Happy Mother’s Day everyone. Hope you all had a good day.

Mary, sounds like your day was very nice. I can about smell your dinner. I always wondered how those vacuums worked. It sounds like you and Reba are getting along fine!

Barb and JL, are you guys back? How was the trip? Anxious to hear all about it. How was your bday, JL? Win lots of $$?

We went to brunch with Tammy and group and then to see Life Of The Party with Melissa McCarthy. It was really funny and finally saw some decent coming attractions. I love movies you just smile through them. There was quite a group of us that went to the movie. It was a nice day and I’m feeling somewhat better. Better than last week..that’s for sure.

Mary, have fun tomorrow and tell Katrina hi for me. Where might she move now? She sure moves a lot. I wouldn’t like that at all

Dianne I feel so bad for you. How's your rash? Did it go away now? I would have guessed Shingles, too, if it was only on one side of your body. Since they said it's not that, did they have any ideas what it was from?

It sounds like you were able to get the garage door fixed in a very timely manner so that's good.

Does Louis have any hobbies that will help take up some of the time that he will suddenly have available when he retires? At least he will still be working a couple of days a week so he's not retiring cold turkey. I know some time at home is spent preparing for classes. Even before my husband retired from the police department, he was teaching criminal justice classes at night at the local community college. He taught more classes when he retired from the department. He loved teaching.

Mary I decided that The Venetian was my favorite place to play the slot machines compared to Caesar's and Harrah's. I didn't come home richer but I didn't lose as much as I expected to and had fun while doing it. I think their machines took my money slower than elsewhere. Of course if I would have walked away when I was ahead....... That's hindsight talking. LOL

I always wondered how well those vacuums worked. LOL @ Zoie and Reba not getting along. My dog stays clear of the regular vacuum so I'm sure she would be uneasy around one that seems to have a life of its own.

I am surprised to hear that Karina may be moving again soon. It seems like they just got there. Moving so often would be hard but I guess you really lighten your load and don't keep what isn't really necessary or extra sentimental. What does Steve do that requires moving so often?

Barb Thank you again for your hospitality in letting me stay overnight at your house before and after our trip. Also, many thanks for the use of your timeshare. Elton John sure put on a great show even if he did get upset at the stage crew at one point and throw a cup of water in their direction off stage.

My drive home from your place was hideous! The traffic was so horrible that it took 1 1/2 hours to get to my daughter's instead on 1 hour. The same was true on the drive from her place to mine. It should have taken 1 hour but took 1 1/2. I guess the heavy traffic was due to Mother's Day. I don't know what else it could be. I was really worn out by the time I got home. I had my leftover BBQ ribs from Outback for dinner along with a baked potato. I did get unpacked, bit my bit, during the evening. I slept like a rock last night. Your kitties are probably happy to have you all to themselves again.

Justlin, Glad you gals are home safe & sound!
I wonder want the stage crew did to piss off John! You sure get your monies worth with his show. I would have been so stressed out from that long drive!

It was a beautiful day to visit with Karina. We each drove a bit over an hour to meet half way.She explained to me once about his job, but it was a bit over my head lol. Something to do with his testing certain metals. The job in Michigan has been stressful. He gets approached quite a bit from other companies for his expertise. They are both getting tired of moving. He just got back from checking a job in Tupelo Mississippi.

I made a few stops on my way home today. I couldn't resist stopping at my favorite market. They have the best flower assortments. It seems like I always want the hanging plants that are out of my reach. I look around to see if someone taller can help lol! I tried checking the price on one and the dam thing came down with a bang! I did get someones attention lol!

Hi...
JL, I too am glad you and Barb are both home safely and we didn’t even need the bail fund! My big rash is better. It’s actually on both sides but worse on right side. Heard from dermo yesterday and she put me on another pill and more ointments. It doesn’t hurt like last week. Go to primary on Thursday and back to dermo Friday. This has been quite the deal. It will be awhile before it goes away. Dr said it’s a skin yeast infection and now culture shows bacteria too. I was scared I had that flesh eating disease ! Can you tell my imagination gets the better of me? Poor Louis has had to listen to me whine. Louis just likes to go shooting and does do it a couple of times a week. I’m glad he’s still teaching after summer too. I don’t know if he loves it as much as your husband did but it keeps them busy.

Today louis was finally approved for Medicare and we signed him up for his supplement this afternoon. Our homeowners insurance paid all but $500 of our garage door! Sigh. Breath of relief. We went to Costco tonight for a prescription and dinner. Hot dogs, drinks and shared an ice cream...$5.00 dinner. Can’t beat that price.

Mary, glad you had a fun lunch. Did you buy that little dog at the flower shop? I’m glad the flower basket didn’t come down on your head! You are having issues with height lately. Lol. Did you get some flowers. They are so pretty in the store. Many people were buying them at Costco tonight.

Barb, I’m sure missing you.

Well, tomorrow my grandson graduates. We are very excited. Louis and I are going to the place very very early as I’m very nervous about parking and getting a handicap seat. I told louis to bring a magazine as I’m hoping we will be ahead of the crowd.

Dianne, Loved the picture with you, Lois and your Grandson. You have lost a lot of weight and look fabulous!
I have a wedding next Fri and an open house on Sat.
We had an appmt. for Jim today to discuss the way to deal with the aneurysm in his aorta. Unfortunately they had called and rescheduled us for tomorrow and Jim didn't look in his phone. He is still not very savey on using his new smart phone! Grrr!

I did not buy the dog. Too expensive. I only bought flowers to re-pot. My patio looks pretty now.
Sorry about your skin problem. I wonder how you got it? Is it catching?

Howdy..went to my primary and dermo today and except for the red I don’t have to use creams, etc., anymore. I still have pills to take for about another week. The red could last up to six mos. I guess it started out a skin yeast skin infection and then bacteria crept in it. The cultures found it and that’s why I was in so much pain. I have powder prescription just in case. I really like my new dermo a lot. My primary said I have “adventurous illnesses ”. That’s for darn sure. I said why can’t I just have the sneezes? Needless to say, nurse Louis is overjoyed that he has been relieved of his duties! Btw, don’t know how I got it and it was not contagious.

Mary, how did Jim do at his dr appt? What’s the plan? I hope it’s an easy fix. Will he have to have surgery? Thanks for the weight compliment....I’m plugging slowly along. I’d like to lose two more pounds tonstsrt vacation and then continue after I get home again. It sounds like you have a busy fun weekend. I like busy weekends.

I just finished my summer clothes and bagging them up to take to Louis’s girls. Amazing how many things still had tags on them. I don’t have much left that Ive bought this year. I’m not going to get anymore since I hope to go down in size. I just wish my butt would go down in size! Had my wedding rings sized down again. My feet and fingers are getting Smaller!

Barb, are you getting some rest after your trip? Remember, everything doesn’t have to be done at once. Take your time. Did your kitties miss you? I miss you.

JL, do you have any plans for the weekend? Barb and I are going to see a Book Club tomorrow. She still hasn’t found a job and was laid off the end of January. It’s really hard money wise and mental for her. She’s such a great worker and has so much mortgage experience. Depressing job market right now.

Well. That’s about my bday. Supposed to have a rainy weekend but it’s been in the 80’s all week. Have a good weekend everyone.

Hello Ladies. I hope you all had a nice Mother's Day. Dean came over with a card and flowers shortly after Linda left. We sat and talked for a while and I was yawning a lot, so Dean asked if I was tired. I said yes and he said maybe the best gift he could give me would be to leave and let me take a nap. We talked a little about doing something this weekend and he left, so I went to the bedroom and took a long nap. I was still very tired on Monday and slept on and off all day. I got up to watch Dancing with the Stars and went to bed soon after it was over. I couldn't believe how tired I was. We did a lot of walking in Vegas and I guess it wore me out.

Dianne, I think if I had a rash like that it would worry me a lot, too. I'm glad it's clearing up. I sure wish I could get on a weight loss program so I could lose some of this weight I have put on. I just can't seem to get disciplined enough to stick with a program. I am going to give it another try but Chad is coming to visit on Tuesday until May 30, so I don't know if I'll be able to stick with it.

Linda, It was a pleasure to have you here. I had a great time with you and Lynn, even though it did wear me out. After I counted my money, it turned out that I didn't lose as much as I first thought, so that was a good thing. I took Mellie to the new Vet today, (rescheduled from Wed.), and they did another urinalysis plus they are going to do a more extensive test to include a culture, that they didn't do last time. I won't have results until Thursday. I did not resume giving Mellie the medication. I think she has been OK, although she has been meowing a lot since we got home.

Mary, How nice that you got to meet up with Karina. Are they going to move to Mississippi now? I would hate moving around that much. I've been in my house since July 4, 1968 and when I leave it, it will be feet first! I hated just having to pack things to get ready to have the new floors put down. I'm glad to hear that Jim is doing well. I bet not smoking is still hard for him.

Thank you all for your condolences for my Uncle Mike. His funeral is tomorrow and I have talked to many relatives that will be there. I am very sad, but he had a wonderful long life and his passing was very peaceful for him. He was under Hospice care and not in any pain and he just went to sleep on Saturday night and didn't wake up on Sunday. It was the best possible way for him and now he is with Jim, his partner of 53 years. I will miss him dearly, but we were lucky to have him in our lives for such a long time.
