Hellooo, it's only a quarter lol!!!

Got my hair did today. Last time I was there I asked her to cover my old highlights.
Bad idea!my silver hairs stuck out really bad!! She put my highlights back lol! What we gals do to please ourselves lol!!!!

I am having lunch with my old co workers tomorrow. This is the 2nd time in a row they picked a place far from where I live. The snowbirds are going back soon and they are the ones who live in that area. I wouldn't ordinarily mind, but the restaurants are a ways from the highway with a few odd turns. I am so not good at weird turns lol. Just to give you an idea, here is what the gal emailed me..

"Hi Everyone our next lunch is on Nov 11th at noon at the Eaton Pub & Grill 214 S. Cochran Ave. Charlotte take 96 to 69 toward Fort Wayne at (exit 97) merge right onto exit 61 to Charlotte, turn right onto Lansing Rd. cross the RR, on the left is a taste twist ice cream shop on the right is the hospital, stay on Lansing Rd. it will make a curve to the right go to the signal light (across the street is the city hall & on your right is Baryames cloths cleaning place at this light turn left, go to the 2nd block between Lovett Rd & Seminary St. (in the middle of this block on the right is The EATON PLACE)The Eaton Pub & Grill is in the door to the right (they are owned by the same person & they are right next door to each other.) There is parking in the back incase you cant find parking in the front. Hope to see you there. "
I will find it lol!!

Wow those directions were confusing me. I'd just use my GPS. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO TO GET 2-6" Of snow tonight and then be gone by noon. I hope the roads are just wet so I don't have to stay home.

I went for a two hour massage tonight. It was long but nice. I'm sure it will hurt in the morning even though I get only a medium pressure one.

Had a nice bday lunch today. I think I might be done with them until next year.

Hello, Hooters! I hope you all are doing well. I had a fabulous time at my 50 year high school reunion. It was a blast! The day before the event, a whole bunch of us got together at a classmates office on the main street of town. We then gathered outside on the sidewalk to watch the homecoming parade. Lots of cheering, especially when our school band and bagpipers went by. We all went to the homecoming game that night which was held at the community college stadium. Of course they had a section for us roped off.......at the very, very top of the stands! OMG! I had to stop once on the way up to catch my breath. Talk about nosebleed seats! Anyway, back in my day as a flag twirler, there was 5 of us, 5 cheerleaders and 5 song leaders. Well, now they is abut 150 pep squad people down there performing during the game. I couldn't believe it! I found it so distracting that I barely looked at the actually game. We did win, though. After the game we met at a local place for cocktails and more conversation. We took over an outside patio that had standing heaters and a very nice fire pit that kept us all warm. The following night was the actual reunion which was held at the country club. I went with 3 other classmates, (two guys and the girl I first moved to San Francisco with). We all had the best time. There was cocktail time, then a buffet dinner, then music and dancing. Our classmates are the Surfaris (Wipe Out) and they provided the music. I danced like no one was watching. LOL

My house got painted while I was gone and they are coming back this morning to do edges of doors and inside of my new front door as they did not have access to that while I was gone. I guess I better get in the shower.

I have a cold. :(

Mary/MI said...

JL, sorry about your cold! Your reunion sounds wonderful!! It is always sweet to meet up with old friends especially in your home town! Any picks? I love bagpipes!

I have not moved much today, which is unusual for me. We have been having high winds and rain all day with more coming tomorrow. I am hating the time change! I miss my evening walks with my dogs! Zoie and I walked around the outside house as it was getting dark. We both needed to move lol! She has been barking off and on all day, with things flying around outside! My heavy patio chair got turned upside down making a huge racket! I had already put away anything that I thought would fly!

I did find the restaurant. I forgot my phone which had the directions! I felt nekkid without it lol! Luckily I had my Jeep's navigator! I was smart enough to write down the address...it's a wonder lol!

Hi....I sent u that weather, Mary. I told you I would. I think I might be sending more next week in the middle of the week with s n o w !!

I guess I'm driving to Vegas the end of Feb with my friend of many years. She wants to meet two aunts she's never met. I'm stressing horribly trying to find something handicap friendly that you don't have to walk miles to room and that doesn't cost $300 a night. I start reading reviews and then I freak. My friend suggested the Tropicana as its older and they don't have 5000 rooms. She also suggested Excalibar but it's huge. I looked up Mgm grand and people said they got lost just trying to find the casino. I don't even want to go now. Then I go back ne t dec to see George Strait but will probably stay in a time share and will have three people there to help.

JL, sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope your cold stays out of your chest.

Wonder where Jodi has been?

Tomorrow we r talking to another lady about Medicare supplements. Actually, we went to her meeting a coup,e of weeks ago but now we r getting one on one.

Got our new website expensive water heater today. It took a long time to get it installed. Oh well....

Hey HOoters!!! Here I am. It's been crazy around here!

MARY - I'm so sorry about your Aunt. Glad you made it home safely, though. I'm so glad I "let it go" with my hair. All I have to do is get my hair cut. Thankfully my gal could fit me in on Wednesday because my wings were getting outta control!!! Lol!! We are having our pic taken at work this afternoon to be featured in our Quarterly Newsletter. It's been a big year for our store, as we have leveled up to a Level 4 store!!!

Jodi said...

DIANNE - Sucks that the Broncos couldn't win one on your birthday!! So sweet that the girls found that special card for you, though. My kids called my Mom Nana, too. Good grief woman, I haven't even bought one gift yet, let alone wrap anything!

Jodi said...

BARB - Glad my directions helped!! Do you need directions to this page, too? lol!

Jodi said...

SLIN - Your reunion sounded like lots of fun!!! I thought maybe you would've dug out your old boots for the game ;) How are you feeling? Cold better?

Jodi said...

Best get going. I am working on laundry, but need to hoist and rinse. I'm meeting GOLDIE and my Aunt Jane for lunch today. Does anyone have big plans for the weekend?

Hi, Hooters. This cold is a drag! I was running a bit of a temperature yesterday and couldn't get warm. I was shuffling around in my nightgown and robe and then put on sweatpants underneath that. LOL Not exactly fashionable. Then I had a throw wrapped around me, too. I went to bed at 9:00 which is unheard of for me. So far, I don't think I have a temperature today. I need to get better so I can attend a friend's birthday dinner on Sunday. Also, as soon as I'm well, I need to get my flu shot.

Jodi said...

SLIN - Hope the temp is gone!!! I got my flu shot last week. Paul's union offered them to us for free!!

Just_Lin said...

HOdi I can get mine free at Kaiser. They are big on preventative medicine. I need to be well for it, however. I have very slight temp today. My normal is 97.8 and it is now 98.6. Yesterday it was 100.1.

Dianne, I forget where George Strait is singing. The Treasure Island Casino is pretty central and not all that big. Not sure of the prices because we never have to pay. I suggest you pick your place soon as most decent places will go fast!

Hodi, you can blow your shit in an other direction!! Bur-r-r-r-r-r!!

JL,I got my flue shot last month. Jim just got his today.
I hope you bounce back to your perky self soon!

I have been following the news from France. It made me sick to my stomach!
So many lives lost! It just breaks my heart!

Hi Jodi! LOL I don't need directions to this page! I've been really busy this week so I've not been on the computer much. Yesterday was Theater day. We saw Elf and there were tons of kids at the show. They were all pretty well behaved and two kids sat in front of me which is good for me because then I can see the whole stage. Sometimes I get a tall guy in front of me and I have to bob and weave to see the stage! I'm sure that's distracting to the person sitting behind me.

sacBarb said...

J/L, Your reunion sounds like it was a very full weekend and lots of fun. Love the pics you posted on FB. Are you pleased with your house color? You should post a pic.

sacBarb said...

Dianne, Are you doing the driving to Vegas? How far is that from where you live?

sacBarb said...

Mary, I bet the GPS directions were easier to understand anyway. I hate it when I forget my phone, even though we got along fine before we had cell phones.

Dianne/Denver said...

Hi....yes Barb, we are driving to Vegas. You can make it in a long day but we will take two. I'm still not excited. Missed you in the nest this week. Hope it isn't snowing. At least we don't have a schedule to meet since we are both retired.

Tonight's been so sad watching TV about Paris. It's not only sad but scary too. It about makes you want to stay home from crowds.

Mary, George is playing at an arena there. I'll check that hotel...thanks.

Hi Jodi.. I'm doing pretty good on my shopping. Tomorrow I've talked Louis into taking me to a craft show that I want to pick up a couple of scarves from a lady there. I can't walk the whole thing so need Louis to come along. He's just thrilled...not!!

JL, sorry you're not any better. Hope you are better for Sunday. Be sure you get another pneumonia shot this year. Dr said new strain out.

Hi, Peeps, I'm getting better. I didn't seem to have a temperature today and I actually showered and got dressed. I managed to go the post office and pick up my held mail. So it was a big day for me. LOL Oh, and my daughter brought my dog home. She had been watching her while I was away. It's nice to have my pal here with me. Now when I talk out loud I don't feel like I'm talking to myself. LOL I still have chest congestion but hope to be well enough tomorrow to go to my friend's birthday dinner. I've been going to bed early while I've been sick and plan to hit the hay again in a few minutes.

Dianne/Denver said...

Glad you are feeling better and can go tomorrow.

Well, Louis went to his first craft show today and did just fine. He was not looking forward to it at all but then realized there were other men there so he was better. He loved the bakery and soup section ...candy too. We came home with a large bag of food items..lol. It was fun. Nt huge or crowded so we got around. Found some cute Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. Got me in the Christmas mood with the music and smiles, decorations, etc. I'm ready to put up the tree!! There were some really cute things too.

We have then went to cheer leading competition at 6:30-9:30. Kayla's team won first place Wednesday night and tonight. They were very excited. She spent the other part of the day going to college things with her mom. I'm m so proud of her. She wants to be a nurse so she's looking at different schools. She'd also like to cheer at a school. She has made complete change with her life from a year and a half ago when I was so worried about her. I hope it stays. Her grades are up and good. Just wish she'd get rid of the boyfriend but I guess one step at a time.

OK...IM DONE bragging now.

I'm hoping I can get Louis to do some wrapping with me during the game tomorrow. I might be pushing my luck.

Just_Lin said...

Dianne I'm still on the fence about going to the dinner tonight as I still have a lot of chest congestion. Maybe it will be better after being up moving around longer.

I'm glad you enjoyed the craft show and it sounds like Louis did, too, in spite of himself. LOL I haven't bought a single Christmas present and only have a few stocking stuffers.

Congrats to Kayla's cheer team. I'm glad she's doing so well.

Barb We had some real, honest to goodness, rain this morning. I loved being woken up by it and drifting back to sleep to it. It seems like it's been a long time since that happened.

Yes, I like the house colors. When I take a pic of it with my phone, the colors really don't come out true and that is disappointing. Besides, my lawn and plants are in such bad shape now from the drought that it doesn't look as nice as it could.

sacBarb said...

J/L, I'm glad you like how your house turned out. I know how much happier I am with my new kitchen color. I have a very needy cat today. I has taken me a half hour to write these few sentences. She keeps wanting up on my lap making it very hard to type. She gives me this pitiful look and I can't just ignore her. LOL

sacBarb said...

Dianne, I have started my xmas shopping too. So far it has all been online, mostly Amazon. I have come to hate going out to the stores and I try to do it as little as possible. I bet you will have fun on your road trip to Vegas.

sacBarb said...

We got quit a bit of rain through the night, too. It even lasted into today and we had a thunder storm/tornado warning. The tornado was not very close to me but it did quite a bit of damage, knowcking down trees and blowing away roof tops. This is NOT supposed to happen in California. It was in a town called Denair, near Stockton in Stanislaus County.
