My little piece of paradise!
And I ask my Owl friends….where’s your paradise on earth? Is it a place, a room, a song to retreat to?
Hehehe now I am going to the beach!
ReplyDeletedamn it!
ReplyDeleteLYNN...congrats on 1st!!
SHIRLEY...I got 3rd again!! Mark that down, ok? LOL
ReplyDeleteI am going to read VIGS paradise...bbl
Morning Glories!
ReplyDeleteHmmm I see Mo is swearing at me already this morning.
Vig I love our local beaches and that is where I escape to when I can. But I have to say I want to go where you just came from!! That looks heavenly. I could almost feel the sun on my back and feet looking at your pictures. (sigh)
Lynndeeeee......You must be wearing your track shoes again!! Congrats on first!
ReplyDeleteVig...Your getaway place looks wonderful! I love the beach...any beach! SO and I were just looking at air fare to CA. We have only been there once, but have decided that's where we want to move to. Unfortunately, Mom does not. *sigh*
ReplyDelete7
ReplyDeleteVIG...sooo beautiful. I wish I was there...NOW! Thanks for sharing a piece of paradise with us.
ReplyDeleteLYNN...I was swearing at myself for missing 1st! But if I was swearing at you, it would only be with the utmost love and respect!
SCIRISH...good morning to you.
VIG...I used to think of Palm Springs as my slice of heaven. I would go there to rejuvenate, like no where else allowed me to do. 3 days there and I was a new person.
IBB...good morning!
ReplyDeleteGOOD MORNING OWLETTES!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLynn D Congrats on 1st...
Mo...
3rd again....!!!WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!
Scirish... Morning...
I am a beach bum at heart... the pocket book only allows once a year and only for a couple days....
but when I win the lottery...
hope you all have a good day...
and that was 8 not 7... messing up the count already!!!
Waving a wing at all who land later...
Morning Scrishy as a matter of fact I do have my runners on! LOL With my PJ's.

Good Morning IBB!
I want to go to the sunny beach....
Good Morning Hooters!
ReplyDeleteWay to go lynn!!
Vig- you described my personal fav place. I want to go to the caribbean right now!!!
My second favorite escape is tucked in bed with Brynn and Gavin on either side watching cartoons. Now that is heaven on earth!!
Off to work I go. BBL
VIg... Beautiful pictures....
ReplyDeleteI will look often today.. and pretend that my 26 degrees is NOT...
Mo...I have heard so many people say they love Palm Springs...What's it like?
ReplyDeleteMorning IBB
Morning Goldie!!!
ReplyDeleteLynnD...isn't it too early for well anything in the west right now...
ReplyDeleteI mean come on running shoes already!!!
it is only 6:30 there ??/ right???
SCIRISH...I haven't been there in way too many years, but to me it was perfect. Dry heat..lots of it!Palm trees billowing in the breeze. Laying at the pool all day as fluffy clouds dotted a perfectly blue sunlit sky, walking up and down the main street, window shopping in the evening and a good meal. No one to call me, page me or complain to me. A little casino action at night and early to bed due to being out in the sun at the pool all day.
ReplyDeleteMy dream at that time was to retire there. Now my dream would just be able to retire!
Morning Goldie!
ReplyDeleteIbb I got up at 5:00 am. Let the dogs out made coffee. I always slip my runners on in the morning because I usually have to take Mr. Lynn D to his ride share but he is going in later this morning. Did he share that info with me? Uh Nooooo I could have slept in.
Yes I usually wear my flannel PJ's and a sweat shirt to run him in! LOL
LOL - that was twenty
ReplyDeleteMo...It sounds perfect!!! We are thinking about the San Diego area (Oceanside) if we ever get to "retire" but I think we will add Palm Springs as a place to investigate!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!!
ReplyDeletegood morning.......
Lynn - congrats on FIRST... don't you really dislike when the hubby fails to inform.....??
waving howdy to Lynn, Mo, Scirish, IBB (I messed up a count today also), Goldie, and all who land!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
25 for Goldie
ReplyDeleteVIG - thank you for sharing your travel diary with us today..
ReplyDeleteI am So glad that you had a wonderful time - you deserved it!!
Lynndeeee...And here I thought you slept in your runners :-)
ReplyDeleteBtw...The only time I ever went out in my pj's, I got stopped for having a taillight out. The police officer complimented me on my Winnie the Poo ensemble!
Good Morning Everyone!!
ReplyDeleteVIG: Where is my paradise? When we lived in California, I loved going to Balboa Beach. There is nothing quite like watching the sunset and listening to the waves while sitting on the beach. I sometimes think that's what Heaven is going to be like.
For me, paradise can also just be a state of mind. If I can just not worry, just not hurt...that would be paradise for me...even if I was just sitting in the recliner.
Loved your blog today Auntie Nort. I hope you'll post more pictures soon. I'm glad you found such a wonderful place for your vacation, and that you had such a good time. Oh, and I'm glad you liked the orange juice too!! ;)
LYNND: Congrats on FIRST..what kinda of sneakers do you wear anyway?? ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL@ MO at third...btw..what did you think of the windmills in PS, they're something else..aren't they?? Did you ever ride the tram?
SCIRISH: We used to live about 90 minutes from Palm Springs, my BIL lives and owns a business there. You do have to like the heat!
IBB: I think I'm a beach bum at heart too!
GLODIE: Your second fave place sounds wonderful!!
MEK: I love Colorado Springs..it really is beautiful. Garden of the Gods is gorgeous!
30
ReplyDeleteI left some comments at the end of the blog in AREA 51..just an fyi.
BBL
Zona - howdy!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing - about Dianne!!
What are the folks in Denver thinking this a.m.?!! just curious.
Tickets for the AZ game sold out in 6 minutes........
VIG - my special place that I LOVE to go - is the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs..... it's a little slice of heaven..
ReplyDeleteand if it's not a place that I can be -
I would say - being with my little nephews - I just can't get enough of them!!
:-)
well, I sure wish I was on that 'get away' right now. I made the mistake of coming to work today and it is going to be a longggggggg day I can tell already!
ReplyDeletePeople are cranky, there was no place to park, so i had to use the handicapped stall (I do have a handicap permit)which I hate doing and to top it off my printer is not working right.
*sigh* I should have stayed home. Oh well, back to it.. lets see if anyone pisses me off enough to make me decide I have a headache and need to go home!!!
Iteach - I am thinking of you today - but I KNOW you will do AMAZINGLY well.......
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))
Goldie - (((HUGS))) - hope your day gets better!!
ReplyDeleteI need to "get to it" also - I have a to do list a mile long and it just keeps getting longer!!
bbl...
VIG: Sitting out on our back patio in Palm Springs, looking out at the mountains.
ReplyDeleteBut my favorite vacation of all time was a week in Zihuatanejo, so I sure know what you mean about the beaches on Mexico's West Coast! Gorgeous!
scirish: Mr Whabbear and I bought a condo in PS in 04, and plan to retire there for at least half the year some day. We were down for 12 days after Christmas, and will be back for a week in March.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Palm Springs, and 'weenie described it perfectly.
Oh... and lest we forget... it's so Gay! LOL!
I'd definitely put it on the list of places to check out for retirement!
Hi Everybody! Thanks so much for your amazing comments and your descriptions of little pieces of heaven on earth! I wish I was at all of those place right now....instead of stuck in the Vancouver airport - the plane can't leace because of crappy winter conditions in the town where I am headed! Ahhh....I will just sit here on the floor (where I can plug in my laptop) and dream of Washington beaches, California, Palm Springs, the Carribean, Balboa beach, Garden of the Gods, Zihuatenajo.......
ReplyDeleteVIG...sorry you are stuck in the airport, but better safe then sorry. At least you have lots of dreamy places to imagine!
ReplyDeleteIt's noonish and I still haven't gotten dressed! I need to run some errands...but the blankies are much more inviting...and warm!
VIG~~Just keep thinking SUN & SAND! Please add my faves to the list:
ReplyDeleteCANNON BEACH, Oregon
HOTEL DEL CORONADO, San Diego
and the entire island of KAUAI...aaahh, it's all about the beaches.
40...
ReplyDeleteWHOOPS.... That was 41...
ReplyDeleteGood MOrning Everyone!! Brrr it's cold here and snowing hard. I had a dentist appt but they called and said the dentist was stuck in the snow. I was glad to not have to try and drive as it is about an hour away. Good day to stay home.
ReplyDeleteI have been off the computer all weekend and catching up on all the comments.
HAPPY LATE ANNIVERSARY TO ALL THE OWLS!! I love being able to come to the nest and read and visit and meet so many people. I have been so lucky to meet MEK and BEAR. I want to again thank Carol for giving birth to the blog and for including me.
SHIRLEY: I wondered what all the water was all over the manor...sorry I missed your snow and water guns. I might remind you that I have a red balloon someone sent me that I can fill up and throw to defend myself at any time.
BONO: Thanks for the patch. When I was reading the comments, I thought it was patch to stop doing one of my many habits...like eating! JUST/LIN..instead of putting it on your robe why not put it on your underwear (your thong) with your pedometer?
VIG: I am so glad that you had a wonderful vacation and it does look like paradise. I can think of a lot of things...being on a cruise, spending time with my 5 grandchildren, being able to be retired. Also, that you for the cute newpaper anniversary comment.
SACBARB: Are you feeling better? Don't be rushing getting out and about. You need to rest. Get well soon.
TINA: I am so sorry about the tragedy of your friends. I am also sorry that your daughter is having to experience such grief at a young age. Hugs to all of you.
DONNA: I will continue to PUSH for your dad and all of your family. Take care of yourself as you can get exhausted (you probably are).
TINK: Are you feeling better? I miss seeing your comments and worry about you. Take care...
to be con't
Hmmm, maybe I need to find a different link for Hotel Del? It worked the first time, but I went via MS and guess 'Tom' doesn't like it now.
ReplyDeleteStay cozy, Dianne!
I wanted to say hello to IBB, MEK, MO, ZONA, BEAR,BONO,LYNND,SCIRISH, VIG, and GOLDIE. I think that is everyone clicked on so far today. Hi to the ones to fly in later.
ReplyDeleteMO: Thank you for my 2009 wish in Area 51! You sure know each of us pretty darn good. I hope for your year to be better and that you win the lotto!!
I so agree with you about the blankets calling. I don't want to "rumble under them" or whatever it was that ZONA does..I just want to not do things around here and get warm.
ZONA: It is funny because when I saw your blog title yesterday, I also thought right away about you falling and sliding, etc.
This was a good football weekend as it will be over soon. MEK AND ZONA: I was so glad to see Arizona win their game. MrD and I watched it like it was a Bronco game. I hope they win next week too. I was also cheering for San Diego but I guess not loud enough.
Yes, we do have a new coach in Denver. I really haven't heard of him and the announcement came late on the news last night. I will have to see what the media has to say but I do know they think he is very young. Actually, I think he is the youngest coach right now. I will be interested to see how the season goes next year and also who he brings along with him to be his assistants. I guess the verdict is out right now....but change is good, right?
My gosh, they are showing on tv that we have 8" of snow! Now I am really glad I stayed home.
I think I will crawl back in bed "just for a few minutes" and watch some tv and get warm. Have a good afternoon everyone!
OK, I'm confused. It works again. NOW, I can get busy. BBL to read about all your favorite get-aways. Have a GREAT day!
ReplyDeleteIteach~~I'm sure your eval will be/was super. Tell us about your day when you can.
Lynn~~Keep representing the PNW! And get your Mozilla installed, dang it. I miss you on MS!!
I just posted my first blog on my ."My Space" page...
ReplyDeleteGood day to all in the nest!
ReplyDeleteWe are bracing for the snow, high winds, and freezing temps coming our way. We love out Canadian neighbors, but would you please keep your cold "fronts" to yourselves, we will be freezing our "backs" lol!
Vig, that is Mr Mary's worst past time, waiting in airports, especially smokeless airports! I think Denver is the only one with a smoking area.
When I want to "get away" my mind goes back to Italy & France. Riding down the Seine River in Paris and sitting at the outside tables people watching.I could look at the Gallery art for hours! I then go to the beaches in Hawaii and California that I loved so much.
In April I will fulfill another dream by going on a Caribbean Cruise. I'm sure that will give me more mind get-a-ways! Now if I could just take all of you with me, THAT would be a mind boggling memory!
Tinka & SacBarb, sending {{warm hugs}} your way, rest,rest,rest!
I am still curious if you west coasters got the "finger" last night watching the Golden Globes.
Good morning/afternoon!
ReplyDeleteVIG where are you off to that you are waiting at the airport?
Love your blog and pics, sounds like your Mexican getaway was perfect in every way! I'm so glad you had a wonderful time!
I think my favorite place is the Mendocino coast of N. Calif. There is a place called Little River Inn, which is right on the coast and is the most romantic place I've ever been to.
www.littleriverinn.com
The beaches are pristine and the scenery is gorgeous. Taking the drive up the coast is breathtaking.
I love Maui too, and the beaches there.
Mary, what happened on the GG last night? What finger?? Who's finger?
We watched for a while, then went to bed and watched something else.
Jodi I made apple crisp yesterday, turned out delish! Have you ever made it with the peel left on the apples? I almost tried it but didn't.
VIG~ what a lovely blog~ That is where Mr. Tina wants to retire...oy...not me~ My getaways are either Rome, Paris, or the Greek Islands. That's where I always want to go on vacation. I don't really need a beach.
ReplyDeleteLynnD~ congrats on first~ Don't you hate it when the Mr. "forgets" to tell you things? Mine 'forgot' to tell me what time my son's basketball game was on saturday and I missed half of it!!!!
Scirish~ I'm probably in the minority, but i don't really care for Palm Springs~ Never been really thrilled with the desert...and my dad has a house out in Joshua Tree~ yikes~
Dianne~ maybe we should go somewhere to get out of this snow~ what do you think?
Tina, are cheating on me lol! I will tell Mr Mary he has his bed back bwa ha ha!!
ReplyDeleteEast Bay, one of the last winners made a joking comment to one of his friends. The friend gave him a BIG middle finger. The camera stayed on it for quite a time, cracked me up!
Hey everybody! Dang...my flight was cancelled due to crappy weather! I am trying to get to a city in the interior of the province called Penticton (home of the Ogopogo!!!!) to see students there. Trying again at 4pm this afternoon. In the meantime, I am in our Vancouver office supposedly working, but in reality dreaming about all the fantabulous places you all have written about today! Thanks so much for adding to my list of dreams!
ReplyDeleteEBJ~~Monterey and the Napa Valley are definitely #4 on my list. SO romantic! And one of the items on my Bucket List is a group dinner at THE FRENCH LAUNDRY
ReplyDeleteIf any Owls have dined there, please share the story!
Mary~ you get that bed back.....i didn't cancel LAS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVIG~ sorry ur flight was xxld...better safe than sorry, tho~ Sit back and have some OJ~
TINA and MARY...I want to go to Rome, too.
ReplyDeleteEBJ...as I was scrolling up (i read from the bottom up) I noticed your link and thought it said the LITTLE VIRGIN and thought, damn she's at the wrong blog!!
Mo~ speak for yourself....i think i grew mine back!~
ReplyDeleteZona....thanks for all the nice things you said in area 51! How kind are you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTina....yup, just sitting back "working"...sucking back the jugo de naranja...and plotting my rematch race to 69 since I get stepped on by Utah shoes yesterday.....
Tina, I'm with you on retiring in Europe. It is such a magical place. I could wander the cobblestone streets slipping through big wonderful wooden doors to see what is behind them and visiting all the Cathedrals!
ReplyDeleteI need to go back with some one who is not in their 20s and rushing everywhere!
60...is the coast clear?
ReplyDelete61
ReplyDeletelooking behind me....62

ReplyDeleteBono I have been to Yountville quite a few times, never to that restaurant. It does look interesting... did you check out their menu?
The sun is actually out here today, yipee!
neener neener, Utah girl!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 69 today VIG!! You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteI think I have 4 or 5 69's so far this year and VIG will be passing me up soon!
ReplyDeleteZona I liked your video from yesterday. Seeing Bruno was funny.
ReplyDeleteVIG I love your pictures and I'm glad you had a nice time.
I have always loved watching the ocean waves crash against the shore. I could sit for hours. Haven't done that in years now.
Congrats on 1st Lynn D and hi to Maureen, Scirish, IBB, Goldie, Mek, Zona, Whabbear, VIG, Bon'O, Dianne, Mary, EBJ and Tina.
EBJ~~Yep, checked the menu and have seen several shows about the place on the Travel Channel, including the gardens, how they shop daily, etc....but $240? Ouch!
ReplyDeletebtw, my dream used to be (still could be?) to live in one of those thatch-roofed cottages in Carmel. Gawd, how I love to dream!
Hi, Shirley!!!
Vig, you Spanish is amazing, I actually understood it lol! Orange juice!!
ReplyDeleteI hate the initials OJ Tina
Tina, we can be called the "Cherry Sistas" lol!!
ReplyDelete80
ReplyDeleteIBB, That was a sweet blog you wrote on MS. {{HUGS}} to you today.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary/Mi... it took me forever to write it.... had to have it just right...
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments and hugs...
VIG - Luv your blog today. Thanks for taking us along on your fantastic trip!!! Can't remember the last time we actually took a vacay....my hubby works construction, so NO vacation time. If he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. We do try about once a year to go "moteling"....the kids love it!! I myself am just waiting to win the powerball so I can make it to a beach in Hawaii!!! Mumu's are ready!! lol!!
ReplyDeleteIBB - Read your blog. (((HUGS))) to you today. I'm sure she is still there, although it does suck that she is gone.
MARY/MI - lol @ you and TINA being the "Cherry Sisters"!!! I didn't think that was possible....you two are freaks of nature. :O~
ReplyDeleteLYNN D - Congrats on first!!!
MO - Close...but congrats on 3rd!! Do you have the day off?!!?
Waving a wing @ the rest of the nest. I best get off the computer. Instead of accomplishing anything here, I went to the mall today!! I had to return a couple bras I purchased yesterday. I just wasn't thrilled with the fit. I did find better ones today....so now the "girls" are properly hoisted up again. And no, MEK, I didn't have to roll them up!!! :O~
Afternoon All!!
ReplyDeleteGOLDIE: How is your day going? I hope it got better and you didn't go home with a headache!
MEK: 6 MINUTES!! Wow..is this state starved for a championship team?? Dang...Mr. Z is going to have to drive right by the stadium on his way to work...maybe he should leave early, like on Friday!! ;)
DIANNE: Does this mean you want a Cardinals shirt?? ;)
ReplyDeleteITEACH: I bet your smiling right about now...you're a super teacher, so I know it went well.
BON'O: When I saw you write "now I'm confused..." I laughed, cuz that's me all the time! Thanks for the link...I'll check it out!
MARY: I really think you'll make lots of memories in Vegas with TINA..just wait and see! ;)
ReplyDeleteEBJ: In all the years we lived in Ca., Mr. Z and I never drove up the coast. I really think we need to do that.
VIG: I hope you find Ogopogo this time...I'm waiting for that picture!
TINA: LMAO!! Grew it back?? Oh geez..I hear they have surgery for that now..can you imagine?? And..why??
ReplyDeleteMARY: You too?? It's an epidemic!! ;)
JODI: Glad to hear you got proper support..lol..
IBB: I'll be sure to check your blog out on MS..but I'll send you {{hugs}} first..kay??
ReplyDeleteTINKA asked me to say HI for her and thank you all for your well wishes. She is feeling a little bit better, but is staying off of the computer for now. She is hoping to be back soon!
ReplyDeleteWe miss you TINKA!!
My internet is going on and off..on and off...on and off..this is definately NOT paradise!! ;)
ReplyDeleteDid I mention it's going to be 74 here on Wednesday and Thursday?? It's 70 right now...any cold owls want to visit??
ReplyDeleteI'd march to 100...but it's too hot. ;)
Zona, the temp here today is 70, although it doesn't feel quite that warm.
ReplyDeleteThe weather forcast over the weekend said we would have "spring-like temps" this week.
Definitely not a normal winter here!

ReplyDelete100 for Zona
ReplyDeleteFinally done reading comments for the last couple of days but of course have forgotten most of what I wanted to say but I'll try.
ReplyDeleteTina, what a nightmare for that family and all those affected. I pray they have some answers soon, although I know that won't do much for their grief. And yep, you gotta own a wii and the wii fit game to find out what your wii fit age is. If you do a body test, it gives you two balance challenges and determines your fitness age from that.
Donna, I'm PUSHing for you & your family.
Joey, I hope your sweetheart's troubles have begun to fade.
Bon, The French Laundry is on YH's bucket list as well. He thought it was something we might do for a special occassion until he looked up the prices. Maybe some day our adult children will chip in together and send us there. I think we're more likely to win the lottery...then we can afford to go there.
Vig, your vacation sounds lovely! I think I have too many favorites to count. The beach is where I tend to go when I'm trying to relax in the dentist chair. Now that I've learned how awesome snorkeling is, Aruba will be one of the visuals I'll employ when I'm facing an anxious moment.
Alaska is amazing - you can't even imagine how blue the sky is or how crisp the air is until you've been there.
Holland during tulip season is pretty incredible. When my dad was stationed in England, we took a bus tour in Holland. I think it was Rotterdam where they had a park planted with thousands upon thousands of tulips. There was a river of red tulips running through the park and all sorts of pictures that were 'painted' with the strategic planting of different colored tulips. Even as a young teen, I was able to appreciate that getaway.
Mary/MI, the TV screen was blacked out on the west coast so we didn't get to see the finger but I'm sure it's out there on you tube by now.
I'm playing couch potato this afternoon for no real reason other than once in awhile I just feel like taking a rest. Have a terrific afternoon/evening all!
Oh MEK & Zona, forgot to mention Garden of the Gods! We spent the night in Colorado Springs and went through GotG on our road trip last summer and it was breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteZona, give Tinka my best and congrats on your virtual march to 100, thanks to EBJ!
EBJ: Thank you!!! :D
ReplyDeleteCARYN: Holland sounds beautiful!! I'd love to see flower gardens like that. Here we have cactus..and I'm not too fond of them. Not because I fell on one either. ;)
Alaska would be a wonderful place to visit in say...July. ;)
CARYN...Does Holland, MI count? LOL! I was there once, but it was after tulip season.
ReplyDeleteI ran some errands today and stopped at the store to get lunch fixin's for the week. And darn, I didn't buy any chocolate! What the hell was I thinking? lol!
Zona...yup, got my camera. I am going 'pogo hunting....if I ever get out of this airport! Waiting again....maybe Ogopogo ate the plane!
ReplyDeleteThanks everbody for your amazing and wonderful comments about the blog, my vacation and your little piece of paradise! I have loved reading and dreaming of all the places that have been visited and all the possibilities! In the words of Dr. Suess....Oh, the places you'll go!
Congrats on first, LynnD!
ReplyDeleteI've had a crazy day but wanted to stop in to say Hi!
VIG, great blog--I needed it today! Funny but my favorite place is still Victoria!! And you live there, you lucky girl! I think it's just so beautiful there.
I'm so tired. I'm NOT going to watch Bachelor. Yes, I am. No, I'm not. Yes, I am ...
oh Sandie~ i love Victoria too~ the Mr and I honeymooned there~
ReplyDeleteCaryn~ thank you~ and I'm not getting the wii....i know what it will tell me! :)~
Mary~ lol at your ms comment~
Sandie, you should have heard MR. EBJ when I told him the Bachelor is on for 2 hours again tonight!
ReplyDeleteA huge groan, followed by several naughty words! haha
Zona, you're welcome :)
CARYN: I am going to try and not take it personal that you were in COLORADO this summer and forgot to meet up with me. I would have even driven to Garden of The Gods to meet you but I am thinking you probably drove right through Denver to get there. Any road trips planned this summer?
ReplyDeleteZONA: Mr D and I went on an cruise of Alaska two years ago in May and it was so nice. It was a little nippy but that was okay with us. I would love to go back again even on the exact same trip.
TINA: I forgot to mention earlier that I am glad you received your $10 from our bet. My dad taught me many years ago not to ever welch on a bet or I could get shot like Wild Bill or something. I have never forgotten those words. I mailed it right away in case you needed gas money. Now remember...I am paying you on the honor system that you really were in bed asleep at midnight on New Years Eve. EBJ; no more bets next year...sorry
Our snow is over. The commute this morning took most people 2-3 hours so glad I stayed home. Snow stopped about noon and now roads are dry. TINA, we really have had very little snow in Denver this winter.
ZONA: I don't think I am quite ready for a Cardinal shirt but I know three little boys that would love one....want all their sizes? C'mon Auntie Zona!!
EBJ AND SANDIE: I haven't told my husband that Bachelor is on for two hours...followed by Mama's Boys. He will be thrilled beyond belief!! Not... He was sweet enough to sit with me for the Red Carpet and the complete Golden Globes show last night..only from 6 to 10PM.
ReplyDeleteMARY/MI: Yes, they showed the guy giving the other guy the finger on our show. They didn't try to bleep it out and I was kind of surprised. I enjoyed the show but I love looking at all the fashions, etc. Remember....this owl love Miss America (which will be on soon in the next few weeks).
Caryn~ Thanks, I had a feeling it was blacked out. We even got to hear the naughty words lol!
ReplyDeleteDiane/Denver I like to look at the fashions too. I am waiting for the Fashion police to give their opinions.
ReplyDeleteMARY/MI: We heard the naughty words too. I wonder why they didn't black it out for mtn time?
ReplyDeleteMARY/MI: I didn't think anyone looked bad last night, did you? I hardly recognized Renee Zellweger when she came out. I thought some of the men could have cleaned up a little bit more but I loved all the women's fashions. I thought Eva Long....(however you spell it) looked so beautiful in her red dress. I did think Sally Field should have fixed her hair better but she wasn't nominated so I guess it didn't matter.
ReplyDeleteBACHELOR FANS: I forgot to mention last week that Jason was on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel. Ellen mentioned to him how much he liked the word amazing and then showed how many times they all were saying it. Jimmy told him it was nice he was engaged but he doubted it would work..that it never does! It was fun to see him being interviewed by these two different people. I do think he is cute and can't wait to see what old DeAnna has to say tonight! Hope he isn't engaged to her!!
Oh, VIG, very well written and what such a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that the evaluation is over, I think I did well, but I have to wait until next week to find out.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm in the midst of a blizzard, so tomorrow may be a snow day!!!
iteach we are expecting nasty weather here too. Tie down the hatches!!
ReplyDeleteMary, the weather in the next ten days also looks terrible.
ReplyDeleteDIANNE... that is TOO FUNNY that Ellen mentioned how many times they say AMAZING on the show!
ReplyDeleteWhat was Jason's response to that?
I made stuffed shells for dinner, they turned out really good.
Lynn D I forgot to tell you congrats on 1st today!
Iteach, glad your eval is over! Glad it went well!
ReplyDeleteWe will have temps in the 70s this week, no rain forcast for the next 10 days. We need rain badly.
Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteToday my principal evaluated me on reading. He watched me work with a small reading group with the rest of the class working on their learning stations.
So I had one eye on my small reading group and the other eye on my other students to make sure they weren't breaking rules at their learning stations.
I do this every day and I'm so amazed that I'm not cross-eyed.
Stuffed Shells sound so good!! Totally beats my vegetable salad.
ReplyDeleteMy slices of heaven-
ReplyDeleteNapping with my children
My classroom
At the park with my children
Any old library
Visiting deceased President's homes with the Mr.

ReplyDeleteI love watching baseball from anywhere!
BBL
ReplyDeleteDiane/Denver, the only one I was disappointed in was Angelina J. She looked like a plain Jane for a big event like that.
ReplyDeleteITEACH...I have every confidence that you aced your evaluation.
ReplyDeleteLynn,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1..
Vig,
Your blog today was exactly what was needed to warm my soul. I loved reading a page in your travel diary, and loved that you shared with us.. The pictures were perfect.. And my goodness Sandals in December, what a treat.. So very glad you enjoyed your holiday...
Thank you ever so much for taking the time to write the blog and sending it off to me...
I will def be looking at these pics all week.. as NJ is very cold today, and will be getting colder as the week progress's..
Who has watched The Bachelor already? I have a question to ask of the episode in a private message to someone who has already seen it.
ReplyDeleteHi CAROL!
Iteach,
ReplyDeleteI am sure you did very well today, and now for all your hard work, you might get a snow day!
:O)
Hi Mo.. :O)
ReplyDeleteI did not watch the bachelor, Monday nites for me are "Jon and Kate plus 8". I don't usually watch the bachelor till a couple weeks before it ends, so I can watch all the girls cry who don't get a rose, cause you know in 6 weeks they totally fell in love.. With a "amazing" person...
I think Mek and EBJ watch it, but their time zone is before ours, so that is not going to help ya..
ReplyDeleteI watched it, Mo!
ReplyDeleteI hope no one thinks of this as a spoiler--I think it's more of a heads up in case you were only going to watch it for one reason. Deanna was not on tonight. I guess those previews were for an upcoming episode--she wasn't even in the previews for next week.
ReplyDeleteHi Mo!
ReplyDeleteI watched it last week! It isn't on here yet tonight, another 15 minutes.
If you want you can get my email from Carol, I don't go onto MS much as it foads me off nearly every time.
Carol, MR. EBJ says the same thing as you, how AMAZING it is that alllllll those women "fall in love" soooo fast!
ReplyDeleteOf course he throws in a few naughty words haha!
Thanks EBJ and SANDIE.
ReplyDeleteActually, Sandie answered my question!
Now I'm watching Momma's Boys...oy!
EBJ,
ReplyDeleteI use the naughty words to..LOL it drives me crazy that they fall in love in 6 weeks, and are completely a mess when they are not picked..
I love watching them fall apart tho, as it is quite funny..
Geez, I sound so mean..
I hope that was okay that I said that! I just didn't want anyone watching just to see DeAnna (like I did!) only to find she wasn't on.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the 1 woman last week who said she quit her job to go on the show???
ReplyDeleteIs that insane or what?
I am not sure if she stayed or went home.
Then there is a stalker type who he kept!
Sandie:
ReplyDeleteI don't consider that a spoiler at all.... It is actually what you stated a heads up...
I am actually looking forward to seeing when her epi comes on, if you know when, will you let me know? Cause I am sure its going to be "AMAZING" just like her and the guy she just dumped were.. I can't remember his name.. wait was it Jessie?
Thanks, Carol! Yep, Jesse--her amazing, wonderful, love-of-her-life!
ReplyDeleteEBJ,
ReplyDeleteI think most of the girls that go on the show are looking for their TV spot to grow, and I am sure lots of them wish to me actress, and are thinking this is their way in...
Sandie:
ReplyDeleteYes.. Jessie.. They are a AMAZING couple.. that are no longer..
:O)
Sandie,
ReplyDeleteLOL "love of her life"
HA!
I never heard why they broke up--did you?
ReplyDeleteCarol, I agree. I think Shane (wasn't that her name that the British guy chose?) was absolutely in it for fame and glory. She was a trip. Remember she was his "little monkey!"
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think they are looking for fame, not romance or true love. SANDIE, good question. Why did Deanna and Jessie break up? Maybe I shall google it!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I say every season I'm not going to watch it because the whole premise of the show is so ridiculous but I just get this sick enjoyment out of watching these men and women make fools of themselves.
ReplyDeleteSandie:
ReplyDeleteOMG.. yes.. Lorenzo Lamos daughter she was so in it to be on TV.. I remember her face when he picked her she looked scared shit...That was so not what she signed up for..and shame on him for not seeing it.. Geez I saw right thru her..
His little Monkey.. lol...
Not so sure what that says about me since I consider that entertainment! LOL
ReplyDeleteMO:
ReplyDeleteI think she broke up with him.. something about the relationship going in a different direction she had hoped for...
I agree Sandie.. I have to laugh at the whole ordeal, as it has become a joke..
Yes, Mo, google away!! Too bad Zona isn't here--isn't she The Mother of all Googlers?
ReplyDeleteI'd better go nitey-nite. That darned alarm goes off way too early.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight Carol, Mo and EBJ.
Good night SANDIE.
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams
Goodnite Sandie.. Sleep well...
ReplyDeleteMO:
ReplyDeleteDid you find out anything about Deanna and Jessie.. did they do it, because they were not in love anymore...
Crap!
ReplyDelete"did they do it"
PORN...
I swear I need a intervention...
HA.. If they did do it cause they were not in love anymore, then they are crackwhores... LOL
ReplyDeleteI crack myself up..
:O)
Sandie:
ReplyDeleteJust saw your post... Zona mother of googlers.. lol
Carol, LOL! I'm guessing they did it! You just had to sneak that porn in before you went to sleep, didn't you???
ReplyDeleteDianne, I don't even remember where I was with the blog back in May/June, lol! Our trip through Colorado was very fast -- in one day, out the next, on our way home to California from visiting my family in Missouri. We hit the HoJo in Co Springs just before dark, had dinner and went straight to sleep. We probably spent all of 30 minutes at GotG before we got back on the highway.
ReplyDeleteThat was the first time we went that route and it was because we'll be leaving California this year and not likely to get back that way on a road trip any time soon.
Have a good night, all!
YH decided to get a free Redbox rental tonight and he picked Wall-e.

Sandie:
ReplyDeleteMaybe we both need interventions...
