I love this video. Not only do I enjoy Faith's voice, I also really get the message of this song. This is the 8th Christmas without my Mom. My Mom was HUGE with the holidays. I think part of the reason that I have a hard time this time of year is that I fear that I won't get everything done....gifts bought and wrapped, baking done, tree put up, decorate the house (and with my Mom that meant every room including the bathrooms!!!).
This year I am trying to pick and choose the things that really mean something to me. I'm not going to stress anymore about not doing "everything". I'm going to find the joy of the season and keep it simple. Wishing you all a stress free and meaningful holiday season!!

Good Morning!!
Ha ha! I got first! LOL
LYNND!!!!! LOL!! I wrote too many letters! :D
Hi Zona! Where is Scrishy lurking?
Zona I have learned. That was my mistake also!
Congrats on FIRST LYNND!!
Gonna read the blog!
JODI: I love this song...it's so beautiful. This'll be the third Christmas without my mom. She loved the holidays so much..but I know that she is in the most gorgeous, joyous place she could be to celebrate them. Maybe she is sitting next to your mom JODI, sharing memories...wouldn't that be something? :)
Sometimes the meaning behind the season can get lost in all the things that need to be done. Like you JODI, I think I need to consciously make a decision to slow down and just enjoy.
Thank you for the wonderful blog today.
Morning Glories!
Jodi beautiful blog and really hits right on!
The last few years including this one I just dread Christmas.
I don't know if I am just tired or cranky or what. The thought of cleaning everything and dragging out the tree and decorations are just overwhelming. So I really think you are right it is time to slow down and pick certain things to worry about and try to enjoy what Christmas is really about.
I guess I need to make a list and eliminate some things.
What I find interesting is that it is usually women that feel this pressure and as a result get dragged down.
Sending hugs to everyone!
Way to go Lynn D..congrats on first!
Jodi: Great video and very timely!
Morning Zona and Lynn D!
Good Morning Everyone!
All I concentrate on right now for Christmas is what I think the kids would love.
Which is about everything. lol
As they get older I'm sure I will be in a different cycle of my life when it comes to what I will do for Christmas.
Good Morning BEBBI..
ITEACH: LOL..kids sure make Christmas fun...their innocence and the wonder in their faces just melts my heart.
Morning Bebbi and Iteach!
Iteach I think that maybe what is missing is the kid factor or at least part of it. It seemed easier to do when my children were little and they would be so excited to get the tree up and their excitement was contagious.
I was really thinking a Pointsettia would do this year! LOL
Iteach & Lynn: I agree, no little kids here and it does make it completely different.
& Zona too on that last one..lol.

Happy Sunday!!!
Jodi - I LOVE Faith Hill!! thank you for sharing this video with us today...
Lynn D - congrats on first!!! it's always better to gloat in your second post!! LOL
Iteach - yes, Christmas thru a child's eyes are the best - last year, my little brother's family was here and with my nephew here, reminded me about how magical it could be!!!
waving howdy to Lynn D, Zona, Bebbi, Iteach, and all who land!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
The best memory of last Christmas!!
we had been playing board games and UNO, etc. all night - and having a few adult beverages...
(disclaimer - my mom does not drink and we were NOT drunk!!!)
well, when it was time for my nephew to go to bed - he had to leave the plate of cookies for Santa and the glass of milk...
He chose the biggest damn plastic cup that my mom had in her kitchen and HAD to make it CHOCOLATE milk - (so we couldn't pour it back in the carton)........ anyway - after the little guy went to bed, my brother looked at all of us and said - SO, who is going to drink this??!! I was the only one that liked chocolate milk......SO - after having two beers - I had to drink (hell, milk was too expensive to pour down the sink)the whole damn glass......
can I just say - chocolate milk and beer do NOT go together!!
but - the expression and the excitement on his face the next morning, cuz Santa had finished the milk and ate all the cookies was priceless!!!
okay - I am sure this is REALLY long - sorry!!!
:-)
LynnD:
Congrats on 1 :O)
Jodi:
I have never seen this video, that is what I love most about our SMV when a owl picks one, as I get to see one that I would have never seen..
Its beautiful, and I love Faith Hill.
Perfect choice, and Thank You!
Zona and Jodi:
I will gladly share my mom with you both.. ♥♥♥
Its rainy here in NJ so its very gloomy, I do not have a busy day, my SSO is working so I am going to his office to hang with him a bit..
I hate the rain...
I agree, children just make the holidays so special, Our Holidays are nice, however not like when my Italian Stallions where little...
Seeing Christmas thru a childs eyes is just magical...
Mek:
Oh, how funny! Chocolate Milk and beer, not a good mix...
Glad you have a great memory tho!
I hope Just_Lin, is having a great time with her mom, I have missed her..
And Lani, where the heck are ya!

♥♥Lovey♥♥
Happy, Happy Birthday...

I did it again.

Finally I got the number right.
I am up late this morning. Too much decorating last night.
Good Morning All Owls.
Sandie:
I finished my book, and was wondering what are you reading now?
Good morning Mek, Tink & Carol!
Sorry Tinka, I think I am messing you up..
I will be back when my morning chores are done. I have lit the fireplace but my babies are waiting to be fed.
42..might as well join in..hehe
I knew it..lol..okay this one is 44
We are just trampling all over each other this morning..lol.
Carol - I think I was messing everything up. I was just trying to post as a test and was planning to come back in five minutes. It has taken me that long to straighten out the numbers. See you soon.
Hey Bebbi :O)
I am off, see ya all later..
I need to remember my Umbrella..
:O)
Now I think I have scared all the owls from the nest.

MEK: LOL...and you still like chocolate milk!! ;)
CPGEM: You always make me smile. I'll trade you our sun for your rain...deal?? :)
Good Morning TINKA..I bet your house looks beautiful!
I'm thinking I better get some sleep...have a wonderful day everyone!
TINKA: Congrats on 50! :)
Happy Birthday LOVEY!
g'night all..lol..
Now I am going to start fresh.
Good Morning Lynn and Zona. Lynn you beat My Baby by ten words.
Good Morning Bebbi, Iteach, Mek, Carol, and Bebbi.
Carol - I love that song. I did not enjoy the movie ("How the Grinch Stole Christmas") that it came from. I love the original one so much and have enjoyed it every year since 1965; it was hard to watch the new version without comparing. Jim Carey is funny in it however.
55
Well Holy Heck! I missed that it was Lovey's Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR LOVEY! I miss you too!
MEK I love your story! That is what I miss. Weirdly the excitement of the kids waking up at 2:00am, 3:00am, etc... Until they could make us get out of bed.
Good Morning Owlettes!!!
Jodi Great choice...
LynnD.. Congrats On 1st!!!
Where is Scirishy!!!!
Zona...Morning...
Bebbi...Morning..
Iteach...I miss having kids for Christmas... My neices and nephews are growing... youngest is 13... (this is on Hubby's side)They used to be a lot of fun./... just not so anymore...they aren't even going to be here this year ..at all...
Morning...MEK....
Carol and Tinka....
hope everyone has a great day...
Happy Birthday Lovey!!!!
and I second what Carol said...WHERE ARE YOU!!!!
I am finding Christmas hard this year. I have always loved Christmas so much and hopefully always will. This year I am enjoying each activity one day at a time. I try not to think about Christmas morning and how the day will be so different from others in the past.
The first Christmas without my sister was unbearable and I hardly remember it as it is such a blur. Now having lost Mom two months ago I am trying to concentrate on the grandchildren.
My 11 year old is so excited already that is is contagious.
I get to pick out the first tricycle for my littlest one. That makes me happy.
However I wake sad and go to sleep sad and that is how it is.
My heart goes out to anyone who is in pain or financial need at this time.
There is something about Christmas that exaggerates all emotions. I guess we just have to go along for the ride.

I am going to have breakfast and maybe decorate my room today. I will see you all this afternoon. Have a great day. Love, Tinka
Zona - I have 4 rooms decorated so I am slowly getting there. It's the living room with the real tree and mantle that takes a lot of time. I won't be there for a few days yet.
Happy Birthday Lovey - Have a good one. I still play the elf dance that you made for me, Tango and Tia last Christmas. I still laugh every time.
Jodi...you are so sweet! What a beautiful song you picked. What an amazing Mom you are for making Christmas so special for your family and what an amazing daughter you are for working so hard to carry on tradition! Angels smile upon you!! Christmas should be a happy time but for many it is also a really sad time...so thank you for writing a blog that allows us to talk about the happy times but also the stresses and heartache of this season.
I know I have talked alot here and on MS about going to Mexico on the 19th and not about Christmas itself. And I apologize if I have overdone it, but it's because this year I don't really want to think that much about the the 20th, 23rd or the 25th as being apart of a festive holiday. My brother died last year five days before Christmas and two days before Christmas was his funeral. Right now Christmas is cloaked in the memory of sadness. I know that will ease somewhat over the years, but this year the 20th, 23rd and 25th are days to get over. So being on a beach far away from those memories will really help. And then good memories will be created on those days and down the road will help ease the sad ones! And in the meantime I am enjoying the songs, the food, the lights of the season earlier than usual to help focus on the happiness of Christmas!
Sorry if this abit melancholy, but it so helps to write things down and know the very kind Owls will understand!
VIG, like I told Shirley on last night's blog.
We all go through different cycles of what we do for Christmas.
I think all of it is acceptable and healthy.
1996 I took a break and it felt right.
Now I'm at the part of my life where it looks like the North Pole is in my house. :)
What a very cathartic blog, Jodi. I hope you find just the perfect balance this year for a stress-free family Christmas.
VIG~~No apologies needed here, my dear friend. I remember well how difficult last Christmas was for you and did a major happy dance when I first read of your Mexico trip. Happy new memories for the making!
(to be cont'd)
iteach...thanks for your wise words! So wonderful how special you make Christmas for your wee ones!!
Lovey...many, many happy birthday wishes for you! Hope you have a fantastic day and a fantastic year! Happy birthday!
Zona...Auntie Nort is yelling go to bed!!!
Tink..glad to see you are up and about and getting ready for the day! Have fun decorating!
MEK...good to know that suggesting we drink chocolate milk and beer on a BL night might not go over well! What a cute story!!!
VIG: I was going to go to sleep, but I decided to check out the blog one last time. I'm so glad I did. What an amazing post you have written. But really..that doesn't surprise me, as your posts are always so heartfelt and kind. I think it's wonderful that you are going to Mexico to ease your heart and spend time with those you love. I remember last year, and how difficult and sad Christmas was for you and your family. I know you will still have sad days...but I hope that good memories will share space in your heart with the sad ones and make this year a little bit better. {{HUGS}}
Vig I think you trip sounds like a great idea! Wish I was going with you!
Have to get ready for my second day of movie dates with Mr. Lynn D see you all later.
Bono and Zona....you are both so kind and caring! Thank you for your supportive and lovely words! This hard time of the year is made easier by such wonderful friend as you!
Cool...I did an unintentional 69!
Lynn_D..missed you there! If I could, I would pack you all in my suitcase and take you with me!!! That would be so fun! Enjoy your 2nd day of movieness! What are you seeing today?
Hi, Owls! Sorry... a little MIA this weekend. The Palm Springs social whirl has had Mr Whabbear and I in its grip big time. Yesterday we headed out for an early dinner at friends, then dropped in to see other friends much later, and didn't get home until midnight.
We're both hung over this morning! :)
VIG and Tinka: I'm going to be thinking of you both this Christmas, and wishing that we could all get together and share a cup of kindness with you!
VIG, I remember your so vividly when you posted that your brother had died, after everybody was hoping he'd make it through Christmas. And Tink, I'm going to hug my Mom tight this Christmas, knowing that someday she will not be there to hug.
It is both a great and terrible thing to be an owl (aka a human), and all we can do is stick together and help each other through it.
MEK: LOL at your disclaimers!
Happy Sunday, hooters!
What a beautiful song Jodi! Made me get all teary.
We have not decided yet if we will decorate the house. If we do, it will be low-key.
MR. EBJ has to work Christmas day, we haven't made any plans so far.
It is a grey, gloomy day here (it was in the 70s yesterday, sunny and warm). I'm doing laundry and organizing my filing cabinet! Good things to do when it's cold outside!
Congrats on first Lynn!
Happy Birthday Lovey! Where the heck are you?
Congrats on 69 VIG! Woohooo!!!
Back later!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE. I enjoyed your video and thought provoking post this morning HODI. Quite a few years ago I decided I would not stress over Christmas.
It has become a season of fond memories that bring a smile and a tear. It is a season to keep a good thought, or prayer for those who feel lost during this time of the year.
Let's cheer this up a bit. It is also a season to celebrate life, enjoy the expressions of my family when opening a few gifts, and sitting around the table making new memories. And, for my friends to know they are sitting right there with me in my heart.
Good Morning/Afternoon everyone! It is very cold here (28) and snowing hard. It really looks nice sitting in the house looking out.
CAROL: I got quite a laugh out of your blog and picture yesterday. You were on my mind every single time I did "refresh" on the blog. You write very well...I enjoy your blogs and funny too.
Great video JODI..I love Faith Hill. She has been on a lot of shows this week singing from her new Chistmas CD. Christmas is hard for so many regardless of the years since a loss or anything else. My deceased husband passed away on Dec 3rd and it has now been 9 years. I will tell you that first year (after only 3 weeks) I thought it would never end. My hugs and thoughts go out to you VIG and TINK and everyone else too. VIG; I think you are doing the exactly perfect plan this year----changing your tradition. I hope you have such a nice warm fun time in Mexico.
FROM AREA 51: The Angelina movie was very good. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and she is also not my favorite person but she was really good in the movie and the movie held your interest until the very last second.
Mr D is going to be in Virginia this year for Christmas with his mother so I thought we should just skip the decorations but he put them up yesterday. I think I am kind of glad. I will be with my kids and grandkids. His mother (87) had a slight car accident on the way to the beauty shop this week so she is no longer driving. She thinks the police told her daughter that she can't drive any more. It has been a hard week for her giving up that little bit of independence of just knowing she could drive if she needed too. She hardly ever did..I think every other week to the beauty shop.
I am finding Christmas not as fun since the kids don't want many toys anymore. I am glad I still have a 3 year old grandson.
Con't
LYNN D - Congrats on first!!!
ZONA - THANK YOU!!! I was hoping that our Mom's had somehow found each other. I think they could be the best of friends!!! Although I think your Mom will have to borrow my Mom a pair of white gloves. :P
TINKA - I know how difficult this year will be for you. You are doing exactly the right thing by focusing on your Grandkids!!! ((((HUGS)))) to you dear friend. :D
ITEACH - I would love to see your house...you'll have to post pics!!!
VIG - I remember when your brother died last year. I'm glad you are getting away this year. The pain will still be there, but making new memories will be good for you!!!
Waving a wing @ BEBBI, MEK (ewwww beer & chocolate milk), CAROL, IBB, BON*BON, and WHABBY!!!
FROM AREA 51: SHIRLEY - I can't tell you how many years I felt exactly the same way. I hope today's blog will give you courage to do what it is that will make you happy. Whatever you decide will be the right thing.
LOVEY - HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 u!!! I hope you enjoy your special day!!
DIANNE - We were typing at the same time!!! Hey are the BRONCOS playing today?
CAROL - I almost forgot....you are soooooo very sweet to let me borrow your Mom!! From the water video, I'm sure we would get along great!!! You really touched my heart today. :D
Part 2:
I do have a funny story. I asked my 6 year grandson what he wanted for Christmas. He told me he wanted a brother. I said, "well, you are going to have talk to mommy about that" and he said he already had and mommy said no but to ask Nana. My DIL was quite surprised when I told her what he wanted as he had never mentioned it to her. Her answer was still a very loud NO since they have three little boys already!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVEY!! I hope you have a nice day and year ahead.
MEK: You should have told me you like chocolate milk with your beers. I would have been glad to order them at our happy hour when you came to visit. Boy, that would have been a funny picture...our 4 bears and chocolate milk! Next visit don't be so shy...speak up on your favoite beverages! :)
SHIRLEY: I so agree with the others. There just are some times we don't feel like getting in the spirit. It is hard with all the TV, etc., but you need to do what feels comfortable for you.
My husband woke me up for the early Bronco game today (11AM) but they changed it to 2PM even though it is in New York (Jets). I will probably be taking a nap just in time to miss the game...and this week that might not be too bad of an idea!
Have a good afternoon everyone. Nice chatting with all of you.
JODI: Just saw your question. Yes, at 2Pm and we are playing your old ex Brett today...are you still going to be cheering for the Broncos or does this change things this week? You forgot your shirt last week and the darn Raiders beat us AT HOME...not good!
DIANNE - I'll put my shirt on PROUDLY!!! Funny....when I was at the mall on Friday, the kiosk that was the busiest was the one that was selling Brett Favre Jet hats and t-shirts!!! I'll be torn, but I probably won't get the game here anyway. DAMN!!!
Thanks Owls....I so appreciate and needed your kind and supportive words! Thank you soooo much!!!
I think it will be an easier Christmas because of you all! We are there for each other and that mkes the hard parts smoother! And it's our first Christmas in the nest....how cool is that! When shall we decorate it?
Happy Sunday Owls.
Jodi, I love Faith Hill. I saw her on the Today show and The View last week promoting her new Christmas CD. Thanks so much for this video.
MEK, What a great Christmas story. What fun it will be to share that with your nephew when he is an adult.
VIG, I'm so glad that you will be creating a new happy memory for Christmas this year. We will all be thinking of you.
Tinka, I hope the little ones will help you enjoy the holiday. I know how difficult it will be for you.
LynnD, I have felt the same about Christmas for the last few years. I didn't even decorate the last two years. But this year my son and DIL are coming up from San Diego and I have been ORDERED to decorate. So I am starting today.
Shirley, I hope you can find some peace as the holiday season approaches.
Happy Birthday Lovey. Come back and 'see' us.
Waving a wing at all the other Owls. I hope you are all having a good day.
Vig:
I remember so well the passing of your brother, I was so sad for you.
I am glad you are going away, as it will be a much needed rest, and the scenery will be amazing, the diversion will do you good. Your feelings are warranted and so very much understood.
He will always and forever be in your heart, no matter where you presence is. He is there..
Jodi:
If one can touch someone's heart, then it surely is a good day!
♥♥♥
I got flipped today, yep, I was in total shock. I was driving in the right lane, and a car was just coming on to the highway, one would assume he/she would yield, which is what I thought as that is what I would have done.
I really did not slow up, until I realized he/she was right next to me and their lane was coming to an end. I then hit the brakes slowly (as it was raining) and he/she veered right in front of me. Once he/she was in front of me, the middle finger came out the window and flipped me...
I did nothing, I just shook my head, turned the volume up on my radio, well actually my Pink CD, and continued to drive...
I so wanted to speed up and do the same..
It was just not worth it...
Sacbarb:
I am glad your family is sharing Christmas with you, and yes I agree, you should def decorate...
:O)
Vig:
Oh my goodness, it is our first Christmas in the nest...
I think we will decorate daily...
Fun..
:O)
Dianne:
So funny what kids say, loved your story...
Thanks for the kudos on me being a stuffed turkey/dog...
Was Shirley here today?
I love when I talk to myself...
:O)
Whabby:
You weekend sounds divine.. Its like "The Lost Weekend of Bears"
:O)
OK.. I am off for a bit...
BTW:
I think I am going to return the purse, I spent way to much money, and its been on my mind...
cpgem - I thought you were marching your way to 100
when you said you got FLIPPED - I gasped - i thought you got into an accident
VIG - hugs to you
Tinka - hugs to you

The shuttle has landed safely in California
Lynn D, SacBarb and all who are thinking about decorating..
Mr. MEK asked me today what we were going to do - and I told him - I'm not sure -
heck, by the time I pull everything out of the hall closet to actually get to the tree - i think Christmas will be over!!
LOL...
Dianne and Jodi - I have my shirt on.......

my language hasn't been very good the last few minutes!!!
okay - back to the game!!
OH - I forgot to do my HAPPY DANCE for 100!!!
Hi Mek:
Oops, sorry to scare ya...
Congrats on 100, happy dance for you...
No I left the march open just for..
:O)
Cpgem - OH - and keep the purse!! you deserve it!!
OMG - I am shocked - the Broncos WON......... and I was cheering for them... I say that, cuz my record this weekend has NOT been very good!
it looked VERY cold in NY!!
SACBARB - Thank you....and get decorating!!!
MEK & DIANNE - WE WON!!! It's a good thing Brett kept throwing the ball to us!! :P
CAROL - I agree....THANK YOU again!!!
Hi Guys! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
The last of my company left today (did you hear my huge sigh from where you are??). I have not had one single minute to myself.
I just read all the blogs and enjoyed all of them. LynnD, that was a lovely Thanksgiving blog you wrote and I second everything you said.
Bebbi, I missed your birthday--Happy Birthday!!
Lovey, Happy Birthday! Miss you!
Jodi, love the song you chose today. I think in these difficult economic times we're all focusing on the spirit of the holidays this year and less on the "trying to do everything."
Carol, my book club is reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. It's about a boy with autism. I just finished some other books--I'll send you the titles.
I missed you guys!! There were many times I wanted to sneak away and visit but it just didn't happen. My oldest nephew and his wife do not discipline (at all) their four-year-old and she was hell on wheels. I discovered today that she wrote all over my laptop screen. They also brought along their dog without asking me. I could go on and on but I'd better not. Let's just say my family (especially my giant poodles) are breathing a huge sigh of relief right now. Ahhhhhh ...
Families, gotta love 'em.
Hi there everyone. Just a quick fly-by on my way down to the casino. It is warm & sunny here in Vegas. My son in Mich. said it is snowing there. I haven't caught up on today's posts yet. I did notice MEK said that the Denver Broncs won! Yeah! I am switching from the no-win-yet-Lions lol!!
I'll try and check in again later tonight or tomorrow..Miss yah all!!
Sandie: It sounds like you are exhausted..I heard a big noise here and wondered what it was. Now I know, it was your sigh!! lol. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am very glad to hear you survived it all.
I hope that everyone is having a great Sunday. I am bummed, back to work for me tomorrow. I sure enjoyed the time off.
I'm typing this while holding my eye in..got a migraine brewing..but..I wanted to post..
TINKA: My heart is with you each day. I know how difficult the last few months have been. I hope that the joy of time spent with your grandchildren and seeing their happiness will help you to enjoy some of the Christmas season. I love you.
CPGEM: Thank you so much for offering to share your mom with JODI and I...I think that's incredibly kind and caring of you. But then..that IS you..so very caring and kind, everyday.
I scrolled through the comments and saw MARY, EBJ, SACBARB, BON'O, BEAR, DIANNE, IBB, LANI and SANDIE...I want to say HI to you all. I hope everyone has a good night.
MARY/MI: You have made my day switching over to the Denver Broncos!! Wahoo...MEK, now there are four of us cheering for the same team on this nest! MEK, I agree with you that is was a shcok game that we won and looked good too. I wonder why we can't play that way every week?? JODI: Thanks for the phone call the cheering with me!
ZONA: Sorry you are starting a headache..I hope it is over very quick and that you are better soon.
TINA: Did you get MrT to go to that AJ movie today?
Very quiet day at our house and now I am getting a little stir crazy....good thing tomorrow is Monday and I will be able to find things to do.
Hey Dianne....I cheer for the Broncos also.....they are my # 2 team...
and thank you again...
Zona-- FEEL BETTER... go in a dark room and just lay still....
not decorateing this year...
haven't in about 5 years... hadn't for several years before that...decided it was time again... and took all day putting the tree up.... went to work the next day and when I got home my tree was upside down in the middle of the living room floor and my four oldest and favorite ornaments were chewed up... how do they know that .. how do they know they are your favorite... I just wonder how long it took the animals to take the tree down... it took us all day to put it up....
last year was a very haard Christmas for me... I found out that 2 of favorite people in the world ...1 was getting ready to lose her battle with cancer.. and the other just beginning her battle with cancer...
My WHOLE family was together and in Arizona...and here I was stuck in Virginia...
and my SIL(hubby's sister). was worse than she had ever been... I was never going back to my inlaws while she was there... the first time I have been in that house with her again was Thanksgiving... and we got there right before dinner and left soon there after....
and she won't be around for Christmas this year... I did my own little happy dance!!!!(hubby did too)...
O.K.... I am off to bed...
if any one is out there.. Have a wonderful night...SWEET DREAMS!!!!!!!!!
SANDIE - Welcome back!!
MARY/MI - Glad you're having fun in Vegas!! We got snow today, too.
IBB - Happy dance!!!
ZONA - Sorry about your head....take care of yourself. SWAK (as gently as possible). :D
DIANNE - Always a hoot (ha ha!!) to talk to you!!!
Where the hell is TINA today?
Yea...Now there are 5. IBB: Who is your #1 team since you are from Colorado? Boy, this is turning into a whole cheering section. We all need to wear our Bronco shirts one Sunday together and we can be the cheerleaders. I have a feeling that MARY/MI might not have a shirt. Hey MARY: Here is my quarter again..try your luck! It's funny here tonight on the sports, you would think the Broncos won the dang Super Bowl today--last week they were ready to move the team out of town!
IBB: It is amazing how quick a tree can come down after all that work. I would venture to guess your animals were not "quite" as particular taking it down! I am glad you liked the article on Blinky. It was funny because you had just metioned him and then there it was it the paper. I hope that this Christmas will be happier for you and your husband.
SANDIE: I guess you are breathing a sigh of relief. You must be a very sweet hostess..a naughty child and an uninvited dog? You are much sweeter than I probably would have been to your guests. Glad to see you back on the nest. The quiet must be deafening for you in your house...not! :)
SACBARB: Are you done decorating yet? Do you notice how it seems like more work each year...you don't think that's because we are getting older, do you?(or at least me)
TINK: Hope you SIL got all your lights up for you and you are in bed with a good movie and resting.
I am trying to look online for the Monday specials but so many of them advertise "free shipping" but then there is a minimum you have to spend. I really don't like to pay shipping if the store is local. I guess I will keep checking. It would probably help if I had a clue what I was looking for too!
JUST/LIN: Are you having fun at your mom"s? Miss you...
JODI: TINA must be sleeping off her turkey today. I think she said it was their Thanksgiving yesterday so she must be pooped!
DIANNE - You're right...she's probably in a Turkey Coma...lol!!
Dianne - cheering - in Denver!!
should we get cute little cheerleader uniforms??!
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!
oh - I saw a picture of COlorado's blizzard - looks COLD!!!
waving good nite to all !!!
I hope everyone has an excellent Monday!!
:-)
Dropping in before heading off to bed to say hello to everyone. YH put up outdoor decorations and I started on the inside today -- still way too much to do but am so glad we took a break and went to see Ant perform in SF tonight. His SIL (Richard's sister) was there and so was Susan Powter. The Rrazz room is a very small club so it kind of felt like we were all just hanging out together. Both Ant and Jessica Kirson did a great job!
MEK: Well, we already have our orange tassels so we just need our pom poms and we are ready to cheer!!
Night anyone that is dropping by that can't sleep....
Night TINA!!
Good morning HOoters!!!
Thanks again for all the comments on my blog yesterday. It came from the heart!!
I've got a huge pot of coffee ready and boxes of Glazer Donuts for the early crew today!!!

SLANI - I don't know how I missed you!! (hanging head in shame).....I love your sentiment of having all of us in your heart!! I feel the exact same way!!
ITEACH - Have you finished Breaking Dawn yet? I finished it yesterday....OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I cried it was so good!!!
I just started reading The Secret Life of Bees this morning. Has anyone else read this?
Just got back from taking the kids to school....time for another cup of coffee and to put another log on the fire!! It's crazy windy outside this morning....not looking forward to going out and shoveling the driveway. Thankfully I have wonderful neighbors that have blown the sidewalk for me!!
