Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are all doing well. All is good here. Matthew & I have been very busy prepping the ground where the new outdoor kennel will be.Lifting 80 12X12 cement pavers from the store to the Jeep then to the kennel area then placing each one on the ground has been challenging. Jim cannot help due to the severity of his COPD. Matthew assembled the kennel. We couldn't complete it because Jim has not gotten the new dog house that needs to go in first. I finally got him to agree on one and we will be picking it up Monday. Jim is the King of procrastination! I tend to be the opposite! I want it done NOW! LOL! My little Zoie is starting to show her age. She has slowed down a lot and has days when she cannot use the ramps and gets angry when I try to help her. She is eating and doing her "business" ok. I am grateful for that!
I have decided to change my Primary care provider from NP & PA-C, to MD. I haven't felt comfortable with some of their decisions on my care. I now have test scheduled for a few things that needed to be addressed. Take care all......
Mary, you are such a hard worker. Be careful about lifting heavy things.
It sounds like you made a good choice in changing your healthcare provider. We have to be advocates for ourselves. So glad you are getting the tests you need. I got my annual physical last Wednesday, then lab work, then an x-ray of my right knee that's been bugging me for months and was excruciating last October and November. The x-rays showed moderate arthritis with small spurs. They will set me up with PT so strengthen the muscles that support the knee. I'm glad nobody said anything about knee surgery because I really didn't want to have to do that. I was pleased about my lab results. Although I still have some kidney issues and am still considered pre-diabetic, my labs were improved since last year. I did need to adjust my thyroid med dosage. Anyway, two days after all my medical appointments, I came down with a chest cold. I actually scared myself awake the other night with the crackling noises coming from my chest. In my sleeping brain, it sounded like a wooden bead fell and bounced a couple of times on the hardwood floor. I bolted up in bed and said, "What the hell was that?" I checked out the rest of the house before I realized it was my own chest congestion that woke me up. LOL
I did not have the Easter I expected due to being sick. I guess I'll be eating ham for another day or two before I put freeze some in Ziploc bags, a couple of slices in each.
Hi….its Deianne as JL calls me. Sorry to hear you’re not feeling great JL. Those colds r a pain. I was coughing my head off and had a virtual with Dr and she put me on prednisone. Works every time. I no longer have a cough. Thank goodness. It even make me gain weight. I’m stuck at a loss of 62 pounds. I weigh every other day as my heart dr wants me to do that way. If I gain 3 pounds over night take a water pill. I’m not crazy about that either. Pee my pants and rushing when you’re in a lift chair takes some time! Probably tmi we went to tammys for Easter. I picked up a tray from Red Robin. It was nice seeing the others. I’m getting tired of seeing Andy and Wendy. The kids dad. He’s changed so much that I don’t like him anymore much. He’s also always having people do shots….my granddaughters. Not a great example in my opinion. He thinks he’s funny..he’s not! Sorry you were sick JL.
Mary, I agree with JL..you do too much. I don’t want you to get hurt. I understand that Jim can’t but you’re not that tough. You need to stay safe. We all worry about you what did u do for Easter? I’m sure you cooked a big meal.
Barb, I’ve been concerned about you with all this water you r getting there. It looks horrible. JL said you were both ok. What did u do for Easter? How’s your sister doing at her new place? How’s the house doing for resale? I have a lot of Louis drs this week and two for me. Busy boring week. I’m trying to go to all his appts as he’s not remembering much when he goes. He’s still not walking good or able to stand very long. We have an appt with back dr this week. I’m feeling and doing great.
