Good Morning!

LYNN: This would be me too if I lived near the ocean..in fact the kite flying looks verrry familiar..we took quite a few trips to Newport Beach during the colder winter months when we lived in Ca..and the one time we took my sister with us..she looked just like the woman sitting in the chair..lol.. I sure hope your dream comes true and that you can become that Goosebumped Beach Bum! :)

Hi MICHAEL!

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Michael - Your avatar becomes more intriguing each morning. I have no idea why we see only one leg. Please explain.

Good Morning Lynn - Loved the video. We have done our sharing of winter camping in the past. We liked it because there were no crowds. As long as you have adequate clothing it's fun. I remember one year in 1972 when we went as far north as we could on this island to Long Beach. It is always windy there and is well known for its surfing even though the water is freezing all year round. The kids loved it. I remember Jack building a big bonfire and wrapping a dozen Russet potatoes tightly in foil. We waited an hour and when Jack poked at them all he found was scraps of foil. We had a good laugh at the time and it is one of our family memories that we bring up every once in a while.

When I was able to walk the dogs we went out regardless of the weather. I would be dressed in my yellow rubber outfit that made me look like a fisherman, (politically incorrect name, I think it's now "fisher") and the "fur babies" had their raincoats. It was most enjoyable.

Good Morning Zona - Please move to the Pacific North West and we can all become beach bums together. The phone is ringing and I believe it is you.

Have a great day everyone.

Michael Congrats on popping in (or popping out) first today. I want to hear that explanation of your avatar and why there is only one leg. :)

LynnD That was cute. I recall days on the beach that were just like that. Silly that I never go anymore, being as I only loive 1 mile inland. Today would be a good day. We have beautiful blue skies. The surfers are always out there, rain or shine.

Zona As a teenager growing up in Southern California, we would drive to the beach quite often in the summer. This was before they had all the freeways that they have now so it was a long drive on highways, winding roads going over the mountains, and even going through some residential areas just to get to the coast. It took a long time but I don't remember how long....I'm thinking 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Anyway, Newport Beach was frequently our destination and it was soooo disappointing to arrive there and have the coast be all overcast and cold.

Tinka It's those stories when things don't go quite right that make some of the most fun memories. They bring laughs and smiles forever.

I can explain my avatar. Easy.

Form...pure and simple! Just look at the line on the right side of that leg (inside) and the way it continues to the ankle and foot...then the way those toes fit perfectly flat on the floor...

Thats a good looking leg from the knee to the tippy toes. A thing of beauty I say.

J/LIN: I can imagine how disappointed you must have been after driving all that way. We were luckier during the summer months..I don't remember many cold beach days then..but ya know..I don't remember much anymore anyway.. ;D

I just looked thru some pics..I was going to post one of me at the beach as my avatar..can't find one..oh well..probably a good thing..lol..

TINKA: I would love to live in the PNW!

btw..was it me? ;D
