  1. Good Moaning TINA! Did boy's basketball team win? And did they pay quietly?

  2. hi Mo~ the boys won and they did NOT pay anyone! They did however play loudly, but it was fun.....I haven't seen some of those parents for a while and it was fun to catch up~

  3. whew! ...bloody awful! Those Sugartits people should stop making up songs...its a affront to all the classic Christmas carols...which aren't that good either....

I prefer my Christmas music in French and Italian..."Minuit Chretiens" and "Ave Maria"...you know ...that sort of thing.....

    ReplyDelete
  4. TINA...so glad you didn't have to pay anyone! Damn typos!

DEE DEE...I love Ave Maria. Such a beautiful song. I think my favoite Christmas song is Mary Have You Heard (I think that's the name)

    ReplyDelete
  5. I googled...it's Mary Did You Know.

    ReplyDelete
  6. TINA...I first heard it on Clay Aiken's Christmas CD.

  7. Morning Glories!

    Tina is first yay!

I prefer Mickey Mouse doing the Hot Dog Dance to Grandma was run over by a Reindeer this morning.

    Waving at Mo and Deedee!

  8. Mark Lowry wrote that song....it is good....

but cha know I felt bad for Mary in that story. Hauled for miles on a mule then had to bed down in a stable just to get woke up by some wise guys with frankincense and myrrh...(stank)..at least one brought gold....

She wan't given a shower...although I don't know where she would have registered....somewhere along the lines of "POTTERY BARN" I suppose...(yuk yuk)...

I think somebody shoulda tipped her off..."Mary did you know" ...u r not going to come out well in all of this...so she could have opted out....

just think...that would have changed a story that is thousands of years old....had she opted out...it would've been Joseph and Jocelyn...or Betty!! Or it could have been a gay couple! Joseph and Larry!!

    That would have changed everything....

The catholics would be saying Hail Larry's and gay would be ok.....

    I guess Mary didn't know...

  14. Spurred on by Tina's blog, I've been wracking my brains trying to decide which traditional Christmas carol is my absolute favorite. Which one has that perfect mix of melody, message, and magnificence?

    And the winner is...

  21. Hello everyone. I'm just starting with the comments....

DeeDee, Andrea Bocelli does an amazing Ave Maria. But everything he does is amazing, yes? Except that knock off on Con Ti Partiro on Sesame Street a few years ago, anyway.

  25. Good evening feathered friends!

Back home from the Hanukkah party. I wasn't really in the mood, either. Thought of not going, but ended up in the end.

I didn't eat any latkes...well that's not exactly true. I had 8, but they were for ZONA, so it didn't count!

  26. There was this a-hole friend of the family there. He says to me, why did you have them fix your car? You could buy a new car. I was so pissed. I looked at him and said, Oh, are you going to GIVE me the rest of the money to pay it off? I wasn't very nice about it. He grunted and I walked away.

And Elaine's daughter and SIL didn't even come. I would give anything to celebrate with my mother. She pissed me off, too. There were a lot of her mother's friends there that gave her children nice gifts and she can't even spend 5 minutes to stop by and thank them for being so kind to her children.
    Grrrrrrr.

  33. in elem school we always figured you "not gifted nor particularly talented" kids had a short fuse....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Maureen you ate 8 of those things? Good grief! According to my research that is about 2/3 of a batch! They must have been good!(the onions would make me puke, ewww) What do you put on them, or do you put anything on them?

    ReplyDelete
  35. bwahaaaaaaa!!!! Didn't know how to eat!!! We had to shop for fabric at OC Tent and Awning!!!

  36. Dianne I hope you are feeling better. Miss you! ((HUGS)) Sorry about the Broncos today. According to Bruce on FB they didn't do too well.

  37. SHIRLEY...Elaine made 30 pounds of potatoes. I don't know how many batches that is. I put on a dollop of sour cream and a tiny dollop of apple sauce and lots of salt!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Goldie where have you been hiding? Lani? Birdee? Jodi? Beverly? SacBarb? Zona? Mary?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Maureen, I like apple sauce but not sour cream.

The recipe I read said 2 cups of mashed potatoes and that would make 10-12. So 30 potatoes would make a whole lot of them!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I love sour cream on my potato.. and I love apple sauce but not on my potato, I like apple sauce with my port chops!

    ReplyDelete
  41. CAROL...I like apple sauce on pork chops, but I never tried it on port chops...

SHIRLEY...we use grated taters, not mashed. She was frying them by 3 and was still frying them at 6:30! There was a shitload!

    ReplyDelete
  42. SHIRLEY...she had 30 POUNDS of taters, not 30 taters!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. OK Maureen I'm just going to agree with you that there was a shitload.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Carol, for me christmas is just another day. That's it. No sence in saying any more cause people just don't understand.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Maureen how the hell can you be hungry???

    ReplyDelete
  46. SHIRLEY...I understand.

What I don't understand is how I can be hungry!! Although, it was many hours ago that I ate.

  47. We are going to have a weather bomb here in the Maritimes tonight and tomorrow. Heavy rain and strong winds here but in New Brunswick they will get snow. It's raining pretty good now but the winds aren't too bad...yet.

FYI...a weather bomb is when the barametric pressure falls rapidly in a 24 hour period, resulting in heavy percipitaion and strong winds.

  48. Thanks Maureen!
