Dianne It's nice that you have another trip planned to look forward to. My friends Kathy & Lee are taking a cruise to Mexico in January. Kathy's sister and husband and also Kathy's old friends Liz & Wayne are all going. Kathy keeps telling me I should go, too, but there's no one I know who would really want to cruise, yet, and I don't want to pay for a whole cabin by myself. Not that I really would want to go, anyway. I've been to Mexico several times now so I really wouldn't be too interested in getting off the ship. It would just be cruising for the sake of it and I guess that's okay, too. Not sure I trust ships, yet, as far as viruses go, though.

Anyway.... It's nice you got some shopping done for Christmas. Speaking of shopping, I tried to order something on Amazon and was informed that there was a problem with my credit card that I normally use so they were charging a different card that I had on file. I thought that was weird. Then I went to the Stitch Fix website to order a gift certificate for my daughter for her birthday and again that particular card was not accepted. I called Bank of America to see what the problem was and was informed that someone had tried to use my card on October 4 to purchase $3,000 in merchandise. That purchase was declined and they put a block on my card. Yikes! I have no idea how they got my card info but I had just ordered some small stocking stuffer type stuff from a small business website the day before. Anyway, a brand new card is being sent to me.

Mary I can't believe how much you get done in a day. I just went and had breakfast and I had planned to go grocery shopping afterwards. By the time I was done eating, I didn't feel like shopping. I'm so lazy! You would have gone shopping, repainted your house and made a turkey dinner. LOL Before leaving for home, I did work out in my head that I had plenty of everything to get by until Tuesday so shopping wasn't super important. I am ready for Trick or Treaters so that's important. I have no idea how many kids to expect. I have 64 individual Rice Krispies Treats and if that runs out I have a bag of 55 little candy bars (I may have eaten a couple). I think that will be plenty.

I'm glad Zoie is doing well have her dental procedure. She will feel better having the yucky teeth out. What a nice surprise for Jim to reimburse you for most of the dental cost.

Yesterday I was trying to figure out what I wanted to have for dinner when my friend Kathy texted me that she was making stroganoff and did I want to come for dinner. What excellent timing. It's really nice to have a friend that likes to cook. I hadn't had stroganoff in years and it was delicious. I picked up a cake from a local bakery to have for dessert and it was wonderful. If I lived by you, I'd accidentally stop in on taco night. LOL That reminds me, did something happen to Max and I just don't remember? You haven't mentioned his long visits in quite a while.

Barb I meant to come on the blog yesterday to say "Happy birthday' but then that didn't happen. I hope it was a lovely day and that you enjoyed both of your birthday cakes.

It's supposed to rain here on Monday. It is expected to be a normal rain, not like the storm we had last weekend. Besides, losing a couple of branches off of the front yard tree, it seems I have a couple of spots on my house where water can get in when the equivalent of a fire hose is being sprayed on it. I had some water trickling in around my large dining room window and on close inspection, I see that a section of the wood frame around it on the outside is warped from rain getting in so that has to be replaced. The side of my house that gets hit the hardest with winds is the side my bedroom is on and I noticed some moisture between the floor boards in my room right next to that wall. That side of the house has what I guess is called siding so that all has to be inspected to see where the water can get it. With normal rain, is no problem but that storm had tons of water hitting that side of my house with very strong winds. Oh, the joys of home ownership! It's always something.

I got my hair cut yesterday before going to my friend's for dinner. I couldn't imagine still having my hair uncut at this point. Your hair must be really long now. Have you figured out what you're going to do for a new hairdresser?

JustLin, You cracked me off about " you would have gone shopping, repainted your house and made a turkey dinner". I made beef stroganoff a few days ago. I made too much so I took some to a lady friend who usually gets our chicken/turkey dark meat. We had had a large chicken dinner a few days before that, so I took her that also. She is always happy to get them. I hated throwing leftovers away. Matthew usually has some, but I made 3 pizza pies yesterday and he has been munching on that. He loves pizza leftovers. Never goes to waste.
About Max, he has not been back since we had a falling out about h is dam basil in my garden and my scolding him about keeping Jim away too long after his stroke, and still wanting to come in! Oh well. I am such a biotch lol! Jim doesn't seem to give it much thought.
My side of the house (my bedroom) was having a few moisture issues and making the plaster break away. I got tired of asking Jim to check it out, so I investigated and found a crack on the outside of the window edge. I bought some caulking and filled it in on the outside . No more moisture, but I do need the wall repaired. I put a few strips of good old duck tape on the broken plaster and the curtain hides it lol!

Dianne, LOL at nudging yourself. You’re lucky you have almost all your Christmas shopping done. I keep hearing on the news that we should shop early because products may be in short supply due to COVID restrictions. Also I think the Moderna booster has been approved so you should be able to get it. It sounds like you’re in for another nice trip to see your TTT’s.
Our cards are almost done. Jen N. Was sick the last time we got together, so it was just Jenn B. and I and we didn’t get as much done as we hoped. One more session should do it.
Dean is doing well. Thanks for asking. Josh has added him to his gym family membership and they have been going together, which is really good because Dean has not exercised in a long time. He’s taking it slow, but he is going. He has heart issues and takes meds for it and my husband died at 51 from a sudden heart attack. All the boys have heart issues. Chad had a heart bypass when he was 36 years old and Todd has high blood pressure, which he controls with meds.

Mary, wow, poor Zoie. That’s a lot of teeth to have gone. It was nice of Jim to help out with that expense.
You should post a pic of your new doors. They sound really nice.
I bet you’re happy that Max hasn’t been around. He finally got the message!

JL, I’m glad you figured out the credit card issue. I have been working on the same kind of thing with Marie’s credit cards. Her card was declined and she called about it so they sent her a new one. Well, that one didn’t work, so she called again. Anyway, I think she wasn’t activating the new ones and ended up with six cards from Citibank and none worked. I finally called, pretending I was Marie, and got it straightened out. Now, she has ONE card and it’s in my possession, at her request! Her phones (home & cell) have been shut off for non payment and now that all her mail is coming to my house, I’ve discovered several other bills that are in arrears! It’s really a mess and your suggestion of a glass of wine is an excellent one. Eventually, it will get done. We finally got an appointment with the geriatric specialist, but it’s not until January!

Hi….happy Halloween although here it was over 12min ago. We both got our boosters tonight. Hopefully no after effects. I spent most of Thursday night in er at the hospital. I’ve had a bathroom issue so primary told me to go there. I just couldn’t go to the bathroom for a long time And dr thought there was a blockage. Had blood taken, Iv and CT Scan and thank goodness there wasn’t. I had a few things in colon that now I have to have a colonoscopy. I Swore I’d never have another one as really can’t drink things. He kind of scared me and both my mother and grandmother had colon cancer. I had to make a primary appt first. I can’t get in to see her until nov 24. I feel ok now. Put me on an antibiotic. It hasn’t been fun. Looks like louis is for sure going to have to have back surgery. Actually dr told him he needs both shoulders surgery too! The back needs to come first as he can barely walk.

Barb, did you have a nice bday? What did you do? Did you have all your candles on your cake? I can hardly believe I’m going to be 75. Server at bday lunch Saturday told me how much I Reminded her of her grandmother. Great! Good thing you’re taking over your sisters bills, etc. What will that kind of dr check on her? Glad to hear Dean is doing well and getting some exercise. It helps with someone to do it with on exercise. Boy, your boys have to keep on top of things, don’t they? At least they all aware of the issues. I should be getting my names on the cards at least. I took a few people off my list this year. I have too many presents and some I can’t remember who they go to. I keep a running list but I guess I missed a few of them. Yesterday was barbs bday and another friends is next week you so the three of us go out every year. I think,we’re going to put up our Christmas decorations on the 13th just in case Louis has surgery soon. Next sat is a big craft show I go with some friends to. Usually Tammy goes but she’ll be out of town. My friends are willing to push me.

Mary, you just can do everything! I’m coming for taco night too. They said possible snow tonight but ITV doesn’t look like it. I want it to be year around fall. Not too hot, no humidity and no snow. I can deal with the cold. I too imagine you’re not missing max. My friends were in Vegas a couple of days ago and said it was packed and masks required. They ended up going to the Tropicana. She said not crowded and mostly old people. They liked it best.

JL, I think you should go on the cruise. Being on the ship is the most fun plus you’ll be with your friends. You’ve been wanting to travel. Maybe cruise is requiring vaccinations. I have to tell u Andy ex sil is totally against getting the shot for political reasons. He talked the kids out of it until they wanted to go to a concert that required shots so they got them. His wife had to for work although she didn’t want it either. Well, she’s a senior partner and their Holliday parties start in two weeks and u have to be vaccinated so guess where Andy was yesterday? Not by choice but he had to for the things Wendy has coming up. He’s sick with fever today so he’s really hating it now. He had covid bad some months ago. I told him the shot won’t make him as long sick as the covid did to him. I’m really glad but I had to chuckle to myself.

Seaside, we haven’t heard from you for a long time. Everything ok?

Well, time for sleep . I get back shots Wednesday again. Yippee! Not
