I taped a 2 hr Biography show on the Bee Gees. It was so fun to listen to all their music and I especially loved Night Fever and all the songs they wrote for Saturday Night Fever. It's amazing to me how long they have been around. Enjoy a little John Travolta speedo action, too~

I loved yesterday's two football games. They were good games and I was glad to see the Saints and the Colts get beat. I was cheering for Seattle and Jets---two huge upsets. Today I am for KC Chiefs on first game and of course "our beloved" Packers on the second.d I looked around and pulled out my old green and gold tassels from high school so I will be wearing them in your honor!! GO PACKERS!! Boy were the Saints surprised when Seattle ( with a losing record and new coach) beat them.

It's snowing here this morning and they are saying about 10". I am planning on going to see the new Tim McGraw movie early today and my husband, SIL and the girls are going to see Tron.

It is going to be a long few days- drive to IL for the visitation today, tomorow is the funeral, then a diverted drive home to drop me off at Moms. Her (minor) surgery is on Tuesday morning. My nephew is then going to drive me back to Madison either Tuesday night or Wed. morning.

And, Zona, I posted in the Rossblog about the Arizona shooting yesterday. I know Gifford's husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, personally, having worked with him on developing test protocols for a study we conducted in 2008. So I'm really sickened by the shooting. Apparently, the bullet traversed her entire left hemisphere before exiting her forehead.
A post script from this morning: JoeMyGod (a blog by a guy named Joe Jervis... highly recommended) is reporting a story that the person who saved Gabby's life by administering immediate first aid is a young gay intern.

BEAR: I was just stunned when I finally got to hear the full story of what happened. I heard on the news that there were only about 30 people there..and he shot 18 of them. They said he had another clip, but someone wrestled the gun away. The whole incident was just so tragic and sad. I feel so badly for the victims and their families.

Ok....I loved the movie Country Strong. If you don't like country music, you won't like the movie but I really enjoyed it and all the actors did a great job...IMHO
It is snowing like crazy here. I had an annual dental checkup/cleaning tomorrow and they called tonight to tell me their office is going to be closed tomorrow because of the weather. It was pretty slippery driving home from movie late this afternoon and it is cold cold out too.

I just watched Dateline and it was so sad about the Tucson shootings. I just hate all the political talk when we all need to be mourning the loss of the lives from yesterday.

Please please please.....stop the snow in Atlanta!!!! We are all back on the phones cuz all our flights are xxld tonight and tomorrow and into tuesday~ ugh!!! Even one of the trips to Seattle for our group was canceled for Mon/Tues! Crossing my fingers that the Thurs/Fri trip isn't canceled too~ (mostly cuz that one is mine!) :D
oh.....and did i mention.....favorite boy left for school today~ I totally miss him~ I didn't cry, so that's a big step for me~ I thoroughly enjoyed the three weeks he was here! DeeDee says that he prolly did horrid things when I wasn't looking or paying attention, so I'm not going to go looking for confirmation of that and go on my merry way~ :D
