~A Cup of Tea ~
One day my Gramma was out, and my Grampa was in charge of me.
I was maybe 2 1/2 years old. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a gift, and it was one of my favorite toys.
Grampa was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought him a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Gramma came home.
My Grampa made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' Gramma waited, and sure enough, here I came down the hall with a cup of tea for Grampa, and she watched him drink it up.
Then she said, (as only a gramma would know), "'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?"

Funny---I saw that one coming as only a grandma would. Lol. Thanks for the blog, Barb.
I'm busy this morning catching up with my hellos to the weekend group. I know I've mentioned this before, but everyone is sure nice and friendly. Even had a good breakfast this AM. Now waiting for shower time. Such a busy girl I am!!!
Ok....wake up. I'm showered, dressed, teeth brushed, air curled and no one to talk to. Tina, I know you are awake.
Dianne Well, good morning, Beauty! Are you still awake or are you getting a few zzzzz's finally? I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfast in bed today. You are getting spoiled.
SacBarb Ha! Good one on grandpa!
No zzz's but I am getting used to breakfast and every meal in bed. I don't go to dining room. Wonder what that will be like when I go home. I think maybe different. Almost sounds like I want to stay, doesn't it?
Thanks everyone for enduring my constant chatter. You are all really good friends and I appreciate every last one of you.
BARB: Yikes! Wouldn't have occurred to me either!
DI: Almost? ..Nah.. ;)
Good Morning J/LIN!
Have a good day everyone! :)
Good Evening Owls.
I have been out almost all day and just logged on to find that the blog is one I submitted. Thanks for the comments. I sent this to Tina because I so identify with both the little girl and grandma. In fact, I can barely reach anything higher than the toilet even today. :-)
I went to a new gross-ry store today and I had to get someone to reach the plastic bags in the veggie section. They placed them high above the vegetable bins for some stupid reason. They actually had one placed lower, but it was empty. I told the employee helping me that it was empty because all the little old ladies were shopping today. I bet the next time I go there will be more bags at a reachable level for us little old ladies.
SacBarb LMAO at you not being able to reach anything higher than the toilet! That was a funny visual.
Zona Waving a weary wing at you. It's been a busy day for me. Visited with a couple of friends from high school. We had a nice lunch down the coast at a restarant at the fishing harbor. We took a nice walk on the pier then drove a little farther south and spent more time chatting. I took the grandkids to dinner tonight for fish and chips and then took them to the local communtiy center where they had put together a haunted house. They really did a good job of it, too. Even my grandson who is 11 and big for his age took one of my hands half way through. :)
Morning everyone: it's 5:30 and I instantly woke up. Needless to say, it's very dark/night outside still hope I go back to sleep especially since my tummy is already growling Breakfast isn't for three hours.
Ok night......
PS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARB!!!!
