Happy day after Halloween. We didn’t have one person trick or treat we never ever have but louis bought three bags of candy just in case. Luckily I don’t like what he bought Mary, I just took my night nap for 45 min. I slept a little longer but wake up almost every hour. My Dr increased my sleeping pills but it didn’t help last night. Last night after an hour I was awake and thought it was time to get up! It makes for a very long day getting up so early. I went to Ww today after vacation,,etc., and not going for a month. I only gained .4 pounds. I wasn’t even going to weigh. I was glad it wasn’t more but I never lose hardly…might if I followed the program! Mary, it was 72 here today and beautiful. It’s supposed to get stormy tmrw night with snow showers and Friday high of 41. I hope the “showers” are really that but who knows. It will be coming your way. Sorry. Weekend back up to 60’s.

My friend barb has Covid. She mostly has a cold. Sunday was her bday and she took vacation for the week with lots of plans. Now she’s in Quarantine. She’s trying to get work to switch to pto time rather than waste a vacation. A few of us went to lunch and gambling Sunday to celebrate. I wasn’t around her there too much but was sat for lunch too. I’m keeping an eye on me but nothing. Glad I’ve had all my shots! Everyone that was there are ok so far. I lost $123 for three hours so didn’t think that was too bad. I found a wizard of oz slot machine that kept me busy. I like to go just every once in a while for a few hours. Barb and some others stayed into the evening. I didn’t want to drive in the dark. I’m old!

Tammy is trying to get us tickets for next summer to see George strait, Chris Stapleton and little big town. We’re trying to get them on presale but hard to do that with handicap. We’re not paying the $411 that they want and they go higher too. She will try tmrw. I’ve always seen George when he comes to town over the years.

Barb, have you figured out how to get in blog! Miss you lots. Bennie and seaside…you too

JL….did u go outside with your neighbors for Halloween? What have you been doing? Even if nothing still post. You always have something new. I got a memory on fb from my childhood friend for bday wishes and picture from five years ago. It makes me miss her so much. Well, the broncos played in London Sunday and shockingly won. They made two touchdowns…another surprise and then we traded one of our best players today to get a first round draft. Hmm, hard to figure out. Our new owners are the Walmart people and Condoleezza Rice. Wonder how they feel buying a loser team with a Super Bowl qB that they r paying$245 million?

Well, that’s about it. Boring night of Louis watching the World Series. Oh wait I do have something else….Louis finally heard from back dr scheduler and his back surgery is Feb 23. He’s very excited. We get home from cruise Feb 21 and hope the weather cooperates. He’s waiting for ins to approve a new sleep study as they will probably change his cpap. He can’t stay awake ever.
Ok, now that’s it. Night

Heyyy! I got in! I don’t have that much to report. On the 16th I went to dinner with the family to celebrate Josh’s wife Allie’s birthday. Dean’s mother-in-law was there because she has been staying with Dean & Deb for a month. She had eye surgery and can’t do lift her head for the month, but her head was up the whole time at the restaurant. There were six of us and I sat as far away from her as I could. Josh and Allie picked me up so I wouldn’t have to drive in the dark.

I went to Kaiser today for my bi-annual eye exam. I got a RX for new glasses. I’ll go to Costco next week to order them. They are so much cheaper there than at Kaiser and I have been happy with the glasses I got there last time. They cost me less than $100 and would have been almost $300 at Kaiser. Their frame choices are limited, but that’s OK.

Dianne, I hope Tammy can get the tickets to see George. That would be fun. Does Barb know who she got COVID from? Where does she work? They should let her switch her vacation time. She should be eligible to change it to sick leave if she got a note from a doctor. I bet Louis is happy to have a date for his surgery. I’ve seen ads on TV for people that use a cpap that now there is an internal way to control sleep apnea and no cpap is necessary. Have you seen it? I’m curious about how it works.

JL, I was reading on one of the Bachelor FB pages about Aaron and Eliza. Some women think Aaron has abusive tendencies. I didn’t see that, but for me I guess it has to be blatant. There are some very judgmental people on these pages.

Mary, It’s getting cold in your neck of the woods. Bundle up for those walks with Zoie!

Hi…..barb..so glad to see you! We still haven’t been able to get tickets unless we spend minimum $400. We won’t. She will try again tmrw. Thomas Rhett is coming in august. I’d like to see him too. The ticket prices are ridiculous. Yes, I have seen that bad about the new cpap thing. I think he needs more than that plus Ins doesn’t cover it. Barb is trying to get her vacation switched. I hope they will do it for her. She’s very bored. She has no idea how she got it. She wears a mask too. We finally go to Costco too. Louis has finally gotten the drift. Nice you got to go to the family dinner and didn’t have to drive. Tammy told me I was one of the older people I talk about for certain things. I wanted to go to,a restaurant but told tam that so many elderly people go there that there would probably be a wait. That’s when she said…mom. I had to remind her she’s 54 now! Brat. My middle grandson Logan went deer hunting and got his first deer. Todd was bummed as he couldn’t go as he was working. He and Logan went hunting elk the week before and didn’t even see anything. Logan is 20 now and a sophomore in college.

Mary, it’s snowing lightly as I speak. The temp outside is 30 right now. Hope the snow doesn’t stick by tmrw. I’ll try not to blow it your way. Had my hair done today and then met Tammy for lunch. She’s really liking her new job. She goes into the office every day.

Kayla is doing good on her trip in the dominion. Lots of pictures and fun. JL, is the bachelor over now? When r u going to do your Christmas cards? I’m just thinking about it now. I hope I’m not too lazy about it. I have the majority of my shopping done. It’s so much easier online.
Not much else new. Again barb, so glad to see you.

Yay Barb!! I hope you continue to get in the nest without a problem! We have been having glorious weather this week! I love it! Today we ad rain and wind. There are wind advisories for tomorrow. Hopefully the rest of the leaves will fall and blow away lol! We need to have our eve troughs cleaned out, the leaves are plugging up the down spouts. I put some leaf guards on the lower garage and they seem to be doing the job. We have an A-frame roof that is quite high. Jim has cleaned them out before and scared the bajesus out of me on the ladder! I am trying to convince him to hire someone. I may go ahead and do it myself (hire, not clean lol).

Dianne. This is your Birthday month!! How many lunches and dinners do you have lined up?
S-n-o-w is not a nice word! I know it's coming, but am not looking forward to it!
I envy Kayla's trip to the D Rep. Oh to be young and pain free again!
My Son Tony shot a deer and gave us some of the steaks and hamburg. I usually give the hamburg to a friend who loves it. The dear in our area are mostly corn fed, which makes the meat more palatable. We have loads of cornfields.
The farmers have been hard at work harvesting it before the winter. Some of their machinery takes up most of the roads. We have to hit the shoulders to let them by.
I bought my turkey and most fixens' Our grocery stores are weird. Some of the shelves are either empty or they only have off brands, which I am not fond of. It is hard to buy just two one or two of anything. I have no room to store a 25pk of paper towels, bathroom paper,or 500 paper plates lol! It is hard to find Chef-boy-r-D pizza boxes for some reason.
Our gas went "down" to $3.99 Tues, and went to $4.29 today.Good thing I don't go very far!

Mary You stay away from that ladder! As for Jim, he probably can't and definetely shouldn't be on any ladders, either. Just hire someone. It's worth the money to keep you all out of harms way.

I just checked and the gas at my local station is now $5.69/gal. When I drove by two days ago it was $5.99/gal. Your prices are way better than ours, that's for sure. I'm glad I don't use much gasoline. Here in the SF Bay Area, we are always higher than almost all of the rest of the state for some reason, even in normal times. Everything here is higher.

I don't know what I'll be doing for Thanksgiving. I enjoy eating turkey and having the leftovers, etc., but I have zero enthusiasm for actually going to all the trouble to make a whole dinner.

I just checked out the Chef Boyardee Pizza kits online as I have fond memories of making this many times with my girlfriend when we were teenagers. I see it no longer comes with the cheese packet! What blasphemy! I am very disappointed about that as it would not be the same.

Dianne Barb and I are now watching Bachelor in Paradise. What a train wreck it is. So much drama! LOL That's why we can't stop watching.

Ever since our new, young QB got hurt, Jimmy G is our main QB again and he has been doing really well. And he's really cute to look at, too. I'm really happy for him that he's doing so well as he is a really nice guy and a team player.

Do you get any Trick or Treaters where you are? I think I got about 50. I got smart a couple of years ago and finally realized I shouldn't open every bag of candy I buy and I should save my receipt. This year I opened 3 bags and returned 3 bags. I got a refund of $28 so it was worth it. Before the festivities started, the young couple across the street invited me to join them for a hot dog dinner on their back deck. Jason's parents and Rainbow's mother were there visiting so I enjoyed chatting with therm. It's nice to have neighbors that include me in things. I am very fond of their little kids. The other day Rainbow brought me some warm BBQ ribs they had just cooked on the grill. Very thoughtful.

I've been having what I guess is just allergy symptoms. After the first 3 days of it, I took a COVID test and it was negative. I talked to my son yesterday and he's having the same symptoms. We both have allergies and asthma (his is much, much worse than mine) so that seems to be the issue. The weather has suddenly turned colder and that triggers all sorts of things.

Barb I'm glad you had a nice time out with family. I had to laugh when I read that Deb's mother had her head lifted the whole time. I can imagine her resting her head on the table at the restaurant. Obviously, she can lift her head. Maybe the eye surgery was far enough behind her that she was okay to have it up for a few hours. It seems like they would worry about her bending over as that's when blood would rush to the head.

I'm really running late today. Good thing I don't have a schedule to keep. I was up until after 2 last night and didn't get up until 11 this morning. It's been a while since I was up that late. I got engrossed in something I was watching on TV. I did wake up briefly at around 6 and could hear rain. Yay! We are supposed to get rain and showers coming through for 4 days. Boy, do we need it.

One of the comfort things I cook is hamburger soup, which is something my mom made. I heard from my daughter a few days ago because she had a question about the hamburger soup she was making. That inspired me to make it yesterday. I talked to my son yesterday and told him I was making it and he said he had just made it 2 days prior. Ha! I guess I raised them right. LOL

I really need new glasses, too, but keep putting it off. I also need to get my car in to have a check up as I having done that since before the pandemic. Fortunately, I put very few miles on my car.

JustLin. I couldn't help but LOL at your " Chef Boyardee Pizza" comment! When I first noticed that the cheese was missing, I assumed there was a mistake, nope. I now use my own Parmesan cheese.
Thanksgiving will just be the three of us. I really don't want to make the 2 hr trip to Raquel's again, especially since it is getting dark earlier and unsure of the weather this time of year.

We are still getting fairly decent temps here. Very windy! I raked up another 4 tarps full of leaves to the garden. It looks like at least 4 or 5 more loads when the rest come down. I love raking, but my shoulder doesn't lol!

Barb, I am trying to get Zoie's walks in earlier. It is dark here about 6 and soon 5, so it looks like after her afternoon nap. That is usually when I go to the store of do housework, but with deer hunting season approaching who knows? She hates the loud gun shots and refuses to go out. Poor baby!

Check in Bebbi & Seaside!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANNE!!! LOVE YAH!!!

Hi..well, I’ve been celebrating most of the week and maybe this week too. I had an ok bday had a great lunch with tammy. I was quite surprised when she gave me the present of tickets next summer to see George strait here in Denver. We tried to get them all week but couldn’t so this was a huge surprise. We got tickets for Thomas Rhett next summer too. I love concerts if I’m with Tammy. I’m going to lunch with my son Tuesday. His birthday is Monday. My friends took me to a great craft show yesterday. I spent too much money. Tammy was going to go but she’s sick. We’re going with barb to Benihanas for thanksgiving. Tammy is going to her husbands family and I don’t like the drive to Andy’s. I’m glad we have reservations there. We will come back here for pie. I think andy was relieved to not have us. Holidays r always such a pain. My niece is having Christmas and wants us to mot have Tammy’s this year. She’s having 50 people and lots of kids. We’re still going to Tammy’s. She has her dad and James’s mom that wouldn’t go there so Tammy will still have hers. I’m so glad. I think it’s hurting my nieces feelings and I tried to explain but I don’t think it worked. It didn’t sound fun to me. Too many people and kids.

How are you all doing? Mary, it’s cold and sunny here but no snow! I can deal with cold. It’s supposed to get colder tmrw. Hope Detroit beat those bears today. We r winning so far by 10 right now. Shocking.

JL, I put a lot of miles on my car. I drive too far at lunch as no one wants to drive out here. I’ve been getting up at 3 am every day. I hate it. I’m on a new pill but obviously not working. It’s a long day getting up that early. I’ve been going to bed about 11. Short sleep. I’ll probably call the dr tmrw.

Barb, so glad to see you on the nest again. Anyone start their Christmas cards yet. I need to soon.

I received a bday card from seaside saying she’s really busy. I was glad to hear from her. Ok barbs here to set up,Christmas.
