Those of you who've come to 'know' me here, know I love me some music! In the spirit of "The Season", my thoughts for an interesting blog topic of course turned to what I thought would be a fun Mini-Survey for us to share. But, given the state of the world, I've also been a bit haunted by a particular song and wanted to share...but how?
So...First a Tribute: CHRISTMAS IN THE TRENCHES........and then A FUN LITTLE OWL SURVEY~~~
There's one song, which tells of a true moment in history~~Christmas, 1914~~that touches me to the core each time I hear it. I added it to my Christmas playlist, and find myself all goosebumps and tears whenever it plays. Yet somehow, I'm encouraged by it.....hoping someday we will realize that "on each end of the rifle, we're the same", and wars WILL be over. This is, IMO, a beautiful video. If you care to watch, please think of your loved ones and mine who have fought, and are still fighting, so that we at home can be blessed with holiday cheer.

Glad you're back Carol and thanks for your post this morning. Whenever the drama raises it's ugly head I second guess some of the things I post here...like the breakfast, the flowers, the water balloons & supersoakers the halloween and birthday silliness. But after reading your post I think I do add a little fun to this place so maybe tomorrow we will have a big old breakfast! Lol!
Actually, was just stopping to say "hi' to Dianne and Bebbi who've landed since I was here last.

Yes Carol they put up the tree but aren't decorating it until tomorrow.
My friend and I made about 15 or 16 dozen sugar cookies. We made snowmen, stars and snowflakes. I liked the snowflakes the best. We put light blue colored sugar on the before going in the oven. Then after they were out a couple of minutes I dusted them with icing sugar. Very cool! But I'm really tired so I'm going to bed.

IBB if you are any good at drawing you can copy and paste your owl into the paint program in your start menue (under acessories) and dress it up however you want.
I bet i could do it in Photo Shop...

Wow, the nest is busy tonight. My little brown owl is upset because he doesn't have a Santa hat. I can do Photoshop but I am not sure how to do it on the blog. He will just have to be satisfied with how he looks. I have too much to do to worry about him. He is such an impatient little brown owl.

Good Night Carol and whoever else is leaving.
We got home a few hours ago. It took Mr Mary over a half hour to dig out the car and then the wipers were frozen in place.We had to pull over until they worked. We were getting lake effect snow flurries. He only had a light jacket on. We came to a 53 temp. drop! He is snoring his head off. I am doing the laundry. I can never go to bed until it is done.
Diane/Denver, You will love Celine's show! I saw it in Vegas. She is amazing! So you sing like a pro eh? Maybe you can put yourself on video and Carol will put it on our blog!
Bebbi!~ I love Pampered Chef stuff. My favorite is my pizza stone. I always put it in the oven first and then throw the pizza dough on it with and put all the fixins' on it. It comes out crispy, which is the way we like it.
