This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

Elvis - Suspicious Minds
Chosen by EBJ
I think this is a good music video for a Sunday. I have always liked this Elvis song, and it is set to some good pictures.
Yes Goldie _ I was ecstatic when I saw the blog. It is one one my favourites of the King. That song starts playing when Myspace opens. I never thought about how it may annoy non-Elvis fans. I just never think there are any of those out there. By the way Good Morning my friend.
Good Morning Maureen - Congrats on lst.
Good Morning Lynn, Mek (thanks for thinking of me too,) and all the other owls that will visit the nest today.
I am a happy but tired camper today. Tia is home and seems to be better. Thank God for that. I hope I get some of the $1200 back from her insurance. Vets are very well paid here. I am tired from the worry so I think I may rest all day. As soon as I am 'perky' once more, I will catch up on old blogs, comments and answers my messages. Sorry about being away so long.
Have a great Sunday everyone. I am off to have breakfast.
Ibebold - Good Morning and thank you for the good wishes for Tia. Sometimes I think I love my dogs too much because of the pain I feel when they suffer. The thought of ever losing them sends me into a depression. I know I should have some balance but at my age that isn't going to happen.
Ibebold - It looks like I have missed some occurrences. You mentioned Lynn, yourself and Goldie. Whatever happened to you three, please get well soon. I must get those comments read. I wonder what else I have missed.
Tink- I hurt my ankle, not sure how and it has been swollen and very sore for a week. Finally got bullied into going to the dr. and they did a blood test to see if perhaps there was a blood clot (because of my history and recent surgery) and it was negative. (however they informed me there is a thing called a false negative).
Based on everything they think it is a ligament. Due to the lack of feeling in my feet, it is possible that I did something that I didn't really feel. If not better in 5 days then I go back for an ultrasound. I hope your dear little Tia is well on the way to recovery.
IBB- I hope your back is better soon too!
MEK- somehow with little Tug around, I doubt you will have a day of doing nothing!!
I am going to go to run some errands- I'll be back later.
G'Morning to LYNN...hope your back is better soon IBB...see above! MEK...have fun doing nuthin! TINKA...hoping Tia is doing even better today GOLDIE...please don't "run" errands. Walk slowly, protect your ankle!
LYNN...hope your back is better soon IBB...see above! MEK...have fun doing nuthin! TINKA...hoping Tia is doing even better today GOLDIE...please don't "run" errands. Walk slowly, protect your ankle!
Tinka - I KNEW you would love today's video - (and - sorry, I'm not a fan either)..
Goldie - you just hit the nail on the head - mr. mek was going to be on "puppy duty" today, so that I COULD do nothing - but he just left to go to Home Depot, Petsmart and who knows where else.
TINK - I do love Elvis Music. He sang from his heart, as well as his hips. ;)
MO - I hope your headache is somewhere in Mexico with Senor Amoeba.
IBB - LYNN - GOLDIE - I am sending you ice packs, heating pads, herbal remedies, a masseuse, and some of that old 60's pot smoking music......Can you feel the love.
EBJ - I love the picture of POE eating his banana. Now I have a picture, in my minds eye, of the two of you sitting there having breakfast together. It was very windy here overnight, but now quiet.
I am going to fix broccoli, shrimp & crab pasta today, and almond, cream cheese pastry.
Hello to the missing OWLS. I hope everyone is okay. Do you have the winter blahs, or are you just busy? Write home
EBJ - Love this song and video!! My Mom was a huge Elvis fan!!
TINKA - I knew you'd enjoy this video....:O) So good to see you today!!
GOLDIE - I just tried calling the house and MR. GOLDIE cracked me up!!! He said something about "You can tell a German, but you can't tell her much"!!!
Lani your pasta sounds delish! Can you email the recipe?? We LOVE crab and shrimp!
Poe has also had some grapes and broccoli this morning, and right now is eating his "birdy squares" (Harrison's pellets).
He LOVES cereal.
MEK I'm with you, not doing anything today (well, except laundry!).
I was going to go to Trader Joe's, but it is nasty outside, heavy rain at times.
A good day to stay in!
Tinka back when I was a vet tech, they had pet insurance available (I think the company was called VPI). I remember it was expensive, and not too many people bought it.
We have spent soooo much $$ on Paula just in the past year, and soooo much when Lilly was sick. I wonder if pet insurance would have been a good investment for us.
Do the benefits decrease as the pet ages? I guess I could do a little investigating just to satisfy my curiosity.
MO Good job getting in here first while the other owls were sleeping in.
LynnD, IBB, and Goldie I hope all of you feel better as the day goes on.
EBJ Great song and video today. There were a lot of photos that I had never seen before, kind of like a home movie.
Tinka I hope Tia gets much better as the day goes on, too. I used to be madly in love with Elvis. I still think he was extremely good looking and had a great voice. As a girl, I had his photos plastered all over the inside of my closet doors.
We had some really strong winds during the night. There will be tree branches and fences down around our town. It's still raining steadily with occasional wind gusts. I had to bring the hummingbird feeders in because of the strong winds, but there are dozens of small birds down at the regular feeders.
EBJ - I'll send it. I haven't looked into the VPI Ins. in some time, but it sure pays off if the patient has a major illness or accident. Also, the younger they are when applied for the less expensive. Just like people. Isn't it nice how our insurance goes up the older we get. I am sure it is because we are so much more valuable. LOL
EBJ - Re: Insurance for pets, one has to really read the fine print. I have a different one for Tia than I do for Tango's. Tia's is better but I have definitely got my money's worth from both of them. When Tango was three, her cruciate ligaments 'went out' and it was over $2000 for each knee. That claim alone paid for 10 years of premiums and there have been a lot more claims since. Vet bills are so high now. With Tango's plan the benefits decrease as she gets older and the premiums get higher. With Tia's, they claim they will never do that. I guess I can only wait and see.
Tinka I have a box of Elvis cards, too. I also have an Elvis magnet on my refrigerator that I picked up at Graceland. I also have a small Elvis figurine and special collector Elvis postage stamps that were given to me as gifts. :D
JL I've always wanted to go to Graceland. One of my good friends and I had started to plan a trip to see it but it never happened.
My best friend was born and raised in Palm Springs, and on a visit back, she went to the home where Elvis lived.
She once sent me some pics and the house has a life-size cardboard pic of Elvis that you could have your picture taken with!
I don't know if the house is always open for tourists, she happened to be invited to a party there, so maybe the cardboard Elvis was there just for that day!
Slan I did not get my "gare" or my gate fixed. I heard it crash to the ground last night with one of those strong gusts of wind. Your dinner tonight sounds delish. I am really looking forward to my beef stew.
Tinka Did you miss my comment about being an Elvis fan? There are a few of us here. :D
Elvis was a cool dude. Not when he was "blow-up Elvis". I mean before. When he was thin and not on drugs. I think I missed that time because well, I wasn't alive. When did he pass? 1971 or thereabouts?
I'm sorry to hear about all the injuries! What are you guys doing? Base jumping? Skydiving w/out parachutes? Backflips on motorcycles?
Just_Lin; Even the 1968 video of Elvis shows a gleam of what his future will be. He looks hardened in it. I like 50's Elvis. What a waste of a perfectly good man.
SACBARB texted me wanted me to say HI to everyone for her. She said her computer crashed and she is NOT a happy camper. She'll be back as soon as she can!
Personally, I think the guy with the toolbelt is taking up more of her time than she expected... ;)
I limped my way through errands and even got my hair colored and cut, Oh yeah my upper lip waxed too! That was fun as I had an audience. Two little girls waiting for their grandma to get finished and came to see the lady wax my lip. LOL They thought it was great. I should have charged admission.
I am home getting ready to eat pizza and just rest and watch the Oscars. Ankle is trying to give me hell again. So whatever I did to my back is pinching the sciatic. Yarghhhhhhh. I am thinking some liquid pain killer may be in the cards tonight.
My stew meat is simmering and smelling good. The rain and gusty winds continue.
iteach Never fear! I've got plenty of popcorn and everyone is welcome to have some. I've also got some chips and salsa and Hershey kisses. I think that's about it.
For Iteach and all the other owls who will be watching. Enjoy!
Pigs in a Blanket Baby Burgers on Baguettes Tomato Basil Finger Sandwiches Boneless Buffalo Wings Chicken Chili Cheese Cups Guacamole with Taco chips Cajun Appetizer Meatballs Fried Raviolis served with a variety of sauces like warmed marinara and Alfredo. Tiny Taco Tarts Mini Crab Cakes Mini Mushroom Sausage Quiches Assorted chips and dips Pretzels Popcorn Champagne, wine , beer Tangy fruit punch
OMG Shirley- I have died and gone to heaven with that menu!! Please make sure the popcorn has LOTS of butter on it!!
I limped my way around today too Lynn. Mr. Goldie was not overly pleased with me (hence his comment to Jodi) but I am going live. Icing again and waiting for the awards to start!
Just-Lin - I have you on my list of Elvis fans. The list isn't long but it's a quality list.
EJB - I went to Graceland in 1996. It was a wonderful trip. I didn't see any big cut-out of him but I have a picture taken by one of his cadillacs. All the rooms were opened except the top floor where the bedrooms were. I loved the "Leopard Room", or was it tigers? Now I can't remember.
Zona-my-Baby - How are you doing today? Call me tomorrow.
Jodi - Sorry I missed your call. I am home tomorrow morning.
VIG - I received your kind message.
Waving at all the other owls I didn't mention. I am rushing out to Dinner. Have a great night at the Academy Awards. Don't eat or drink too much. Love, Tinka
Mek, I had a flashback from last yr when you mentioned your fav Easter Candy, I remember how much you loved them. I think last yr you did eat the whole box.. :O)
Today I know my SSO 21yrs.. we did spend some time together today, it was good to reminisce. I was a mere 28yrs old when we first met.. We talked about our first meeting 21yrs ago today.. We had drinks together, and talked for 4hrs, we could not remember what we talked about, but he said he remembered me doing most of the talking.. I said "who me" lol.. We did remember what we were wearing, I will spare you all the details in our clothing choices, but remember we are from Jersey..lol and all you owls get your minds out of the gutter, porn was not included in our first meeting, I gave it a month... LOL
So strange that the charmer walked into my life again on Friday, its like the past is just surrounding me lately..
My mind is a clutter...Which means I will refrain from writing a blog for a couple of days, as you just never know what my written word will be....
cpgem - I ate MORE than a box full last year - remember me going to EVERY Walgreen's when they were on clearance....... heck, I even took a picture of my haul!!
:-)
I will NOT go overboard this year - congrats on your anniversary..
Mek, I think with Mickey Rourke its the whole "comeback" thing.. I was never crazy about him either.. I did not see his new movie tho, and they say it was good.. Love Marisa Tomei tho, she is a great actress, and I think she is so pretty...
MO; I didn't know we had to use plates for SHIRLEY'S spread. I just pulled my chair up with my fork in hand. I thought I was helping the earth by not using any paper plates...hope that wasn't rude! SHIRLEY: I was looking for the gingerbread pancakes but maybe they aren't an award show snack..but soon SHIRLEY, ok?
I had no idea that Hugh Jackman could sing so well. I loved the opening act and the musical that was just on. Dang it, Beyonce didn't sing my video song..
Peeking in, watching the oscars and enjoying Shirley's menu!! I hope everyone is doing really great. Sorry I have been MIA for a while, but it goes that way sometimes as I get back in the swing of work and all.
I hope everyone is well!
I have had car troubles and am kinda down about it, I really don't want a car payment.
So, well, my dad has surgery tomorrow and I won't be there unless something goes drastically wrong and I have to rent a car.
Take care everybody and I will try and get back in the swing soon.
Best song sure is different then my day. I don't think any of these songs are ones I'll be singing in the shower. I wish Mama Mia song would have been in the mix.
Ok, what dress do you all like the best and the least?
MO: Give Whoopi some slack. She doesn't even want to wear a dress.
Ok, here is something funny. My husband bought things to fix for dinner so I could watch this show. He also sampled a cake at a new store and ordered it and went back yesterday to get it for tonight. It looked yummy and he cut us both a piece and it tasted terrible. The whip cream and rasberries were good but not the "cake". Long story short..it was brie and was served in the store to him on a cracker and he got it from the deli. Now I like brie ok but not a big ole' hunk with whipped cream on it and thinking I am eating cake!
I always get so sad on all these shows when they show who died (even tho I already knew they died) and you are right,Queen Latifah does sing beautiful.
MEK: I like Jennifer much better than Jolie too.
I need to find some candy or GS cookies to get this taste out of my mouth. Poor Mr D...he said, "well, I tried to surprise you."
EBJ, love that song! When I first saw the post I was sure that Tinka wrote the blog today.
Tinka, **waving wildly** I'm an Elvis fan!! Nice to see you today--I'm so glad Tia is better.
EBJ, I have that pet insurance on my two poodles and it has saved me lots. From Remy's mysterious leg issues to Luc's eating batteries and rocks, it has been worth it. I think I pay around $400 a year (total for both). Shots alone cost me $150 a year.
Whabbear, you had me there for a second--I thought, "Wow, Whabbear said the same thing as Mo! What a coincidence!" lol
MEK, have a great week out on the links (isn't that how you say it?)!
Bebbi, prayers for your dad! Nice to see you.
Shirley, thanks for the yummy food! I had the Oscars on while I was reading. I don't get to into the award shows too much but I do enjoy seeing the dresses.

ReplyDeleteI'm gonna get a complex.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on first Mo! I thought there would be a bunch of posts as I slept in this morning.

ReplyDeleteThis seems to be the orthopedic ward this morning... LynnD and my back... and Goldies ankle...
ReplyDeleteGlad it was not too serious...
I was worried... I always think there is something underlying...
Ibebold - Good Morning and thank you for the good wishes for Tia. Sometimes I think I love my dogs too much because of the pain I feel when they suffer. The thought of ever losing them sends me into a depression. I know I should have some balance but at my age that isn't going to happen.
ReplyDeleteIbebold - It looks like I have missed some occurrences. You mentioned Lynn, yourself and Goldie. Whatever happened to you three, please get well soon. I must get those comments read. I wonder what else I have missed.

Good morning hooter!
ReplyDeleteIt's a soggy, cold, grey bay area morning.
I was never a big Elvis (sooorry Tinka!) but do really like today's song, plus a couple others.
When I see how Pricsilla looked back then, and how she looked on DWTS, it is quite an AMAZING transformation.
Poe and I are having some Grape Nuts cereal, it is one of his favorites (second only to Cheerios).
Congrats on 1st today MO!
Hope all our owls with orthopedic issues feel better as the day goes on!
I'll be back!
MEK - I am so excited for your part at the tournament. I hope the weather cooperates.
ReplyDeleteTINK - You could never annoy any one with your music, or anything else. It is so great so see you marching again.
BEAR - I guess there won't be any tennis today. Is it raining & windy down your way?
Hi to ITEACH - I hope you and your family are healing and the clouds of so much heartache have lifted.

It just dawned on me that I didn't say hi to HODI.....Hi HODI
ReplyDeleteBonacci To see Elvis at his finest, look at this song from his comback special in '68 after he was released from the army.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.truveo.com/Elvis-Thats-All-Right/id/17203908
Geez, he was cute!
Bonacci Elvis passed away in 1977.
ReplyDeleteJust_Lin; Even the 1968 video of Elvis shows a gleam of what his future will be. He looks hardened in it. I like 50's Elvis. What a waste of a perfectly good man.
ReplyDeleteBonacci I don't see the hardness that you do. I do agree that it is a shame that drugs and Hollywood, IMHO, ruined him.
ReplyDeleteEBJ - You got me started. I am listening to golden oldies. They are playing Harry Belefonte - Banana Boat (day-o) I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to pop in the AZ way and say HI! (MEK..lol)...
Went out to eat on Friday at somewhere other that IN N OUT and I'm paying for it. blech..

ReplyDeleteHi everyone!!
ReplyDeleteWho is in charge tonight of making popcorn for the Oscars?
Shirley, will you be able to whip up any Oscar treats for us?
I'm afraid all that I have at my house for treats is Cinderella and Power Ranger fruit snacks. :(
Hey gang!
ReplyDeleteI limped my way through errands and even got my hair colored and cut, Oh yeah my upper lip waxed too!
Have a great evening everyone!
My stew meat is simmering and smelling good. The rain and gusty winds continue.
ReplyDeleteiteach Never fear! I've got plenty of popcorn and everyone is welcome to have some. I've also got some chips and salsa and Hershey kisses. I think that's about it.
Oh, I could make root beer floats! :)

J/L thank you for the hershey kisses! :0
ReplyDeleteGoldie rest that ankle. :)
ReplyDeleteJust-Lin - I have you on my list of Elvis fans. The list isn't long but it's a quality list.
ReplyDeleteEJB - I went to Graceland in 1996.
Love, Tinka

ReplyDeleteShirley thank you for the food! I love crab cakes!!
ReplyDeleteMR. EBJ and I are probably in the minority of people who don't watch the Oscars, or any award shows really!
Tonight we will watch AMAZING Race, then whatever else is on after that.
MEK almost made YOUR dinner tonight, but will have that tomorrow instead. Tonight is tuna in curry sauce over rice, and salad.
Still windy and raining here, I was happy to stay in and watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and then Grease after that!
EBJ - you made me go look and see if Cold Case was a new one!! LOL but it's a repeat!!
ReplyDeleteWe certainly do enjoy YOUR dinner - it's become one of Mr. MEK's favs.
Goldie - ZOna isn't kidding - it's way worse than a tornado!! lmao
Can someone PLEASE tell me what is SOOOOOOOOOOOo exciting about this Mickey Rourke dude??
ReplyDeleteI am not getting it!!
EBJ I think The Amazing Race is AMAZING but will have to catch it on the internet tomorrow. I enjoy watching the Oscars and it's only once a year.
ReplyDeleteOMG...I just totally and completely fell in love with Hugh Jackman
ReplyDeleteMO - YES, he was/is AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteSHIRLEY...that is an award winning spread! The only problem is the plates are too small!!! Would it be wrong to use a platter?? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteEBJ,
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for a SMV, I agree, great pics, I also enjoyed Elvis, and this is one of my fav songs..
Thanks for taking the time to find the vid and send it off to me...

Mo,
ReplyDeleteHugh Jackman did a great job, loved the opening....
Mek,
ReplyDeleteI had a flashback from last yr when you mentioned your fav Easter Candy, I remember how much you loved them. I think last yr you did eat the whole box.. :O)
JustLin, Goldie, Iteach, Mek, Zona, EBJ, Mo and Carol I'm glad you liked the snacks. I'm off to bed. Enjoy your evening.
ReplyDeleteToday I know my SSO 21yrs.. we did spend some time together today, it was good to reminisce. I was a mere 28yrs old when we first met.. We talked about our first meeting 21yrs ago today.. We had drinks together, and talked for 4hrs, we could not remember what we talked about, but he said he remembered me doing most of the talking.. I said "who me" lol.. We did remember what we were wearing, I will spare you all the details in our clothing choices, but remember we are from Jersey..lol
ReplyDeleteand all you owls get your minds out of the gutter, porn was not included in our first meeting, I gave it a month... LOL
So strange that the charmer walked into my life again on Friday, its like the past is just surrounding me lately..
My mind is a clutter...Which means I will refrain from writing a blog for a couple of days, as you just never know what my written word will be....
:O)
Shirley,
ReplyDeleteGood nite, sleep well..
cpgem - I ate MORE than a box full last year - remember me going to EVERY Walgreen's when they were on clearance....... heck, I even took a picture of my haul!!
ReplyDelete:-)
I will NOT go overboard this year -
congrats on your anniversary..
Mek,
ReplyDeleteSo funny.. and do remember that.. So I guess you will be doing the same this year.. lol...
and
Thanks...♥♥♥
Tina,
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about what you said all weekend...
"The past is what makes us who we are today....."
So true!!!
Mek,
ReplyDeleteI think with Mickey Rourke its the whole "comeback" thing..
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Hugh Jackman could sing so well. I loved the opening act and the musical that was just on. Dang it, Beyonce didn't sing my video song..
Would it be a spoiler to share my favorite dress with everyone?
ReplyDeletePeeking in, watching the oscars and enjoying Shirley's menu!! I hope everyone is doing really great. Sorry I have been MIA for a while, but it goes that way sometimes as I get back in the swing of work and all.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is well!
I have had car troubles and am kinda down about it, I really don't want a car payment.
So, well, my dad has surgery tomorrow and I won't be there unless something goes drastically wrong and I have to rent a car.
Take care everybody and I will try and get back in the swing soon.
Hugs!! Bebbi
DIANNEeatinglikeshemeansitINDENVER
ReplyDeletewhy didn't I think of that...could have just pulled up to the table fork in hand! Next time!
CAROL...happy anniversary! It has been a whirlwind weekend for you. {{hugs}}
Okay, that last award made me cry.
ReplyDeleteITEACH...i don't think it would be a spoiler to share your favorite dress...i have my least favorite picked out already!!
ReplyDeleteBEBBI...hope your dad's surgery goes well and he makes a full and speedy recovery
Bebbi I've been wondering where you were. I'll keep your dad in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteBebbi,
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about you, sorry for the trouble you are having, I will keep your dad in my thoughts. Please keep us posted..
Iteach,

Oscars are boring me to tears...
ReplyDeleteHowever love this bollywood dance stuff.. way cool...
Jai HO! HA they thought of us when they named this song.. LOL
I feel like belly dancing, god knows I have enough to do it
:O)
The musical numbers have been outstanding
ReplyDeletehow much longer does this go on???
ReplyDeleteEBJ: Oh, the good old days of remembering Elvis.
ReplyDeleteBest song sure is different then my day. I don't think any of these songs are ones I'll be singing in the shower. I wish Mama Mia song would have been in the mix.
Ok, what dress do you all like the best and the least?
The 2 Japanese guys that have won have been hilarious...play ball!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else think Jenifer Aniston looked better the Angelina Jolie?
Ok, what the hell was Tilda Swinson wearing? And Whoopi's dress??????
MO Well, there's still the top 4 awards, right? Actor, Actress, Director and Movie.
ReplyDeletecrap - I just got FOAD after a long ass post.....
ReplyDeleteMO - this should only last another 20 minutes - but I am SURE it will run over.
cpgem - I am glad I'm not the only one this is boring to death!!
geez.........
I thought Miley Cyrus was dressed way tooooo old for her age. jmho
ReplyDeleteDianne - you crack me up!!! just pull up a stool!!!
ReplyDeletemy guide says 9:30pm,
ReplyDeletebut the 45 second rule has been broken a million times tonight!!
150
ReplyDeleteI love this oscar show *says the Miss America fan club member*
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, CAROL and also toyour SSO
MO - I ALWAYS think that jennifer looks better than Angie..
ReplyDeleteI still can't figure out WHAT the attraction is to her....
LOVE Aniston!!!!
JUST LIN...oy, still 4 more to go?
ReplyDeleteDianne - again - you are cracking me up!!!
ReplyDeleteJust Lin - yep - top four awards are left.......
ReplyDeleteQueen Latifah has a beautiful voice
ReplyDeleteSo, what are your best and worst dresses?
ReplyDeleteMO: Give Whoopi some slack. She doesn't even want to wear a dress.
ReplyDeleteOk, here is something funny.
Dianne_puking_up_the_brie_in_denver,
ReplyDeleteI don't like brie at all, I can even imagine eating it in a cake..
but ya gotta give props to Mr Dianne as he tried...
I always get so sad on all these shows when they show who died (even tho I already knew they died) and you are right,Queen Latifah does sing beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMEK: I like Jennifer much better than Jolie too.
I need to find some candy or GS cookies to get this taste out of my mouth. Poor Mr D...he said, "well, I tried to surprise you."
Holy craparoni...Sophia Loren is amazing!
ReplyDeleteMo,
ReplyDeleteI don't like Sophia, but she did look good tho..
Dianne_wishing_it_was_cake_in_Denver ROFLMAO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDo ya think Adrian Brody could have washed his hair??
ReplyDeleteDianne - I got SO excited when i just read that you have cake..
ReplyDeletebut - after then reading WHAT kind of cake..
sorry - I'll pass...
I am enjoying how they are bringing back the past winners to announce the nominees....
ReplyDeletevery classy...
where is Tina?
ReplyDelete168
ReplyDelete169
ReplyDeleteokay - THIS speech is hilarious
ReplyDeleteMy favorite dress is from Penelope Cruz. It is over 60 years old and I like vintage dresses.
ReplyDeleteBebbi- Thinking positive thoughts about your dad.
ReplyDeleteDid not like Miley's dress.
ReplyDeleteWhy was Miley there?
Don't you all like how they have the five introducing the people up for the awards? I think it is "tender" how they seem to speak to each one.
ReplyDeleteI want Sean Penn to win just to see what he will say. I am really surprised he is there. I thought he didn't come to award shows.
I don't think they were giving any Disney channel awards out.
ReplyDeleteWell, that was sort of a low blow on my comment about Miley. Oops
ReplyDeleteWhoops..I was wondering how you all were ahead of me. I forgot we paused this show for a bathroom break.
ReplyDeleteDIANNE and MEK...I agree. The past Oscar winners passing on the torch has been great.
ReplyDeleteITEACH...that was funny about Miley Cyrus! Can you say over-exposure? In more ways then one!
Iteach - I was wondering WHY Miley was there also.....
ReplyDeleteshe was SO excited that the dress just "jumped off the rack" at her..
WTH.........
Tug is chasing crickets outside - it's hilarious - cuz she is NOT catching any!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to really pay much attention to dresses, etc..
so - I'll have to see the pics later.
I do think Penelope looks beautiful tonight......
Okay - now that that is over..
ReplyDeleteI must go to bed......
we have to get up before 4a.m.
I won't be around much this week..
SO - I hope everyone has an excellent week.... I'll stop when when I can......
Look out Golf World - here i come!!!
;-)
Have a great time, MEK!
ReplyDeleteiteach,
ReplyDelete"low blow" :O)
I think it was just fine...
I am off to bed.. see ya all tomorrow..
Mek,
Enjoy your week, who will be on tug duty?
Iteach,
ReplyDeleteI liked PCruz dress to, I thought it was absolutely lovely!!!!
What happen to your avatar, I don't see it?
Hey MO--great first!
ReplyDeleteEBJ, love that song!
Healing thoughts to all the "ouch" owls!
Goodnight!
Carol Good night! Iteach's avatar is still there, you just can't see it. It's probably behind Venus. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood night feathered friends!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun watching the Oscars with you! And sharing in Shirley's feast.
I agree about Penelope Cruz's dress...stunning!
MEK...enjoy the tourney. I have a special avatar up, just for you! Just call me Piggy Woods!!
Nite all! Sweet dreams! I intend to dream about Hugh Jackman!
Good night, Owls! I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are off to the Links(as Sandie said)....
cpgem - we have a neighbor coming over a couple times during the day to take care of the little one!! thanks for asking.....
MO - I'm going to quickly go look at Pippy Woods!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
190 (what the heck)
ReplyDeleteOMG -
ReplyDeleteMO - LOVE IT........ thanks for thinking of us!!!
it's PERFECT!!!!
