  2. Where is everyone? Shoveling snow?

It's cold here, but at the moment the sun is shining and no snow!

I'll be doing my errands early this afternoon before it comes down!

  5. From CNN Politics:

Members of the media and book-toting Sarah Palin supporters were asked to follow a surprisingly strict set of guidelines Friday as the former Alaska governor appeared in South Carolina on the final stop of a tour to promote her new book, "America By Heart."

Palin has been met with long lines at each stop during the two-week book tour, but fans at a Books-A-Million in suburban Columbia actually had to line up at the store twice: Once on Wednesday to enter a lottery for one of 500 wristbands that would guarantee them entry into the event, and if they got lucky, again on Friday night to actually meet the former Alaska governor.

Once inside, customers were required to present receipts for their books as a proof of purchase. They waited patiently as country music wafted through the box store, and several customers told CNN they had trekked all the way from Georgia or North Carolina for a moment with Palin.

That was until a store employee told the reporter that press were not permitted to speak with customers inside the store, or leave the roped-off cafe area that had been designated for them.

"It's a Sarah rule, not our rule," the employee said, apologetically. Another store representative told reporters that the strict rules were handed down via Palin's publishing house, HarperCollins.

Unlike Palin's stop in Iowa the previous day, members of the media were required to arrive at Books-A-Million three hours before the event to have their camera equipment, computers and cell phones inspected by officers provided by the Richland County Sheriff's Department and Palin's own security detail.

Reporters were told that live feeds of the event were not allowed, and questions were not to be asked.

And this from a woman who starts off every one of her speeches with "Do you LOVE your freedom?"

  6. Good morning!!

These pictures are not worth 1000 words....some 200 others more or less.....the one with the little girl at the strip show could be pretty valuable in a custody hearing...

Just shaking my head at Sarah Palin....now watch that stupid bitch get elected president....that would just figure in perfectly with the way the republicans are trying to steer this country...I watched Anderson Cooper shred a birther with facts....he wouldn't have any part of the facts....you can't reason with them....its like christians...if you could reason with them there wouldn't be any...

I swear I wish Palin would get struck by lightning...and become bbq for some moose....

or maybe NASA will find an inhabitable planet...the republicans can all move there....and beat their bibles til the alien cows come home...zero gravity will probably improve their golf games too!

  7. From what I understand Moose have more discriminating taste than that Deedee.

  12. Tina Good moaning, Beauty. These pics are all disturbing in different ways. I really don't like the first one. Just a couple of days ago, some little two year old was killed when playing with a loaded gun.

  16. Shirley A lot of people are...let's see, what's the word? Oh, yeah, "stupid".

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, the rest of the world already thinks it. Why not enforce it with a cacauphony of visual evidence?

As far as Palin goes, I don't like the woman. But I don't dislike her any more than than Obidiot.

  18. J/L....I am speaking in regard to piety....

Once again...not lumping everyone together....guess I should say the pious christians...

  19. Bonach Just as you were typing your comment, I was thinking that it isn't just our own countrymen/women that can be so stupid. There are stupid Swedes, Germans, Italians, Chinese, Arabs, etc. You name it and they all have members of their societies that are an embarrassment to them.

  20. DeeDee The Evangelical, Bible thumping, know-it-alls, turned me off from Christianity for many, many years. I have decided, that for me, it is best to go straight to the Bible and words of Jesus and leave organized religion out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. DeeDee, I think your frustration is with the politicos allowing religion to influence policy, yes? Great theory, Separation of Church and State. Too bad the implementation sucks.

  22. MO I didn't mean to ignore you as I got caught up in the discussion. I hope you are getting all your errands done before it starts snowing again. I've never lived in an area where it snows. Once, every few decades or so, we get a little snow here and it's quite the event.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just_Lin; you are of course right. But I was playing off of LynnD's 12.00 comment.

  36. Good evening feathered friends!

Did most everything on my list, except get a haircut.

I decided to do one-stop shopping and went to SuperWalMart. I got enough lunch things for almost the rest of the year! Soup, tuna, noodle bowls...I'm set!

Also stopped to buy a snow brush/scraper. Of course I have 2 in my car, but the rental has none. My gloves are also in my car, so I bought the 2 pr. for $1.40 at WW!

There was also a sweater set I have had my eyes on for a long while and it was on the Clearance Rack! SCORE!!

I got another book from the library and 4 more movies to keep me occupied tonight and tomorrow night! And, I moved up 30 places on the hold list for GLEE, the 1st season!!

So, even though it snowed, it was a pretty good day!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mo Sounds like you had a very good day with lots of accomplishments. Kudos on the score on the clearance rack sweater set. :)

I didn't accomplish very much today. Spent time helping the grandson with homework. Made beef stew, salad and biscuits for dinner. I have enough stew left over for another meal. I love when that happens.

  38. JUST LIN...your day sounds like a good one, too. You accomplished important things...family time.
