left all alone you get very creative. I loved all those stuffed foods. I think I will have stuffed turkey and mushrooms with my Coke.

That Christmas club of yours is a great idea. "Have fun while saving money for Christmas." That's a wonderful mantra.

You 'bet your boots' the Maritimers can kick up their heels. I have seen it and I can do it because I was born a Maritimer.

  90. Stuff! Well I have lots of stuff, and at times there is too much stuff, just don't know where all my stuff comes from, however it is there, and I am confronted with it daily!

Now the question is what to do with all this stuff! I really have no idea!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Shirley:
Loved all your stuffed... lol.. and good way to keep yourself company!
    Kudos!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I think many BBQ'ers are meeting tonite for dinner! How fun..

I am sure they will enjoy! And hope they take lots of pictures...

    ReplyDelete
  93. Vig:
Congrats on your race to 100, it seems Tweety Bird was awfully happy running the race! :O)

    ReplyDelete
  94. VIG - Are you procrastinating? Is your report finished? Do I have to come over there and supervise you?

I didn't know one of our "Three Musketeers" could be so sneaky. Imagine silently marching to #69. Were you in your bare feet?

I heard your song from "Snow White" all the way to my house. I think that is what woke me from my nap. Or maybe it was Shirley singing the song from
"The Sound of Music". Both were sung beautifully so I woke up in a great mood.

I wish I knew the correct name of the George Carlin routine on "Last". I checked everything on George and I couldn't find it. I would even just like to find the words. It wouldn't have to have him saying them. It is probably on one of his old records.

Now, back to your report Sweetie. Thanks for the phone call.

  95. Lynnd:
Hear ye Hear ye... to funny... LMAO

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Sorry Carol. I stepped on you. Did I hurt you?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Whoopie - I got '125'. That's a lucky one.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Tinka:
You are way to gentle to hurt anyone! ♥♥

    ReplyDelete
  99. Dianne - I am so happy you are going home. Just think, soon you will be surrounded by all of your own stuff. There is nothing like it.

I have never described your room. It is waiting for you. It is on the bottom level (not the basement) and it is similar to the one room apartments in New York. There is a cozy single bed with lots of books on your Head Board. There is a small dresser. Then there is a divider that separates your bedroom space from your kitchen space. There is a fridge, table and chairs, Microwave, toaster and coffee pot. It is set up so you can stay as long as you like. You have your own exit that leads out to the patio with the Hot Tub and the swing. I will have a sign made up that says "Dianne's room." There are no toys in that room so you can bring lots of your own stuff.

Does that sound okay? Remember, you are going to phone me when you get home.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hey Tinka! Yes, I did finally get to work and didn't have a nap. Now I'm cranky because all my stuff is in the middle of the floor and although I know it signals progress, the room looks way worse than it did before!

I'm trying to go through all my card/scrapbooking stuff (of which there is a ton) and part of me just wants to give it all away! See how I am--I am always wanting to get rid of stuff!

I hope all the owls and blog buddies have a great time together at the BBQ!! We'll just wait here for the pictures.

I'm headed to Mom's for some warm-from-the-oven banana bread and tea. That should cheer me up ... at least until I come back to this sTuFf!!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. This time I stepped on Sandie. Boy, I had better be careful or else I may be involved in law suits. Sorry Sandie.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Tinka, you missed me. But I think you stepped on some of my stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Sandie - When you start sorting you always hit a point where you wish you had never started because it's a mess. If you persevere soon you are back to being tidy and all your stuff is sorted. It's a job well done. I know the feeling of being half finished. Yes, you will need some of your mom's banana bread. Would you please bring a piece back for me? I love banana bread.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Sandie - I hope it was recycling stuff and not valuable stuff that I stepped on. Have fun at your mom's.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Tink...what, me procastinate? Well, actually, usually it is my middle name but this has been a day of some major production, so I figured a little march to keep the brain going strong was warranted! Had my purple hiking boots on that match my purple hat and everything!
I have google and youtubed and can't find that "last" routine! Can you think of any other parts to it or anything he focussed on?

    ReplyDelete
  106. I know you're right, Tinka. I'll feel great when it's done.

Of course I'll bring you a piece of banana bread--my Mom makes the best!!

    Okay, be back later.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Carol - I look gentle but there is a tiger inside this kitty cat body.
    Be afraid. Be very afraid.

    ReplyDelete
  108. VIG - So happy to hear that your project is coming along nicely. You certainly dress fancy for your marches. Purple hiking books with purple boots to match, now that's classy.
I am procrastinating now, waiting for Sandie's Mom's banana bread.

I can't think of anymore lines to G. C.'s routine. The whole thing is a repetition of the words. "If only I had known (insert activity) it was the last time I woud be (insert activity) I would have played with such gusto or enthusiasm or love. Maybe it's called, "If Only I Had Known".

    ReplyDelete
  109. I must get some work done. Tomorrow is the Saanichton Fair. Today is the day I was going to clean my house. I haven't got very far. I am having a computer day.

Zona - Are you up yet? I am still thinking about your question about what 5 things I would save if I had to narrow down my stuff. I will try to have an answer for you before the day is through. I won't guarantee though because it is a very hard assignment.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Hi you all!

Running through! Just put the Grossry stuff away and it is so muggy I feel like I am wearing a wet towel!

Tinka 6 bedrooms filled with stuff? I think you win hands down!

I have over 2500 pieces of vintage sheet music all over the place does that count??

You know I keep thinking what would we do without our stuff? Wellllll maybe I would be more organized and it would be so much easier to clean!

I am going to have a cold soda and read the paper!

Dianne Going Home in Denver I am so happy to read that your daughter is doing so much better and you can go home. Bless you all!

To the 1/2 of the Parliment that has traveled to the BBQ I want pictures and any good blackmail comments you can garner while you are there! LOL I hope you all have a wonderful time! Enjoy each other for me please!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hi Everyone! I haven't been able to read all the comments yet...but will soon.

We had a huge storm...by AZ standards...last night. There are power poles and trees down all over the city. The weather channels said that winds were clocked at 100mph. In our neighborhood they were 'only' 75mph. I was scared to death that our big tree in the front yard would come toppling down. We only lost a few shingles. Mr. Z is up on the roof now repairing them....wouldn't want to get all our 'stuff' wet. ;)

I'm so glad that everyone liked the George Carlin routine. Off to read the comments now.

  112. BEBBI: Congrats on FIRST! I hope you have a nice visit with you dad!

SHIRLEY: I saved all those paid bills too...I have cancelled checks of my dad's going back to the 60's!!

LYNND: I like your theory that stuff just breeds while we aren't looking. It sure seems like it!!

VIG: OMG...when we moved from Ca. to Az. it was such a nightmare, I swore we would never move again. Ever...never ever...

WHABBEAR: Sounds like you and I need to have a shredding party...we could invite SHIRLEY! :)

TINKA: I can't wait to come visit and see all of your stuff...it all sounds like so much fun!! I promise I won't bring too much stuff with me!!

SANDIE: Will you come over and help me clean just one room....TINA knows which one...lol..

GOLDIE: LOL @ your kids getting it all to store!! I won't forget to leave the light on for you...please be careful and have fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Zona - I just went to the site you gave me. It is terrifying. You must have been so scared. The pictures show such damage. You should list the site address on the blog so the owls can see it. It is mind boggling. I am glad you are okay.

    ReplyDelete
  114. TINKA: I just love seeing your little owl...it makes everything right in my world!! {{HUGS}}

HART: Mr. Z wants to throw my stuff out...and is a pack rat with his own!!

TINA: I'll just take a picture...we wouldn't want him to get lost in there!! SWAK!

TINKA: I will try to find that routine too. LOL @ TINA bringing a prize to add to your stuff!!

DJEAN: You and Laurie Elizabeth have a great time!!

    SHIRLEY: Loved your menu! :)

VIG: Congrats to you on 69 AND 100!
    Now I'm really confused...LOL!!

DIANNE: Mr. Z was so happy...I just have to figure out which corner to stuff him in on Sunday. ;)

CPGEM: Thank you so much for the Happy Blue...you're the best!

TINKA: Hmmmmm....DIANNE's room sounds an awful lot like my room....or did you move me?? ;)

  115. Hi everyone! I haven't had time to read the blog. I wanted you all to know I am safely in my Hotel room in California! I went for a quick walk and ran into SacBarb. She knew who I was right away! We will be meeting for supper soon, so I gottah go.
    Later.....

  117. HI MARY!! Please give SACBARB a hug for me!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Hey hey hey!

Zona that is just crazy! It sounds like you had one of our winter storms! Glad to hear you are safe and tell Mr. to becareful repairing the roof!

Leaving a large platter of BLT's with fresh lettuce from our garden! That's what is on the menu at our house tonight! And here is a couple cases of very cold beer to go with!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Mary glad to know you are safe and at the hotel! Give Sacbarb an extra squeeze from me too!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Zona - No your room is not the same room as Dianne's. Your room is the large guest room that has the furniture that I had when I was 20 and lived at home. It's the one with mom's stuff in it. It is tastefully decorated. You are at the front of the house, just below me so you won't get scared. Speaking of scared, I think you should fly up here tonight. The prospect of another storm like last night is more scary than flying. Get on the next flight out.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Mary - I am glad you are safe. I wish we were all meeting for dinner. Have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  122. LYNND: I'm just grateful that we didn't lose that tree...it would have been horrible. I'll take a BLT and I'm sure when he gets down, Mr. Z will take a beer!! Thank you!

TINKA: I would LOVE to come visit...in a heartbeat! I must have been confused, my room sounds wonderful. Is there room for my Raiders sign??? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  123. uh....Tinka~ which room is mine? :)~

    ReplyDelete
  124. cpgem8~ great day, huh? It should be fun~ I'm looking forward to it now~

    ReplyDelete
  125. Tinka~ that was hilarious about you getting the prize~ I don't know about that!!!!!~

Sandie~ that poem was hilarious~ I love Georgia and have friends there, but it's still funny~

    ReplyDelete
  126. Zona - We can always make room for your Raider's sign.

Tina - Your room is the what I call the Garden room. It is small and cozy and has a large window that overlooks the flowers in the back garden and the Hot Tub. It has my collectibles in it but they can easily be removed before you visit. There will be lots of room for your stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Tina - I see you got the 69. That's okay. I was going to give it to you anyway. I thought you needed it more than the other contenders. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  128. Passes the "smokes" to Tina! After that, "awwwwwww" she will surely need it...

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  129. This news just in: All of the Wal-Marts across Alabama sold out of ammunition as of yesterday. A reliable source said that one of the purchasers commented that while Russia may have invaded Georgia , they sure as hell ain't doin' it to Alabama .

Please don't take offense. This was just all in fun. I thought Sandie, especially, would like it.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Tinka~ OMG!!!! you made me scream! What makes you think I needed more than everyone else~ (and do I really want to know?)

    carol~ thanks for the smoke~ that's what i was doin'.....smokin'~

    ReplyDelete
  131. Tina - I made the judgement on the fact that you make the best response to getting it.
    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
    Does that look familiar? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  132. lol Tinka~ okay...you're right~ I've got to go look for a prize for you...I'll leave him....i mean it.... on your page~ :)~

    ReplyDelete
  133. Tina - I will be holding my breath until I see my prize.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I'm baaaackkk! Tinka, Mom sent home a piece of banana bread for you . . . but I couldn't help myself and ate it on the way home. Maybe next time?

Tina and Donna, I crack up at the Georgia jokes, too. (Loved yours, Donna!) When we were going to move here from MD my kids were so mad. They thought they'd be going to school with kids in overalls with straw hanging out of their mouths! My husband and I still laugh about that.

That's so cool that sacbarb recognized Mary right away! Maybe one day we'll all get together--that would be a hoot! It sounds like we're all invited to Tinka's so let's go there. But, I think she gave all her rooms away. Ummm, VIG, do you have a room for me??

    ReplyDelete
  135. Tinka, I just saw the prize you won from Tina. So, what room does he go in? Yours?

    ReplyDelete
  136. My son and DIL have arrived! They are changing their clothes at the moment, so I thought I'd just drop in to say hello. They had some car trouble but they called AAA and were on their way again. I'm so happy they're here!!!!!!

Hope all of you at the BABB have a wonderful time together!

I'll check back in when I can.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Sandie - I have to go and see it. I will be right back.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Tina and Sandie - Wow, I can hardly breathe. I am not telling anyone which room that trophy will go in. Thank you Tina. I just wrapped the pink boa around the eyes of my little granddaughter so she won't see it but I can. Where did you find him?????

    ReplyDelete
  139. I am leaving it open so you younger girls can get into the march. VIG where are your purple boots and matching hat?

    ReplyDelete
  140. lol Tinka~ I made him myself~ (on photobucket) I got tired of all the same comments....more fun to make my own~ Just ask Zona~

Have fun with your family Hart~

    ReplyDelete
  141. ZONA - Great blog!! STUFF?!!? Have I got stuff!! I come from a long proud line of hoarders. After my Mom died we cleaned out their extra bedroom. We found boxes and boxes of things like....obits, the matching memorial card and the thank you note. Wedding invitations, and the matching napkin, and/or the matchbook from the wedding. I also found all of our baby cards and birthday cards up to about our 5th or 6th birthdays. Damn near had to rent a dumpster to get rid of all of it.

SHIRLEY - I enjoyed your blog yesterday. I am a huge hugger!!! My whole family is. :D As a matter of fact, whenever my brother hugs me I have to brace myself, cuz the "girls" get squashed!!! lol!!

I hope all our friends have a great time at the BABB tomorrow!!! I hope they will take lots of pics and present a power point presentation next week!!
