You may have seen Debbie on Oprah talking about this. It is interesting to go to the website...download the catalog (it's free) and look at this amazing collection. There may be costumes from a favorite movie or just something you will enjoy seeing and hearing the story behind. Like the gown made for Streisand when she starred in Hello Dolly! Did you know it is the most expensive gown ever made for a movie? Or Charlie Chaplin's hat or some of the headdresses from Cleopatra...that Liz Taylor wore. There are hundreds of interesting items. Download the catalog...you may see something you can't live without.......like the halter dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in the Seven Year Itch......

That's cool Miguelito~ thank u SO much for sending this in! I'll have to download the catalog and check it out!
good morning Tina! :)
Michael, this sounds so interesting..Charlie Chaplin's HAT! Wow,that would be the coolest thing ever!!
Yes! And the dress they burned Joan of Arc at the stake in!!
Debbie has Dorothy Gales dress from Wizard of Oz..and a pair of sapatas....Dianne is from Oz you know....
she also has Julie Andrews jumper thing that she wore in Sound of Music...you know...when the Hills were Alive...
Good Morning....
Good Morning Tina, Bebbi and Michael. And a lovely Good Day to you as well. I must look at the video. I just adore Debbie Reynolds.
The ash from the dress, you mean, Michael? lol
Good morning Tink and Michael! I hope it's a wonderful Tuesday where you are.
Hi Bebbi - We are hoping for a sunny day today. Mainly we are praying for a sunny Saturday. My little granddaughter will be 4 years old on the 9th and she is having her party on Saturday. There will be about 5 rambunctious boys, 3 sweet little girls, parents and grandparents. My son is so hoping the party can be outside. The party for my one year old grandson last week was inside and the boys were so active most of us left with a headache. Hope you have lovely weather today too.
Michael - Thanks for sending us that link. I will look at it this afternoon. I have always loved Debbie, right from her first movie "Singing in the Rain" to her last ones like "Mother". To think that Gene Kelley didn't want her for his movie because he didn't think she could dance now seems ridiculous. I loved her in "Tammy and the Bachelor".
Michael - Are you still hurting from not being recognized as being first yesterday? Well check back to May 13th. I was lst, 10th, and 25th, and the only two who commented on the fact that I was first were Maureen and Just-Lin. I guess we have to expect these things in such a busy world.
I must get ready for my cleaning lady. See you all later.
Tink! I hope that you have sunshine all week. It sure was nice to have it here over the weekend. We've had a lot of rain. The birthday parties sound so fun. I, especially, hope it's nice for the 4 year old party..saves everyone a lot of headaches when kids can play and party in the outdoors! :)
Michael, congrats on first, you know I think you are beautiful always...<3
Thanks Debbie- With all the bad and sad things in the world to pray for it is probably wrong to pray for sun but I think my son is doing just that.
Michael - I shouldn't even mention this but ever since I was teenager right up to my elder years people have told me I look like Debbie Reynolds. We are close in age. I don't see it but I think it is a nice compliment. I so wanted to see her museum and act the last time I was in Vegas but the person I was with didn't so I missed it. I think the museum shortly after that. Debbie didn't have an easy life and I feel sad about that. She was always so happy in her movies..
Morning Glories
MiMi I wish I had the cash to buy just one item from this auction. That would be so fantastic!
Congrats on first Tina.
I have to get off line and pay bills and go get grub. Hope you all have a great day!
Tinka...
hi. I was just kidding about no one except Zona acknowledging that I was first...we didn't have many commenter's yestiddy anyway...
I can see the Debbie Reynolds resemblance. And Debbie has has a hard time...especially financially...there was that awful husband that not only broke her but left her in debt as well....but she worked her tail off and bounced back....
I think she is great as is her daughter Carrie. I hope she gets whatever she wants or needs from this auction....
thank you Bebbi....lol....I just tossed that in about Joans outfit to see if anyone was paying attention...and you were!!! lol
Lynn D!!..
Which item! What would you buy!!
Tina Good moaning to you. It barely still morning here but I moan just as well in the afternoon and evening. You are so very pretty today, I must say.
Hi J/L: Good day to you! :) I always admire how you put everyone's names in bold. That is an extra effort and admirable! :) How is your Mom?? I hope doing okay.
Michael I have seen Debbie talking about this auction. What a magnificent collection she's accumulated! I would love to have one of the headresses from Cleopatra. I saw that movie in one of the grand theaters in Hollywood. It was either the Pantages or Grauman's Chinese Theater. I can't remember which. Wouldn't it be fun to wear one of those headresses to a Halloween party. What an entrance that would make! It's probably too heavy to keep on for long, however.
Oh, Michael, I love your avatar. That was one of the funniest skits evah!
Hi, Bebbi. Mom has a doctor appointment this afternoon. My brother is going with her. It's not going to be a good day. Thanks for asking.
LynnD I have to get my bill payments in the mail today. I'm still one of those old-fashioned people that does not do banking online.
Tinka I hope you aren't cleaning for your cleaning lady. LOL Here's hoping you have a great birthday party regardless of if it's indoors or out. Boys....Amazing how much more commotion they cause, isn't it?
Michael - I knew you were kidding. So was I.
I think it's so sad when you read the life story of some of these actresses whom we admire and find out they have had difficult lives. There has been quite a number of them. One that comes to mind is Doris Day. I loved her too. I have all her movies on video. Now I will have to get them on
DVD.
Zona - I love our morning talks. They just make my day. Arizona seems so close to B.C. It's like having a morning cup of tea with you.
Just_ Lin - I know it sounds funny to be getting ready for the cleaning lady but there are always things I need to do. I am always glad when she has finished and has left the building. I also feel a little bad about the fact that she works so hard and when she leaves for another job I have a nap.
Speaking of naps, that's where I am heading right now. Be back this afternoon. Have a great day all Owls everywhere.

Just in case you are wondering...
Catherine’s full title and style is... Her Royal Highness Princess William Arthur Philip Louis, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus....
and she will be addressed as Princess Catherine...
don't muck it up!
"I hear the cottonwoods..whispering above.."
Actually, I don't know if I've ever seen a cottonwood tree..but that's the first line of my fave Debbie Reynolds song. Not a huge DR fan..but I've always liked her musicals.
I think it would be interesting to read about the collection she is auctioning..I think I'll check into that website..thank you MICHAEL!
TINA: Hello Gorgeous! Hey..could you send me that catalog..you know how challenged I am at downloading anything! Thanks! :D
BEBBI: Hi Sunshine! I was wondering about Joan of Arc's dress too..lol..
LYNN: Ugh..paying bills..hope you got it done with minimal stress! What kinda grub did you get for dinner? :D
J/LIN: I'm old fashioned too..don't pay anything online..actually I just can't figure out how to..lol..
TINKA: I love our talks too..only I'm drinking Diet Coke while you have tea..I know..I'm supposed to cut back on that. I think I need BEBBI's gentle reminders about drinking water.. :)
DI: Got in the pool today..got right back out of the pool today..it was COLD! I froze my butt off..oh how I wish.. ;D
BARB: I hope PT went well and that your neck is feeling better!
MO: I miss you! :)
I think Nikki is hungry..she's chewing on my ankle.. ;) Have a good night everyone!
Mimi it is a toss up the halter dress from Seven year itch or the black and white number from My Fair Lady! Love those two dresses.
Waving at everyone!
J/L thinking about you and your Mom today. (((Hugs)))
JUST LIN...thoughts and prayers to you and your mom. {{hugs}}
ZONA...me too you
I am too tired to comment to all, but I hope you are all healthy and happy.
Before I go,
I once stayed at the Debbie Reynolds Hotel and Hollywood Museum in Vegas. Her museum wasn't open yet, but the hotel was a DUMP. It went bankrupt and eventually the building was imploded.
lol at Maureen....
well to tell you the truth most of the stuff in the auction is pretty ratty too...lmao!!!!
Marilyn Monroes white halter dress is yellow and the shoes from the WoOz are split wide open...
I can't type for laughing at Maureens comment...a dump that went bankrupt and was imploded....DAMN thats funny....
I think some of her collection must have been in the bldg when it was blown up from the looks of it...
Well I know she had that moth problem...
I have tears running down my face from laughing...omg.....lets face it...Debbie is a sweet girl but she would sell her Mother to make a profit...
She will RIP YOU OFF!! Even her photos of Charlie Chaplin don't have all their teeth...
That did it..I am ROFL....
Hi Everyone.....Yes MICHAEL, I do have a little bit of Oz in me (at least in this room I am sitting in). Let me click my heels together and see what happens...dang it....nothing.
I like Debbie but you are right MICHAEL, she will sell things to get the profit. I wonder if she really needs the $$ or just wants more? Oh well, I love how she sings and her movies too. Thanks for the info on the auction.
ZONA: HMMMM, so the water was a tad cold, was it? Be brave...You are from Arizona and can love cold as you always think it is too hot there...remember?
MO: Did you get some rest even though you went to work? Get some more tonight. Are you home or at Elaines?
Beautiful morning to you TINA. I think it is night time here but you are adorable anyway.
Today I went to (guess) the dentist to get my final crown on. The temp came off on the cruise. I have no future appts (knock on wood).
J/L: How did your mom's doctor appt go today? I hope there is a plan now.
BEBBI: I am just picturing you wearing Charlie's hat to the BABB in September. I can't wait to see pictures :)
LYNN; Your most favorite thing to do.....grocery shop. I know we all love doing that. Did you buy anything yummy besides regular old food?
TINK: When I talk to ZONA at night, I feel like we are having wine together so that girl is a busy girl drinking all day with us!!!!
We went to dinner tonight with my daughter and girls. It was nice as we hadn't seen them for a long time with being on vacation. I always miss my grandkids so much when we are gone for any length of time.
There was duct tape holding the paneling together in the elevator and the whole place smelled like geritol. One of the workers asked us why we were staying there...we were much too young! It was def a geriatric hotel!!
DIANNE...I am at Elaine's. I am spending the nights here. Helping her...amongs other things that may someday become a blog.
Better get the jammies on and head to bed.
Hopefully I will stop in tomorrow.
Sleep well my feathered friends.
Found out today that besides cancer in her lungs, there is cancer in my mother's liver and adrenal glands. She will just get palliative care, i.e., supportive care to keep her as comfortable as possible. This really sucks the big one.
SLIN - I'm so sorry.....luv u, mean it ♥ ♥ ♥
J/L: I am so sorry. :( Hugs and prayers and thoughts and love sent your way.
