Just checking in. Kind of lonely in here. I got my booster shot today. No problem at all. I pooped myself out working outside yesterday, so took it easy today. A friend of mine was working at a convenience/party store a couple mornings ago when a crazy guy dressed all in black came in and had a long sword. He told my friend he was going to kill him and started swing at his face and body! Sliced his ear off! He stole some cigs and money and fled to a nearby field where he was comprehended, thank goodness! My friend had emergency plastic surgery to re-attach his ear. He is home now. A bit shaken but alive! I heard the guy was an excon who had only been out of prison for a few months. I saw his picture in the paper. Def. a meth head!

Blogger Dianne/Denver said... Hi….happy Halloween although here it was over 12min ago. We both got our boosters tonight. Hopefully no after effects. I spent most of Thursday night in er at the hospital. I’ve had a bathroom issue so primary told me to go there. I just couldn’t go to the bathroom for a long time And dr thought there was a blockage. Had blood taken, Iv and CT Scan and thank goodness there wasn’t. I had a few things in colon that now I have to have a colonoscopy. I Swore I’d never have another one as really can’t drink things. He kind of scared me and both my mother and grandmother had colon cancer. I had to make a primary appt first. I can’t get in to see her until nov 24. I feel ok now. Put me on an antibiotic. It hasn’t been fun. Looks like louis is for sure going to have to have back surgery. Actually dr told him he needs both shoulders surgery too! The back needs to come first as he can barely walk.
Barb, did you have a nice bday? What did you do? Did you have all your candles on your cake? I can hardly believe I’m going to be 75. Server at bday lunch Saturday told me how much I Reminded her of her grandmother. Great! Good thing you’re taking over your sisters bills, etc. What will that kind of dr check on her? Glad to hear Dean is doing well and getting some exercise. It helps with someone to do it with on exercise. Boy, your boys have to keep on top of things, don’t they? At least they all aware of the issues. I should be getting my names on the cards at least. I took a few people off my list this year. I have too many presents and some I can’t remember who they go to. I keep a running list but I guess I missed a few of them. Yesterday was barbs bday and another friends is next week you so the three of us go out every year. I think,we’re going to put up our Christmas decorations on the 13th just in case Louis has surgery soon. Next sat is a big craft show I go with some friends to. Usually Tammy goes but she’ll be out of town. My friends are willing to push me.
Mary, you just can do everything! I’m coming for taco night too. They said possible snow tonight but ITV doesn’t look like it. I want it to be year around fall. Not too hot, no humidity and no snow. I can deal with the cold. I too imagine you’re not missing max. My friends were in Vegas a couple of days ago and said it was packed and masks required. They ended up going to the Tropicana. She said not crowded and mostly old people. They liked it best.
JL, I think you should go on the cruise. Being on the ship is the most fun plus you’ll be with your friends. You’ve been wanting to travel. Maybe cruise is requiring vaccinations. I have to tell u Andy ex sil is totally against getting the shot for political reasons. He talked the kids out of it until they wanted to go to a concert that required shots so they got them. His wife had to for work although she didn’t want it either. Well, she’s a senior partner and their Holliday parties start in two weeks and u have to be vaccinated so guess where Andy was yesterday? Not by choice but he had to for the things Wendy has coming up. He’s sick with fever today so he’s really hating it now. He had covid bad some months ago. I told him the shot won’t make him as long sick as the covid did to him. I’m really glad but I had to chuckle to myself.
Seaside, we haven’t heard from you for a long time. Everything ok?
Well, time for sleep . I get back shots Wednesday again. Yippee! Not
Dianne. I feels so bad for you two! These are the years we all should be enjoying ourselves after all our working days. I hope your tummy issues clear up and you are able to clean out your colon! I was told I had a little something in mine a while ago, but have had no issues. My arm is very sore today. I had a hard time sleeping last night due to the pain. I just took a couple of Motrin. Nope Mary….I’m much older..,the big 75! It feels so old to hear myself say it out loud. My son says I walk like I’m 80…hell , I almost am!!! I went to dr Friday and he gave me a referral for a gastro dr and gave me some tummy pills samples. I’ll be fine. Louis goes to back dr dec 7. I’ll be going with him. I went to the annual big country craft show today. Tammy is Dallas for the game but my friend pat and her daughter picked me up and took my travel chair and downtown we went and had a really nice time. The kind of took turns pushing me. I so appreciated it. We go every year. I love craft shows and picked up a few things for gifts and got to pick out a couple of bday gifts from pat.
We had beautiful weather the last few days. It was 80:degrees with 6% humidity. Perfect we r breaking records. It’s supposed to be cold and rainy on Wednesday. I don’t look forward to that at all, although I can take the cold over the snow. I almost tripped over a curb yesterday outside the dr office. It was the curb you park against when u park. Thank goodness I was able to grab on to my car and another car or down I would have gone….so scary.
I was thinking if’s starting my cards tmrw during the game. We r going out to dinner tmrw night gor my bday and barb is going with us. Tammy and James are taking us to cheesecake factory Tuesday night. On Monday I’m going to Greeley about two hours away and having lunch with my uncle. Staying home that night. I kind of wanted a gathering for my bday but then Tammy is gone so maybe at 80. What time all of you up too? I texted with seaside the other day and recd a nice card from her today. She’s doing ok.,,having some foot and leg issues.
Well, we just changed the clocks so off to bed. Night
