This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
The 2012 Summer Olympics begin on July 27th in London..that's less than 100 days away. The Opening & Closing Ceremonies..Swimming..Diving and Gymnastics are my favorite events. Will you be watching? I know I will.
Happy Birthday, Tink. Hope your day is a great one. How was your party yesterday?
Zona, we will watch the Olympics. I like the summer ones best thanks for the blog.
Good morning Tina and Michael. How r u both doing today? How are the kids feeling, Tina? Is the girl going to the prom with the puzzle boy? Boy, these kids r getting older too darn fast.
Louis is still doing bad---actually worse. It's been a long hard weekend for him. I called this am and we r going to dr at 2:30 today. Hopefully, they can give him some relief
Dianne I am so sorry that Louis is still in so much pain. This is totally not acceptable. Something needs to be done. Do not be afraid to be a beotch at the doctor office in order to get some action.
J/L....of course the calves are plentiful and always a pleasure to see....but with diving and swimming its pretty much a feast for the eyes head to toe....
But what really gets me is the work that I know that goes into what they do to be powerful competitors.
I have a friend whose son I watched from an early age until he was in his mid 20's who won swimming titles around the world....and if you wanted to talk to Josh...you had to get wet!! lol
I have watched and listened to many doctors with my friends Anna and Doug. Doug has a lot of leg pain. All the relief he has gotten so far is always just temporary...
I have begged him to talk to his doctors about seeing a pain management specialist. He hasn't given in to my request thus far and the best PM doc that I know of is in Memphis.
And you know how stubborn people can be sometimes....Doug acts like going to Memphis would be the equivalent of flying to the moon...
I wasted over a year with an ear nose and throat doc locally when my Meniere's disease started...I finally had to throw a fit and it worked.
He sent me to the "BEST" At UT Southwestern in Dallas who treated me with diuretics and a low sodium diet...I was back to normal in 3 months.
The difference in doctors can be amazing if you can find the right one...
I had read about Dr. Meyerhoff in Texas Monthly in an article about SUPER-DOCTORS....I showed the article to my local doc when I threw my fit saying "I WANT SOMEBODY LIKE HIM!!!"
and by God....thats exactly who I got....thank goodness...
so like J/L said...don't be afraid to question your doctor...and don't be afraid to get tough!
Blogger has not been letting me post..they want my phone number..again..and when I say 'no' they say an internal error won't let them publish my comment..sore losers.. ;D
Thanks for the comments today! I'm pretty psyched about the Olympics..we always watched them as a family when I was a kid..and it's just something I look forward to. Especially the swimming..that's the one sport I can do too.. :D
Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes. It has been a fun two days. Presents, food, fun and family, that's my idea of of a good time.
Michael - Yes I knew Shirley Temple and I shared a birthday. I always, however, identified more with Sandra Dee. Remember the song from "Grease", "Look at me I'm Sandra Dee". I loved her movies. She had such a sad ending.
Dianne - I am praying for Louis to get relief from pain. Pain can totally wear one out.
The party yesterday was great. The sun shone beautifully on the deck. It is our first party of the year out there. Hopefully there will be many more. I could see the sadness in the eyes of my oldest grandson and granddaughter. I think they were happy when it was time to get back to their dog. She was being babysat by the other grandmother. Scoutie can't walk well but she isn't in pain and loves to be cuddled. I know the end is near and the kids to too. The littlest grandchildren had the most fun playing with all the toys I have in this house.
Zona - My BFF. How I am enjoying the DVD's you sent me. I started with "Touched by an Angel", (one of my all time favourites) and I watch one episode before my nap and one last thing at night. I think they make me sleep better. I know I don't have night mares after watching them.
I must get back to being pampered. See you all tomorrow. Good Night and God Bless.

They are so disciplined...
Dianne...
Have they pin-pointed the cause of Louis' pain?

Thanks Tina for the birthday song. That was the first thing I looked for this morning.

Maureen - Yes today I was pampered and loved it. There were just the two of us so it was a very quiet lovely day.
Just_Lin - That's neat that your grandson and I share a birthday. I wonder if we both have characteristics of Taurus the bull?
