Stuffed Turkey aka cpgem8
When I look at, lets say Angelina Jolie, I think to myself, oh how pretty, I wonder what it is like to be her. When I see a beautiful bottle nose Dolphin, I think how beautiful, I wonder what it is like to be a Dolphin and roam at sea so freely. When I look at a Turkey, I say, yuck, never a thought crosses my mind in wonderment of what it would be like to be a Turkey.
There are so my questions, that come with being a Turkey. I have always wondered why they kinda wobble, and why their tummies are so large, that its outstretch in the front of them forming kinda a roll. Their feet are webbed and its seems they have a red thingy hanging from their chins, and their backs are stretched out with lots of feathers which gives their backside well lets say "easy access" perhaps during bathroom issues. Their necks move as they walk and they only speak in sound, such as gobble and yelp. Their food intake is constant, I have never seen a Turkey in a coop not eating something. And heck why are they all so close to each other, doesn't a Turkey need its space.
All this questions started to make sense to me on the Friday after Thanksgiving when I felt exactly like a Turkey.
So it seems, by pure accident, I know what its like to be a Turkey, "Stuffed Turkey" to be exact.
You see, I wobbled all day as I did my Christmas shopping, my feet were swollen from all the salt intake and my toes where way to close then they normally are. My tummy grew overnight in kinda a roll formation. I noticed I had food hanging from my chin, I think it was a beet, however when I tasted it, it was not tasting like beets at all, so I am stumped to what it was.
By backside was 15feet behind me, which made bumping into people a ease, everyone was so close it was hard to move. I tried on a feathery scarf which only made me sneeze a thousand times. I found myself moving my neck more than usually, however I was looking at lots of sales racks. Whenever I saw a good deal on something, I yelped with delight. And while I was shopping all the food in my tummy started to rumble, so off to the bathroom I went, I wore lose fitting sweat pants, as jeans were not gonna cut it, so going to the bathroom was "easy access". And of course while shopping I had to get one those Wetzels Pretzels, which I gobbled down in a nano second, as I did not want to share.
Now I ask you, why did it have to be the Turkey? Why could it not have been Angelina Jolie, or the beautiful bottle nose Dolphin? And as I ponder the question I just asked you. I realized, with all the Turkey, stuffing, yams, corn, artichoke's, potato's, mushrooms, beets, string beans, stuffed peppers, broccoli, escarole, along with many desserts that I consumed in a constant motion on Thanksgiving, it would only seem fitting that I would feel like a "Stuffed Turkey".
Just my luck with all my three options It would be the Turkey. Now I know why when I see a Turkey I say "yuck" because feeling like a "Stuffed Turkey" sure feels "yucky"!!!
:O)

Hello?
second place!
Carol....I know what you mean...I kept my promise to myself to be "good" at the Thanksgiving chow down fest...Unfortunately, this "goodness" did not extend to the leftovers...
Good morning Scirish! I'm up early with my coupons waiting for the crack of dawn to arrive so that I can have enought light out to see as I drive. I have a fist full of coupons.
Happy after Thanksgiving week end everyone!
Dreama...You are up early!
Dreama...That explains it!!!
Good morning....
scirish: good job on 1st this morning. Is there an echo in here?
Carol: Loved the blog, and I know exactly how you feel. Oh, and the picture was fabulous. It looks like you have long red hair and bangs. I think I like the brunette version best. Sooo cute.
Shopping on Black Friday, I went once several years ago and that was enough for me.
Waving a wing to everyone...it's so good to be back.
I didn't over eat on Thanksgiving. My Dad bought a Cajun turkey and woah it was spicy. I just had half a slice and one slice of ham. I've been eating on left overs for 3 days. I can't stand to look at any more ham, dressing and sweet potatoes. Last night was my downfall. I ate cheesecake brownies as I passed the refrigerator to bed. Shame on me. It was too much of a temptation.
I better get rolling! Bye! :0)
Ohhhh...Cheesecake brownies!! They should be outlawed! I had chips and Garlic dip for dinner....That's ok though...Right??? After all it WAS dinner:)
Morning Ronnie!
Good Morning!!
CPGEM: LOL..loved your blog. I think I ate too much at Thanksgiving too. We actually gave most of our leftovers to my sister so I wouldn't be tempted to get a late night snack! Yep..I own up to it..I'm the one who's tempted..not Mr. Z! :)
We went to just a couple of stores yesterday..one being Penneys. It looked like a tornado hit it. There were jeans hanging from the fixtures...clothes all over the floor..it was unbelievable. We didn't get there until 1pm..I can't even imagine the craziness in the morning.
Thanks for the fun blog today!
SCIRISH: Hello? Congrats on FIRST!!
RONNIE!! Great to see you again! Missed you!! :)
Scirish:
Love your dinner choice. I had sweet potato casserole for breakfast. I think I need to get rid of these leftovers sometime today, this can't continue without changing dress sizes.
Btw, I adore cheesecake brownies, and I bet Goldie adds a little somethin', somethin' to enhance hers.
FROM AREA 51:
TINA: Happy Birthday to your Mom...I hope she has a terrific day! Please thank her for me too.. :)
DIANNE: You aren't going to get first again if you continue to stay up so late!! ;)
Morning ZonaBabyyyy....
Good to see you too.
Better go get my day started.
Happy Birthday to Tina's_mom_not_in_Utah.
Be back later....
Jeans from the FIXTURES??? Whoa!!
Can you imagine being a store clerk on Black Friday???
Sweet potato casserole for breakfast?? Hmmm...There's a concept..Maybe I should work on the Chocolate Peanut butter cookies??
SCIRISH: I don't think there was one folded piece of clothing in the store. Yep..jeans were hanging from the overhead signs!
I over ate on Thanksgiving!
My mom is 100% Italian she spends the whole meal looking at everyone's plate. As soon as the plate is empty, she puts more on it.
Yesterday, was hubby's family Thanksgiving. I ate very sensible until I saw the dessert table.
Zona- I saw the same type of messes at all the stores, I went to too.
Do you get any deals at JC's?
I did pick me up a wonderful red sweater for $15.
ITEACH: We did get some great deals..but we had to work hard to find them!! lol..
ITEACH: I know what you mean about the desserts..I made JODI's apple crisp recipe..seven people..and it was two scoops short of gone. And I doubled it!! It was sooooo good!
CAROL...I loved your bloggy! I LMAO! I can so relate and I feel like a stuffed piggy afterwards! I wore pull on jeans and have been in pull on pants since! I only brought a limited amount of leftovers home, so thankfully...I'm done!
SCIRISH...looks like you are moving ahead of LYNN by leaps and bounds!
DREAMA...cheesecake brownies? YUMMM!
ZONA...I worked as a retail manager almost my whole life, so I worked every black Friday. People are so disrespectful of the merchandise (and the employees that have to clean up after them). Not only do they leave crap all over the floors and ou of place, then other creeps come by and roll over the things with carts and strollers. Or walk on it with their wet boots. As a consumer, if I see something on the floor...I pick it up!
ITEACH...the dessert table gets me all the time, too! It's like it calls my name!
RONNIE...Sweet tater casserole for breaky? Hmmmm, too bad I finished that leftover at lunch yesterday!
All this food talk has my tummy growling...bbl
MO: Both Mr. Z and I were picking things up and putting them on the nearest tables...but we did see some people walk right over clothes. It wasn't that difficult to fold something after you looked at it..I just didn't understand what I saw at all.
OK..I'm going to have to make cheesecake brownies today...dang..
Morning Glories!
Oooooh Scrishy got it again!
Carol your picture scared the heck out of me when I logged on this morning. I think you may have been in one of my Turkey induced dreams last night!
I did absolutely nothing yesterday but eat! Deviled eggs for breakfast. A turkey sandwich and stuffing for lunch nibbled on goodies inbetween. Then stumbled downstairs and had a huge piece of Cocnut Cream pie and a large glass of milk.
I fell asleep at about 7:00pm and did not wake up until about 6:30 this morning. I think it was a Turkey coma!
No food today. I will have to try to squeeze into a pair of jeans just to see if I can.
MO: I remember working on Black Fridays. One year I was working for a local upscale chain here in WA called Lamonts. I was in the lingerie dept. I hated that dept.!!! They had panty bins. There were about 15 lucite bins sorted by size and full of panties. They would have sales and let me tell you, Zona you think jeans can fly try loose panties hanging from everything!
The damn managers would come through and ride us about keeping the bins neater! Yargggggh.
Oh and to make the day special they would call it a cracker jack sale and hand out boxes of cracker jacks to the first 2000 customers. They had discount coupons ranging from 10 percent off to 50 percent off your total purchase. Great idea right???
Wrong!!!! They put the coupons inside the box of Cracker Jacks. So what did all of those lovely customers do??? Well within the hour we would be walking on a carpet on caramel popcorn and peanuts. Geeeeeeeez I would always wonder who was the moron genius that came up with that promotion?
Morning Dreama, Ronnie, Zona, Mo, Scrishy and Iteach!
Good morning Scirish and congrats on first.
Good morning to Scirish, Dreama, Ronnie, Zona, Iteach and MO!
Carol, Your blog was very funny!!! I know the turkey wobble well, but lately I have not had it and it makes me feel so good. I told my mom yesterday, I am starting to feel like "myself" again!
Going to read comments.
I over ate on Thanksgiving but was back on top of it all yesterday. My daughter and I walked to Kroger to take back some Ginger spice that I bought and didn't need. I walked 13,023 steps yesterday. Also, I had slimfast for breakfast (late cause I slept till 11am), a rice krispie treat and an apple for snack, and a dinner of turkey, gravy, roll, 2 pierogis, mixed oriental veggies and mashed potatoes. That was my whole day yesterday. I am 46 lbs down and I don't want to go back.
Not too long ago, my sister and I were out all day shopping. By the end of the day, we were walking into a store and my knees were really hurting..so I was wobbling very bad. She said, "You walk just like Dad!"...that was as I was grabbing a cart to hold myself while I leaned against it around the store. I really was getting to be just like my dad.
This year I was still a turkey, but next year I plan to be a swan! :)
I see Mo and iteach flew by...Good morning to you.
I agree with you about the inconsiderate shoppers who just drop, fling, and walk all over the merchandise. Soooo Not nice. Kind of reminds me of the way the Roloffs walk on the stuff in their house.
Btw, does it seem like we just barely get through eating all the Thanksgiving leftovers and then visions of sugarplums show up and start dancing in our heads? Oh well, I'll worry about all that when it's time for New Years Resolutions and have to start thinking of lettuce and boiled eggs. Why is it always about food?
Really need to take a shower and start my day.
Good morning, Lynn and Bebbie. Hope you both have a great Saturday.
I'm really, really going now.
OMG- Carol I laughed my ass off when I opened the page!! Great blog.
Good Morning Hooters and congrats to scrishy on 1st. It was fun beating you yesterday! :)
yes ronnie- special brownies always!!
I didn't overeat on thanksgiving - but I did the whole weekend before when we actually had a big Turkey dinner! Of course there was that apple crisp on Saturday and there was tons of food from having company that someone had to eat...:)
Happy Saturday!!!
Cpgem - OMG - that picture is TOO funny!!! Sorry you "over-stuffed"..
For the first time (probably) ever, I did NOT over eat on Thursday!! and I did NOT gain any weight the next day!! So, something is terribly wrong with that picture!! LOL..
and - I will never understand the "excitement" over Jolie - SO, I am SO thankful that you are NOT like her!!
Thank you for your blog today...
:-)
Scirish - congrats on FIRST!!
waving howdy to Scirish, Ronnie, Zona, Iteach, MO, Lynn D, bebbi, goldie, and all who land!!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
Tina - Happy Birthday to your mom!!
Ronnie...Lettuce and boiled eggs???? Explain please??
Good afternoon OWLETTES!!!!!
!!!!Scirish !!!!!
First again!!!!
Congrats....
Carol... great blog... I did not over eat ... I try to take a little of everything I like and not over due...
I hate that overstuffed feeling.... havent been there in a few years......
From Area 51...Dianne yes I got it ... and I am ashamed of my self for not thanking you earlier... have it in my head to do that every time I get on the computer.. and about the time I am signing off I see the letter.... so (Head Hanging in Shame) Thank you so much for thinking of me... and my yes... Blinky got old....
Also.. I didn't go out early shopping yesterday... we have a new Walmart ... was afraid to even go there....
I went to our little shopping center and went to Bath&Body only...I knew they would have good deals on the soap that I love...
so that was my black friday shopping.... all for me!!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend... back to work for me... one more normal week then I am full time for 3 weeks at the packing and shipping store... woowoo doesn't that sound like fun!!!
Good day All....

Hello to MEK, IBB, and Goldie~
And thank you for the birthday wishes for my mom~ They are taking her out to dinner tonight and then to a Mariachi show afterward....she'll love that~
Hey gang flying through!
Before I forget Happy Birthday to Tina's Mom!
Heading out the door. Mr. Lynn D and I are going to a movie and then dinner.
Maybe again tomorrow too! Long story will fill you in later. Gotta go I am getting the evil eye!
Good afternoon, all!
Carol...love the pic and the blog! It wasn't even Thanksgiving in Canada and I ate my face off in solidarity for the last two days! And since I don't eat meat, I reckon I feel like a stuffed tofurkey today!!!!
Enjoy your weekend everybody!!!!
40...just because it's there!
Lynn- What movie did you and hubby go see?
Hi its me the Stuffed Turkey, or should I say, Stuffed Dog..
LOL..
I crack myself up...
Scirish:
Congrats on First
Vig:
"stuffed tofurkey"...
LOL..
:O)
Tina:
Sorry I scared ya.. did not mean to...
I thought I looked kinda cute :O)
Happy Birthday to your mom...
Ronnie:
I got the red hair from a box, quick and easy, and the bangs, I just cut up the mob dyed it red and glued it to my head with crazy glue...
The issue now is trying to get the bangs/mop off, crazy glue really works ya know...
:O)
Happiness is...a day so gorgeous that, if the house were a convertible, we'd be cruising with the top down...the entire neighborhood out in the mid-60*s sunshine putting up holiday lights, swags, wreaths...Civil War Game barbecue at 4pm...White Christmas at 9pm.
Happy Holidays, HooterFriends!!!
I did some Christmas Shopping today, the Mall was not that crowded, and neither was Walmart.
The only thing that bothers me is, when I go shopping for Christmas I always seem to buy myself something. Why can't I just go and tend to the issue at hand, without wasting time on me. My SSO said I have always been like this, that ever since he knows me (which is quite long) I have always done this...
So I bought a purse at Nordstrom, and a sweatshirt at Walmart.. Two very different things, yet both made me happy..
Can't wait to go Christmas Shopping next week..
:O)
Hi Bon, I sandwiched you! :O)
Mek:
Thanks! However having Brad Pitt, can't be so bad.. :O)
Carol,
I bought for myself too. It must be the catholic in us that is making us feel guilty. :)
However, just like you, it did make me happy too. I love my new red sweater.
CAROL - Luv'd the blog and the pic was very funny!! In a disturbing kind of way. :D What kind of purse did you get? I am a total bag whore....sssshhhhh don't tell GOLDIE!!!
I'm happy to say, that although I did taste everything that was offered on Thursday, I did not have to unbutton my jeans. I also didn't have to eat supper that night!!!
TINA - Please wish your Mom a Happy Birthday from WESconsin!!!
Just having a lazy Saturday night....laundry and a good book!!!
ITEACH - How far are you in Breakin Dawn? It is sooooooooo good. I'll probably have it finished tomorrow.
VIG - lol @ tofurkey!!!
I hope everyone has a great Saturday night!!
Hi All!
Tina: Thanks for the congrats and I hope your Mom had a wonderful birthday.
I walked 23,500 steps today! A personal best since I started in June. I have never walked that many steps in one day probably in years and years! Wooo Hooo...!!!
Carol: Really glad I could help on myspace. The new profile is different though, I know that because I switched to it and didn't realize all my videos were out there for the whole world to see!!
I am back!
Iteach last weekend we went and say The Changeling. I am not much of an Angelina fan but she was very good in this role. The movie was very good! Based on a true story.
Today we went to see 4 Christmases. I was not in the mood for anything heavy. Mr. Lynn D really did not want to see this but I made a deal we would go tomorrow and see the new James Bond. Quanum of Solace or something like that. I am not super excited but hey I made a deal.
4 Christmases was funny in places but pretty predictable.
We are lucky we have a theater in Yelm the next town over that is only about 6 miles from our house so it is an easy trip.
Carol the last few times I went out to get items and to think about xmas shopping I bought myself a pair of shoes and a sweater. LOL In my defense I have not bought much for myself in awhile. So oh well I needed them.
Mr. Lynn D hates the shoes but I really like them. Romeo's for women! They are great for working at the food bank!
Lynn_D...I was dragged kicking and screaming to "The Changeling" a few weeks ago. Never been a big Angelina fan and it's not the kind of movie I usually like.....but hey, I ended up really liking it! I thought it was very well done and that AJ was fabulous!. And I found out later that the bad guy was from the same area where I grew up! Creepy!!
Hey Vig it did take a weird turn didn't it? I guess the year it was set I was not thinking in that direction and wowser!
Mr. Lynn D is not an Angelina fan either but thought her performance in this movie was worth a possible Oscar nomination. I kind of agree with him.
Happy Saturday Evening...
I had a great day scrapbooking!!
AND - I even got to turn on the heat in my car on the way home!!!
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about that!!
Dianne - thank you for sharing your snow fall with me - I felt like I was there!!!
We are watching football now - noone on that I really care about - but it's football!!!
:-)
Really quiet here today.

69!!
My grandma gave me her tree. So the kids used that one to have their own tree. They decorated it tonight and it was so much fun.
I have another tree upstairs that I will decorate. Sometime this week I will get to it.
Anyone else have their's done?
Good March Bebbi!
I haven't even got mine up from the basement yet. I got the spot all cleared out and ready though.
Thanks iteach. I bet that was fun for the kids. My kids did that one year. We had trees everywhere..lol.
The following is a negative rant. Feel free to scroll on by.
I read about you guys sending cards to one another, shopping for christmas presents, wrapping presents, putting up lights and trees and I wonder what's wrong with me? I have absolutely no desire to do any of it. Well I don't have money for gifts but that has happened before and I just send cards instead. This year is different. I don't want to put the lights up around my windows or the cards on the wall or put the tree up. I don't want to look at a christmas commercial...I change the channel. I don't want to watch christmas movies or listen to christmas songs. I don't want presents from people either. I don't want any of it. I would just like to wake up tomorrow and it would be January. So what the hell is different this year from last year? I don't know if any of this makes sense to anyone. I'm not sure it makes sense to me. Maybe I'm just rambling.
Shirley:
Silly, I am not scrolling by, geez your on top of me, How could I...
:O)
Shirley:
Just so you know, I have had plenty of years like that, where I just was not in the mood, I was in a funk. And those years, I prayed for January to come, counting each day till 1/5, for then I knew I can begin again. I just went thru the motions, keeping my fake chin up and my fake smile. For me I think which ever year it was that I was down, I just did not want to be where I was in my life, I wanted to be further along. It was like looking into a beautiful Glass House and not being able to get in.
I got thru each of those years, why, because you just do.
And now that I look back and remember my sadness, I see that it was ok not to want to be cheery as everyone else was, it was just ok to be me...
Every word I have written is true, and again, it really is ok..
♥♥♥
Now, I need a snack...
Anybody have any snack's for this
Stuffed Turkey/Dog..
:O)
I'm with you Shirley. Probably why I am not looking forward to getting the tree out of the basement.
Bebbi:
Great March to 69, did you enjoy ;O)
Iteach and Lynnd:
Glad you hear I am not the only one...
:O)
Carol: Rice Krispie Treats made with Rice Krispies and Fruity Pebbles. My daughter made them. Nice yummy snack!
Shirley it makes sense to me.
One year I didn't do anything, 1996 to be exact.
Do what feels comfortable for you.
Every year is different. It doesn't mean you won't do anything next year. You are on a break. :)
Jodi:
Its a Matt and Nat, whoever they are...
Thanks, yes, it was a surprisingly satisfying 69.
Bebbi;
I LOVE Rice Krispies treats, they are one of my Fav... And with
Fruity Pepples, so colorful...
Thank You!
Iteach:
Yes, Just like "Ross and Rachel" I miss that show...
Shirley: This year when I moved my Mom she said she didn't want any of her Christmas stuff anymore. I was surprised at first. I took it all and put in my yard sale (besides stuff I wanted or my sister wanted). Hey, to each their own. Iteach, well said..some years we just need a break! Last year, I went to Hollywood, California with my daughter for 4 days..lol. THAT Was fun!! Put the tree up then got the heck outta Dodge.
Carol, I miss that show too.
The fruity pebbles make it taste nice and fruity too. I was impressed..but then again, I popped out a little Martha. I think it skipped a generation. My mother is very much a homemaker and my daughter..but I missed that special talent. I can do it, but it doesn't come naturally to me.
I watched 27 Dresses tonight, and I had to laugh with those bridemaids dresses, so very ugly. And she saved them all.. I have been in 8 weddings and each one, when I got home the dress, shoes, purse went right in the garbage. It got to be a ritual, my mom would have the garbage ready for me...
...Yes that is me always a bridesmaid yet never a bride....
:O)
Bebbi:
You popped out Pebbles... LOL
(In case it wasn't obvious, a little "Martha" was a Martha Stewart reference)..lol
Bebbi:
Glad you enjoyed your 69..
:O)
lol Carol. I would say I must be Wilma then. LOL, and Mr. Bebbi is definitely Fred.
Bebbi:
I got Martha, however you daughter is adorable and so is Pebbles..
:O)
Bebbi:
Yep... Wilma, Fred and Pebbles...
and dino to...
:O)
Neat ritual..lol. I never was a bridesmaid. Always wanted to be though. A little late now!
I have two Dinos. One is sweet and one is SOUR! hehe.
Thanks Carol, Bebbi and Iteach. Good night.
Bebbi:
Be careful what you wish for... Trust me I know....
Out of the 8 I was a maid of honor 3
times...
100
Ha! I think I got it...
Finally!
Good night Shirley, I hope you dream of "dancing sugarplums"

I really enjoyed 27 Dresses. I have been watching "Get Smart" the last couple of days. We started watching it the other night (On Demand) ad my mom left her purse at home so we had to run to her house real quick and make sure it was there. Then, my daughter and boyfriend came over tonight and they rented it, so I got to watch it all the way through. Really a funny movie!
Have you ever seen "In Her Shoes" or "Where the Heart Is"..I love those movies.
bbl
Way to go on the 100~!!!..woot woot.
Bebbi:
I saw in Her Shoes and loved it.. I am not sure about Where the Heart is tho, its not ringing a bell....
Okay..I am going to watch Iron Chef..and then going to bed. Take care all and Sweet Dreams!!

LynnD~ Quantum of Solace was really good....I had never seen a Bond movie before....I liked it!~ I'm trying to get hubby to see AJ's movie~ We'll see~

Carol I watched 27 Dresses. I think I've rented evry Blockbuster movie. I just rented Hancock. I love Will Smith movies.
Shirley SWAK if that's okay!
See y'all tomorrow.

So funny, every wedding I was in, were family weddings... yes its that big Italian Family...
Bridesmaid dresses~ OMG!!! My sister teaches spanish at an All Girl's High School.....she uses all our old bridesmaid dresses for a fashion show that the girls have to put on every year! She makes a runway with xmas lights in the middle of her classroom and the girls have to describe the dresses in spanish. It's a riot~

Oh my, those poor girls, having to describe the ugly bridesmaid dresses in Spanish... Geez I can't even describe mine in English...
Tina- I will go with you to see Changlings. How about 3:00 tomorrow?
That is a really neat idea with the bridesmaid dress with the Spanish class!
Carol and Iteach, I started out as a Flower Girl in my big fat Italian Family's weddings and was a bridesmaid 6 times and a maid of honor once. I don't have any of the dresses.
Tina, What a great use for the dresses. I bet the girls really like doing the fashion show.
