Did everyone have corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day? My plan was to order out from a local restaurant but when I called them I was informed that they weren't doing Take Out that night because they were so busy. So then I checked with a local Chinese restaurant and sure enough, they did have corned beef and cabbage. It also came with soup, either Egg Drop or Hot and Sour. LOL I chose Hot and Sour but I didn't eat it with my Irish dinner. I saved it for lunch.

It looks like I will be getting tax refunds from both Federal and State. Yay! Combined, the amount comes to $300. I might use it to replace the burner grates on my 25 year old gas stove. I'm such a wild child. Ha!

I had more to say on the last blog.

Hi I’m posting right away after JL. WE Went to pain dr yesterday and he didn’t charge us for appt as he can no longer help Louis with injections since they don’t work. It was a disappointing appt. He said to continue with the motion nero for help, do that’s what we will do. He’s has no recollection when he’s going to fall. His legs just collapse. He’s in a lot of pain too. So r hope is this one dr not too hopefull. We r getting a good refund this year toward medical bills ..we paid out of pocket $37,000 for drs and prescriptions. No wonder we get money back.

My cleaning lady is here today helping us out with things for both of us for the first time today. I hope it works out. We r paying hourly and then she come once a month for cleaning.

My son is having hernia surgery tmrw. I barely even knew about it. It’s an and in out surgery. We did not have corned beef and cabbage on st pats day and missed my cousins gathering. Party. I was just afraid to go an hour away with louis last week. Got all our money back from Kansas’s trip too!

That’s about it for me. We made a few days reservations in Estes Park for and three days in Breckenridge in June. Both close to home. Just a little get away. Our next big trip is October to Branson for fan week. I’m ready for a cruise but i don’t think we can do it alone so just wait and see. Almost Easter! We r going to Tammy’s with family. We were going to go out but restaurant we were going is closed. Ok bye

I'm here! I am having trouble typing with my eyes watering and my nose dripping! It doesn't help the Queenie, Jim's Lab, is inside all day now. She use to go to the outside kennel for a few hrs when it was warm. I can't believe how much she is shedding! Hair everywhere!
Matthew is on spring break starting Fri. He will be putting together the new kennel, power washing the house & garage, preparing my garden, sawing down three huge tree branches that blew down in the last few storms and smoothing out the lawn where Jim plowed up gobs of sod when shoveling snow! We cringe every time he goes out to plow lol! Matthew usually beats him out there, but not always!
We rarely have corn beef & cabbage. As close as we get is corn beef hash & eggs. That is Jim's fave. breakfast.

One of my favorite cousins passed away last week. She was such a wonderful gal & beautiful seamstress. Always smiling. It is all so weird. She was fine one day , then some kind of complications set in that started shutting her organs down. They had to put her in an induced coma. This was about 6 wks ago. She was put on a liver donor list. From what I gather her body just couldn't fight anymore. She never recovered from the coma. Such sadness :( She was about 14 yrs younger than me.
Her memorial will be this summer. 3 funerals in the last two weeks. I am glad they are waiting
for hers.

Justlin, woot woot on the refund! Who knew a Chinese place would have corn beef & cabbage lol!

Dianne, I am so sorry Louis is still having pain issues. I can't believe in this day & age they haven't been able to find the cause and help him!

Wll, my eyes are burning, so I will take a break....

We are expecting a nasty snow storm Friday. I bet Dianne had something to do with it! LOL!
Later....

Hello dear friends. I’m sorry I’ve been MIA. I haven’t really been feeling great since I got the cortisone shot. I get another one in my right arm on April 3, then I go to San Diego on April 10. I fly back home on April 23. I called to make a reservation with Supershuttle for a ride to and from the airport and almost fell off my chair when I heard how much it cost. The last time I flew was about 5 years ago. It cost $44 round trip and I tipped $10 each way. Now it costs $107 round trip before tip! Chad didn’t drive for the 20+ years he was in WA, and he drives now, but won’t drive on the freeway and that’s the only way to get to the airport. So, I’m OK with paying, I was just shocked. I called around and all the places are about the same.

Mary, I’m so sorry about your niece’s daughter. I pray she is better soon. It’s so hard when the little ones get sick. I also know how frustrating it for you that Jim is smoking. I went through the same thing with my hubby. Men are so stubborn!

Dianne, I’m glad you decided to cancel your trip. I wish the doctors could find out what is causing Louis’ pain and leg weakness. How are you feeling?

JL, Chad made corned beef and all the fixins, and it was enough for two days. It’s always so good. He’s been feeling better and had an appointment with his primary doctor on Wednesday. She referred him to a cardiologist and they will call him with an appointment. I’m glad he Will finally get established with a cardiologist here.

Good hearing from you Barb. Sorry you have not been feeling well.
My Gr Niece is doing much better. She is still on Antibiotics, but back to school.
She is only 6, but has talked about wanting to be a boy for as long as I can remember! Her parents relented and let a barber cut her hair kind of "butchy" one side shaved and longer on the other.
Not sure what direction she is headed into, gay,bi, or full male. I can only love her. We went through this with my son's daughter who has transitioned to a male and has gotten married. Life sure can be complicated!
i am happy to see that Chad is doing better and taking care of himself.
I have gotten "sticker shock" on a lot of things! I used to go grocery shopping and just throw stuff in my cart lol, now I look twice at prices and leave them on the shelf. Matthew is on spring break next week so I need to restock. He takes such good care of us. I would be lost with out him as you would be without Chad I imagine. He has diabetes and takes very good care of himself.
Jim is the one I worry about. He gets checked up regularly, but I can see how his health had deteriorated. Makes me mad & sad.

We got a ton of snow yesterday. Hopefully the last hurrah!
Waving at Justlin & Dianne~~~~~
