Hi there!
Dianne, I am glad you got away for a few days. Sounds like it did you a lot of good. How did Louis get by while you were gone?
I took Zoie to the Vet today. She kept rubbing her snout back & forth on the floor and outside on the grass. We think she picked up yeast infection in her ears from all the outside rubbing on the nasty ground. Vet asked me if I could flush her ears with meds for a few days. I told her no way will she let me do that! It was hard enough to give her ear drops. I could never get both ears! Vet decided to put med pacs in her ears. She is waiting on blood work to see if Zoie can tolerate anesthesia for extractions. Her gums were badly receding and an angry red. So, $366 later we are home. She will be checked again in a couple of weeks.
Now that it's warming up a bit, Jim is doing better. Winters are hard on him. Each winter I think is his last!
Matthew is on spring break so he will be busy getting his Jeep fixed from my getting t-boned when I was driving it. He ordered a new door and bumper/fender. He will be helping me clean out both garages and getting rid of an old couch, overstuffed chair, old lawn furniture and stuff that is just not being used. I ordered a dumpster that comes Monday. I need to get rid of junk so Matthew won't have to when I kick the bucket! I don't plan on doing that for a while lol!!
Hope to hear from you ladies!

Hi again. Boring night. Louis is watching basketball and I’m listening to music waiting for SNL. Morgan wallen on there tonight . I met a friend for breakfast, got gas and home rest of the day. Louis and I are going to the Cheescake factory for my birthday lunch. We never celebrated that or r anniversary hex’s not thrilled about going out but we are going. Not much else going on. We’ve had nice weather but supposed to have rain turning to snow tonight…I hope not. It was 80, a couple of days ago…..a tease for spring…maybe. I wish we were going on some kind of vacation this summer. Only plans are Branson hopefully in Sept. I pray about it. I’m going t
have to nudge Barb and JL. Anyone have any plans? Barb did ever sell your your sisters place? Someone come visit me I have that spare bedroom downstairs now trying to make some plans for Easter. I think Tammy and James will host us…not many just a few. She’s going to have a brunch. I’m going to offer to bring two dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. Had my nails done yesterday. I think on hair day next time I might get a tiny cut on the side. My thin hair is growing in pretty good shape. I bought the hairpiece in July mainly for my reunion. My hair was so thin. I haven’t worn it for months but still paying on it. Oh, I know what I did for fun last week. I went to the dentist for four hours had my stitches out from Dec 11th and impressions made for my final teeth. It will be another 4-6 weeks. This is taking forever to finish this process. At least I didn’t have to get shots this time but it wasn’t comfortable for sure. Still waiting to get our taxes back as we had to,mail them to our tax guy this year. We used to go there’ but he’s not doing that anymore. He’s had them about three weeks and haven’t heard a word. Frustrating! I’m concerned since we had that teeth money out of retirement so it will show as income we r writing off medical but I don’t think that will balance out. I hope so. Well, that’s about it tonight. Mary did unwatchable that grand old opry show the other night? I thought it was really good. Next county show is May 8 …the Acms so mark your calendar now. Night everyone

Here I am, Ladies! Well, I'm still having a few "episodes" here and there with my eyes. I went to the doctor and she thought I might have vertigo from when I hit my head. She thought I might have dislodged some calcium crystals that are in the inner ear. If they get knocked out of place, it causes problems with balance. Anyway, she referred me to a Physical Therapist who specializes in vertigo. His opinion is, no, that's not my problem. He thinks that I gave myself a mild concussion when I hit my head so hard and now brain is sending me some bad signals. That's the simplest I can describe what he said. I'm not sure I understand it completely. He gave me an exercise to do with my eyes for fine focusing. When he tested me, I thought I was focused but I really wasn't. Every one in a while, when I am changing focus from close to far and then back again, one of my eyes refuses to cooperate with the other. It's a very odd, almost swooning-like feeling when it happens. Anyway, the eye exercises seem to be helping as the episodes are fewer and not so dramatic when they happen. He also gave me exercises to strengthen my core but I must admit, I'm better at doing the eye exercises than the core ones. I still find my new glasses to be annoying, too.

Last week, a skunk sprayed under my house at 3:30 a.m. The smell was so bad that it woke me up. The following day or so, I went down into the back yard to check where the skunk could have gotten into my yard and found 3 spots where it had dug under the fence. I was able to block those spots with cobblestones which are very heavy. I didn't do my back any favors lifting them and moving them into place. I'll have to keep a close eye on it. My daughter will be bringing her dogs down here in June. Her new employer has invited her and her boyfriend to Cabo for a few days for a work retreat and she will leave her dogs with me. I don't need for Clio to get sprayed again. Yikes, that was bad.

Mary, I feel sorry for your sweet little Zoie. I hope her ears are doing better and that her blood work comes out okay and she can have the dental work she needs. Is there any way you could pin her ears up so they could air out?
It would help prevent ear infections. When you and Matthew are done cleaning out your garage, maybe you could come and do mine. Did you make corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day? Jane and I went out to dinner that night so I had the restaurants version. A couple of days later, I made my own which I liked better. LOL

Dianne, I was wondering how things were going with your teeth. It's quite a production, isn't it? I did get my taxes filed and have already received my refund, which is sizeable. Unfortunately, the accountant's bill will come to more than half of it. I wish I was knowledgeable enough to do it myself but since it has to do with a trust and capital gains and other investment stuff, I need to make sure it's done properly. I have no plans to go anywhere. Right now, I'm just looking forward to walking across a parking lot without feeling like I'm not quite in balance,

Hi everyone. Not much going on in my world but working at my sister’s. Chad hasn’t been feeling well so we don’t go everyday. Actually he mostly goes alone because there’s too much heavy stuff (big boxes), etc. He seems to get more done without me because he watches me to make sure I don’t overdo! Mary, this experience has awakened me to get rid of stuff at home, too. I don’t want my kids to have to go through what we’re going through. It makes me think about my Mom who really downsized a lot in her later years, for the same reason. She was so smart and thoughtful. We really didn’t appreciate her enough! I’m even going to downsize my craft stuff when we have the estate sale. My Jennifer friends are going to come over and take what they want first. I have so much, I could probably open a craft store! I have even stopped buying anything but glue for the time being!
Dianne, I sent my sister’s and my taxes off this week. My Refund will be automatically deposited into my bank, but I had to mail Marie’s, because a special form had to be included. I’m glad Louis is doing better.

JL, we have skunks that roam over from the river. Sometimes the smell wakes me up, too. Ugh!!! I hope they don’t get back under your house. Years ago we had a family that burrowed under my neighbors patio, and they would come in our backyard to feast on my hubby’s veg garden! I had to call the Federal Trapper to come over because my neighbor didn’t want to be bothered. They dug under the wood fence we had at the time, so he set the trap on our side to catch them. There was mom, dad and 4 babies. I took about 4-5 days to get them all.
