 This is weird, but interesting!

Can you raed this? Olny 55 plepoe out of 100 can.

I cdnuolt blveiee that I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd what I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in what oerdr the ltteres in a word are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is that the frsit and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can still raed it whotuit a pboerlm. This is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!

Morning Glories,

Yes I can read that. I think they teach this method at Evelyn Wood.

Moaning Tina, you are boringly beautiful ;-)

It reads pretty fast if you do it out loud. I have seen something like this before. I found it weird, but fun!

I am waiting to hear from the body shop. I need my jeep!
My son is not too happy that his jeep will be banished from the garage lol!

Waving to Diane & LynnD~~~~~

oh! sorry!... that just popped out!

I lost sleep over those poor birdies that were gassed over Tina's house and fell to the earth dead....

thousands of them....dead...over Tina's insatiable appetite for egg salad and cabbage.....sad...

Mary!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!

Tina Somehow "Minoang" doesn't work so well for me. It looks like it would be the name of a city in the Philippines.

Zona It is very interesting how we can read that. I get the feeling that it's more like 99 out of a 100 that can.

LynnD I hope things are continuing to get better for little Eva.

Dianne Hi!

DI: HI! SWAK! :)

LYNN: I always wondered how they taught you to read War and Peace in one night..lol..

MARY: Is Jeep home yet?

DEEDEE: I checked QVC..did you know you could order that Oooey Gooey cake from them? Coconut or peanut butter chocolate..and they have bill to ship to..in case you want to send one to someone else.. ;D

J/LIN: I think you're right.. :)

It's a little nippy here..overcast with intermittent showers..so I'm going to make some comfort food..a big pot of my mom's chicken soup with homemade noodles! Everyone is invited for dinner..when I say a big pot..I'm not kidding! Technically it's called a gaboon..lol..

Have a nice day everyone!

Zona, sadly no jeep yet :(
The soup sounds wonderful!
All they are getting here tonight is hamburgers. I have a meeting tonight and not in the mood to cook.
Good for you on the exercising!
I need Bebbi to nag at me again! I need to get a jump start again!!

DeeDee, my dad told me about a date he had... He said her jaw got locked "open". There she was, poor thing. On a date, unable to close her mouth. I always wondered how someone's mouth could get stuck "open". Now I realize that good ol' Dad was probably up to no good, and I'm guessing oral sex lost its' appeal. Were you the lass that went on this ill-fated date? If so, I'm glad you finally got your mouth closed.

The blog today is a tribute to the power of the human brain. Even when we're presented with apparent nonsensical data, we can extrapolate meaningful results. It has been a source of great interest to those of us who work in artificial intelligence. We try to emulate the human thought process, but come up short every time. Great blog, Zona!

ZONA: cute blog....I can't read a word of it....just kidding....I can.

Have spent the afternoon with an ear specialist for testing to still see if they can possibly find why I am no nauseated so much of the time. It was a long afternoon and some strange kind of testing. Go back next week for results.

LYNN: How are Eva and your daughter? I hope they are better each day. Let us know when you get a minute. Also, how are you doing?

I am off to dinner with a friend. I am not too excited to go out in the 20 degree weather but off I go.

Tonight is not only Bachelor but Biggest Loser Where are They Now. I have my DVR all ready to go plus I have a husband that went to Virginia Tech so he is all ready for the Orange Bowl tonight.

Hope everyone has a good night.,

Good Evening Owls.

I just got home from spending the day with Sharon while waiting for my car to be fixed. I had to take it in to replace the hybrid battery which was on a recall list. The dealership is close to Sharon's house, so she picked me up and we hung out all day. They finally called me at 4:30 to tell me it was ready, but when I got in it to go home the warning light about the battery was still on. So, I went back in to b**ch, er inform the service rep. Sharon was already gone so I waited TWO AND 1/2 HOURS, until they really fixed it. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper!

Zona, I have seen this before and I was also surprised that I could read it. It is interesting what our brains will do for us.

Actually, we read bottom-up, with the letters first, but when the words are in connected prose, lots of top-down contextual knowledge gets applied and compensates for the garbled information coming in at the letter level.

Don't believe me? Try to identify one of these "words" without the context!
