This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Hi well I’m first on my own blog. Weird. We were supposed to be leaving tmrw for Kansas but we have canceled since louis fell down twice yesterday at home. Second time they took him to hospital and he spent the night. His legs just give out. They couldn’t send him to a rehab as he was walking fine today. I picked him this afternoon. I don’t know what to do. No X-rays show anything wrong. I just don’t know what to do. Scary.
How r your shoulders barb.? I hope you r better and no surgery.. so what’s going n with everyone? Its supposed to be be a blizzard here tmrw, yuck
Hi there Dianne! Louis is sure being a mystery! Maybe for the best. His body may not have been ready for another trip just yet.I am so glad he didn't break anything! We have had very warm weather here. I love it! It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow. Better than snow! I hope your blizzard doesn't head our way!. I need to slow down a bit. My BP was 169/85 an hour ago and had a nose bleed. It didn't help that Sis Lena messaged me that Raquel's daughter Myla was taken to the hospital and "Leukemia" was mentioned! Thank goodness that was just ruled out! She is still very sick with tonsillitis and very bad strep. Poor baby! Jim has been pretty bad with his COPD. His smoking is making it worse! He barley moves and he is struggling to catch his breath! Scares me! The Dr (assist) put him on a stronger inhaler. If he gets pneumonia it would surely be the end of him! Probably another reason why my BP is acting up!
Time to take Zoie out one more time, then off to bed. Stay safe all!
Hello owl friends. I don't have much to say but thought I'd better post before the blog changes for St. Patrick's Day. Speaking of that, is anybody cooking corned beef and cabbage this year? I usually do but I decided not to this time as I don't want to be eating it more than one day and I surely would be since I live alone. What I will do instead is order out from a local restaurant which will me making it for the holiday.
As is our tradition, Jane and I watched the Oscars together. I printed out the list of nominees ahead of time so we picked who we thought would be the winners. Even though I saw quite the few of the movies, I didn't score too well with my predictions. I'm certainly not a fashion buff but I enjoy seeing what everyone is wearing.
Yesterday was warm and sunny. Maybe it was a little too warm for me to be out doing stuff. I took myself out to lunch, got my nails done, ran errands to the post office and the drug store, and then picked up groceries. By the time I got the groceries inside, I was so dead tired, I think I could have slept for hours if I would have closed my eyes, As it was, I did sleep for over 9 hours last night.
Dianne, I'm sorry you missed out on your trip. That is scary about Louis falling like that. Does he have any recollection of how he felt right before it happens? Anything like numbness in legs or feet, dizzy, light-headed? Bad circulation? It really needs to be investigated further until they figure out why that is happening.
Mary, poor little Myla. I remember as a child how painful tonsillitis was. I think I was about 5 when they were removed. I still remember the gifts the neighbors game me during my recovery.....and eating ice cream. LOL I hope she feels better soon. I guess your Jim is just going to do things his way come hell or high water. It's too bad that he doesn't feel that not smoking is "his way". Take care of yourself and keep an eye on that blood pressure.
Barb, we haven't heard anything from you lately regarding your sister's place. Are you still cleaning it out and how is that going? I hope you're getting some relief for your shoulders.
