As some of you know by now, I NEVER read books just to read a book. About four weeks ago, I knew the movie “Nights in Rodanthe” was coming to a theater near me!! I was SO excited, cuz I just LOVE Richard Gere!!! He and Diane Lane had been in several movies together before, and I just knew this was going to be another wonderful, romantic movie that I would want to watch over and over again….
I was at my mother’s house and noticed that she had the book – I pulled it off the shelf and noticed the other books around it - Message in a Bottle, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember and several others – I got excited, cuz I had seen all those movies and had NO idea they were all written by the same person – let alone, the gorgeous man on the back cover……. So, I decided to read the book.
As I started reading, I envisioned Richard Gere and melted away in this romantic setting and fell in love with both of the characters. It was after midnight, I knew I had to be up before 6a.m., but I was NOT going to put that book down until I was finished – I only had thirty pages to go…….. When I finished the book – I was literally bawling my eyes out – it was SO sad. The first thing I said to my mother was, I sure hope reading the book doesn’t ruin the movie for me. My heart ached for days after finishing the book.
Fast forward to Thursday afternoon – I took my mother to see “Nights in Rodanthe”. Not five minutes into the movie – it was ruined. They messed up my love story – my fantasy – don’t get me wrong – the movie was good. I will probably watch it again when it comes out on cable. Yes, Richard Gere still looks AMAZING in blue jeans. But it was such a disappointment for me. If you haven’t watched it yet, I won’t ruin it for you.
I had thought about reading the other books on my mother’s shelves, but will I be disappointed in ALL of the love stories that I have grown to know?
So, my question to you all, have you ever read a book and then been disappointed in the outcome of the movie – or vice versa, the movie was WAY better than the book?

First!!!
Good morning HOoters!!! It's been a long week, but I'm back!!!
Off to read the blog.
damn...congrats HODI on first!
glad your puter is all better and welcome back.
ok, gonna read the blog now
As many of you know, I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I have read all the books (twice!!!) and have seen all the movies several times. I am not so bothered that they don't stay totally true to the books.....how could they? The last book alone would probably take at least 10 hours to make into a movie. I tend to take it for what it is.....I love both equally. And can appreciate them for what they are.
MEK - I love all the Nicholas Sparks books!!! What amazing love stories that come out of a man that is about my age!!! I'm going to have to pull them back out and re-read Nights in Rodanthe. But I think my all time favorite is The Notebook, and the follow-up The Wedding. I also really like his book Three Weeks with my Brother.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. It looks like I have some catching up to do!!!
Good morning MO!!! Thanks for taking my call yesterday!! As always.....so great to talk with you!!!
I have freshly brewed coffee, chocolate milk, Diet Dew, Diet Pepsi.....and a huge box of Glazer Donuts for everyone on the counter!!! ENJOY!!!
MEK...sorry you were disappointed in the movie. I hope to see it, even if it sucks, so I can stare at Richard Gere for a couple of hours!
I think that a lot of movies that are based on books leave us wanting more. But I think it is because when we read a book, we have time to savor the characters and imagine the surroundings to be perfect...since the visuals are in our heads, they are the way we want them to be. Then the movie has to re-create the images we imagined and that is not possible.
This isn't based on any actual scientific studies...just my slightly skewered brain!
Thanks for the blog!
MO - Makes sense to me......luv your slightly skewered brain!!!
left, left, left, right, left!!!
left, left, left, right, left!!!
10!!!!!
That was for all my friends that kept me "contected" while my computer was being fixed!!! I missed all of you....:)
HODI...always a pleasure!
I am thinking a glazer sounds pretty good right about now!
LYNN D...I really wanted to comment on your blog yesterday, but it seemed I was at a loss for all written word. You're so passionate and compassionate. I agree that this is a very scary time and it feels like we are taking so many steps backwards. I thought that by 2008 we would be beyond the racism, bigotries and anti-semetism. Now more then ever is the time when we need to come together...not be split apart for such slanderous and ignorant campaign tactics. The issues should be the issue. The future and preserving our country...not turning it into a mockery. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings in such a heartfelt and meaningful blog. {{{hugs}}} to you my dear friend.
HODI...I think I mentioned to you, I have never seen or read any Harry Potter! Am I the only Potter virgin around? LOL
looks like i did it again...cleared the room
Good Morning Everyone!!!!
Congrats on first Jodi!
If I hadn't slept in, I coulda been First! ha! ;O)
Mek, great blog!!!
Hi, Mo!
I love John Grisham and enjoyed the movies they have made out of his book's. I think they have picked appropiate actor's to play his character's.
Ok, I simply MUST get some coffee.
bb~n~abit!
♥
Damn, after only one sip of coffee, I already see a spelling error!
I like Richard G. too, but I think the one movie he did that was disappointing for me was the one with Winona Ryder. Don't remember the name.
Mo, same here, I've never read or seen anything about Harry Potter.
Good Morning Everyone!!
MEK: I love to read mysteries...so the only problem I usually encounter with a book that's been turned into a movie is that I always know who the murderer is!! I have to struggle not to tell, so others can enjoy the movie.
I loved reading "Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris in 1981..it scared the crap out of me. I thought the plot was perfect..and the name of the villian, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, was just wonderfully evil. The movie came out 1986 and was equally creepy...but I liked the book better.
Then the sequel came out. "The Silence of the Lambs"...OMG..book and movie...absolute perfection. I loved them both.
I think reading the book sometimes helps me understand the characters better, and I find I can enjoy the movie a little more. And since I know when all the scary stuff is gonna happen...I can be ready to cover my eyes!! :)
Great blog MEK!! Thank you!
BTW, Love Emmy Lou's Hair.
Why can't mine look that good going gray?
I saw a interview she did right after her hair went all gray and they asked if she colored it. Well, of course she didn't! Her brown hair actually stayed soft and came in the perfect color of gray! I've been upset with her ever since! ;o)
MEK, very good blog.
Hubby and I loved the Lord of the Ring's movies. We watched all three at the theater and we also bought the movies.
So then I thought to myself, "Since I love them so much why don't I read the book."
The book was way too complicated for me. My pea size brain could not sort out all the big words that the author used.
Hey Zona.....Baby!!!!!!!!
How you be???♥
Hey Hey Iteach!!♥
G'Morning BIRDEE and ZONA!
i liked john grisham books, too. And wasn't to disappointed in the movies.
Silence of the Lambs...LOVED it.
Good morning Everyone!
Congrats on first Jodi!
Great Blog Mek.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!
Hi Birdee!
I'm off to another fall field trip today with my family.
If anyone would like to go along we are going to Selmi's pumpkin patch which is right in my home town.
ITEACH...did Dean get the details about the job?
Yes, he did. It is for a company in Canada. I think it is called Johnson and Johnson. He will get to work mostly from home. The pay is outstanding, but it is only for six weeks.
However, we are hoping it will lead to more work.
JODI: Congrats on FIRST!! I missed you!! :D I love the Harry Potter books too...and I understand that time constraints keep them from putting everything into the movie, but I still find myself wishing they could!
MO: I agree with you 100%...the book lets your imagination run wild..whereas the movie might not quite measure up to what you've envisioned.
BIRDEE: I am not a big Richard Gere fan...mostly cuz my brother kinda looks like him. I try to see past that..but sometimes I can't.
OK..lots to do today..ugh..lol...have a great day everyone!!
Have a great day everyone!
Morning Glories!
Yay Hodi is back!
MEK great blog!
I am in the book is always better catagory. My mind is so visual when I am reading that I see the whole story and get totally wrapped up in all of the nuances the written word offers.
When they translate the book into a movie somehow they lose so much. I realize that trying to get all of it into a 2 hour film medium is very difficult and it is fun to see it recreated, they just somehow never do the story the full justice it deserves.
The only movie I have seen that I thought came very close to the book was Schindlers list. Speilberg did a masterful job of bringing that true story to life.
Ok now I am going to read the comments.
BIRDEE: HI! I be slooooow...I started typing at 19 and we're at 29..pass me some caffeine please!!
HI ITEACH!! I haven't seen the Lord Of The Rings series..I know, I know...and I have all the books too..only made it half way through The Hobbit. Have fun today...I'm gonna use Google to see where you're going!!
MO: SWAK!! If I hadn't given all my Harry Potter books to the kid next door..who is now 6'7" and grunts instead of talking...I would send them to you. ;)
HI LYNND! I have never read Schindler's List..but saw the movie. I cried my eyes out.
Mo: Thank you for your beautiful words this morning. I so agree with everything you said.
Jodi: I have read the Harry Potter books up the 4th one. I have seen the movies and they do a great job of bringing the magic to life.
Birdee: I have read many Grisham books and have a few of his 1st editions, but I got burned out on him and have not read many of his new ones. Maybe I need to go back and try one.
Zona: I love mysteries! I do the same thing when Mr. Lynn D and I go to the movies I usually guess who dun it! It drives him crazy! LOL Silence of the lambs was very good on film.
Iteach: Congrats to Hubby! We have all of the Lord of the rings movies too! Mr. Lynn D loves them. I enjoy the movies but had a really hard time with the books.
Good Morning size 18 Bebbi! Congrats to you!
HI Lynn!
Zona, caffeine coming your way....
Iteach, I hope the job turn's into more work for hubby too!
Zona: Schindlers list, the book is excellent but a little hard to get through because the author has a lot of facts and figures from that time. So I had to read it very carefully to get the full meaning of the history he was sharing. Still it was one of the most moving stories I have ever read.
Lynn, I have a couple more of Grishams' book's too that I have not read yet. But, I just got burned out on reading in general. My bad! Maybe I'll crack one open this weekend, because I really do enjoy it. It is relaxing.
Morning All!
MEK...What an interesting blog! I find that I almost always like the book better. I think it's because I almost always read the book first! The one time I saw the movie first (The Notebook) I liked the movie better. I think it is because whatever impressions are in our mind first prevail and we make unfavorable comparisons if those impressions are not the ones the author or filmmaker has.
Does this even make sense???? I think I need more coffee!!
Welcome back Jodi!!
iteach....Congrats to Hubby! Will cross fingers and toes that the job turns into even more work!
40!
SCIRISH...makes perfect sense to me!
I should be getting ready for work.............
Zona! Your brother looks like Richard Gere?? Can you introduce me? ;-)
SCIRISH...how's your back feeling? Did the shots work for you?
Good morning all
Wanted to be first, but that became a joke, after having a computer that wouldn't cooperate this morning.
MEK, Great blog! I haven't seen Rodanthe yet, but hope to do so soon. Btw, if Richard Gere was in a cartoon, I'd want to go see it.
I'm a John Grisham fan and thoroughly enjoyed The Pelican Brief. I guess my most favorite of his work is The Firm. The movie wasn't near as good as the book, and was a little too generalized.
I also enjoyed his book the Pelican Brief, and I wasn't disappointed with the movie. Denzel Washington was fantastic.
I read a few years ago that Grisham was an attorney at one time practicing in the South, and I guess this has inspired many of his works. I enjoyed The Chambers, too, but didn't get to see the movie.
My most favorite reading is Biographical. I always feel like I've met so many of the people that I've read about, sometimes giving me a different view of their character, personalities, and of course their actions which brought their name into the public arena.
Congrats Jodi on #1
I'm glad you are back in the nest again. Being without a computer for a week can really make for a clean house, though. Ha!
Zona, I'm coming to your house for Thanksgiving to meet you ,"Richard". I always thought my brother was handsome, but he's no Richard Gere. Ha!
Part one
Part deux...The Sequel
Waving a hello to:
Mo...wish you didn't have to work today.
Birdeeee...I didn't know you liked John Grisham too. Are you behaving today?
Zona...Sorry, not a Tom Harris fan.
I tried to read Silence of the Lamb, but didn't finish it. Isn't it funny how different people like different things.
I'm waving a really big wing to :
iteach
bebbi
lynnD, and
scirish.
Be back in a few minutes, need to return a few telephone calls.
Once again, MEK, love your blog today.
Happy Saturday!!
We have a massive storm blowing thru - SO, i need to NOT be on the computer.. so, I will be brief until this passes thru..
jodi - congrats on FIRST..
waving howdy to Jodi, MO, Birdee, Zona, Iteach, bebbi, Lynn D, Scirish, and Ronnie..
thanks for the kind words about the blog.......
can't wait to see what everyone has to say!!!
cpgem - THANK YOU so much for finding Emily Lou!!! that song is at the end of the movie - and I knew immediately it was her singing!! It's beautiful!!
okay - need to sign off - it's raining sideways!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
doo deee dooo......
left, left, left, right, left!!!
50!!!!!!!!!!
Woo hoooooooooooo!!!! 10 and 50!!!
Mo...The shots didn't seem to do much...I go back Wed for a second series..*fingers crossed* These things are not exactly pleasant!
SCIRISH: I should have qualified that...my bro reminded me of Richard Gere when he (brother) was in his 30's. I haven't seen him for years..but I can't shake that image, ruins every movie for me.
RONNIE: My brother probably isn't any Richard Gere anymore either..lol..
I'm thrilled we all like different things..it's what makes life interesting! :)
JODI: Not home yet...maybe I was too loud?? ;)
MEK: Send it this way PLEASE!!!
JODI: Goof!! lol...Congrats on 50!
Flying through the frost is on everything here this morning. So I am getting ready to jump in a hot shower and then head out with Mr. Lynn D to go out to lunch and then grossry shop.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Jodi, Don't you feel so out of touch with EVERYTHING when you don't have your computer??? What did we do 20 years ago when there was no internet, I bet Moms got a lot of work done LOL. Glad you got yours fixed.
Good Day to Everyone, I'm stopping in to say HI, John and I are married 22 years today we got married at 8:30 am, I was only 20, it was so nice last night because my mom and I and my kids, while John was sleeping was talking about the night before my wedding, my BOYS yes BOYS (I only thought daughters would of liked it) enjoyed it so much, how my mom threw John out of the house at 11:30 pm and How my cousin Victor who passed away in Jan. 1994 was making us laugh because he was trying to sleep and no one could sleep in our house LOL.
We are taking the kids, and my mom, to the movies and to dinner.
The kids want to be with us this year, but I think what our family has been through the last couple of weeks (things are calming down) its good to spend time as a family.
Have a good day everyone.
Mek I also love Richard Gere, I have not seen this movie yet, but I will. I loved Officer and a Gentleman. I was a Senior in High School when I seen it LOL
I will check in later tonite maybe.
Renee: Happy Anniversary!!
I'm back...
Enjoying reading all the comments.
MEK~ Enjoy the sideways rain. lol
Renee Eve~Happy 22nd Anniversary. I Hope you have a fun celebration evening with your family.
I always enjoy going to dinner and a movie.
Jodi Congrats! You are the first Hooter to arrive today. I'm sorry I missed your call! I was in the john. TMI? I'm dragging today as my flu shot made me feel a little ill this time.
Zona I read Red Dragon back then, too, and LOVED it. They made it into a movie called "Manhunter". Did you see it? Of course, back then no one yet knew the name Hannibal Lector.
MEK Excellent blog today. Thank you! There was actually one movie that I thought was better than the book but I can't remember what it was. Usually, if it is a good and masterful writer, we can get so immersed in the characters because we are privy to their thoughts and inner feelings. Movies just can't go that deep.
Renee Eve Happy Anniversary! I hope you have a wonderful day.

Well hot diggity!!! SCORE!! LOL...
CPGEM: The water is a little too cold for swimming...I think we have to find a warmer activity. ;)
Zona The guy who William Peterson was chasing in Manhunter.....I saw that same actor the other night on L&O:SVU, also much older. I guess we all are. Boo, hiss.
Hi J/L....
Zona:
LOL... Florida perhaps...
Happy Saturday everyone! I have been a little lazy today. It took me forever to drag myself to the mirror and put my face on! One look and I almost went back to bed! It ain't easy getting old lol!
MEK, Loved your blog. I loved reading the bridges of Madison County, but was disappointed in the movie. Maybe because I imagined me in the lead lol! I think my imagination goes into overdrive when reading.Movies seem to do all the work for you.
Reneve,congrats on you anniversary!
iteach~loved the card! So happy for you and Mr iteach. Praying for additional work for him!
MEK~ Sounds like spooky Halloween weather girl!
I think I will look for that book today.
Jodi~ My 'puter has been acting up for the last 2 weeks. Correction, it has been my ISP that has been messing up. I am switching to another after our contract is up in Jan.
I have put off getting gross-eries long enough...gottah go...

Glad you Enjoyed..
Hi Mary...
Well, I think you would have been perfect in the lead :O)
Ronnie:
I used to like John Grisham back in the day, and then it seemed his books were all the same, and that is when I got into Porn!!! Mo can tell you the rest...
And
Why the heck would you ask Birdee if she is being Good...Heck not a day goes by where she does not stir up trouble...

J/L
You are nekkid... :O)
J/L:
Its ok to be nekkid, Birdee does it all the time....
Crap, another typo! "I meant to SAY" not "see". It must be this bum arm of mine. LOL
J/L
"See" no clothes on? lol....
J/L:
Check out my pick for QOTD...
Happy Saturday--- It is a cold rainy day here in Denver. It is about 41 outside..brrr. It is good weather to stay in all day but we have a wedding tonight but that will fun too. This weather almost (I said almost) makes me feel like cooking.
Happy Anniversary, Renee Eve. I hope you and your family have an enjoyable evening. What movie are you going to see?
MEK, good blog and I just saw the movie last week too. I have never read any of his books but I think I am going to get some and start reading them. I usually like to read a book before I see the movie or the book becomes boring to me if I have already seen the movie. I just plain need to get back into reading time again.
ZONA, what is the new "warm activity" you are planning to take part in now?
JODI: Glad to see you back..missed you. Is your shirt clean for tomorrow?
MO; I have never seen or read Harry Potter either. I just don't think I would find it interesting to me. We all love different books and movies, don't we? We we have the big jet meeting, I bet we can all figure out a movie to go too. I think we are waiting on JODI to win the PowerBall for that party.
CAROL; I see I made QOTD..thanks.
J/L: Is your arm still in that sling? I am almost packed so get ready to get to know me for a l-o-n-g time!
Think I will snuggle under some blankets and read the paper before it is time to get ready.
Happy Saturday to all of you...
J/L: I am getting a tmi visual of you without your clothes on and just that sling! You are quite a diverse gal....no wonder Custard and you have so many "antics"!
I am going to church tonite... I will see ya all later...
Have a great day!

Congrats on first, Jodi and welcome back!
MEK, love your blog! I've read all Nicholas Sparks' books and I think I've enjoyed the books more than the movies. That's usually the case with me. I think books have details you just can't always get in a movie. I remember when I read The Notebook--I was teary through the whole book and then outright bawled through the whole last chapter.
Happy Anniversary, Renee!!
Hodi~ Congrats on first~ Do you think they could make Lamb into a movie? :)~

I am so clueless sometimes.
You know, Shirley hasn't been online on myspace since October 4th. I am really getting worried too.
LOL! The nest is funny today!
Dianne and like-minded owls: I strongly recommend the Potter books, even if you don't think they would be your cup of tea. They're seriously a delight, well written, well plotted, and the characters are beguiling.
I've read all the books before seeing the films, and find that I enjoy the movies hugely anyway.
OK, the one book/movie combo where you absolutely have to read the book is 2001: A Space Odyssey. I don't know why Stanley Kubrick elected to create a film that is completely incomprehensible, when there's actually a coherent plot lurking behind all those stunning visuals at the end of the film, but he did. Result: You have to read the book to understand the movie!
Bebbi Yes, it is the Quote Of The Day seen to the right of the daily blog. :)
Shirley, Shirley, Bo Birley Please don't make me do the whole damn song. :(

I want to thank everyone for sharing their thoughts today.. I agree that reading the book lets you "go places" - that movies just don't have the time to take you.. but this one, just left out SO many important things and changed others that made the movie make no sense - if that makes sense...
I guess the moral to my blog, is that I need to read more!!! LOL..
:-)
hugs to all!!!!!!
now - I see we have ice cream tonight!!!
:-)
Iteach:
How was the pumpkin patch?
And
Ronnie sure does dream of the sea...she has "tuna of the sea"
:O)
Hey to all the Hooters...
I had a long nite... Church was amazing.. It is Columbus Day on Monday and each Columbus Day we have parades in several of our near by towns. Each year, Italian Police are brought over from Italy to march in the parades. They were at church tonite, as the mass was in celebration of them being here.. They were very handsome...
The mass was said in Italian and English.. It was beautiful...
Columbus was Italian, so all my near by towns, get out the Italian flags, The Italian feast foods, The Italian singers etc etc etc... So fun!!!
I am not going to any parades tomorrow tho, as I have gone to them for many years, and well, they kinda all start looking the same. I think as a Adult, its just has fun when one is a child..
Wow I think this is long...
Lets try this again...
"I think as a Adult, its just not as interesting when one is a child"
Zona - wouldn't it suck if your mysteries changed "who done it" in the movies??!!
Scirish - your comment made perfect sense......
Lynn and Just Lin - I agree about the movie not being able to give the book full justice...
MO - I did enjoy letting my imagination go while reading this book - especially picturing Richard Gere in the part!!
Sandie - I've decided that I WILL read his other books - heck, my mom has them ALL on her shelf - i guess he has another one coming out soon.......
Jodi - I think I will re-read "Nights" already - cuz I want to remember the book after just seeing the movie!! :-)
Birdee - I love Emily Lou also!!!
Ronnie - usually the only books that I do read are autobiographies and bio's......
Renee Eve- happy anniversary..
Bebbi - congrats on all your steps.
Dianne - you really DO need to read the book and then we can discuss the differences - you will understand WHY I was disappointed.
mary - hope you found the book - I know Target has the paperback..
whabby - we watched LOTS of college football today also!!
:-)
cpgem - glad you enjoyed church!!
iteach - pumpkin patch sounds like fun....
Mek:
Wow wild weather in AZ... Today in NJ, it was picture perfect...So I will take it as a lucky day...
Glad you got thru the storm ok...
I listened to the first disk of "The Last lecture" tonight - (I had bought the audio version - and just never have gotten around to it). I am going to make a point to get this listened to...
cpgem - apparently, the weather we got was from Norbert that was going thru the Cabos.... so, I'm hear to tell ya, it came thru here!!! With gusto!!
Mo:
Birdee flew into my bedroom window, however I had the window closed, and of course silly Birdee did not realize that, and flew right into the window... I think she is stunned, however I gave her a beer and she came around....
Mek:
I did not here of that storm, I usually check out the National Hurricane website (I know I am a goof) but I must have forgotten to check this week....
Mek:
I can't get into the Last Lecture, I did try tho...
CAROL...are you sure it was Birdee and not some extra terrestial coming for a probe???
MEK...My imagination would take me to unmentionable places with Richard Gere! And even more unspeakable places with JBJ ;)~
iteach and Mek: Thanks!
Iteach, how did you do today?
Whabby: if you are around, I sent you an MS mail.
Carol~ are you okay? I heard you got probed! AND IT WAS HUGE!~ I understand if you don't want to probe and tell~
Tina:
Yes, you can get books on Porn, I believe one is called.. "The Book on Porn" :O)
Tina:
The aliens are coming on Monday, Ha maybe they are coming with Christopher Columbus...Ask Ronnie she knows more...
Some have arrived early, and the probing began. And no, I do not probe and tell, I pinky swore!!!!
Mo:
It was def Birdee, as she banged into the window... ET's, can slip into the window with no one noticing...
:O)
Tina:
Actually, the alien only had four fingers, so would the last finger be the pinky, or would the last finger be the ring finger????
So if the last finger is the ring finger, than I "ring swore"
:O)
cpgem - the guy that is reading the book to me - I really don't care for his voice - SO, this may be a LONG time in finishing!!
MO - :-)
I just finished watching "catch and release" for the 100th or more time - and now, I've just found "Pretty Woman" - think I've seen it a million!!!
but - I'm waiting for Trading Spaces to come on!!!
watched several upsets in college football today - (cpgem - i know you are missing your "Al Michael's" report!!)..
:-)
as far as baseball goes -
Boston and Tampa Bay are tied in the 9th inning - SO, my movie has NOT started yet!!!
:-(

Mo:

Carol-
The pumpkin patch was perfect fall weather.
The horse/wagon ride was so beautiful. That was my very favorite part.
I love pumpkin patches. There is one more I want to go to before the end of October, but I'm not sure if we will have time. It is called Tanner's and it is about a hour away.
Bebbi, I'm not done walking yet. I will report soon.

Tina -lol at "your books" not being suitable to be made into movies!!! that put a smile on my face!!
My arm is feeling better so I don't think we can use it as an excuse to be lazy tomorrow. Rats!
Just Lin - glad your arm is better!!
They have run out of baseballs in this darn game - had to send someone upstairs to get some more!!
it will NEVER end...

169~
well shit....if you are going to leave it there....I'm gonna take it~ lol~ goodnight all~
Anybody still awake?
Sorry I missed your blog all day, MEK. Busy morning (brrrr, started at 27*), 3 hour+ baby shower this afternoon, and OREGON (31) over UCLA (24) game tonight. GO DUCKS!
Tried, without success, to recall any recent book vs. movie combos. LOVE books, movies usually disappoint. Exceptions are a movie that makes me laugh 'til I cry, or vice versa.
Good Morning Everyone!!!
I'm up way too early!!
I fell alseep early last night, or at least I thought I did. Now I see I was apparently sleep flying and flew into Carol's window, then she got me drunk so I just passed out!!
Thanks alot, Carol! I was just trying to come over and keep you company, cuz I know you is askeered of them Alien's! I made you a foil hat and wanted to see if it fit! Now it's all crumpled up and I have to make another one!
Hope I have enough foil left!!!
*
And.....I didn't even get any ice cream for my effort!!! Damn!!!!

Open your window!!!!!
J/L, hope that arm is feeling better.
