Good afternoon HOoters! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is Hodi O' HOoter signing off ;)

Jodi said...

Do you have any plans? I have a shift leader meeting at 5. Not sure what is going on after that. I know our local meat market/deli has some delicious corned beef and cabbage. Might have to bring some home!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, HOoters!

HOdi Did you get your corned beef and cabbage. I made mine on Saturday and got 3 dinners out of it and a couple of sandwiches. Tonight I met a friend for Chinese food. LOL I was wearing green, however.

Mary/MI said...

Hi Hodi! I hope your books balance now. Jeesh, a gal can't leave the sheep unattended for a minute lol!
Maybe a little 0le Leprechaun will help you :)

Barb, yes, I did reach another 10,000! My hips were hurting like a mofo, but I held on! I took Zoie with me on our river walk trail. I think I pooped her out! We clocked in a mile and a half! Luckily there are a lot of benches along the route! The rest was on my recumbent and treadmill.

Dianne, hop on and start slow. You will be a-buzzing before you know it lol!

JL, I was typing as you were posting! I didn't get out for gren beer or any Irish food. My sons father was from an Irish family. Does that make me Irish? LOL!!!

Just_Lin said...

Mary Congrats on getting all those steps in. You are doing much better than I. I did go to Curves and do some exercising. I carried some heavy bags of food into Curves also for the food drive they are having.

I am 1/4 French on my father's side and am otherwise kind of a mixture of English and Scottish
and who knows what else. Maybe there's a little Irish in there, too.

Happy St. Paddy's Day HOoters.

41 years ago today, I gave birth to my youngest bouncing baby boy. I can't believe he is catching up to me! :)

sacBarb said...

Jodi, you work so hard. I hope your employer appreciates you!

sacBarb said...

J/L, I haven't cooked corned beef and cabbage since the last kid moved out. Every year I say I am going to cook some, but so far it hasn't happened. Maybe next year!

sacBarb said...

Mary, I know I can't walk that many steps or even close to it, but I have been riding my stationary bike again. I haven't been able to ride more than 15 minutes so far, but I am trying to increase it each time.
Congratz to you for sticking it out.

Just_Lin said...

Barb Good for you for getting on your stationary bike. Oh, by the way, you can cook corned beef and cabbage any old day. I really like it and should make a point to make it more than only once a year. Sometimes that happens. I used to make it a couple of times a year when my husband was still alive as he really liked it, too. Actually, he was usually the one who cooked it. LOL

yea.....I'm home and glad to be here. We stopped at Wendy's to get a bite to eat on the way home and then I went straight to the shower when we walked in the house. It was so nice to be in my walk in safe shower. I missed it a lot. Two weeks was long enough to be gone. Louis is on vacation this week so we are just going overnight Thursday night to a bed a breakfast. We will plan our cruise ship excursions while we're there. He already fixed my phone and iPad for me that were driving me crazy!!

Happy St Pats Day to all of you. I am a lot Irish but I celebrated Saturday. Jodi, glad you had an enjoyable weekend with Kim.

JL, you must really like corned beef and cabbage to eat that many days of it. I don't really care for it.

Btw, there is a special on Wednesday night with Diane Sawyer and Julie Andrews all about The Sound of Music. It looks like it might be a fun show to watch.

Mary..now you are inspiring me to get on that bike. You and Mary are pushing me...you too JL.

Well. Back to WW tomorrow...that should be fun after two weeks vacation. I am looking forward to seeing my friend as it's been six weeks and we usually see each other every week.

SLIN - No corned beef and cabbage for me. I took the boys to Headquarters for an early dinner before my meeting at 5. Got a California BLT. Delicious!! I did have a Spotted Cow after the meeting, tho.

Jodi said...

MARY - You go girl!! I've really enjoyed the nicer weather. Especially since it has melted all of our snow. Sidewalks clear = more walking !!!

Jodi said...

BARB - She truly does. Gave me a huge compliment and thank you yesterday :)

Jodi said...

DIANNE - I'll have to look for that special tonight. It sounds fabulous! Is Louis feeling better? Enjoy your night away! I still have to book our inter island flight to Kauai. 5 months from today we fly to Hawaii!!! I bet you're excited for your cruise!

Jodi said...

MARY - P.s. That would make you Irish by "insertion". lol!! I am a whole lotta Norwegian, but the Huston's have a fair amount of Scottish in their blood. So same, same for me ;)

Jodi said...

Enjoying my late morning as I'm still in my pj's and hugging my cawfee cup!!

Have a great day HOoters ♥

Just_Lin said...

Dianne Welcome home! Going away is a lot of fun but it's nice to come home to our own comfy stuff, too. I always enjoy climbing into my own bed. Speaking of going away, your cruise is right around the corner. I wish I had a cruise planned but I don't. Boo hoo.

Just_Lin said...

HOdi LOL @ Irish by insertion! Your Hawaii trip will be here before you know it.

Today was a stay-at-home day. I took care of a bunch of paperwork that I'd be procrastinating about for a long, long, time. It feels good to have that all sorted and organized now.

Jodi said...

SLIN - Working today and then having lunch with my Aunt Jane. We are meeting our Cousin Donna and her parents. My Aunt Jane was born on Uncle Wayne and Aunt Helen's wedding day and are her Godparents. Jane is turning 65 next week and they are celebrating their 65th Anniversary. Should be a nice lunch to catch up.

Just_Lin said...

HOdi You have a lot to celebrate today. Have fun!

It's a beautiful day here. I stayed indoors yesterday but managed to complete my paperwork project. Today I think I'll try to get out of the house.

Hi. We are at a Bed and breakfast in the foothills for the night. We just did an overnight while Louis is still on spring break. We are in the bridal suite but there's no one else here so it's kind of creepy It's also rainy and snowy too. Cozy but creepy

Just_Lin said...

Dianne I hope you are enjoying your cozy but creepy stay at the B & B. It's overcast here today. At some point in the next day or two, we might actually get a sprinkle here and there. We need every drop we can get.

Mary/MI said...

Wow, Jodi, many things to celebrate!
Enjoy! How is your weather? Springy?
We sure got spoiled last week. Now cooler temps, but at least the sun has been shinning! :)

JuatL, You need to put your tassels on and do a rain dance on your front lawn ;-)

Dianne, LOL, at your creepy comfy B&B! I wish Jim was into doing things like that. He is such a stick-in-the-mud lol! He is doing what he loves the most..sitting in his chair and watching the basketball tournaments! He is not pleased that he has a dental appt. in a few minutes, right in the middle of the Michigan State game! Poor baby! The DDS does have a tv in the room. I was there the other day and got to watch one of my soaps while getting my teeth cleaned.lol!!

Sac Barb, good for you on the bike! I remember starting out only doing 10 minutes. It took a while to build up because of my knee. I still can only do 20 minutes on it.

Mary/MI said...

JuatL? Where did my fat fingers come up with that??

Just_Lin said...

Mary JuatL? Are you saying I have a wattle? LOL

I had a late lunch today then fell asleep for about 3 hours or so. I don't know why I was so tired.

Jodi said...

SLIN - It was a really nice afternoon. My Great Aunt and Uncle are still so vibrant and loving life!!

Jodi said...

DIANNE - You weren't at that Hotel from the Shining were you....redrum ;) I hope you enjoyed your little get away. Is Louis feeling better?

Jodi said...

MARY - The weather has been glorious! I heard we may get a little dusting of snow Sunday night. It's still better than it was 2 weeks ago.

Jodi said...

A big thank you to MARY and SLIN!! You ladies really made me smile when you donated to James' campaign to march with The Madison Scouts! I had no idea at the time that I posted it, but my brother had to put his dog down that morning. Long story short, he didn't even call and let James' Mom Shari come over and say goodbye. I talked to Shari that afternoon and she was just sobbing. They had gotten that dog before they had ever gotten separated and divorced. And any time that Eric and his new wife went out of town, Shari would take care of Lexie. I don't know what is going on in my brother's head, but it just isn't right.

sacBarb said...

Well, I think riding my bike screwed with my sciatic nerve because it is very angry again. I am hobbling around today. CRAP! I am really tired of this! I'm not looking for sympathy, I just want it GONE! I have so much to do and I can't do anything. Whine! Whine! WINE! <<<That's what I need!

Jodi said...

Best go "hoist and rinse". I work today and we are going out tonight. Celebrating Jane's 65th birthday at The Hody Bar in Middleton. Her favorite band is playing and she wants to dance!!! I even invited GOLDIE and her hubby. Should be a fun night!!

Have a great day HOoters ♥

Jodi said...

BARB - I'm sorry you're in such pain. Love u lady!!

Just_Lin said...

Barb Well, crap! I guess that's further proof that exercising is dangerous to one's health. I hope you are feeling better this morning.

Just_Lin said...

HOdi It sounds like you'll have a fun night tonight. Cheers!

Everything outside is wet. There are even small puddles on the deck. I don't think it actually sprinkled but there has been heavy fog this morning and I think all this moisture is from that. Either way, the lawn and plants are grateful.

Dianne/Denver said...

Well, made it out alive from our overnight. It looked better the next day in the sun. We did find a little local place to eat. We came home and went to phone store and I upgraded to a Iphone 6 and a new IPad thanks to Louis. I can now use my iPad without Internet if need be and I'll be glad for that in the future. Wish I would have had it at my cousins last week.

Jodi, Louis is feeling better. He's still not a 100% but better. Thanks for asking.

We went to my grandsons basketball championship game today and they lost in the last quarter. We then refrigerator shopping. I wanted to get rid of my side by side so we got a stainless steel with French doors. I'm having buyers remorse now since my old one isn't broken. We will get it Saturday.

Jodi, did you have fun tonight dancing? Looked like you were having a good time.

Barb, are you better? Boy, you've had a tough month. I hope this is the end of feeling bad.

JL, what are you up too? Did your weather clear? We are having beautiful weather here. Even turned on air only to find that the fan AGAIN isn't working. Glad we found out before it gets too hot and we do have a maintenance contract on it...thank goodness.

Barb in Co....when do you go on your next trip? I think it's pretty soon

Hi Mary...how are you doing on your steps? You are such a will powered person. I can't even seem to get on my bike.

Tuesday night Tammy and I are going to Gartg Brooks concert. He is here for nine shows. My son works off duty there and he said Garth said he was getting too old for all these shows. On the weekend he has back to back shows..two a night. Im looking forward to seeing him. Not my favorite but hear he has a great show. He's performing with his wife Trisha Yearwood.

Well, hope your all doing well.

Jodi said...

SLIN - So much for spring....we are suppose to get snow today. Ugh!!! Glad you got some "moisture"!

Jodi said...

DIANNE - I had a blast last night! The band Jane likes does covers from everything from the 80's to today's music including a couple country songs. We didn't stay super late because I have to work at 8 am today. Have fun at the Garth Brooks concert. I've heard it's fabulous! I've only been to one of his concerts and that was back when he first started out. He played the Rock County Fair. The concert was free and I was about 15 feet away from him!!
