For those of you who are not familiar with k.d.'s version of "Hallelujah" you really should hear it. In my opinion, no one can sing it as well as she can. Here's the link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_NpxTWbovE&feature=related
It's heart-breakingly beautiful.
Good Moannnnnnning~
ReplyDeleteomg! I'm sorry Tink.....not a good moan today....I'm pooped! Late to work...overslept....talked too late to Donald Trump last night~ :)~
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ not a k.d. fan, but thanks for sending in the blog....I REALLY appreciate it!~
ReplyDeleteJ/L I love this song. Good pick!
ReplyDeleteWell, I have had better morning.
No water :(
So either my pump needs repaired or my well dried up. I don't have city water.
So I will find out all the damage tomorrow morning when the plumber comes.
mornings not morning
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone has a good day!
ReplyDeleteOk! ...Thats it! Tina is referring to me as "Donald Trump!"
ReplyDeleteAnyone who agrees with her just go ahead and say it so I can just make one trip to the voodoo doll storage closet......
Those are fighting words!! I look nothing like that orange fat sob with a dead animal on his head!!!!
Well what can I say! Shes not even a fan of KD Lang! I think she only likes that "Sugarpatch" group!!
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteI think k.d. does a beautiful rendition of "Hallelujah" and I am not big fan of hers either. But nobody does is it like MY Jon BonJovi!!
Hope you all have a great May Day.
sorry about your water problem iteach, hope its nothing too serious (or expensive).
Now...
ReplyDeleteBefore I saw Sarah Palins post calling me Trump I was mesmerized by KD Lang....
Thanks J/L...she is fantastic and I didn't know about a new album...imagine that!
I saw her in person once and she sang Roy Orbisons "Crying"....the Colosseum shook...
You say Sarah Palin like it's a bad thing~ :D
ReplyDeleteFor those of you who didn't see the White House Correspondents Dinner last night let me just say O M G !
ReplyDeleteWatch the vid of Obamas talk and Seth Meyers....
I have no idea why...but that idiot Donna Trump had the nerve to faniggle a ticket thru the Washington Post...he not only attended but he brought his triple D cup wife-whore...
Obama and Seth Meyers heaped public humiliation on him that was jaw dropping...
I was so thrilled...he needs to be humiliated right off the planet...during the fun he looked as though he would explode!!
You have to the see the tape...which every major news outlet is running...its so funny...
Seth Meyers made one jab that went like this....
"Donald Trump says he is a friend of the blacks.....well unless the blacks are a white family named Black I doubt it!"
that was followed by raucous laughter and applause.....and I think I saw steam coming out the Donalds ears...
He brought it on himself and he deserved all of it and more...
Good Morning Moanin' Tina, Sweet Iteach, Handsome Michael and Supportive Heidi. Happy May Day to you and all the other owls.
ReplyDeleteYes Tina that wasn't a good moan. It sounded like you are very pooped today. I can't talk on the phone after 9:00 pm or I can't sleep all night. It "winds" me all up and I can't settle down.
ReplyDeleteIteach - I hope that the plumber comes and finds it is a very simple inexpensive job. I need to call a plumber too. It isn't a big job I need done so I keep putting it off.
ReplyDeleteYou DO NOT look like Donald Trump nor do you sound like him. I can't stand him. If he comes on the tv I turn it off. The way he treated Marla Maples, divorcing her and then declaring bankruptcy was disgraceful. She got so little from him and she had that beautiful daughter Tiffany to raise.
ReplyDeleteI just took time-out to eat my breakfast. I am out on the deck with my Macbook and Jack brought it to me. Am I spoiled or what?
ReplyDeleteJust_Lin - Thank you for the video. I just love K.D. Lang. Not only is she, along with Celine Dion, one of our few famous Canadian singers, she is also, in my opinion, a great singer. She sang "Hallellujah" at the opening ceremonies at the 2010 Olympics. I thought it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I saw her in concert here about 15 years ago. It is one of my favourite memories of times with my sister.
I can hear my farms calling me so I must answer.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to our daughter's house for dinner. We are celebrating my birthday and Easter as she and her family were in Hawaii for both.
Have a great May Day all owls everywhere.
I think I am alone in the nest anyway. It's lonely in here.
ReplyDelete20
ReplyDeleteI might as well march to 25.
ReplyDelete22
ReplyDeleteMichael - I am sure you know that Donald Trump comment was meant for you. I just forgot to put your name on it.
ReplyDeleteGood morning feathered friends.
ReplyDeleteWaving to TINA,MICHAEL,ITEACH,GOLDIE,and TINKA
TINA...hope your day gets better.
ReplyDeleteITEACH...hope the water issue (or lack thereof) is a simple fix.
TINKA...have a wonderful Birthday / Easter celebration with your daughter and grandkids. As for being spoiled, I say...GOOD FOR YOU!
GOLDIE...excuse me...YOUR Jon Bon? He's MY Jon Bon, that I graciously share with you and SACBARB!!! Hope you have a good day for YOU again today.
MICHAEL...LOL@ Orange fat sob with a dead animal on his head!! Too funny! Remember today is May Day, not Mayhem day!! LOL!
I'm in a pissy mood today, so I think I will go to my place of solace...my library. I have been trying to get into a book I took out 2 weeks ago and can't seem to, so I think I will give in and return it. Or settle into one of the cozy club chairs and give it another try. Then of course watch the SMV and look for the Corresondents dinner on you tube.
ReplyDeletethank you Tinka....Tina can be such a brat!
ReplyDeleteMaureen...hi!...
the title of the YouTube video is...
White House Correspondent's Dinner - Seth Meyers, Part 1
on that page is the Presidents speech and part 2 of Seth....
I don't know how the "Dump Truck" stood it....but I am so thrilled that they cut loose on his self promoting..lying...disrespectful..tacky pompous ass...
Maureen...so you take seat covers to the library like I do to the theater?
ReplyDeleteOr do you just wear something you can burn upon returning home?
I have a real phobia of places where "the people" have walked...sat...or handled things...or wherever I might see them digging at their heads...
And a box of latex gloves in the car is invaluable! And those Glad lawn bags..the huge ones....? I have those in the trunk and if I ever feel just totally threatened I just get in one of those and cinch it up around my face until the danger has passed.....
Good Morning Maureen - Have a relaxing time at the library. I haven't been to a library for so long. I use to love to do that when I was young. It is always so peaceful there.
ReplyDeleteMichael - I don't think I will watch it but I am glad it happened to "The Donald" as he likes to be called.
ReplyDeleteYes Tina can be pretty cheeky but she's kind of cute don't you think?
maybe a little....
ReplyDeleteI just saw the funniest thing...I was outside with Belle and she is constantly watching for squirrels...
ReplyDeletethe squirrels are usually watching her too and run up a tree when she charges after them....
but a minute ago...I guess this squirrel was preoccupied with its nuts or something because Belle was almost on top of it before he realized it....
the squirrel screamed and threw its nuts straight up in the air then shot up the tree in the nick of time....
soo entertaining....lol
Last week I spent $20 on a fake squirrel. I just knew Belle would have a fit over it....I saved it until she was feeling better...I gave it to her yesterday.....or I should say I posed it on the rail of the back deck...when she walked outside...well she actually walks to the door then races around it to "surprise" anything that might be on the deck getting a drink or food....
anyway she got out there and the coast was clear then she noticed the fake squirrel on the rail....she got up in a chair...sniffed it and looked at me like...phfffft! ....and continued on her hunt for live squirrels...
It can be a thankless job sometimes and I think she sensed my disappointment...so later she did grab it and chewed one of its eyes off.....
excuse me...I said...

Hate when that happens...pay $20 for a fake squirrel and not get the response I had hoped for. Dagnabbit
ReplyDeleteBELLE CHEWED ONE OF IT'S EYES OUT? IS THAT HOW YOU LOST UR EYE?
ReplyDeleteI believe that I have answered that question Tina...do try to keep up.....
ReplyDeleteCute story Michael. We have a lot of squirrels here. Tango and Tia and my cat Teddy love chasing them. The squirrels are cute but they eat all my birds seeds. We think we are putting up a bird feeder that the squirrels can't get to but they are pretty smart.
ReplyDeleteJ/LIN: I agree with you..k.d lang has one of the best voices out there today..and I think her rendition of 'Hallelujah' is unparalleled..she wrings every bit of emotion out of that song..no one sings it as well as she does..imho..
ReplyDeleteTINA: I think that was more of a groan than a moan..ijs..I hope you were able to take a nap and recoup from your late night!
MICHAEL: No voodoo dolls..geez!! Thank you for re-posting the saga of Belle and the squirrel..that alone made me laugh..Maybe next time you should try the fake possum.. ;D
GOLDIE: No one does..what..like your JBJ?? ;D
ITEACH: I hope the plumber can diagnose and fix the problem without too much hassle! :)
TINKA: Have a great evening with your family! If there's birthday cake..have some for me!! :)
MO: I just love your avatar..reminds me of those MySpace days!! Oh..and btw..I had pastrami for dinner..yummy! :D
We are just getting ready to go to our late birthday and Easter celebrations. There is nothing like spreading one's birthday over a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful here. I hope you are all having lovely spring weather. It can't be beat. See you later.
J/LIN: I got sidetracked..I really liked this song today too! :)
ReplyDeleteZona - I just saw your post. I will send down a piece of birthday cake this evening on my private jet. Hope you enjoy it. Take care, Your loving cyber mother.
ReplyDeleteZona - I knew you would like K.D. Lang. Like mother, like daughter. I think she is great. She is very entertaining in concert too because she talks to the audience between songs. She has a very good sense of humour I think.
ReplyDeleteMichael is there something I missed? Why did you post your squirrel story twice, the second time in bold print? I know there is a reason but I can't think of one.
ReplyDelete47
ReplyDelete48
ReplyDelete49
ReplyDelete50
ReplyDeleteThis is the only exercise I am getting. Must run. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteZONA...hope the Pastrami was delish! I hear it's better 19 hours later! bwahahaha! I looked at my Walmart the other night and they didn't have it :(
ReplyDeleteTINA...I was gonna make a joke similar to that, but refrained! Eye thought it may be in bad taste!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I was seen by a doctor today. It appears that I have an infecterd salivary gland. I am now on a combo of antibiotics, am supposed to apply warm compresses to the swollen area, and she showed me how to try to "milk" the gland. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteZONA...that avatar is from the old MySpace days!
ReplyDeleteI reserved the Jennifer Grant book at the library today. I am number 14 in line. I don't wanna wait :( Maybe it will be quick
Tinka Michael posted his comment again because NO BODY RESPONDED. I would have but I was at the doctor office and needed to turn off my Blackberry.
ReplyDeleteJUST LIN...so glad you went to the Doc. Glad you got the antibiotics to get that cleared up.
ReplyDeleteGot milk?
Sorry, couldn't resist!
Tinka...
ReplyDeleteI posted the squirrel comments at 2:49pm....finally when there had been no response at 3:38pm...I raised my voice and said it again!
And if you'll notice I didn't get a nibble until 4:26pm!!
Its a wonder that I didn't scream it again before anyone noticed...
and them when Murine did say something...her timing was off and SHE STUTTERED!!!
It wasn't until 6:55pm that I got a polite "return" on that darling story from you!!
I am just so thrilled that you are back Tinka .....finally I am not the only one here that exhibits good manners and breeding!
stabs Tina and heads for the ladies room...
OOPS!! EXCUSE ME!! HABIT I GUESS! ...slams door and jumps out window...
Michael You have cracked me up, big time, today. In the trunk of your car, along with the latex gloves and large garbage bags, I hope you aren't also carrying a shovel. That could look very bad if a cop ever looked in there.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your squirrel story. Our dog is also vexed by the squirrels. In the house and clear across the room, if I whisper "squirrel", the dog runs over to look out the picture window. Sometimes, the dog will be laying out on the deck at the top of the stairs and a squirrel will come running up the bannister. Just as it gets to the point where it is on the rail above the dog, the dog will be trying frantically to get up and turn towards the rail in time, just as the squirrel has thrown itself into the willow tree branches. The dog will stand on her back legs with front paws on the railing and look on as the squirrel goes higher and higher. The squirrel is clearly taunting the dog.
I'm glad that almost all of you enjoyed today's music selection.
ReplyDelete***simulating smile at Tina***
ROFLMAO!!!!
ReplyDeleteMO I do have a couple of glands that enjoy .........oh, never mind. LOL
ReplyDeleteMiguelito dear~ I'd stick to the ladies room if I were you! We're used to you being in there anyway! I'm afraid if you jumped out the window, you'd land on ur ass and hurt urself......and that fox on ur head would fall off~ ijs~
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ how dare you piss me off in one post and make me laugh in the next~
ReplyDeleteMiguelito~ Zona was going to post after your TWO comments that "It looks like the summer re-runs have begun!"
ReplyDeleteTina Excuse me while I milk my gland.
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ I confess.....I haven't even listened to the song....I just don't care for her music....but maybe I'll try it~ :)~
ReplyDelete67
ReplyDelete68
ReplyDelete69
ReplyDeleteTina It's an interesting video. I love the song.
ReplyDeleteMICHAEL, MICHAEL, MICHAEL...I don't stutter and if I told you once, I told you a millions times...it's VISINE!
ReplyDeleteJUST LIN...don't think he has a trunk. I picture him tooling around in a '77 El Camino!!!
Tina I see you're milking a gland too. Congrats on 69.
ReplyDeleteMO So, he could easily carry a shovel and body. Hmmmm....
ReplyDeleteTina You could at least listen to the song since I went to the trouble TO SEND IT!
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ well....that was .... interesting....thank you for robbing me of the last 4 minutes of my life~ :)~
ReplyDeletelmbo J/L~ I'll post anything! lol!!!!!!!~
ReplyDeleteYou are kidding me. You didn't like the song?
ReplyDeleteOkay, so she looks a little bit like Merv Griffin these days, she can still belt out a torch song like nobody's business.
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ uh.....no....not really~ I kept watching the clock to see how long I had left~ I'm sorry~ Just not my Big Gulp of Diet Pepsi~
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ oh my hell....I don't care how she looks....in fact, I work with a woman who looks just like her...I just didn't care for the song~ I like something with a little punch...you know.....something Shirley or Miguelito wouldn't like~ :D
ReplyDeleteMichael - I commented on your story when I saw it. I was down for my nap when you wrote it so please don't think I ignored it. It was a great story.
ReplyDeleteI just got back from my late birthday/Easter celebration. I will read them later. Right now they have just announced that Bin Laden is dead so I must watch tv with Jack. Be back in about 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteOMG...they got him! I am both thrilled and scared. Will there be retaliatory strikes against us?
ReplyDeleteWaiting for President Obama to speak.
It is scary, isn't it?~
ReplyDeleteYes, they got him! Ysy!
ReplyDeleteThat was supposed to be Yay!
ReplyDeleteYSY...YAY...either way it's amazing! And scary. Ya think the Donald will demand a long form death certificate??
ReplyDeleteThey got him.. I am so very happy that he got was he so deserved, I am awaiting the president's talk, as I want to know as many details as they will give us!
ReplyDeleteI hope he burns in hell!
CAROL...he will def burn in hell.
ReplyDeleteokay.....shhhhhhhh....don't tell anyone I said this....and if anyone spreads this, I'll deny it....but I'm liking Obama right now~ (OMG)
ReplyDeleteWatching Obama speaking. What a great night.
ReplyDeleteTINA...I knew it!! You can't deny it!! YIPPEEEEEE!
ReplyDeleteTINKA...he was so eloquent, wasn't he?
I'm so proud to be American!
Good Lord....he almost made me cry~
ReplyDeleteHEY!!!! I'm missing Brothers & Sisters!!!~
Kudos to our President, he was so composed and steadfast while speaking, he drew me in from his first word all the way to his last..
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of our military, and its leaders, they never gave up..
and the bottom line, from the words of our President..
Don't fuck with America..
Well he actually did not say that in those words, but totally want he meant!
TINA...quote of the day submission...
ReplyDeleteCAROL said:
Don't fuck with America
On another note.....no lacrosse practice tomorrow....so BOTH twins can serve their detentions tomorrow! (rolls eyes!)
ReplyDeleteWe will always remember where we were when we heard that Bin Laden was killed.
ReplyDelete98
ReplyDelete99
ReplyDelete100
ReplyDelete100
ReplyDeletegood for you tinka~ :D
ReplyDeleteTINKA...I am in the same place I was when the tragedy of 9/11 happened...in my bed, watching tv! I guess it came full circle for me!
ReplyDeleteMaureen - Yes he is was eloquent; he always is I think. He will be able to take ownership of title of the man responsible for the death of Bin Laden. That will help his image will it not?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to be sharing this occassion with y'all!
ReplyDeleteAnd glad that President Obama picked the time to speak when it interrupted the Celebrity Apprentice ending!! bwhahaha
Tina.. I almost cried to..
ReplyDeleteTINKA...it probably won him 2012...and deservedly so!
ReplyDeleteyes Tinka I think it will.. as he continued the search and did not waiver his thoughts, he stood strong on his conviction, to get Bin Laden, and carried it out for all of the American people..
ReplyDeleteMo..
ReplyDeleteQOTD.. Lol..
So true, he so wanted to say that!
Maureen - I am in my housecoat, as I was at 6 am on 9/11 so I guess I have come full circle too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tina.
ReplyDeleteMichael - Did you really jump out the ladies' room window? You haven't spoken since then except for your "ROFLMAO!!!!" I hope you weren't saying that as you were falling to the ground. If you are still alive I promise I will watch for and comment on any of your stories in the future.
ReplyDeleteJust_Lin - I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteCarol - I am a Canadian but I am proud of America tonight too.
ReplyDeleteTINKA...you may be Canadian by birth and citizenship, but you are an honorary American! Especially since you are ZONA's cyber mom!
ReplyDeleteI think we should all have tomorrow off to celebrate and honor our military!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...there's a quote from the movie 'Die Hard' that comes to mind..I think it goes "Yippee ki-ay..mother-somethingorother.." I hope our soldiers had a chance to say it to Bin Laden..and I sure hope he heard it loud and clear...
ReplyDeleteProud ------------------->
ReplyDeleteZONA...well said!
ReplyDeleteZona..
ReplyDeleteI believe it was..
""Yippee ki-ay..mother-fucker**
:)
Yes Mo.. Proud, very Proud!
ReplyDeleteThe coward was hiding behind a woman as a shield.
ReplyDeleteMo.. I just read that..
ReplyDeleteHe is (was) the lowest of all scum om earth.. it has not value for human life..
no!!! I'm fine now! Its just that I walked in on J/L milking her goiter!! I was so embarrassed!!
ReplyDeleteVisine...
thats what the Trumpster had to say about Seth Meyers today...that his timing was off and he stuttered....lol...I thought you'd pick up on that but apparently I over estimated you..sorry..
77 El Camino!! HUMPHT!
J/L...
ReplyDeletewhat kind of doggie do you have?
Its my fault but Belle thinks that squirrels are called "bunny rabbits".....
During the winter when there is an abundance of cottontails....she learned bunny rabbit....so now if I say squirrel she just looks at me....if I say bunny rabbit she goes en pointe...
MICHAEL...You win this one! I guess my mind was stuttering! Fffffunny reference!
ReplyDeleteMichael I am sitting here putting hot compress on my "goiter". But to answer your question, the dog is a female pit bull, almost 2 years old. When she moved in here (with my son) a little over a year ago, she was terrified of the 19 and 20 yr old cats that I had. Now there is only one kitty, the youngster, who is now 20 and she and the dog, Ursula, are best friends and sleep together on the Ursula's bed.
ReplyDeleteMO He was hiding behind a woman? Why am I not surprised? I'm sure he believed his life was more important that anyone else's.
ReplyDeleteTina I really liked our President tonight, too. But, then again, I always like him. He has the ability to speak from the heart and with dignity.
ReplyDeleteTinka Thank you. I think it may be getting a tiny bit better.
ReplyDeleteJUST LIN...did your edema ever go away?
ReplyDeleteMO Not really, still working on that.
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Owls. I was out all day and I haven't listened to the SMV but I'm sure I would like it because I like jd lang.
ReplyDeleteI didn't feel well when I got home and I went to bed for a while, but I woke up just in time to hear the President. I echo all your comments. I have to go back to bed because I think I've got some kind of flu bug and I feel awful. Maybe I'll get over it by morning.
Good night everyone. Sweet dreams to you all.
SacBarb I'm sorry you don't feel well. Hope you are better in the morning.
ReplyDeleteSACBARB...I hope you are feeling better
ReplyDelete
