This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
I hope everyone is having a good day. I had a hunky plumber here today, to fix my water heater, which is only 6 years old. My old one was 40 years old and nothing ever went wrong with it. I only changed it because the bottom fell out of my neighbor's and flooded the entire house. Since they were both the same age, I thought I'd head off a similar disaster and just get mine replaced. I can't believe how poorly things are made now. Also, my warranty on the new water heater ran out in March so it cost me almost $400. At least my company won't have to take cold showers. :-)
I was hoping someone would ask. I am getting a lot of unexpected calls as word of my cancer spreads....
The picture is Miss Texas 1983...Sherri Ryan...she was a client and a friend. She had previously won Miss Texas A&M. I was with her when she won the A&M title which was exciting....but I was backstage with her when she won Miss Texas and by golly I was there when she came in fourth at Miss America! She was the favorite...slated to win....coming in fourth raised quite a few eyebrows. A little controversy there...in all the magazines...
But Sherri was so gracious..sweet and humble not a negative word ever came from her...
I haven't seen her in probably 25 years and have talked to her only 2 or 3 times... I thought we had lost touch.
When I realized it was Sherri on the phone I just broke down crying. Couldn't stop. She said...Don't cry baby...Sherri's here...everything is going to be alright baby...
We had a long conversation reminiscing about the glory days...laughed a lot...
Promised to come in the fall. I have got so much to look forward to this fall. Sherri...Paul coming...
And who else will pop up? It really is a small world...
Michael---it is a small world sometimes. I'm so glad you heard from Sherri. It always so great to hear from someone out of your past. Now go to sleep and get a good nights sleep.

Good afternoon, J/L and Dianne.
I was shocked to find out that those little round pills were NOT Weight Watchers pills. Bummer!

Michael Isn't it great to laugh with old friends? I'm so glad she got in touch with you. May I ask, who is Paul?
Dianne Oh, yeah, highlights. (wink, wink)
