When my friend told me about this song yesterday, it had 11.2 million hits. Now it has 13.3 million as I post it. My son says he's going to teach his kids this song instead of Old McDonald's Farm. Crazy!!!
Well, that was interesting. We can always count on you, Tina, for showing us the latest trending video. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this one. Guess I'll have to think about it for a while, but thanks for posting it for us.
Lani's memorial service is this Saturday. It's going to be a tough one for me to get through. My daughter will be going with me, so I'm glad about that. I've been on the phone recently with people we used to work with that I haven't spoken to or seen in years. It will be nice to see them there Saturday. Everybody felt that Lani was special.
Justlin, my thoughts will be with you on Sat. I was going through my FB peeps addresses the other day and ran across Lani's, made me feel sad :( Waving at BARB~~~~~~
Well, that was very different. Mary, your right...better than Miley. I don't think I'll be singing this in my sleep though.
I had my first day visiting an elderly lady for one ofmy volunteer days. I stayed for about an hour and half. She was very interesting to talk to. She raised her family in Panama and her husband took the ships through the canal. Very interesting.
It's pouring rain here tonight. I went to dinner with my younger granddaughter and shopping at Target. We always have fun. We bought candy and especially the Halloween candy. She is my granddaughter when it comes to candy!!!
JL.my thoughts will also be with you on Saturday. It's very sad. I'm glad your daughter is going with you.
Barb, I found pumpkin m&m's at Target....yummy. Zona had alerted me to them. I love pumpkin everything.
Time for news. ..I missed the President tonight and want to hear some of it on there.
Jodi..sounds like you had a fun bowling night. You are one busy gal.
Mary and Dianne Thank you. Saturday will be a very tough day. I am looking forward to leaving the following morning for southern California. I will be visiting with my brother for about 10 days. It will be his birthday on the 22nd. My little brother will be 61. Yikes!
Jl..thanks for letting us know this time where you will be or I will think you r MIA and be searching for you again. Will u be able to get on the nest while you're gone?
Jake played his first game last night. They lost, but he told me they did not score when he was on the field playing defense!!
I had a great lunch with my friend Angie yesterday. I was planning on going home and napping after work, but couldn't resist spending some time with my friend that had traveled 4,000 miles to come home.
Dianne I should be able to get on the nest using my phone. I will try to remember to do that. I just get caught up with visiting and running around and stuff.
J/L, I'll be thinking of you on Saturday. I wish I could be there. ♥
Dianne, I agree with Jodi. Those M&Ms could be dangerous. I better not get any.
Jodi, Putting together this scrapbook brought back a lot of memories of the kids playing baseball, soccer, and football. I loved going to their games and practice sessions. Baseball was my fave and I was even head scorekeeper.

SLIN - I wish!!! She did hint at the fact that she and Jonathan are serious enough to be talking getting married. They are going to be doing something small on her island. I told her that I need to be her flower girl, that way I will get there for sure ;)
BARB - I didn't make it to Target to get the M&M's, but I did get a jar of dry roasted peanuts and a bag of candy corn. One of my fav fall treats....tastes like a salted nut roll when u eat them together!!
J/L, I did get the package back and I am going to mail it again tomorrow morning, hoping again for a Saturday delivery. I won't have to pay to mail it again, however. They really didn't know why it was "not deliverable" and returned to me. I did talk to a supervisor but I didn't take it any farther because at this point, I just want to get it there. There is nothing more they can do other than send it again and not charge me.
I tried the Pumpkin M&Ms. Not a whole lot there to remind me of pumpkins lol. Not my fave . Do you get Pepperidge Farm cookies there? Their Pumpkin cheesecake cookies rock!
Today I had lunch my my ex co-workers, visited a friend, had a mani/pedi made an enchilada dinner, exercised on my treadmill,elliptical, and my recumbent bike. I have gained so much weight! I need to burn some calories if I'm going to be a piggy lol! I have not been on my PC all day. Need to check my farm.......
Mary Wish I had some of your enchiladas. I'm getting rid of food as I get closer to going to visit my brother. I had two pieces of sliced sour dough bread left and about 2/3 of a quart of milk so tonight's dinner was tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. It was good, though, and I have a piece of chocolate cake for dessert.
Justlin, I was supposed to make the enchiladas a few days ago, but opted for pizza lol! Grilled cheese and tomato soup is one of my favorite lunches :)

J/L, when do you leave for your Brother's? I was VERY annoyed about the package, but there was nothing I could do once I got it back except to mail it again. Yelling at the people here wouldn't help. It wasn't their fault. It got to Seattle but somehow they effed it up. Chad may go talk to them.
SLIN - Thankfully is slowing cooling down here. High of 75 today, and in the 60's tomorrow. We finally turned the a/c off yesterday. As much as I love summer, I'm kinda ready for it to be fall. ♥
I have a busy day planned today, all at home. I am cutting papers for a get together with the Jennifers on Saturday. We are making cards again. I also need to hem two tunics and a pair of pants I want to take to Aus. I know better than to buy tunics, because they are usually mini-dress length on me, but I really liked these two and I caved. Not crazy about hemming clothes, but it is the story of my life! I am getting my stuff together that I want to take with me. I am trying to stick to things that will all go with each other. We'll see how that works out.
BARB - Good luck with the hemming!! I think you are smart to pack items that match!! Saves on what you have to take. The only other suggestion I would have is to use travel "space bags" I was able to take way more and saved room!!! For our 13 day trip I only checked one bag and had one carry on.
Sitting here while my laundry is going. I might watch the newest Gatsby movie tonight. I picked it up at Walgreens yesterday. It was on sale for $19.99 plus I had a $5.00 off rewards coupon that I could use. Score!!!

It was a quiet day here today. It was warm and sunny when I went across the road to feed the neighbors cat and get his mail. Something told me to take my umbrella. Sure thing the clouds got dark and it poured like crazy! Even with the umbrella I was soaked to the bone! I had to change all my clothes! Of course I had just fixed my hair too lol! Tonight I had to go to a funeral showing and a funeral tomorrow morning. Another one of our elder VFW ladies passed. She was 89. 3 funerals in 10 days is a bit much.
Time to check my farm and watch my favorite show "Elementary". later ......
Hi everyone....well we are having major flooding here. You've probably seen it on Your national news. It's really bad especially in Boulder and Estes park. Three people have died and its still raining. I've been watching the news all night on TV asit just cintinuesto get worse. Some towns are stranded as the roads are collapsing. We are going here but our basement pump is working like mad.
I'm supposed to go up in the mountains late tomorrow but think we might cancel because of rock slides on the highway. I'm not the driver so whatever she wants to do.
We get our carpets cleaned tomorrow. Boy, will I be glad to get them cleaned. We have a light beige that I hate and it shows dirt bad.
I've never tried those space bags but heard they worked good. I should use them so I can pack more things. Good idea, Jodi
JL...Jodi is right...don't make me have to come and find you. It might not be pretty. Lol.
Boy Mary, you had a busy day. Is your neighbor gone or are you just helping out finding his cat? How is he doing from all those knee surgeries?

Well, time for some sleep even though I had a late nap.
Finished a couple of loads of laundry before I went and had breakfast with my hot lumberjack! Heading out soon to pick up a bean bag toss game for my boss (he's having a housewarming party tomorrow night), meeting Sam for lunch and then taking her to a dr's appt. Her first time having a "female" exam. Her periods have gotten crazy bad, and I'm hoping that by putting her on "the pill" it will help. Boy I do NOT miss those days!!
I just got back from working another funeral dinner. It's kind of sad when you don't hear one nice thing about the deceased! I thought maybe she was just cranky, since getting older, but the ladies from my Aux. said "in the day", everyone called each others Moms, "Mom" around town, not her, they called her the witch. The kids would steer clear of her house. She had 4 sons and 2 daughters, all pretty nice. I hear her husband was very nice too. No one could do anything right. At the card games at the VFW she would chastise the son she was playing with, who was nice enough to bring her! I was told she treated them all bad and talked down to them. I have to admit she was an unpleasant woman, but I tried hard to like her. I can't imagine being so negative all your life! May she RIP now! we will lol....sorry ;-)

I need to lay down for a few minutes. My knee is hurting like MOFO. First my farm lol!!
Jodi, I have some of those space bags and considered using them, but I also don't want to make my suitcase too heavy for me to schlep from place to place. We are spending a week in each place, so we'll be moving a lot. I am going to try it out, though.
Dianne, Yes, your state is all over the news. They even showed Aurora (sp?) and I think that's close to you. I agree with J/L. Stay home and stay safe.
Mary, Our news had a story about a family of 6 kids that wrote an awful obituary about their mother about how abusive she was when they were children that continued into their adulthood. It was very harsh. They were glad she was gone too.
When the woman across the street died my neighbor and I went to the funeral. Her husband, who had a mistress that everyone knew about, gave a eulogy and said glowing thing about his wife and she was the "love of his life." When we left my neighbor said to me "who was he talking about, because it sure wasn't his wife?"
Barb I read that obituary regarding the cruel and abusive mother. In this instance, I'm using the term "mother" very loosely. She deserved every unkind word of that obituary. I hope her children are all at peace now that she is dead.
Barb, I caught a tiny bit of that story. How sad is that?
I agree on the light packing. There can be a lot of stairs,tiny elevators and luggage can be frickin hard to lug on trains and keep track of your stuff! I wish I was a little bug traveling in your pocket lol!
It's my weekend to work. We have a wedding reception to go to later today. It's one of Paul's AA friends. Is it wrong that I would rather go to my bosses house warming party? Can't stay late at either one being that I have to work early tomorrow.

I leave for my brother's this Sunday and return the evening of the 24th. His birthday is the 22nd.

Dianne I have seen all the problems with flooding, etc., on the news. Horrible! I vote that you cancel tomorrow's trip until things dry out.
