This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

~ Happy Passover ~
by Tina~in_ut
My sister showed me this video! She laughed and laughed while I watched it....as if she'd never seen it before!
Lynn- I am kind of grumpy too. Hope you are feeling better. I have been following the story of Eva, one of the most gorgeous baby ever seen. I love the picture on your daughter's avatar.
I am sorry Tina but I found that video a little strange. I guess I am not into computer humour. I love your Ricky Martin videos. I can watch them over and over.
I am having breakfast. Then I am going to have my dark roots touched up. LOL Really I don't know where the grey hairs are coming from. I am way too young for that to be happening. Right Dianne?? It will be almost noon and nap time when I get back so I will try to drop by the nest this afternoon. Have a great day everyone.
Tink, it just makes my soul happy to see you again here...omg, you have NO IDEA! :) So glad you are back and sorry to hear one of the fur babies was sick... ohh.. :(
Tina, I must be getting old. I had a little trouble reading that fast, but I liked the vid. My church held a Sader one year as a way for us Catholics to understand the Passover Ritual and I found it very interesting. The Rabbi and his wife explained each step and the reason for each food. I really liked the experience.
Happy Tuesday everyone! Tina, your beauty is getting tedious lol!! The vid was fast, but I got the idea. Prolly not far from the truth.I hear we all have our lives planned out somewhere, so a 'puter would certainly come in handy lol!!!
Mr Mary has had the worst cough for weeks. Last night he kept me up with it. Idiot went to the Casino anyway. On a good note, he said he wouldn't be smoking. I sure hope he means it! Prolly just until he quits coughing :(
Tinka, poor fur baby. I too love seeing your avatar here again.
LynnD, Sure hope Grumpy leaves and "Happy" hops in!
Bebbi,Derby Day is not far away. Keep your ears open :)
Hi Sacy! It was too fast for me too!! I am off to donate blood...
Hi Mary - Hope Mr. Mary is fine soon. Is smoking allowed in the casino? If so he will be getting second hand smoke and that won't be good for him. There is no smoking allowed here in any public building or even around them. The poor smokers don't like living here much but the rest of us love it.
SacBarb What are you up to today? I'm going to go to Curves and see what I can do. It's been over 2 weeks since my little surgery so I think it's safe to do now.
J/L! LOL, no in my car at the end of my lunch. It felt really nice..not too cold, nice breeze, smell of blossoms and spring..elixer for the soul. And, a great place to rest my weary bones for a few moments.
Zona - Yes I think Tia ate a straw that had been in chocolate milk. I really have to make sure she can't get at those. I think I am the only one who has a dog addictive to eating paper.
It was so easy today. I just comment and publish, no password needed. You have a magic touch. Talk to you later I hope.
Just got back from my Dad's. He was sleeping at the table when I got there, and was VERY disoriented when he woke up. The right side of his mouth was drooping and he was having a hard time talking. I don't know if he is having mini strokes, or if it the effect of lack of oxygen. All I wanted to do was hold him. He says the drooping and speech problem comes and goes. I just wish God would take him home....
Today my parents are married 59yrs.. omg.. that is such a long time, gosh next yr will be 60yrs.. I can't believe its so long.. actually neither can my mother! hehe
Its holy week, so things have def quieted down in here.. it is a great break from working so hard.. I am enjoying the quiet time.. I have a short week this week, I am closing on Friday (good friday), so instead of working I will be getting all things for me.. mani, pedi, hair.. and then Friday nite going to see Lady Gaga at the Pru Center.. my cousin bought the tickets months ago and its finally here.. My nephew and niece and there friends will be going as well, we are all not seating together tho, as we could not get seats together, so we will txt each other..
It should def be a sight to see, not sure what to expect..
CAROL - Thank you. After I got home I called my brother. He called Dad, and he couldn't understand a word he said. It really shook him up. We are meeting at Dad's house tomorrow after Eric gets done with work. Not sure what we will find, but will be facing it together. Enjoy the concert!! I'm sure it will be fabulous ♥
Tinka so good to see you post. I am very happy to hear your fur baby is doing well. Eva is a joy and is hitting mile stones everyday.
She had her first belly laughs two weeks ago. Grandpa got her going. Whabby the answer to you question is babies start real belly laughs at about 2 and half to 3 months old.
Carol I am so happy to hear I am not the only grumpy one of late. Congratulations to your parents! WOW!
Jodi sending you hugs and good thoughts. I really hope you guys can make some decisions about your Dad together.
Waving at you all!
I have another Doc appt. tomorrow maybe we can figure out the crazy at this one. :)
Lynn - There is nothing so precious as a babies' real belly laugh. My grandson ( 11 months old) doesn't laugh as often as his older sister did. I think it's because he has allergies and lots of days he is just plain "Grumpy" and I don't blame him. Eva looks like she loves to laugh.
Jodi - My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It is one of the hardest season of your life when your parents start to fail. As kids we thought we would have them strong and wise with us forever.
Lynn - Good luck at the doctor's tomorrow. I hope she/he helps you. I have an appointment with my regular doctor tomorrow too. He said when the specialists give up, it's back to your regular doctor for maintenance. That's the point I am at now.
Watching the Stanley cup playoffs- Vancouver Canucks vs. Chicago Hawks. The Hawks are really "on fire" tonight. They are ahead 5 to 1. This is the fourth game out of 7. Vancouver won the first 3 games but I don't think they have a chance tonight. Any hockey fans out there?
mcTINA...you look smashing! I loved the video! No time to bake, grab the matzah!!! LMAO!!
Tina sent me the vid over the weekend to check out and to see if it was offensive. I was afraid of what it was and afraid of being kicked out of the library! So, I took the last computer that is next to the wall. I turned the monitor to the wall so no one could see!! I was laughing!! So funny!
TINKA...did you make your hot cross buns yet?
CAROL...HAPPY 59th to Sarah and CiCi! And enjoy the concert. Glad you having YOU time.
HODI...thoughts and prayers to you and your dad. So very hard to watch someone you love so dearly suffer and feel so powerless. {{HUGS}}
Thanks for the Passover wishes. Had another feast tonight, but I was much more conservative in my portions!! I didn't have to get off the freeway and hit up a gas station restroom (yes, the ladies room!)before I could make it home!!
We are having a nasty thunderstorm. It seems the thunder gets louder and louder. ICK!
Hi Maureen - I should have made my Hot Cross Buns early this week but with all my and Jack's appointments it won't be until Friday. I hope they turn out as I don't get a second chance.
Tinka 'Go Red Wings!! lol! Our mini Doxi loves to eat the stuffing out of anything especially my kitchen chair cushions. I need to sew some straps on them to keep them on the chairs. Mr Mary came home a little "lite" from the Casino lol! The Indian Casinos have smoking. Nasty. At least the restaurants and hotel area are non smoking.
Jodi, I feel so sad about your Dad. He seems to be failing fast. I am surprised he is still living alone. Call me if you need to talk.
Happy Anniversary to your parents, CAROL. I wonder if I add mine together if I will ever make a 59th year...doubtful.
JODI: I am so sorry your dad is suffering so much. I know how hard it is to watch your parents be sick. I do wish he would use that oxygen for some breathing relief.
Lots of marching going on here today and tonight. Not much going on at this Denver house. Went to lunch with my niece and COOKED DINNER and watch DWTS. Doing a little paper work now and checking in on the blog.
TINA; Interesting blog...so....HAPPY PASSOVER , MO and your friend MONTH!! :)
J/L: I got quite a laugh out of your blog yesterday. It has almost happened to me more that once. Sometimes I think I don't even understand the language in the restaurant on the signs.!!!
Hello to everyone else today and hope each of you have a good night.
SHIRLEY; I will be glad when taxes are over...miss you.
A good friend encouraged me to go back over to Dad's and I did. She told me no regrets. He was about the same. I did get him to smile, I also was able to tell him that it was ok to go to Mom....♥ We shall see what I find later today.
MARY - Thank you. My brother and sil visited Dad last Sunday. It had been a little over a month since she had seen him and she was shocked how much worse he was. I'll call you later today ♥
Carol Congrats to your parents for 59 yrs! That's fantastic! And I bet the Lady Gaga concert will be something to remember. Can hardly wait to hear about it.
Thank you SLIN ♥ I was a big baby and cried in front of Dad last night. That's something I have tried to avoid. I usually like to make him laugh or smile :) It is truly shocking to see him now...he is a shell of the man that I grew up with. Most people would have a hard time recognizing him.
DIANNE...Month and I say thank you! Wow, you actually toast the pop tarts?Even I don't dothat!
HODI...you are not a downer. You are a friend that needs comforting, and your friends here are happy to do that for you. I'm glad you went back over there. It's ok to cry in front of your dad,he knows it's only because you love him. {{hugs}}
Good morning! :) Pretty lady! :) I sure didn't get much sleep last night... Late night callers..hmmpf.. he he
ReplyDeleteMOrning Glories!
ReplyDeleteWell I guess it is true you can get anything over the internet!
Today J/L I think I am Grumpy.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Good Morning Tina, Bebbi and Lynn. I was up so early I thought I might be first. No such luck. We have a handicap out here on the West coast.
ReplyDeleteTina - I love your avatar. If you could call a man "beautiful" that is what I would call him.
ReplyDeleteBebbi - I didn't get much sleep either but it wasn't night callers. It was the sound of my little "fur baby" getting sick. TMI I know.
ReplyDeleteLynn- I am kind of grumpy too. Hope you are feeling better. I have been following the story of Eva, one of the most gorgeous baby ever seen. I love the picture on your daughter's avatar.
ReplyDeleteI don't have to sign in Zona. It's such fun. I guess the computer has signed me in permanently. Thanks again for all the help yesterday.
ReplyDeleteFrom area 51. Hi Bear. I saw you were here last night. Thanks for the welcome.
ReplyDeleteHappy Passover Maureen.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry Tina but I found that video a little strange.

Didn't watch the video yet!! I will though..
ReplyDeleteTink, it just makes my soul happy to see you again here...omg, you have NO IDEA! :) So glad you are back and sorry to hear one of the fur babies was sick... ohh.. :(
That was very cool..fun fun..LOL.. :) Quite a lot of work went into it too..wow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday Owls.
ReplyDeleteTina, I must be getting old. I had a little trouble reading that fast, but I liked the vid. My church held a Sader one year as a way for us Catholics to understand the Passover Ritual and I found it very interesting. The Rabbi and his wife explained each step and the reason for each food. I really liked the experience.
BTW Tina, I love seeing your lovely smile in the morning.
ReplyDeleteBebbi, Maybe you can catch a nap today to make up for the lack of sleep. I'm sure your supervisor won't mind. :0
Lynn, good morning. Did you do anything exciting on your birthday??
Tinka, Sorry you have a sick fur baby. It is so good to see your little brown and white fuzzy Owl here again.
Zona, Thanks for helping Tinka get back to the nest.
Barb: Great suggestion..I did that on my break..it helped quite a bit... :) Not planning on continuing the nap at my desk though..lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday everyone!
ReplyDeleteTina, your beauty is getting tedious lol!!
The vid was fast, but I got the idea. Prolly not far from the truth.I hear we all have our lives planned out somewhere, so a 'puter would certainly come in handy lol!!!

Hi Sacy! It was too fast for me too!! I am off to donate blood...
Mary: I am keeping my ears open..I'll have some tips for you.. :)
ReplyDeleteHome from the hairdressers and now time for Slim Fast and a nap. This retirement sure tires me out.
ReplyDeleteSacBarb - Tia is fine now. She was just sick enough to ruin my sleep.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't read fast enough either. Maybe that is why I didn't "get" the video.
Hi Mary - Hope Mr. Mary is fine soon. Is smoking allowed in the casino? If so he will be getting second hand smoke and that won't be good for him. There is no smoking allowed here in any public building or even around them. The poor smokers don't like living here much but the rest of us love it.
ReplyDeleteI am being "Sleepy" right now so it's nap time. I hope I wake up as "Happy" or even as smart as "Doc".
ReplyDelete25 but I guess no-one is counting anymore.
ReplyDeleteTinka Congrats on 25! Glad your fur baby is okay now.
ReplyDeleteTina When Mary called you tedious she must have meant beautfiul, right?
ReplyDeleteBebbi Glad you got a little nap in at work. Where did you do that? On the terlit? LOL
ReplyDeleteLynnD I hope Happy makes an appearance soon.
ReplyDeleteSacBarb What are you up to today? I'm going to go to Curves and see what I can do. It's been over 2 weeks since my little surgery so I think it's safe to do now.
ReplyDeleteMary LOL @ tedious! I hope Mr. Mary stops coughing and wins lots of money.
ReplyDeleteJ/L! LOL, no in my car at the end of my lunch. It felt really nice..not too cold, nice breeze, smell of blossoms and spring..elixer for the soul. And, a great place to rest my weary bones for a few moments.
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!!
ReplyDeleteTINA: I liked that! Well, what I caught of it..I'll have to go back and watch it at the slower over-50 speed! :D
I almost forgot..you're gorgeous, ravishing and beautiful..that should do until your day off.. ;D
TINKA: I'm sorry to hear Tia was sick..did she get into something she wasn't supposed to? Is that a silly question? I'm glad she's feeling better!
You didn't have to sign in? Cool!! It was more funny than difficult yesterday..wasn't it? LOL!
MARY: I hope Mr Mary's cough goes away soon! :)
