The manor looks beautiful! The decorating elves out did themselves this year. And the trees along the drive and throughout the manor and grounds are gorgeous. The wreath on my door was such a pleasant surprise.

Well good morning to all and HAPPY HOLIDAY PARTY!! I will be with a client until about 3 CA time. Then I'll be whisked off to Mr. B's holiday party, where I'll be the designated sober person and techie, since there will be some secret computer shit happening.
I will of course, join in the festivities here via my trusty (not!) laptop and/or netbook. I think the party here will be more fun!

Why am I, the only child without a car, going out to do shopping for mum? Oh wait, I remember, the oldest lives over two hours away, the son only drives in his community (half an hour away) cause he doesn't have a license, and the other daughter took off shopping out of town this morning with a friend. I guess that leaves the unemployed daughter with no money and only taxis to get around. Make sense? I didn't think so. If I'm not too pissed off I might be back later. Grrrrrrrr!!!

Hi and Happy Party to all of us...today is the day I am getting ready to leave for the mountains to ride the "Polar Express" and see the lights tonight and have dinner up there. There will be a spelling bee tonight at my "other" party. The contestant wears an electric dog collar and we give him words to spell. Like See (Sea, C) that they can't possibly get right. I get to be the proctor, so I am looking forward to inflicting pain and head games.
Okay, as I said, I'm enroute to this other party. As was done last year, I was promised a driver to take me to the venue. I heard an ice cream truck (that tinny music) and thought it strange for it, being winter.
A fully dressed chauffeur rang my doorbell to drive me to the party. In an ice cream truck. A pink one. The same blasted one I rode in last year. The years before that, I was chauffered in a Yugo a sidecar motorcycle with a helmet sporting Mickey Mouse ears and a beat-up school bus.
There is much to be said for telecommutinng, not the least of which is lack of humiliation of being driven in dumb-ass cars. Shirley, I need some of your snowballs. I want to throw a bunch of them.
I am looking for a bag to put over my head for when we get where we're going. I know the driver jerk will turn on the music again and I don't want anyone to see me getting out of that contraption.
This party should be rocking by now... where's everyone? Maybe Shirley got arrested for assault via snowball. Or she's just frozen in all her spare ammunition.

Our trip to the mtns was very nice but I was wishing for some snow flurries. The weather was really nice. We ate in a cute little place that was so homey like the little town we were in and their was a man with his guitar playing Christmas carols. We started with a Hot Buttered Rum. Well, look at all the cookies all over the floor and they are still warm. MrZ must have been roaming around here recently. I think I will eat them all really quick. I love them off the floor because that mean no calories!!

SHIRLEY AND CAROL can sure cause a lot of trouble and then they leave and everyone thinks they are so sweet like Snow White or something!
