can you believe i am staring at
a blank page, and wondering what
i am going to type next, i did not
have a blog planned for today,
my day yesterday was very stressful, and i
was only thinking about the day
ending, as i wanted that so bad
my stress had to do with work, it
was one problem after the next
as soon as i finished one, the next
occurred, i handled it pretty well tho
i only broke down once, not bad
for a "crazy woman" who just happens
to be pmsing (tmi)
i am telling you, there is nothing like
getting a call from a client who is at
the airport and got bumped off their
flight, i know from experience, once
bumped, there is a very slight chance
of getting them on that flight, AA changed
equipment at the last minute (smaller aircraft)
which meant 80 people were not getting
on the flight and three of the 80 were
mine!
so that was my day, this problem took
about 5hrs to solve, clients did not get
on the plane, just as i suspected
they are leaving tomorrow instead
hopefully?
it amazes me how one incident can
just set a course for your day!
and my course yesterday was like
a train wreck, crash, after crash, after crash!
***********
ps..it seems i filled up the blank page
i guess nothing can stop me from writing :O)

Hope you have a great day and all the Hooters too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess I am all alon in the nest.
alone- my keyboard didn't listen to my brain
soooooooo, here I sit, playing with myself again.
not sure if I should march myself to 10 or not. I could break the record and go for 13 or so....
Hi Goldie!
ok, guess I will just put my 'tedious' little self to work like I am supposed to be doing anyway!
EBJ! Good morning to you!!!
10
Carol dontcha hate days like that?
Happy Birthday Jax!! Hope you have an awesome day!
Goldie, go to sleep!
My sassy parrot is yelling at me to SHUT UP and I'm not even talking! hahaha
Hey EbJ !
good morning Want! Hell I don't sleep good during the night, how do you expect me to sleep in the day??
Good morning Want2, how are you this fine day?
EBJ- you have to do a video of that bird and post it-
ok, I really do have to get busy working. I only work until noon on Fridays anyway.
Talk to you all later and hello to all the hooters who come in after me!! I'll be back in awhile
You know, it occured to me that I can not get busy working yet
because I would miss the first (2nd) march of the day
so, I am going for it-----

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Morning Glories!!!
Oooooh Goldie flew in first!!
Carol: Some days just seem to turn into problem solving train wrecks. I always wonder why it alway comes in bunches??
I guess it is the theory kick em when they're down from the universe. LOL
Sometimes I think a higher power says you have not been tested enough lately, lets see what happens when....
From Area 51:
Whabby I am so happy that Calif got it together! Wahoo it looks like you are going to have a feathered theme when you do finally propose!! Owls and rhinestones I am thinking with some thongs thrown in! LMAO I guess that means it may have to be a fowl Vegas theme! ROFLMAO
Kgirl: Amicus already suggested what I was thinking. Call the vet and ask for some doggie Prozac or Zoloft something for that poor baby.
I have to say all of you birders would have a field day at my house right now!! I don't know the names of all of the birds but we seem to have a bunch of them right now!
I even have one that sounds just like my damn phone when it sings. Has me racing to the house every time!
Happy Birthday Miss Jax!!!
I have a web site for him on Youtube, here is the link
http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=auntyjudy
Most of his best stuff is yet to be filmed, but there are some good clips of him.
Hi Lynn D!!
I'm feeling very, very old watching the New Kids on the Block on the Today Show.
Geez Goldie! LOL
I was posting it was at 3 posts.
I finally hit send and it said 27 LMAO
Hi EBJ and Want!!!
Hey LynnD !
Good Morning Owls!
Happy Birthday Jax!!!
Carol: Hope today is a much better day than Wednesday was!
HI Goldie, Lynn, EBJ, Want2Sleep!
Grey's Anatomy: Was anyone shocked by that "shocking kiss" last night? LOL! That was a bit predictable. :)
Off to work!
sorry about being a 'blog hog' today- well, actually I am not, it was fun!
Thanks ebj, I will go check it out.
I think we should bedazzle the pole for whab as a wedding gift- how about it crafters??????
Amicus: If that was the best they could come up with I am very disappointed. I think my theory was more shocking!!!
PS: I love Merediths therapist!!
Goldie You are never tedious!!! I will be saving rhinestones and glitter for Whabbys pole. Hmmmm some how that does not sound quite right. LMAO
LYNN! I said THE pole, not Whab's pole!! Although, you never know-Huz might like that too!!
Almost 40 comments.
Good Morning Goldie (1 - 10), EBJ, Want, Lynn and Amicus.
Gee it wasn't as full as I first thought, just a small number of owls with lots to say. They must have all had a good night sleep to be so frisky.
Carol - Your blog reminded me of the John Denver song "Some Days are Diamonds and Some Days are Stone." That happens to me a lot. One thing after another and you can't wait until it's time to go to bed and try again the next day.
I am tired from my computer meeting last night so I am not as frisky as the others. I will see you all later in the afternoon.
Happy Birthday Jax - Have a good one.
VIG - So glad you are home. I am looking forward to your phone call.
ZonaBaby - I am off to read your messages from last night.
Whabbear - I am waiting for a message from you or are you still 'walking on the ceiling' this morning.
Have a good day everyone!
Hello my fine feathered friends!
After ten very intense days of travelling for work, I am home...and it is a Canadian long weekend and the temperature is rising...oh,it is sooo good to be home!
I didn't go on the blog while I was away because of working really long hours, limited computer time and exhaustion....but I took you all with me and checked in everyday to see how everybody was doing. It was like having a little piece of home along with me. Thanks Zona and Tinka for daily mentions and keeping me in the thick of things when I couldn't get to the nest. And thanks for the shoutouts from many other Owls...much, much appreciated!
Carol...you are a true writer who can make a blank screen or piece of paper come alive. I always love reading what you write! I hope today is a day full of yellow...and that day filled with grey and black is way behind you!
Goldie....congrats and a woohoo on first, second, third, fourth,fifth,eighth.....
EBJ...I love that parrot of yours. I must go back on Youtube and have another look...makes me happy every time!
Lynn_D...good PNW morning. Sounds like it is going to be a sunny and hot weekend. Enjoy the birds and the sunshine!
Tinka...hello, neighbour! Looking forward to chatting on the phone with you this morning!
Amicus...many, many, many belated birthday wishes to you! Hope you had a wonderfully special birthday!
Zona..fabulous talking to you last night! Here's an idea...cartwheeling on bubble wrap?!
Happy Friday, Owls!
carol.....I like it when you just talk about your day. It's like we are in the same room, sitting around the dinner table saying" So...How was your day?"
It's all good.
I better get busy making muffins for tomorrow mornings breakfast. I will be gone until Sunday late afternoon.
Everyone have a great weekend!
hugs!
~barb~
Sweet morning march there goldie!!
lynn d....i bet your "phone" bird is a spotted towhee! look for a black and orange bird about 6 inches long scratching around on the ground.
what what ????
we are decorating whabs pole??? how do i get in on this????
Good Morning Hooters!
Another busy day ahead after staying up WAY too late last night. Popping in only to say:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX!!
Any West Coast Josh Groban fans? He's on GMA outdoors in the cold and rain. (What a concept while we have record heat!)
And, JOEY, Jamie and Bobbie Deen are on, too!
wow - it's almost time for the 50 march and I need to go read the blog and catch up on last night's comments!!! and today's comments!!
i see Goldie was first
CONGRATS on first..
Happy Birthday, JAX - I hope all your wishes and dreams come true..
okay - I'll miss the march - gotta read!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!
brb
heck, I'll stay and march
47
48
49
50
Okay - - now I will read everything...
That felt good!!
Amicus~~I did get home in time to catch Grey's last night and phone-chat with Turtle about it. She may (or not) have a comment or two later! And I decided now that I'm 100 years old, I'll let the 40-somethings drool over the McDocs. I'm going for the Chief!
Tink: Here I am! I'm typing this from the airport at Houston... my flight leaves in about an hour.
East Bay: I love your parrot too! Can't wait to meet face-to-beak.
Owl of the day award goes to Goldie (so far).
Sleep: Where have you been this week? We had a great party in chat last night to celebrate California... Trey was throwing confetti all over himself all night long.
And since I was in a hotel room, I was, of course, naked. I know how you always like that.
No pole shots, though. I'd have to ban myself.
Lynn D: I so wish conservatives and the religious right would just leave us alone! Now we have to fight the ballot initiative to put a ban on gay marriage into the state constitution. Will irrational intolerance ever end?
Goldie: I think Huz WOULD like that! He loves to look at poles on the internet.
VIG: Welcome back!
Barb: Join forces with chriann from the Rossblog, and we'll have muffins for days! Join forces with Nesser, and we'll have muffin college!!
Carol: So sorry to hear about your day yesterday. I've never been bumped involuntarily, and I know I'd be furious. This trip for me this week was unexpected and unwelcome (a product of the ongoing force-fight between Johnson Space Center and Ames Research Center over control of human testing for Orion spacecraft development), and all I want to do is get home.
Good morning, Bon'O and MEK!
Oh boy I see the nest if filling up!!
Whabbear: Small people with small minds only see small things. I am always mystified as to how they think that this affects them. Drives me crazy. Why can't people be happy that there are so many that want to be married??? They just want the same rights that the rest of us have.
Oh boy don't get me started, I might end up ranting!
Waving at everyone!! Off to check my MS and then I have errands to run!
Viggy: So glad you are back in your home nest! Always worried when you are out traveling! Yes it is supposed to get to 90 here today! Yowzers!
Barb: Thanks for the bird name I will look for him. There is another one that makes a sound that sounds like it is saying Sweetie Peetie to me. It has a white chest and is in my yard all the time. Sorry but he drives me crazy because he will go on for hours! LMAO
PS We saw two goldfinches yesterday.
Happy B-day Jax!
EBJ....I have been watching Poe videos! What a beautiful, smart, and hilarious bird! And ummm...I sure can tell what his favorite word is!
lynn....LOL! Dang bird! I would need more info to tell you what the bird is. At first I thought chickadee because they make a sound kinda like that. I will see if I can find something.
ok....muffins are done! lemon blueberry and choco chip! mmmmmmmm....
Congrats on 50 MEK!
I like being Owl of the day (so far) Whab. I promise to be gentle holding your pole while the others bedazzle it ;)
Let us know when we can plan the bridal shower!!
Lynn, intolerance and stupidity often go hand in hand if you ask me. Don't get me started either, I will rant too like you have never heard before. It is not just my gay friends that are affected by the hate and close mindedness. I have a son who is gay and damnit that boy (man) deserves all the same rights as his hetrosexual brother!
His father and I will stand proud by his side the day he finds someone to love forever and marry; and fuck the holy rollers and bigots.
Ok, actually that felt good and I think that I just did rant.
Vig- welcome back.
Leaving soon for the weekend. See you all on Sunday! Be good.
60
Goldie - I enjoyed you "playing with yourself" this morning - congrats on First, TEN, and Twenty-five!!
EBJ - I can't wait to meet Poe!!
Want2 - I switched to GMA when the Boys came on the Today Show - AND got to see Josh Groban - so that was WAY better!!
Lynn D - Good morning!!
Amicus - Howdy!!
Tinka - Good Morning
VIG - glad you are home safely - good to see you in the nest!!
Barb in WA - yummy - muffins for everyone!! they smell AMAZING!!
Bono - Good Morning - hope you had an AMAZING birthday!!
Whabby - Safe travels, today, my friend!!
Goldie - rant away!! and you could NEVER be a blog hog!!
While everyone else was watching ABC last night - I was watching the finales on CBS -
I better go try to get something accomplished today!!
:-)
talk at ya'll later!!!
Good Morning Owls!!
Carol, how well I remember those days at the travel agency! My favorite was when the flights were cancelled due to snow, all the hotels were completely booked and I had someone yelling at me to find him a room.
"You want me to come there and start laying bricks and build you one because that is your only chance!" (Only a thought, never said out loud!)
The only thing I miss from those days were the $30 Delta flights w/ free upgrades to first class... and the FAM rate at Marriot properties!! Those were the days!
We are looking at some record heat today, so I went and bought makings for Smores tonight. The kids were invited to swim in a friend's lake and I think after school I will take them to get a Slurpee. Stay cool everyone and have a GREAT weekend!!
Barb~ Yummmmm, those muffins sound delish! No way am I going to warm up the oven today though. Maybe next week when it is raining and cold again. Remind me then, OK?
Cpgem - great blog - sorry you had such a frustrating day yesterday.. I hate when that happens...
just last night - Mr. MEK and I were talking about our travel day from hell last summer - we said we spent a week one day in the Dallas airport!!
:-)
I hope your day goes WAY better today!!
Howdy Glynis - LOL - I thought you were going to say you were going to roast marshmellows on the sidewalk!! :-)
Hope the kids have fun and the slushy's don't melt!!
okay - this is for turtle!!!
67
68
69
70 - just because!!
okay - I'm outta here for awhile
Lynn_D..hello, west coast neighbour! Thanks for your nice words! Enjoy the heat today!!!!
Whabbear...wishing you safe travels. Very happy for you around the ruling made yesterday in California!!! Should have happened eons ago, but glad progress is happening now!
Goldie...have a great weekend! Where are you going to?
Bono....hope you had a fabulous birthday yesterday!!! Thanks for the Randy update..what a special person he is!!!
MEK....waving a wing! Hope you get everything done that you want to and you have a great Friday!
EBJ: I just had a fun lunch break thanks to Poe. Those videos are so funny!!! I especially loved the one of him barking like a dog. :) He is beautiful and what a great life he has!
Lynn: LOL! Yes, your idea was much better! You should write for the show. :)
BonO: My only issue with it was all the hype about a "shocking kiss", which wasn't shocking at all. They made that predictable 3 or 4 weeks ago. :)
VIG: Welcome back!!! I hope you have a well deserved relaxing weekend. Thank you for the birthday wishes!
I have to get back to work so waving HI to everyone!

Today is Jax's birthday. In honor of her birthday I have signed her up to be on the next season of Flavor Of Love. I have given Jax this gift on Birdie's behalf also. Bawahahaha!
Wabbear
I heard about last night in chat. WHIC SIC
Word is slowing trickling out. :0)
Whabbear - Thanks for giving me an update as to where you are today. Will talk to you later.
VIG - That was a great phone call. It's a good thing it's not long distance. That hour went fast. So glad you are home. Now I am going to do the same as you and get outside and enjoy the sunshine.
Good afternoon Owls. I have retrieved my car, with a new hybrid battery, from the dealer. They said some of the batteries were leaking so they recalled all of them, but mine wasn't leaking. They changed it anyway. It's really disappointing to get a new car and before a year is up to have it recalled for something. I hope that's the only time.
Carol: Sorry you had such a bad day yesterday. Some days you are the bug and other days you are the windshield. I hope today goes much better for you.
Goldie: Congrats on #1. Never apologize for a rant. Rants and tediousness (if that's a word) are allowed here without judgement. I agree with your 'rant' anyway.
Jax: HB2U - Hope you celebrate big today.
LynnD: LOL @ fowl Vegas Theme
Amicus: Right - not so shocking. Now the question is, was it for McSteamy's benefit only or for real!
VIG: WB - you were missed.
Tinka: You must be an expert on the computer after all that training.
Barb/WA: Lemon blueberry muffins...mmmmmmmm good
Bon'O: Damn I missed Josh on GMA
MEK: How was the new bed???
Bear: Keep us posted on the date of your big day. We will all be there with bells on.
Glynis: We are looking for record heat today too - 102. It was 89 by 10am.
80 - just because!!
SacBarb - glad you got your car back...
80
LOL...MEK... 80 something because you are probably out there writing 82!
The boys just had a bagel with Nutella and sliced banana for lunch... they are in heaven!
Time to go p/u my daughter. Early release Friday is a good thing today. The kids need to be outside playing on this gorgeous day!
Hey y'all! Congrats on first Goldie!:)
OMG Glynis that sounds yummy!!!
Thanks for letting me know BONO! I'll try to find it online! I love me some Bobby Deen! hehe
Happy Birthday Jax!!!
It's very windy here today, but pretty! I hope you all have a great weekend!
Carol, sorry you had a stressful day yesterday! You can be writing to us about the phonebook and make it interesting! lol
PLEASE forgive me y'all for slowly getting to the comments about the Mother's Day blog!! I will get to them this weekend....I never knew a little long weekend trip could get you so behind!!!!!!!
are we marching?
86
Hi Joey
marching marching
where did everyone go?
MEK are you hiding in the bushes?
whose waiting to pounce?
I'm sure someone is lurking out there
Update! Birdie is already trying to get into Jax's cake.Carol,Mo, someone hold her back! There may not be a can left by late afternoon. Jax is very excited to be going to season 4 of Flav and get that gold blinged smile.Even if it doesn't work out then with the price of gold she can melt it down and still come out well off!
Bawahahaha!!!!!!
The FOAD monster is active today
95
hey Dreama
This is for Jax
march
for Jax...100!
100
100 for Jax!
yesssssss. OK for Jax. Happy Birthday
Darn it Sacbarb!
Ok, I've gotta get back to work before boss man kills me! LOL
Hi Dreama
SacBarb
waving up at you. Good race!
Wabbear
Did you get my message with my ideas of Vera Wang attire for the wedding to huz?
I am leaving now and I am leaving my Avator in charge. Owls please leave him the way that I brought him in. :0)
Goldie:
Congrats on First!
Jax:
Happy Birthday!
Mek:
How is your new bedroom, do you just love it!
Joey:
LOL...phone book...Perhaps that will be a blog someday!
Goldie:
Its fun playing with yourself, it seems I do it here all the time!
:O)
Sacbarb:
Bug and windshield, never heard of that saying, I think yesterday I was the bug, and got splattered all over the windshield...
110 just cause I am alone!
lol
Lynn D:
I feel the same, I always wondered why the train wreck days just can't be spread out, that would be so much easier...
Vig:
Hello and welcome home!
:O)
Good afternoon, Ladies and Gents.
Goldie Good job being #1 today. Loved watching you play with yourself. LMAO! I so agree with your position on gay marriage.
Whabbear Are you going to partay with your fancy bedazzled pole? Ouch! In the words of Billy Crystal, "It's better to look good than to feel good". LOL
SacBarb Good march to 100. I'm not liking this heat wave, what about you?
I have to leave now to go get a mammogram. I'll be thinking of Custard. Bwahahahaha!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX!
barbwa:
Do you really enjoy, my blogs about my day? I am always wondering if I am boring you all...
I always say, the words have to flow, I just can't write about something that is not on my mind. For instance if you gave me a topic I would probably freeze up.
But when it comes to something that is in my mind, boom its there!
Thanks for saying that Barbwa ♥♥
Hello just_lin :O)
Just checking in. I see everyone is busy today. This is our warmest day of this year so I don't feel like doing much but enjoying it.
Sacbarb - I go to these computer meetings feeling like I know quite a bit and I leave feeling like I know 10% of what all the techies know. There is so much to learn. I am scheduled for a 3 hour tutorial tomorrow but when I made the appointment I didn't realized is was our holiday weekend. I am trying to get it changed.
Whabbear - Are you still drinking champagne? You deserve it. I want to be in the wedding party too.
Just-Lin - Good for you for getting a mammogram. Did we ever get my ZonaBaby down there? We must start working on that again.
Not many days now. I am living vicariously through you.
VIG - How was the walk on Willows Beach? I bet it was lovely after all the cool weather we have had this past month.
119
120
121
122
123
124
125 I guess if you can't beat them you have to join them.
Just got up from a nap -
well - actually - Mr. MEK was NOT quiet when he got home from work!!
SacBarb and Glynis - I really was napping - so, no swooping in during the march!!
SacBarb - GREAT MARCH - congrats!!
Joey - howdy..
New furniture is wonderful - same mattress - so sleep is still the same!! BUT - the bed is much higher. Hilarious - our youngest kitty was having difficulty jumping up there last night - I was trying SO hard now to laugh out loud, since Mr. MEK was sleeping!! But - she managed to stay on!!
Cpgem - howdy !! and YES, we do always LOVE your blogs!!
Just Lin - good luck - I hate those things and really need to make an appt - but keep putting it off!!
FINALE ALERT!!
For Whabby, Zona, Tinka, Iteach, SacBarb and who ever else likes this show!!
GHOST WHISPER is new and it's the finale tonight!! Hopefully, last week's show will make more sense tonight!!
Tinka - great job at marching to 125!!! See - you can do it!!
I'm back but I am missing a chunk of hair and have battle wounds. SacBarb ran me over during that march to 100. whimper :p
Ok, well I'm not actually back. I'm leaving in 10 minutes for dinner and movie plans.
Lets all raise our glass to Robert Mondavi who died today at the age of 91. One of the great California wine makers.
cpgem - I can't believe you have never heard the bug/windshield saying - heck, there is even a country song about it!!
SacBarb - raising my glass!!
Oprah is having her FAVORTIE THINGS FOR SUMMER show!! The audience has gone mad!!!
Carol, I too love to read about your day. It gives me a personal insight into your life and I feel like I know you better. And it is never boring. Thanks so much for continuing to make this such a fun place to visit.
OMG I just finished reading the comments from the mother's day blog!! You guys are so sweet!!
Thank you ALL for the sweet comments about my Mama and the blog entry! It was kinda hard to write, but I am glad I did! I couldn't think of a better group of people to share the story with!!:)
Carol, I can remember some funny names from the phone book from childhood when prank calls were popular!:)lol
MEK, I wished I could get Oprah!! I miss watching it:(
Mek - I guess I march to a different drummer. I only seem to be able to do it when I am all alone. I guess I wouldn't make it in the army.
Joey - We loved your blog.
Tinka - I think we ALL march to our own drummer - you are doing just fine!!! (don't forget about Ghost Whisper)
cpgem - you are going to love this - MR. MEK went to the grocery store cuz he wanted BBQ ribs for dinner - SO - I asked him to get some ruffles and french dip - (cuz I've been craving them ever since we talked about them that other night) - well, four phone calls later and he still can't find the dip - LOL
Joey - I don't think you missed anything today not getting to see Oprah - it isn't anywhere near as AMAZING as her holiday fav things.
Quick fly-by, I've been so busy!!
I will fly by again before bed.
I will have more time to play tomorrow.
I miss all of you.
Iteach - we miss you too!!
140 just because!!
Oh, MEK, thank you! I miss you too.
Mek - I watched GW and it was great. I am so glad you owls got me watching it. I brought season one and Zona sent me season two and I have watched both seasons twice. I love it.
Iteach - I miss you too.
VIG - Isn't it great? It's almost 7 pm and it's actually hot outside. I don't think however, it's going to last for the parade on Victoria Day, Monday. They are calling for rain again. Tomorrow is supposed to be lovely so I postponed my computer tutorial until Tuesday. I don't want to waste a minute of that sunshine. Was it nice down by the water?
The mammogram went just fine although I did email Custard that it's alot more fun and pleasurable when he's the one doing the squeezing. LOL What I don't like to do is the PAP smear. Why does it always feel like they've inserted a couple of shoe horns? Plus, if you're going to have your legs spread like that, you should be having a hell of alot better time, IMHO.
Another warm day here today but not as bad as yesterday.
Carol I love your "slice of life" blogs. (((HUGS)))
OMG - don't miss Ghost Whisper..
I really hate when I figure out most of the plot before it happens -
Just Lin - glad everything went well.. thanks for checking in..
Mek:
I had pringles today, I do not love them as much as ruffles, however the girl that works for me brought them for me today, so I had to eat them!
I had no dip either!
Just_lin:
I think I would prefer custard as well!
Those mammos are so squishy and cold!
Not my idea of fore play ;O)
I am all packed and ready to take to road in the morning! My parents are already there, as my brother picked them up this afternoon and took them with him!
So I get a break :O)
I am traveling with my cousins tomorrow so will have lots of company in my car while I drive!
I can't wait to see my nephew, I am very excited for him.
I will def take pictures, prob not of me as I have "photofear" but def of the graduate and the rest of the family...
Just_Lin:
Thanks but I think you actually get a wedge more than a slice.
Glad you enjoy this life of mine!
:O)
J/L
Everytime I have a PAP, I count the ceiling tiles, it makes the process go so much faster. I counted 12 last time I went.
Thank you Tinka, I miss you too.
iteach:
I miss you too :O)
Have fun tomorrow, Carol, we will miss you!
I'm going to bed goodnight everyone!
iteach:
I was typing that I missed you and there you are..
ESP Perhaps?
Thank you Carol, it feels good to be missed.
Joey:
I did the prank call thingy from the phone book when I was kid as well...
No caller id in those days, so you prank call all nite...
So much fun we had...
Great memory
Good nite Iteach, sleep well!
BTW...Good news about hubby!
Sending Good Wishes your way!
sacbarb:
Thank You!
cpgem - safe travels!!
iteach - my doc in colorado had really pretty posters on the ceiling - I always found that to be humerous!!
:-)
160
Carol Have a good time!
Take my word for it, you would definitely prefer Custard. And how deprived you are, forced to eat Pringles instead of Ruffles, and with no dip, no less! LOL
iteach Good to see you. Did I miss some good news about hubby?

BBQ Rules
We are about to enter the summer and BBQ season. Therefore, it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity, as it’s the only type of cooking a ‘real’ man will do, probably because there is an element of danger involved.
When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion:
Routine...
(1) The woman buys the food.
(2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert.
(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill – beer in hand.
Here comes the important part:
(4) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.
More routine...
(5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
(6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he deals with the situation.
Important again:
(7) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.
More routine...
(8) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.
(9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
And most important of all:
(10) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.
(11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed “her night off.” And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there’s just no pleasing some women...
Joey LMAO! Those were both good. I was lucky in that my hubby enjoyed cooking and barbequeing. He cooked more often than I did because he thought it was fun.
Tinkatia here signing out. I have lots of comments in my head but my fingers are too tired to write them.
VIG - it was a great day.
Bear - You have so many good questions about GW. I can't wait to hear the answers.
Iteach - I will read your status in the a.m. I can't get into myspace.
Joey - I will read your funny comments in the morning.
Zona - Are you awake or sleeping? Love, Tinka
