i miss the summer
i feel myself getting in the
winter mode of hibernation
and am not looking forward to it
even tho, i enjoy our change of seasons
the upcoming season is the most
i dislike
the cold, the dark, the weather
just really not my favorite time of year
when i see this pic of my parents
i am reminded of the
summer smiles that are constant
hoboken is a great place to
wander about
esp Frank Sinatra Park
(across the river is NYC)
so to get my day going i shall look
at these pics more than once today
and remember the summer of 2010
with laughter and smiles

It snowed yesterday and it's snowing now. The grass and trees are white. The cars in the lot are covered. So far the roads are clear. It's 33*
This SUX.
It has been raining here since Thursday afternoon and it is very depressing. It's suppose to continue until Tuesday.
Carol I'm glad you have some nice memories of the summer to see you threw the fall and winter seasons.

CAROL - Luv the pic of Sarah & CiCi!! It was a bone chilling 24* here this morning, but thankfully no snow yet. Going to be a high of 50* today and 60* tomorrow.....I'll take all the lingering nice weather I can get!!

EBJ We're having a nice day here, too, although not as warm here on the coast. Right now it is 62 in the shade on my deck. I'm kind of looking forward to some rain tomorrow. I just don't want wind.

Carol Love your pics! As you know, we need winter in order to prepare the earth for the glories of spring and then the sweet warmth of summer. Just like in life, we need the sad, hard times in order to fully appreciate the happy, joyous times. All the seasons have a purpose. Does anyone want to join me in singing "Turn! Turn! Turn!"? LOL
HODI...It stayed! The visibility on the freeway this afternoon as I headed north was very limited. Luckily, by the time I came home it cleared up. In the 30 minutes or less that I had gone into one of my cousin's house the car was COVERED. The first snow clearing of the season :(
JUST LIN...if I was rational, I would agree with you about the pretty white dressing...but I am too cold to be rational at the moment!!

EBJ...let me turn my wounds to you so you can throw some salt in!!!!! If I had the sliding glass door open (well, if I actually had a sliding glass door) you would need an ice pick to move me!

Love the pic with NYC in the back round just across from the Hudson..
Hoboken is such a great place, that walkway (where my parents are standing) goes on for a while, and as you walk, all you see is the Hudson River and NYC.. the day we went it was just beautiful. We took the train in from Lyndhurst as the parking in Hoboken is awful, the train lets you off right by that walkway..
My parents loved it.. We had a great day, that is now a great memory..

I just LOVE the rain! Not cold rain, but the kind when you get wet enough to enjoy running inside. It makes the ground smell so fresh!

Don't forget to change you stupid clocks back an hour tonight so the stupid sun can set a stupid hour earlier and we will get another stupid extra hour of darkness for some stupid reason. Whoever thought this up was stupid!

We have had mild weather the past few days, but tomorrow is supposed to bring a storm. The wind is already picking up. I really hate the wind, but it sounds like a good excuse to stay in bed all day. I have been nursing a kink in my neck for two days and the heating pad isn't helping much. Maybe a day of bed rest will fix it.

Mr Z has been on vacation this week. He works so many hours and rarely gets time off so we have been spending a lot of time together. It's been a really nice week..but I think he's ready to go back..lol..
CAROL: It's still pretty warm here..we were in the 90's for three days and today it was in the 80's. I can't wait for the cool temps..Bring 'em on!! :D

CAROL: Loved your pictures today of your parents and the beautiful New York view. I am loving fall and ours is lasting unusually long. We haven't had snow yet (maybe this week) and some of our trees still have the beautiful leaves on them. We are breaking records everyday with the temperatures....80 today. I don't mind the idea of winter coming because that is my second favorite season after fall. Summer is pretty but just too hot for me. TINA: remember you are my weather person so let me know when the snow will be coming my way.
We went out to dinner tonight for a little celebration and home early. We just went to Outback and got there at 5:15 (to beat the Sat night rush) and there was still a 35 min wait. We seldom go there but had a gift card and it was pretty good too.
We have all our clocks turned back and now I am going to enjoy that extra hour of sleep and ZONA we will be not confused anymore at least for six months or so.
Tomorrow is a good day as the Broncos don't play and we are going to a big family gathering. The weather being so nice we will be able to eat outside and even do some cooking on the grill....best news...NO BRONCOS!!! JODI: I will be pulling for your team tomorrow night and thanks for that "Put a Ring on it " phone call....you make me smile.
