Music and The Gap

There are some commercial's that once I see them, they stay with me forever.

I always wished I can see them again when their run was over. Well my wish came true by way of You Tube. These two commercial's are my favorite by The Gap. The whole dynamic of the commercial works for me, the music, the
clothes, the actors. I just think they are so upbeat, and definitely capture the audiences attention. I am sure many clothes were bought because of these commercial's. This is truly, Advertising at its finest with Songs that draw you in.

Sarah Jessica Parker, singing some of the lyrics from the song "I Enjoy Being A Girl". Commercial aired in 2005.

Claire Danes dances with Patrick Wilson to the Ethel Merman hit "Anything You Can Do." Commercial aired in 2007.

  2. Morning Glories!

Scrishy I knew it was you that slid into first this morning! LOL

Funny isn't it how a well done commercial can stick with you and you want to see it again or hear the music.

I have to say that I don't think I have ever gone out and bought anything because of the commercial tho. LOL

Off to read the news until I can call the Doc.

  3. I don't remember seeing either one of these, but I remember The Gap having some other pretty awesome ones...There was one with Madonna and Missy Elliot that was pretty clever.

  5. Congrats on 1st Scirish!

    Good morning Lynn D!

I remember the second commercial but not the first one. There were both pretty good though...as far as commercials go. I usually skip over the commercials.

  12. Good morning, scrishy, Lynn D, Joey, Shirley, and IBB!

Back in my home, and back online! Wish me luck, owls! We bought a new mattress on Saturday, and it's scheduled for delivery today. Trouble is, I still have my waterbed frame in the bedroom, and have to find a way to get it out before the mattress comes in.

    Yikes!

  13. Hello JOEY!!!!!

Would it help you thaw if I told you it was 1 degree here this morning???

  14. Good morning Hooters and a standing congrats on 1st to our little scrishy.

Lynn- feel better. Sounds like you have a dilley of bug. :)

Joey- so glad to see you again!!

I remember the 1st commercial but not the 2nd. I am a huge fan of the old Bud commercials with the bullfrogs. I love their Clydsdales too.

Hope everyone has a good day. We are in for freezing rain this afternoon then 7-10 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow!! UGGGGGGGH

    ReplyDelete
  15. Happy Monday!!!

    Scirish - congrats on FIRST

Lynn D - congrats on SECOND!! Do you set your alarm??!!
    :-)

Whabby - have fun breaking in that new mattress!!
    ;-)

Too all of you that are having minus degree weather - it's 50 right now - our high should be 73. and we might get some rain!!

Dianne - YES, we won!!! (doing a split jump!!!)...

waving howdy to Scirish, Lynn D, Shirley, IBB, Joey, Whabby, Goldie, and all who land!!

cpgem - i love a GOOD commercial - thank you!!

I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
    :-)

  16. Congrats on first, Scirish!!

Carol, I remember the first one but not the second. Both are really cute. Sarah Jessica Parker is just such a cutie.

LynnD, hope you get an appointment and feel better!

Whabbear, when Mr. Sandie and I first got married we had a water bed and loved it. However, one night it sprung a slow leak and since he was heavier all the water went to his side--I didn't feel a thing. He woke up lying in a puddle of warm water thinking that he had wet himself during the night!! It was pretty funny.

Okay, I'll stop saying I'm cold at 40 degrees!! Some of you are freezing!!!

Hi Shirley, IBB, Joey and Goldie!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oops, Hi MEK! I'm glad your neighbor-police situation is over!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Correction on our high today..

only 63 - LOL - but that is still NOT cold!!

    good morning, Sandie...

whabby and sandie - I had wanted a waterbed FOREVER and got one - many years later, met Mr. MEK - he HATED it - needless to say - the waterbed had to go!!!
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yay I don't have to go in! I talked to the PA and it is a pretty clear cut diagnosis and I just have to go later to pick up medicine!

Whabby I thought Mr. Lynn D and I were the only people left on the planet with a waterbed! LOL We have had ours forever. We occasionally talk about going to a regular mattress but I am the one who does not want to give it up! I love it. So relaxing to float and it is heated! Someday it will have to go but not yet!

Off to get ready to pick up prescriptions.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yea, LynnD! So glad you don't have to go to the doc's! Hope the meds help.

Okay, enough procrastinating. I've got lots to do today.

    Have a good day!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Waterbed topic- used to have one and loved it. King size and heated. Ahhhh- then I got pregnant with child #2. Had morning sickness 24/7 and it is not easy to get out of a waterbed quickly to puke. Also, by the time I was 8 months pregnant I couln't get out of it AT ALL. So, I slept on the couch. All was well after the baby was born and we kept it for about another 5 years until we moved. I still miss it.....

    ReplyDelete
  22. CAROL - Luv the Gap commercials!! I think my fav is the Khaki Swing one. The one where there are couple swing dancing....I especially liked when they did the stop motion segments!! How fun!!

Waterbed....got rid of ours when I was pregnant with #3....HUGE MISTAKE!!! I should've waited til after I had the baby. Nothing worse than trying to get used to a regular mattress when I was that big!!! I really miss it, but I'm not so sure that I would love it now that I have "my own personal summer" going on!!!

GOLDIE - I am NOT looking forward to that storm. I just hope that we don't have a layer of ice underneath the snow.....that would be the worst!!

Waving a wing at SCIRISH (congrats on 1st!!!), LYNN D, SHIRLEY, IBB, JOEY, WHABBY, MEK & SANDIE!!

I hope everyone has a good Monday. :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. Happy Monday Owls.

Carol, I loved the GAP commercials too. Thanks.

    Scirish, Congrats on #1.

Goldie, My waterbed story is the same as yours, except we actually took it down when I was in my 6th month until after the baby was born. My Hubby said it was like a tidal wave every time I got up to puke or pee. Luckily, we still had our old mattress and we just put that in the waterbed frame. We kept the waterbed for another 15 years.

MEK, I am going to make fudge today and feed it to the sorority sisters tomorrow. HA!

LynnD, I hope the meds help and you feel better soon.

Shirley, I love all your snowmen.

    Joey, WB, you were missed.

Waving a wing at all the other Owls. I hope you all have a good day. BBL

  24. BTW, re: yesterday's topic of hot flashes, I call mine 'power surges'

    ReplyDelete
  25. SACBARB - lol @ power surges!!! I think that is how I should refer to the ones that wake me up out of a dead sleep. :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thought I better pop in and say "Good Morning All!" while it's still morning (here).

Carol~~Fun. I remember the Audrey Hepburn skinny black pant GAP commercial, too. Loved it, love her.

btw, what treasures did you find on your weekend shopping adventures? We won't tell!

Scirish~~1st again! Love seeing that Christmas Owl. Bet he loves the snow! I thought he'd flown South for the winter and dyed his feathers pink~~Bebbi ;-)

    Goldi/Jodi~~Brrrrrrr!

Sub-topic: Deep-sea fishing is ONE thing, but there are some things I'd rather not risk seasickness to do! ......like sleep, I mean.

More cards to send...have a Merry Monday!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Scirish Congrats on number one today! Love you little owl!

Shirley What's the score on the morning race?

Goldie Brrrrrr! You need a sweater.

I didn't remember the first commercial at all. The music in both are fun to hear. I think my favorite commercials are ones that make me laugh or ones with animals doing cute things.

I actually have to try and get some work done today so I'll try to check back in later.

    Joey I'm glad you're back. :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I was just complaining about my myspace because I thought it was supposed to pop up and tell me when a friend's birthday was coming. I've missed several birthdays because it didn't tell me! (Sorry if I missed yours!)

Well, today it pops up to tell me it's Donny Osmond's birthday tomorrow. Okay...like he's a real friend of mine?? LOL Why just him??

And, that reminds me, Tina, you said that you met Donny? Ummm, did he mention me? Just askin'. Really though, what was he like???

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sandie~~LOL. What's with MS? Today, I got the the alert that says "You have friends with new birthdays", but then doesn't show any. WTF? And, is anyone able to click on 'Address List', and have it pull up all your friends so you can see their snail-mail addresses, memo entries, etc. that you've added? When I tried today, it just pulls up a screen to find one person, then doesn't show anything. I'm wondering if it's a general glitch or because I 'hid' my fave-friend avatar section on my page. Any ideas? I messaged MS Help but haven't heard back yet.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Goldie~~Don't know where I lost your 'e' in above post. Frozen finger syndrome?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Scirish~ Congrats on first~

LynnD~ glad you don't have to go to the doc~

Carol~ I don't remember the first commercial, but LOVED the second~ I love to watch the new commercials come out during the Daytona 500 or any major event....it's so fun~

Sandie~ Debbie had just had a baby so I congratulated Donny on the birth. He was really sweet and kind of surprised that I knew. I have no idea how I knew. I must have read it somewhere. I don't remember what else we said, but he really was very nice. I have no idea if I asked for his autograph or not. I really wasn't much into him. I just remember all that auburn hair on the two boys that were with him~

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ladies~ (don't mean to exclude you, Joey and Bear...but I am!) You make me really want to go thru menopause!!!! Power surges....own personal summer! Dear Lord....HELP ME!!!!!~

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks, Tina. Besides all that auburn hair, did you notice all those teeth??

I agree about the power surges, personal summers, etc. I'm scared! But, my Mom never had one single hot flash or any other symptom so my fingers are crossed. I'm 49 and nothing yet. But, my older sister has them so who knows?

One of my friends has them so badly that she said she can't even exercise at the gym anymore. She's afraid she's going to spontaneously combust! LOL

  34. Just Lin the morning count is:

    Lynn D - 36
    You - 1

Looks like you have a lot of catching up to do:) Lol!

  35. Bon'O, I have no idea about your myspace question. I didn't even know I could put friend's info in. That about sums up how much I know about myspace. Duh.

  37. Hi Shirley!! Wanna come over for a cup of coffee? :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE

CAROL, Thanks for another light hearted blog. I think my all time favorite commercials are the United Airlines that played during the 2008 Olympics. Especially the one at the water playing instruments. If I was out of the room I would run back in just to see it.

Now I need to get with it and just DO IT! Take care everyone

VI & TINK, I hope you are both feeling better. My thoughts are with you every day.

SHIRLEY, I love seeing all of your winter avatars. Today Mr Snowman looks really really cold even for a snowman. :)

SCIRISH &LYNN, you have a lot of early morning endurance. Congratulations.

BEAR, Enjoy your new mattress. :)

LYNN, I hope the new meds help.

JOEY, It is nice to meet you. I am a friend of J/L

GOLDIE, You really need some warm clothes

MEK, We are supposed to get some rain this week in Pacifica. It will probably be about 2 drops.

    Hi to IBB

SANDIE & SACBARB, LOL at your water bed posts.

HELLO TO BON aka Martha Stewart & JODI

SLIN, What did you say to me the other night? Don't just say try.......DO IT! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sure Sandie! Coffee sounds good. Want me to pick anything up on my way over?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nope, Shirley, already made cookies!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh nice! What kind of cookies are we having?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Did you happen to watch Amazing Race last night?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Lani! It was fun finding all the snaowman pictures. There will be more to come in the days ahead. Stay tuned! Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I was talking with my older sister earlier today. Her ex (well almost ex, they are just separated for now) was kicked out by the woman he was living with. She feels bad for him but when I asked if she would take him back she said she didn't feel that bad. Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Shirley, LOL at your sister!

We are having chocolate chip/white chocolate chip cookies!! I can't have any but I for some reason I really enjoy baking and watching other people eat now. My husband says if I keep this up he'll be needing the surgery next year.

I don't watch Amazing Race. Sorry. But, did anyone watch Brothers and Sisters?? It was so awesome last night, I thought. I love that show.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh my gosh, I'm talking and I can't shut up. Can you tell I still haven't finished my chores??

I'd better go, even the poodles are looking at me with shame in their eyes ....

    ReplyDelete
  47. I never got into that show and I don't know why cause I love Sally Fields.

Excuse my ignorance but why couldn't you eat a cookie? Would one cookie fill you up or is it the sugar? I don't know a lot about your surgery so sorry for the dumb questions.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Not a dumb question at all! More than just a few grams of sugar will most likely make me sick. Some people can handle the sugar and some can't. I'm telling myself that I'm someone who can't because I really want to stay away from sweets. Also, too many carbs can make you sick--and I already found that out the hard way!

Eventually, most people can eat anything they want.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Just a lot less of it. (forgot to say.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thanks Sandie. Sounds like you have the right attitude. Do you think the holidays will be a temptation for you or are you past that point now?

    ReplyDelete
  51. ***After waiting patiently all afternoon darkness is finally falling on Owl Manor. Putting on my sweater, jacket, ski pants, scarf, wool socks, boots, mittens and hat I can now begin. Sneaking out the back door of Owl Manor and under the cover of darkness I disappear into the forest. A small light is strapped to my head to see with. I take a large branch from a fir tree and wipe away my tracks. After travelling for about 30 minutes I come upon a small abandoned building. Years ago it was used as an ice house. Today it is mine. I disarm the alarm and unlock the deadbolt. The door swings open and I go inside closing the door behind me.***

    ReplyDelete
  52. Thanks, Shirley. It's weird but sweets just don't call my name anymore. I have no desire for them. In fact, food in general just doesn't mean the same thing anymore. It's just something I have to do to. At first that was emotional for me, it was like I lost a good friend. But now that it's been a couple of months (2 today!) I feel like I've come to terms with it.

I actually crave meat. Oooh, that doesn't sound right!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Okay, Shirley, I'm a little scared. What do you have in that abandoned building??? Is that where you keep your water arsenal???

    ReplyDelete
  54. Food should never rule your life. Good for you for all you have been able to accomplish. Keep up the good work! Is there anything special I can add to the breakfast menue for you?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Can't tell. You will just have to wait and see. Hee! Hee! Hee!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Awww, Shirley, you're so sweet! Yes, as a matter of fact! You could add a protein shake for me!

    Thanks!

Can't wait to find out what you're up to ....

    ReplyDelete
  57. OK, one protein shake has been added. I'm off to find something for supper. Nice chatting with you Sandie! ((Hugs)) Thanks for the coffee and chocolate chip cookies!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Afternoon Owls!

I am home! Just a FYI the nurse told me that Peri-menopausal women are more prone to bladder infections. Just a heads up for all of you! Isn't that lovely?

I took the pain killer prescribed and guess what? I am now peeing a very lovely sunset yellow color! TMI? sorry just thought I would share some of my misery with you all.

Carol I am seeing yellow everywhere!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oh Lynn, you are flushing all your yellow.

    ReplyDelete
  60. That was weird. I lost my post completely.

Shirley I had completely forgotten about my one time being first in the nest. I still have a hard time believing I really was, it's so out of character for me to be up early.

Sandie Maybe you need more iron.

Slani I know. I need to follow my own advice. I love the cute Christmas kitty. I think he shares my general humbug attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hey Scirish, Congrats on first!

Carol: Great blog! I don't remember the first commercial, but I do remember and liked the second one.

Going to read comments. I am really tired tired tired tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  62. SacBarb Congrats on the 69. You deserve a nap. :)

LynnD You are peeing yellow and seeing yellow everywhere. I hope that doesn't mean you are peeing everywhere. LOL I hope the meds offer relief soon, the pain ones and the bladder ones.

    ReplyDelete
  63. LynnD & Whabby: Hubby and I had a waterbed for a long long time. About 8 years ago we got a regular bed. I like the regular bed better, not sure why. I think he liked the water bed better though..lol.

Lovely LynnD, thanks for letting me know I have something else to look forward too with the menopause stuff..yippee yi yee (said sarcastically, of course).

    Sacbarb: LOL at power surges!

Sandie: I LOVE Brothers & Sisters! I didn't get to see it last night because I had a Christmas party to attend. I wonder if they have episodes online? I triple love that show!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. LynnD: Glad to hear you are having a sunny day. Don't eat beets cause they turn something else RED...(okay, I know WAYYYYYyy too much informaiton there)..lol.

    Got to run, bbl.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I am taking a Christmas card writing break. I have another pre and post menopausal tragedy. That of CHIN HAIR! Ever since I was in my twenties I have always had 1 or 2 chin hairs, (may be my Russian heritage) but now they have multiplied. So to sum it up, what you have to look forward to is being a sweaty, chin haired, urine leaking, dried up prune! Bear & Joey, you must be sitting there with such envy. LOL

BEBBI, Your owl is cute beyond words.

SHIRLEY, If you don't write that book I am going to come up to Nova
Scotia and wring your neck. I watched The Amazing Race last night. The sister and brother won.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Slani LOL @ chin hair! I don't know what I'd do without my tweezers. I hope everyone already watched Amazing Race that wanted to.

    ReplyDelete
  67. ***Once inside I turn the lights on to reveal a winter wonderland! The floor has piles and piles of snowballs. The walls are lined with snowball launchers (thanks Bon'O) and cannons. Now I just have to get everything back to Owl Manor and into the dugout trenches I made on all sides of the house. The recent heavy snowfall has covered the trenches perfectly. No one will know they are there but me. The underground corridor will make it easy to get from one side to the other. I should have everything moved by daylight. This week promises to be a fun one!***

    ReplyDelete
  68. Lani you're going to have to piece it together from here. Lol!

    Hi Just Lin!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Howdy, everyone..

    i am SOOOOOOO excited...

Charlie Brown's Christmas is on tonight!!!

    YIPPEE!!!!!!! I can't wait!!

    hope all are well!!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Ironic that you say that MEK, because I am watching it NOW! lol

I haven't read all of the comments today, but I will soon;)

Still hunting a festive owl pic:)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Thanks MEK for the reminder about Charlie Brown. I had lost track of when it was going to be on.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Hi everyone!

Joey, sorry I nabbed that owl that you like. You can use it too, I think that would be cool!

    I'm so glad you're back, I've missed you :)

I had a waterbed in the 70s, loved it.

I'll never forget the time my mom was over visiting and she was helping me change the sheets on it, and a condom wrapper (empty) fell out of the sheets, on to the floor by her foot.

    Oops!

She didn't say a word, just continued making the bed.

    I was mortified.

I'm sure she thought her twenty-something daughter still had that halo above her head! haha!

I read the blog earlier, and need to watch the videos.

Lani, I LOVE your kitty cat Santa!! Tooo cute!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. EBJ LMAO @ the condom landing by your mom's foot! Maybe she was just thankful that condoms were being used.

OK, I have to go back to my work project that I do from home.

    ReplyDelete
  74. EBJ: That is funny about the condom.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks EBJ......I would like to see Poe wearing a Santa hat. I think we are supposed to get rain this week.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I love commercials and my stepdaughter loves the Gap!

More later, crazy fun night here...

    BBL.....

    ReplyDelete
  77. EBJ Oh, I forgot to say I think your owl and my kitty make a cute pair

    ReplyDelete
  78. Lani, I would love to find a tiny Santa hat for Poe! That would be really cute!

Not sure that he'd wear it, tho.

I just told MR. EBJ about the hat idea and he laughed, we think it might be possible if I hold Poe, slip the hat on him and MR. EBJ takes a picture quickly.

It rained here this morning, I had to go to Concord and was terrible to drive in it. Besides raining, it was foggy out too.

The sun kinda came out this afternoon, but stayed chilly all day.

Supposed to warm up (??) towards the weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  79. We have a waterbed too, but I think we might get rid of it at the end of the month.

Really don't want to because it is very warm.

However, we are moving to the bedroom downstairs and we have no idea how we hook it all up downstairs.

    ReplyDelete
  80. When I was pregnant with baby #3 I slept on the floor for the first four months, because I had morning sickness really bad.

    ReplyDelete
  81. EBJ, You are so lucky to have an African Grey living with you. They are so smart AND funny AND sometimes like juvenile delinquents. Maybe the rain is just traveling very very slowly in this direction.

ITEACH Do you not have indoor plumbing on the bottom floor? LOL
That must have been a fun 4 months.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Lani, Poe cracks us up all the time. He has learned how to cry like Paula (cat) when she has a bladder infection.

She makes a certain painful cry when she gets sick, and several times recently I have heard the cry, and started to worry and call the vet, only to find her asleep. Poe is the culprit!

Have you heard of Mickaboo bird rescue in Pacifica, I think they have several greys for adoption. Have you been there? I'd love to check it out.

I saw 4 greys for sale in the bay area on Craigslist this past weekend, I was shocked. Seldome see any, but guess the economy is forcing pets out too.

I hope they get good homes.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Congrats on your march to 100 Shirley!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Lani: I can relate to the chin hair debacle! That is the most horrible thing for me to deal with and I have plenty of them. If I ever come into some money, the first thing I will do is get that shit permanently removed! Thank God for tweezers!

Okay..now you all know. I am a slightly graying, older coot with chin hairs and a lot of baggy clothes. Now, don't I sound attractive..roflmao. *sigh*.

But, I still walked 12,564 steps today so my legs work pretty good. They are my last redeeming feature. That and my rather larger hooters.

Okay, I am getting a little silly. Sorry...I am tired and am going to head to bed. Everybody have a wonderful night and Sweet Dreams!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. EBJ: I have a cockatiel. Mr. Bebbi got him for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. He is not a friendly one though, even though I spoil that bird. I even put a heater near his cage, bring him special treats, etc. He won't come near me. Biggest mistake I made was letting him buddy up with the parakeet when we first got him. He was nice and friendly then, but you know how birds get when they are around other birds sometimes. okay now I am really off to beddy bye.

    So ta ta for now.

    ReplyDelete
  86. A quick Good Night to all before laughing/crying over the series finale of Boston Legal in a minute. Sure gonna miss my Alan & Denny Crane!

Sandie~~I watched Brothers & Sisters last night. It was fantastic! Definitely the best staging, if not the best acting, on network TV now.

Lani~~Stop it already with the Martha Stewart, you goof. As domestic goddesses go, I'm much more Rosanne than Martha!

  87. EBJ & BEBBI I AM ROFLMAO

BEBBI, Maybe we could play Santa Claus next year if our beards get any thicker. I am deciding if I should dye my hair again. It is growing out and sometimes it looks silver to me, but when I was looking at it today it looked silver/green. Do you think we are divulging TMI?

EBJ, Yes I have heard of Mickaboo, but haven't been there. I should check it out. Actually, I didn't realize it was in Pacifica. Right now I have 3 Amazons that were hand me downs. The Red Head is very sweet. The Orange Wing will bite, but the Red Head and the Orange wing love each other. The yellow Head is the only one who talks. He laughs and sing opera and barks and says a few words. They love to start in with the noise when I am on the phone. Linda says she can hear the birds better than she can hear me.I know it is rare to see some one giving up an African Grey. We had one living at the Vet Hospital for years. She was a character. LOL at the cat cry imitation. (not the bladder infection part)

  88. BON, I never saw Roseanne in such a classy snap-front. The only difference between you and Martha Stewart is you were never convicted for insider trading!

WHICH ONE DO YOU LIKE BEST:
    a. Martha Stewart {_}
    b. Recipe Sister {_}
    c. None of the above {_}

  89. LOL at everybody's waterbed stories!

The dirty deed is done.... not a trace of the old dinosaur remains, and I just stretched out on my fabulous brand new Eastern King bed!

Feels pretty good... and I know Mr Whabbear will appreciate it. He had enormous trouble getting in and out of the waterbed.

    EBJ: Poe the Parrot rocks!

  90. Sneaking in here after everyone else has gone to bed....

Haven't even had time to watch Brothers & Sisters OR Boston Legal tonight.

Pups are at the dog-sitter and I'm fixing to go up and pack. Foster dog Arnie is staying home (he's too afraid to be anywhere else) with the housesitter.

Early flight in the am, then driving to visit my son in his first apartment! YH and I are taking him out to dinner tomorrow night. On Wednesday morning we will buy and decorate a tree for him while he's at work. I got a personalized ornamint with "First Apartment" and his address on it for him.

On to Oklahoma to spend a couple of days with MIL, down to Waco for a wedding on Saturday, a visit with old friends in Austin on Sunday, then flying home.

I'm gonna be a very tired old bird at work next week!

Hoping to check in while we're gone but if not, have a great week all! I'm looking forward to seeing what Shirley has in store for you!
