Good Morning Shirley!

I so don't know if I could carry a bag like that, but it is creative.

Bebbi, dear , you were up early on Facebook, I hope you got a good nights rest.

Shirley you are just stunning in first.

1980: Ronald Reagan runs for president, promising a balanced budget

1981 - 1989: With support from congressional Republicans, Reagan runs enormous deficits, adds $2 trillion to the debt.

1993: Bill Clinton passes economic plan that lowers deficit, gets zero votes from congressional Republicans.

1998: U.S. deficit disappears for the first time in three decades. Debt clock is unplugged.

2000: George W. Bush runs for president, promising to maintain a balanced budget.

2001: CBO shows the United States is on track to pay off the entirety of its national debt within a decade.

2001 - 2009: With support from congressional Republicans, Bush runs enormous deficits, adds nearly $5 trillion to the debt.

2002: Dick Cheney declares, “Deficits don’t matter.” Congressional Republicans agree, approving tax cuts, two wars, and Medicare expansion without even trying to pay for them.

2009: Barack Obama inherits $1.3 trillion deficit from Bush; Republicans immediately condemn Obama’s fiscal irresponsibility.

2009: Congressional Democrats unveil several domestic policy initiatives — including health care reform, cap and trade, DREAM Act — which would lower the deficit. GOP opposes all of them, while continuing to push for deficit reduction.

September 2010: In Obama’s first fiscal year, the deficit shrinks by $122 billion. Republicans again condemn Obama’s fiscal irresponsibility.

October 2010: S&P endorses the nation’s AAA rating with a stable outlook, saying the United States looks to be in solid fiscal shape for the foreseeable future.

November 2010: Republicans win a U.S. House majority, citing the need for fiscal responsibility.
December 2010: Congressional Republicans demand extension of Bush tax cuts, relying entirely on deficit financing. GOP continues to accuse Obama of fiscal irresponsibility.

March 2011: Congressional Republicans declare intention to hold full faith and credit of the United States hostage — a move without precedent in American history — until massive debt-reduction plan is approved.

July 2011: Obama offers Republicans a $4 trillion debt-reduction deal. GOP refuses, pushes debt-ceiling standoff until the last possible day, rattling international markets.

August 2011: S&P downgrades U.S. debt, citing GOP refusal to consider new revenues. Republicans rejoice and blame Obama for fiscal irresponsibility.

Any questions?

Oh and in case your missed it:

Sarah Palin’s son Track and his new wife Britta became the proud parents of a baby girl, Kyla Grace Palin, last night.

Track and Britta were married in May and the Baby was born in August. Hmmmm You do the math.

MeeMee love your avatar! :)

Shirley(NCC-1701) said...

I have no questions Lynn D. As usual you seem to have everything covered.

Tina~in_ut said...

LynnD~ i like how they didn't abort the baby~ :D

Anonymous said...

For Gods sake! Palins don't abort babies!! They just lie...cheat and steal!

Sarahs raised a fine bunch of trash...and do you know she is STILL telling that fucking lie about the death panels....that bitch needs to be aborted.

Lynn D...

excellent post....I am waiting for a collation of the repugs childishly dangerous antics and the stock market....

I still say everyone of those republican asshole bastards should be operating under the threat of treason...

Shirley...

we have a 5 minute rule of either side of the clock....so I was 3 minutes past morning here which puts me under the 5 minute rule....therefore and hencetoforthwith I was correct when spelling good morning backwards. Had I spelled it normally I would have been exactly on time so we can blame the loss of that small portion of space and time on the creativity in me that at times overflows which I think was the case earlier...

i smell idiot~

I told you to use soap and a wash cloth!

Bebbi, Very Interesting how they designed those bags. Like Zona, I don't get the one with the rope around the old man. The 6-pack bag might get more husbands to go shopping.

sacBarb said...

Shirley, Are you OK? That 'splat!' sounded painful.

sacBarb said...

Lynn, 'nuff said!!!!

sacBarb said...

Zona, Have you been using that sunscreen? Don't MAKE me come down there!

sacBarb said...

Carol, I hope you're having a good Birthday.

sacBarb said...

Waving a wing to all the Owls. I hope you are all having a good day. Gotta go finish the laundry. BBL

Shirley(NCC-1701) said...

Yes SacBarb I am find, that is just the sound my fat ass make when I sit on my branch, miss and then fall to the ground.

Shirley(NCC-1701) said...

Michael I respectfully think you are full of shit. There is no 5 minute rule.

Lynn D said...

Yes I am happy they had the baby. However Since Mom and Aunt Brisket keep telling and preaching abstinence it seems to smell a bit like bullshit.

Oh wait maybe Palin means that my family and yours should abstain but her family is so special that they don't have to.

Lynn D said...

MeeMee it is treasonous in my book too!

Just_Lin said...

Shirley Congrats on being first and prettiest, even if you are a little banged up from that fall.

Just_Lin said...

Bebbi Well, I don't think the one with the pic of a gun would be a good idea, especially in certain neighborhoods. And who wouldn't want to date a girl with her own whip? I don't want to carry around a dead goose by his neck either. I think I liked the jump rope ones the best. They are all clever and imaginative, though. Thanks for the blog.

Just_Lin said...

LynnD I liked the history lesson. Today things went from worse to worst. :(

Just_Lin said...

iteach Are you and the kids ready for school?

Just_Lin said...

HOdi Did you, Lois, and Jennifer leave any Spotted Cows unopened?

Just_Lin said...

Michael LOL @ Rick Perry. Oh, and there's already been a correlation made.

Just_Lin said...

Zona I'm sorry I missed your gracious good morning. Can I have a gracious good afternoon?

Just_Lin said...

SacBarb You have reminded me that I need to start some laundry. I keep meaning to ask if you are happy with your eyeliner?

Just_Lin said...

Tina LOL @ I smell an idiot!

Just_Lin said...

LynnD2 That boy sure waited a long time to marry the girl. I have a feeling it was a shotgun wedding, with Sarah holding the shotgun. It wouldn't be good for the public image to have a son who goes around knocking up girls.

Just_Lin said...

Carol HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
From the sound of it, I'm afraid Shirley may have landed on your birthday cake.

Just_Lin said...

Shirley Do you have frosting on your ass?

J/L, I am happy with my eyeliner. We have an appointment on Thursday to go back for a touch-up. He automatically makes a return appointment for 30 days after the initial one because he said almost everyone needs a touch-up and I think I do need a little more near the outer corners of both eyes.

iteach said...

J/L son #1 does not want school to start but the rest do. I think I'm ready too.

Sarah's kids are sinners just like all of us. :)

At this point I don't blame republicans or democrats. I think everyone just needs to step up to bat and do the following: stay out of prison, try to work, keep your spending within reason, and be there for your children.

Be responsible for being the best citizen you can!
