It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
As usual Jim couldn't think of a thing to get me so he gave me ca$h lol! I need a 6x6 rug in my home office, so I will be looking for one next week. Matthew ordered for me a full box of Omaha steaks, plus an herb garden which I just set up. It will be nice to have fresh basil,rosemary,tyme etc. I didn't plant the dill that came with it. Not a fan lol!
Mary Merry Christmas. I'm glad Matthew's present arrived on time.
My daughter and I had a nice, relaxing day. We both liked the presents we received. I think we may have the most fun with the stocking stuffers. The ones who had the best time of all was her 3 dogs who love ripping the wrapping paper off their gifts, especially the ones that are packages of various dog treats. LOL Our dinner of St. Louis style spare ribs was very good. It rained off and on all day so it was a good day to watch movies.
Hi…merry Christmas everyone. We had a very nice day at Tammy’s. We went at 9:30 as it takes a long time to open all the gifts. We took two loads over. The weather has been. Its been in the high 50’s and only snow in the mtns. I’m glad. Hope it stays this way all week. I’m. Going gambling with barb tmrw as she’s on vacation this week. We go to Todd’s Tuesday night for Christmas. We tried to go last week but they were all sick. We sure don’t want to get sick especially if louis is having shoulder surgery. Mo dates for anything yet. We r missing two presents. I remember louis wrapping one but no one seems to have it. Weird the two gifts are for the same couple. We will probably duplicate them. Little Lydia was so cute yesterday the new baby should be here any day. We waiting anxiously. Her due date is Wednesday. I was kind of hoping he’d be born on her dads bday on Dec 24. We all gotgsome nice gifts. Louis got me the things I sent him websites for. I’ve been waiting for a little beautician keychain with a C on it for my beautician and hair styling charms. I’ve sent many emails looking for it, had louis check his gifts for it…nope. Well, guess what I was opening my stocking and there was a little white box with the keychain. Wouldn’t u think he would have noticed the C on it? Frustrating. All your meals sounded delicious. We went for Chinese wed night and had the the traditional dinner yesterday. Leftovers tonight. Well, I need to,get to sleep. Early day tmrw.
Mary - I read up on the last blog and that is amazing how you found Jim's hearing aid! Kudos! I bet he was really glad.
Dianne, that is frustrating on the "C" gift in your stocking..lol. but funny too.
JL: My dog, Bandit, used to open gifts. That is so fun to watch! I love that.
We had a big Christmas Eve and my daughter made Baked Ziti. We played the penny game and Brianna won. We all opened gifts. I like the gifts I got. I got a nice purse from my Mom, teapot from my daughter, handheld Shark Vac from my son and other miscellaneous items. Lots of fun.
My Mom and I stayed overnight and we got to see Bri get her Santa gifts and open the gifts from Mom & Dad. We had a great time. When my Mom and I went up to bed we were talking and I got a text from my daughter saying, "Are you guys talking? We can hear you down in the TV room. Go to sleep!" LOL.. Oh how the tables turn.
My Mom doesn't drive well at night so we decided she would be better to stay over at Chel's house. She left pretty early because she was worried about Elliott, her little dog. He was very upset she was gone but calmed down fine. Next year, we will just have her come here to my place and leave Elliott here so that she can come back here and spend the night with him.
Christmas Day I left chel's about 11 am and came back home and took it easy. Didn't do much of anything. Then the next day I went over to my son in law's grandmother's house to have leftovers and play Barbies with Bri.
Today I have to go over to my daughter's house and take care of their dogs for two days while they go to Cincy to the aquarium and have a couple days out as a family.
Anyway, I need to get back to work. Happy and Healthy And Prosperous 2022 to everyone! Stay well!
