This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

~ Blurred Lines ~
by Tina~in_ut
I had heard that youtube didn't want to post this video. I watched it and thought.....really? Well....it is a little suggestive. AND THEN I FOUND THE UNCENSORED VERSION! OH MY HELL!!!~ Uh yeah~ Check that one out~ lq~
I may be wrong but I think they are talking about anal sex. Regardless of that, it makes me uncomfortable to hear lyrics promoting the idea that she "really wants" it.
tWow,I Didn't CatchThe "Anal" Part! May HaveTo Watch Again... IM On MyCell Our PowerIs Out. Must Be A Transformer Took A Dive. It Has Been A Hot Week. Phone is Wonky
Busy weekend. Drum Corps show in Dubuque, Iowa on Friday night with Jake, and High School Marching Band Championships in Whitewater, WI on Saturday night. Yesterday I slept in, did laundry, then Paul and I had dinner at the lake where Tim works.
Jl...yes, at Christmas time. We were in the midst of eating when asked to hurry so a Christmas group coul sit where we were sitting...different place. I wrote an email and recd a gift card and apology on that one
Jodi, sounds like you had an exciting weekend. I loved when my kids were younger and we were very busy going to events in which they participated, sports and otherwise.
Dianne, maybe another email is in order. It's one thing to ask you to leave if you have been sitting there a long time after you finish your meal, but to ask you before you are finished is totally off base.
Pretty laid back day again today. Did get the nails done and will get the hair done tomorrow. I never used to require so much "maintenance". LOL My back has been bothering me for a couple of days so I haven't been doing too much. Just puttering around the house and running some errands. It's been overcast here. Typical for this time of year on the coast.
Getting ready for a mani/pedi. Love getting pampered.
J/L, I agree. It takes a lot of maintenance and I don't even look that good when I am done. I was just thinking yesterday about how I could get ready to go somewhere in half the time it takes now and I looked a lot better when I was done. I wish I could afford some plastic surgery to lift and tuck and suck.
JusL, I have been trying to get moving too. I walk the dog, but that is not too strenuous lol! I did walk over 2 miles last Sat at the Cure for Cancer Walk. That got me remembering when I used to run 4 miles a day without breathing hard and biking 6 miles and loving it! Of course I was younger and no knee replacement :(
I figure any movement is good..use it or lose it!!
Mary, You're right, any movement is good. I used to love riding my bike, but I'm not so fond of it any more because the seat hurts mu arse. I probably need a bigger seat...for the bike.
J/L, Yeah, I'm thinking I don't want to go on a cruise. I wave to you guys from the shore.
Sorry Barb, you have to go on our cruise. It wouldn't be the same without you. You can wear a life jacket. I don't know how attractive that will be on formal night.
JL, tell us a little about your trip and cruise. I think we'd all love to hear about it.
Mary, lets leave tomorrow. Where shall we go? Not where it's hot, please.
Dianne You made me LOL and the idea of Barb wearing a life jacket on formal night!!! It makes me laugh again just writing about it. Do you think it would help if we glued sequins all over it? She's crafty. I bet she has lots of stuff she could bring to decorate her "jacket". Hope she doesn't dress in anything that would clash with that bright orange color.
My trip was really fun but really exhausting, too. We started out with 4 days in London. The weather was on the cool side and overcast. We carried our umbrellas around everyday but it never rained. That is until we went to the Tower of London and didn't bring the umbrellas. Of course on that day, the skies opened up and absolutely POURED! Fortunately, this happened not long before we were ready to leave and get back on the Underground. Anyway, we saw the Crown Jewels and that was the reason we went. We saw the changing of the guard ceremonies at Buckingham Palace. toured the public areas of Kensington Palace and had high tea, went to Westminster Abbey but it had just closed and they were having church services so we listened to the music for a few minutes and then shopped in their nearby gift shop. Saw Big Ben and that giant Ferris wheel, The London Eye, went to the Globe Theater and saw a performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream", went shopping at a street fair in Notting Hill. We had some of our breakfasts and lunches in pubs. Discovered that a traditional English breakfast includes Heinz canned beans (the pork and beans type beans). Who knew? And fish and chips are served with peas! Usually, "mushy peas".
The cruise was two weeks long and some of the countries seemed very similar. Lots of cobblestone streets, lots of really old buildings and old churches. It was warm during the cruise...in the 80's. We went to Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, cruised the Kiel Canal in Germany. The canal took all day to traverse and people on shore made a point to gather and wave to us. Also went to Finland, Netherlands, and Sweden. We thought Riga, Latvia was especially charming. People everywhere were friendly except we found the Russians to be stern and unsmiling, except for our little tour guide. We went to an Ice Bar and had to wear fur lined hooded parkas and gloves and were served vodka and cranberry juice in glasses made of ice. We saw so many things that it's all kind of a blur. I will have to see my daughter's photos to sort it all out.
JustLin, What great fun you had! I can't wait to read more! Pictures would be great! I sure wish Jim like doing the cruise scene !
Dianne, I LOL too at Donna wearing a fancy studded vest! We could get some pool boys to pin dollars on it for a bit more fun and some fake fur for drama ;-)
Time to head out to get gross eries. It is a scorcher out there! I should have started earlier, but you know, I am NOT a morning girl lol! BBL
BARB - It's been ok. Trying to savor this weather, cuz u know I'll be cussing in about 5 months ;) Especially since I don't have an escape planned for this winter...
MARY - I guess the heat is getting to you!!! lol!!! Decided yesterday that since I have Friday off, and it's been too dang long, that I'm going to LOIS' for the night. Leaving after a nap after work. There is a band playing about a half hour from her house that we saw at a fundraiser this winter. Should be fun!!! Oooooh, and I can't wait to meet her new dog Sophie!
An update on Jake. Yesterday he rode his bike to the pool and his PT appt. They are now working on strengthening his muscles in his hip area by doing all kinds of balancing exercises. Hard to believe that 2 weeks ago he could hardly get off the couch!!
Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteInteresting video with a catchy tune. Tobin Thicke is sure a cutie. Thanks for the song, Tina.
ReplyDeleteHi J/L. You are looking smashing today.
ReplyDeleteGot nothing going on today. Hope someone out there is having some fun.
ReplyDeleteI may be wrong but I think they are talking about anal sex. Regardless of that, it makes me uncomfortable to hear lyrics promoting the idea that she "really wants" it.

ReplyDeleteI agree, J/L. It made me uncomfortable, too, but I did like the tune. I just re-read my comment and realized I misspelled Robin.
ReplyDeleteHi. Not much new this way. Went to dinner with a friend and over dessert they asked us to leave so they could use our table for a large group. Rude!!!
ReplyDeleteDianne Yes, that is rude. Am I correct in remembering that something similar happened to you before?
ReplyDeleteCatchy tune...BUTT I had no idea SLIN ;)

ReplyDeleteTINA - Did you get the blog I sent you?!!? (request #2!!!!)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Hooters.
ReplyDeleteWe are having another beautiful day in the Capitol City. The current temp is 73. Think I'll have another stroll on the levee.
Jodi, sounds like you had an exciting weekend. I loved when my kids were younger and we were very busy going to events in which they participated, sports and otherwise.

ReplyDeleteJ/L, Hope you are having the same weather we are having. Of course, I don't think it ever gets as hot there as it does here.
ReplyDeleteHello!!
ReplyDeleteBarb, it has been hot here! Our heat index is over 100. I took the dogs for a walk early today hoping to escape some of the worst heat.
Dianne, that was so, not, nice! They should have at least taken the desert off of your bill!
Jodi, you sure have been a busy gal!
JL,How's the world treating you today? Good I hope. Not bad here, just a slow Monday :)
Hi, HOoters!

You ladies...stop it!! I love all of you just as you are! MK, if I win the lottery I will gift you the best plastic surgeon ever LOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think an Owl cruise would be better :)
Have a great day all!!!!
What MARY said!!
ReplyDeleteMary Hell, yeah! An Owl Cruise would be super! Don't know if we could get Barb out on the water, though.
ReplyDeleteHOdi How's things?
ReplyDeleteToday I got my hair done and went to Curves. It's not a strenuous workout but every little bit helps, right?
ReplyDeleteJusL, I have been trying to get moving too. I walk the dog, but that is not too strenuous lol! I did walk over 2 miles last Sat at the Cure for Cancer Walk. Mary, Whose Donna? Dianne and J/L were talking about me with the blinged out vest!
ReplyDeleteJ/L, You know I have enough stuff to bling out a life vest. Actually, it might be fun.
Dianne, In addition to a life vest, I think I would need copious amounts of adult beverages.
Hi Jodi. I hope you're surviving the heat I have been hearing about.
Barb Guess what? They have copious amounts of adult beverages on the ships. :)
ReplyDeleteI told you it was hot here lol! The heat has fried my brain Donna,Dianne, Betty, Sandy..where am I??
ReplyDeleteMary, LOL
ReplyDeleteSLIN - Your trip sounds fabulous!
